I don't think this is a real Departure thread, as I'll just be gone for the weekend, back late on Monday. I'll be out with my relatives, but internet time will be 1% to 0%. Yep. So, don't miss me too much. It'll be okay.
As soon as I return, we can all party like rock stars. Please, wait to set things on fire until I return.

Has anyone ever watched this show?
It's about Stan Lee and Daniel Browning Smith(World's most flexible man) travel over the world looking for superhumans. It's actually surprisingly cool, as in the first episode you meet a man who can survive incredible amounts of electricity flowing through his body, and a blind man who can see using echolocation.

If you haven't watched, I recommend that you do. However, throughout every episode you're pretty much screaming in your head, "Oh holy crap he's going to die."

    Okay- big news, people.
This is not one of those stories for lazy people where you just read.
Seriously, if the world kept reading stories like that, we'd be obese and stupid.

This story will take some effort on your part.
It's what we in the business call "A Choose You Own Adventure", or if you wish to shorten it, "A Super-Story".

    This Super-story is entitled
    ~I Lived~ Machine
Now, enough with me talking boring words and stuff. I will now explain how this works.

    How It Works
As a Choose Your Own Adventure, we usually have many pages for you to flip through annoyingly. However, what with the wonderful Spoiler Tags supplied by the darling vBulletin, it's quite simple to let the reader make the choices.
Let's try it out in practice:
Britishism scanned through the forums to his favorite sections. Which section should he choose?
Brit entered The Spam Zone and was attacked with a storm of Trollfaces.
Brit entered The Creativity Corner and read every story yet to offer, spending 79 hours.

Tah-dah! Simple, I hope. When we really get into the story, note that the choices will become more important and shall eventually determine the fate of the character- at least, in your eyes.
Now, that's basically all there is to it- key word basically. As the story progresses, I may have music tracks to listen to, in order to truly perfect the experience. And at certain key points, I may open I short poll in order to determine what happens next- for everybody.
This may seem somewhat complicated, but hey, it should keep you nice and slim. So, I hope you understand. If you don't, go read a book.

Now, onto the intro- no choices here, I'm simply introducing the story.

    Intro
It is the year 2590. Earth has begun the age of robotics, finally creating fully functional robot beings. Throughout the surrounding galaxies, Earth has been just a blip on the map for ages. But now... the development of dangerous technologies on Earth has caused alien forces to notice the Earthlings. Unfortunately, the spaceship impaired Earthlings can't know the planned attacks. However, using advanced weaponry, Earth defends itself from all the invaders... all but one.
The planet Ralon 4, far from Earth's orbit, is planning an attack of the worst kind. An attack from the inside.

Byron Erae is a relatively moronic man. He lives with his intelligent sister Maya in a small lab in Canada. They recently found a young man named Silvan lying on the road outside. Apparently, mysterious sleeping men have been found on all corners of the planet. Despite Maya's nervousness, Byron convinced her the man needed a home. They took Silvan in, and he has been living with them for 9 months. Byron and Silvan have become close friends. Recently, influential scientists throughout the globe have noticed a strange spike in earthquakes. Studies have proven that earthquakes began increasing in amount exactly 9 months ago.

And so, without Earth even knowing, the greatest war ever to be fought has just begun.

And there we go. I shall post Chapter 1 in the coming days, and during Chapter 1 you will experience the brilliant power that comes...
    with choosing your own adventure.

    Pikmin :D

Pikmin is a great game. Some would argue that it's difficult, or boring, or whatever.
I find it, and its more freedom-based sequel, classics.

The difficulty is terribly noticeable in the first game, and I only made it on my third playthrough. However, Pikmin 2 is much easier and gives you enough time to really explore. But whether you prefer the difficulty, mindlessly controlling tiny plant-monsters while exploring a post-apocalyptic Earth? Count me in.

The fact that Pikmin got re-made for the Wii is incredibly refreshing, and proves that Pikmin can stand the test of time with other great games.

    THOUGHTZ?

    Crossbones

    Crossbones

Pirates have always been a topic of adventure books and romantic songs.
Rarely has the truth been told of these heroes and villains of the sea.
    That is my mission today.
When this adventure is finished, the greatest pirate legend of all time will be revealed.

Captain Habit, Ye Great Legend of The Seven Seas has disappeared. Marines and fellow pirates alike have been searching for him for the past year. Skeptics believe not even the great Habit could have survived all these years. However, his first mate, Colton Starbuck, has revealed to the public that Captain Habit is alive. Colton has been writing letters to the Captain, although the Captain's exact location was never specified. Colton is now leaving a reward price of 700,000 gold doubloons for the man who locates Captain Habit. Pirates and marines are now searching the seas for this legend, hoping to receive the treasure of a lifetime. You are one of them. Let the quest begin.

"Roxas. Wake up." A firm but quiet voice came into the white room. Shadows flowed through the air, covering everything. The body tossed and turned. "Awaken, fool." the voice spoke again.
"My... name..." the body sat up. "My name isn't Roxas..." it said.
"You dare to disrespect your new title?" the firm voice replied coldy.
"Where... Am I?" the body said, getting to its feet.
"Welcome to Castle Oblivion." said another voice, this one higher and cruel.
"I..." said the firm voice, "Am Xemnas."
The second voice laughed, an awful cackle fueled by hate. "And I, dear boy, am Xion."
The body walked through the white room, running its hand through the shadows.
"I just don't understand..." said the body. "How you could try and betray us again."
"Hm?" said Xemnas. "Is your memory returning, boy?"
The body bowed it's head. "My memory returned enough..." it said,"To know who you really are."
Xion laughed again. "Did it? Do you remember us... do you remember Sora?" she asked.
"Don't play with me, Xion. I am powerful. You... Are nothing."
The shadows flashed towards the body. Beams of light shot through them, landing on the white walls behind. "Leave my castle, weaklings. You have awakened your demise."
The voices screamed, and light flooded the room.

I live near a beach so I visit commonly, and now I want to know your beach experiences. From trippy to amazing, let me know!

Here's a sample of my experiences:

While chilling by the coast, I was hit by a large wave. I opened my eyes and I was in the ocean. I tried to swim back to shore (which was still nearby), and was slammed by an enormous wave. I flew through the air and landed safely in the sand. The best part was when an old man dashed up to me and started panicking. I said I was okay but he stayed nearby watching me for about a half hour.

Yeah, I'm creative. I know, right? Me- creative? But yes, I am. I write poems and songs and stuff.

First- a short song/long musical poem called Paper Thin. It's about a guy who finds out his girlfriend is cheating on him. It's not really suggestive, but if you're 10 or under, it ain't your thing.

    (quiet ukulele and drums)

If you wanna walk alone at night jus let me know, but if I wanna dream I'll let you go(hold out)

    My girl likes heavy metal
She wants to sing about her boy
    I tell her oh whatever
Just don't act so coy(hold out)

Do you think that I'm stupid
That I got wrapped up by Cupid
That I'm to blind to really see
But you will never make a fool of me

I know what you've been doing
The ways your eyes are moving
Baby I'm not gonna let you win
    Don't you know that I'm not paper-thin*

(Ukulele replaced with elec. Guitar, drums louder)*
    You're breaking lead*
He said she said we said
That were zombies walking loving dead
And there's discomfort resting in our bed

*So I'll put this car in drive
Because your lies won't keep on burning me alive*
And I'm leaving this household filled with sin*
    Since I'm not paper thin
    I'm not paper-thin
    Oh baby I'm not paper*

    (guitar riff)
    Thin!

Why did the chicken cross the road?
To get to the other side.
We've all heard that before. But did you ever really think about it?
In reality, it's a hillarious and intelligent joke. And here's why.
In many religions and cultures, the afterlife is considered "The Other Side".
And the chance of survival of a road-crossing chicken is almost 0.
So the sad, lonely chicken wished to end it all.
    So he crossed the road.
And got to the other side.

Hey there, my name's Britishism. Even though I viewed this site before, I had no idea common folk (just kidding) like me could sign up. But now I'm not stupid, and I signed up. I like Kingdom Hearts (ORLY), and writing, and forums. It's a perfect fit. I'll probably write a fanfic at some point , but up till then I'll be posting! So keep an eye open for my posts, since they'll be kind of interesting. Well, I hope. Until I digitally see you again, Britishism is out!
