It's more like buying a car because it looks nice. Graphics will always be considered a selling point me. A game which is aesthetically pleasing will always make it more enjoyable (for me anyway).
I have the same feeling with Resident Evil 4. I was so dissapointed when they released the PC port but thank god for mods.
Have to agree, I've been playing Kingdoms of Amalur on my PC with everything on high and it looks gorgeous as do most games on higher graphic settings. I really do notice a difference when I switch from my PC to my PS3.

At about 8am on the 23rd of October my nan lost her fight against lung cancer. I'm not one to grieve or mourn as accepting death has become a natural part of who i am, but a part of me just feels abit confused. She lived only a few roads away and seeing her a couple times a week either at her home or the hospital became part of my routine. It just feels slightly weird not seeing her around anymore. I'm not feeling down and I know that eventually time will pass and i'll feel better but it's just taken a long time to sink in.
I usually order my game online from sites like Amazon and Play. I don't mind waiting a few extra days for the game to arrive and saving abit money is nice to. I have never pre-ordered a game though i have been to a midnight release once or twice for the banter.
I got a call this morning from my bank. They told me that someone in Japan tried to withdraw £400 out of my account.
