I'm not gonna bother commenting on the lineart since you already started on the colouring process. *I love it btw just minor propotion biz but screw that :3* Well, the shading you are doing now is soft, very soft - so soft that you have a hard time seeing your shading and it instead looks flat when you don't want it to do that. You could try to add more DARK shadows and LIGHT highlights, there is no shame messing around with countless layers if that makes you more comfortable in the progress. Actually I'd recommend you use different layers in the start, if you find out you don't like the result then down the trashbin that layer goes! An advantage of the digital art I'd say, you're allowed to mess up. If you are familiar with the layer settings (multiply, screen, etcetc), feel free experimenting with those in your layers to see if you end up with something you like. The eyes look very good, I'd keep those unless you change your mind later. The hair will have a smooth surface so make sure you can add some sharp shine where the light would hit them. Same goes with the keyblades, as they are metal material they are also rather smooth looking. Most times smooth surface = sharper shadows and shine effects. So keep experimenting, you've worked so hard with the lineart already I can tell, it wants you to fully finish it in it's glory! <3

*moves to traditional art* Those are pretty nice, and imo the first painting with the two flower pots gives a nostalgic feeling to the viewer. CnCing would probably be pointless when it's so old and I don't know if you plan on giving painting still life images another shot. I hope you will though, you could really create some cool stuff if you keep working. :3
