"Sora, doctors orders... and it's just the stomach...."Riku sighed, lifting Sora's shirt for the doctor. "Thank you Riku..."Dr.Rhuneth smiled. "Now, this miiight be alittle cold..." "what might be-ah!"Sora yelped as the cool clear gel was put on his stomach. "That was cold!"he whined. "I warned you..Now will you please hold still?"Dr.Rhuneth asked. "Yes mam..."Sora said, Riku grabbing Sora by the arm to calm him down. As the 'probe-looking thing'- from what Sora dubbed it as-was moved around his stomach the image of the child inside shown clear as day. "ah! Its her...or him! her? him? Um..." "It's a girl. If it was a boy you'd definately be able to tell..."the doctor said. "ha! Riku, look at her! She-"Sora turned his attention to Riku, seeing the silverette staring at the screen. "Ri?" "I-I'm fine..."Riku snapped out of his trance. "Well, she sure is healthy... I'd say she might be due in a couple of days, no more than fourteen. So no heavy lifting, no combat, and definately no gummi travel until you've delivered." "Yes mam..."Sora sighed as the doctor cleaned off Sora's stomach. "alright. You're free at last Sora. but remember what I said." "yes mam..." "what, no being put on bed rest?"Riku asked. "With Sora's stubborness?" "Touche`..."
"So I guess we're all hoping on the baby being a girl?"Valerie asked. "Seems like it."Sora chuckled. -(oh forget the walk, time skip.XD)- "Oh my gosh, Sora! Look at how big you are!"The doctor checking up on Sora was female, and amazed look on her face. "Helloooo Doc!"Valerie joked, giving a small chuckle. "Alright, don't tell me you dragged all of them with you because you didn't want to see me."The doctor sighed. "of course not, Dr.Rhuneth..."Sora smiled. Riku gave a small chuckle. Liar.... "Alright, you know I can only fit you and two of them in my examination room. Riku and Kairi as usual?" "Uh-huh..."Sora was blushing slightly. "Hey! Don't we get a say in this?"Valerie asked. "Sorry Valerie."Riku said. "Alright, come on. Your lucky the hospitals still in good condition after that monster attacked..."Dr.Rhuneth mentioned fro the trio to come into the room. Sora went in first, lying on his back. Riku joined him. "Alright. I see how it is. Leave us bored to tears, why don't you..."Valerie huffed.
"Alright...."Sora's mother sighed. "Now come on, the doctors waiting..." "Coming momma!"Sora grabbed Riku by the arm, then Kairi by her arm to drag them off. Valerie sighed, follwing the trio with a small chuckle. "Maybe we'll get to finnaly see if its a boy or a girl before he or she is born."she said. "It'll probably be a girl. Oh, and she is going to be spoiled by Aunty Kairi..."Riku sighed.
Valerie sighed as Jeffrey stopped her. "Alright... But if Eden and Gexln leaves without us I am blaming all of ya'lls!"she added. "Yes, V-chan..."Sora chuckled. Riku just rolled his eyes. "Sora Rikaru Jiyataro!" Sora squeaked at his full name being called, turning to see his mom. "H-Hi momma... I was on my way, I swear!"he said. "Sora... I know you don't want to be left out of the activities, but you have to see the doctor. Gotta make sure the baby is healthy!"Sora's mother scolded. "Sora, why didn't you tell me that...?"Riku gave Sora a small look. "Because...because..."Sora got an idea. "Because I wanted Valerie and the others to see too! I mean, they've grown as attached to the kid as we have. Right guys?"He asked. "uh...right?"Valerie frowned in confusion.
OOC:Is she going to do nothing but complain until Gex comes back to life? BIC: "Sora, Riku! There you are!"Valerie had located Sora and Riku, hands on her hips. "What are you doing here?"Riku asked. "Looking for you... no thanks to my detectives... We gotta get to the gummi ship! You guys have to take your Mark of Mastery exam!"Valerie protested. "How am I supposed to take the exam like this?"Sora gestured to his large belly. "We could stay in Twilight Town until you deliver. Now Come oooon, or Gex and Eden are gonna leave without us!"Valerie said. "No..."Sora frowned. "But guuuuys, We already saved the island and everything. There is nothing to do heeere!"Valerie said. "Yes, but wouldn't you want your child to be born where you grew up?"Sora asked. "Fine, you can stay here. But Riku, you at least gotta cooome!"Valerie whined. Riku shook his head. "I'm staying with Sora."he said. "uuugh! I thought you two were supposed to defend the universe?!"Valerie snapped. "Well the baby comes first right now...."Riku said. "Fine! See if I care. Me, Jeffrey, and Kairi will save the universe with Gexln and Eden."Valerie decided to give up. "Yeah, good luck with that...."Riku smirked. "Oh, we'll be fine. Have fun living the boring life whiloe we're having an adventure!"Valerie went off to the docks to get to the play island before she got left behind by Gexln and Eden. Selphie went to go find Kairi and Jeffrey to tell them what happened, Irvine going back to repairs.
"Woo-hoo! Great! So once we find Sora and Riku the 5 of us will head back to the gummi!"Valerie smiled. ----------------- Sora was actually hiding from having to take his doctor appointments, lying to Riku that his parents said he could help clean the town. "Sora, I don't think this is the safest thing you should be doing so far along..."Riku said. "Rikuuu, I'll be fine! The baby doesn't mind at all."Sora smiled. "You shouldn't be on your feat so much..."Riku said. "yeesh, what are you, a doctor?" "I wish...perhaps then you'd listen to me..." Selphie and Irvine were watching the duo. "Think we should tell Sora's parents?"Irvine asked. "Nah, Sora shouldn't be ratted out like that..."Selphie said.
I'd take a look at my pokebro, then look out to the sunset.... When someone next sees me, me and my pokebro would've died peacefully with smiles on our faces knowing that we had a great journey. But seriously, that song made me go into nostalgia mode so bad.
Valerie looked over to the play island, biting her lip. "Oh....! We'll come back for Eden and Gex later. Ugh, we gotta get Sora and Riku first. Then we can all head to the gummi and let them take their Mark of Mastery exam! So! Who's up for the investigation?"she looked to Kairi and Jeffrey.
"Sora, get up...."Riku groaned. Sora rolled off so Riku could get up, trying to sit up himself. "uh-oh..."with the pregnancy weight Sora couldn't even get in a sitting position. Riku sighed, picking Sora up to help the brunette to his feet. "Sora, what were you thinking? You could've hurt the baby!"Riku said. "I missed you though!"Sora smiled, wrapping his arms around Riku. Riku wanted to protest, but then he saw those pure blue eyes and sighed. "Just...don't do it again..."he said, blushing. Sora smiled, glad to get his time with Riku. Then he remembered what he wanted Riku for. "oh! Oh! Riku! Riku! you gotta come with me!"he started tugging at Rikus arm. "uh...why?"Riku asked. "Just come on!" "B-But Sora!"Riku sighed, going with Sora. "Where are they going...?"Valerie was confused.
"Alright, final stop, mainland!"when they arrived to the shore Valerie didn't even wait until they hit sand, jumping into the shallow water and running. Riku sighed, tying the boat to one of the docks so it didn't drift away by the tide. "Waaaaah! Its so prettyyyy!"Valerie smiled at the sight of the town. "You should've seen it before the attack."Riku said. "Riku!"A voice caught all of their attention. Sora had reached the shore, seeing Riku and the others. "Sora!"Valerie smiled. Riku saw the wide grin on Sora's voice. Uh-oh... "RikuRikuRikuRikuRikuRiku, Rikuuuuu~"Sora tackled the brunette, the pregnancy weight adding to power and sending both of them to the ground. Valerie saw the tackle, giggling.
"Alright, that should be everyone."Riku chuckled, starting to row once everyone was on the boat. "Woo-Hoo!"Valerie cheered. -------------------------- "But mommaaa.... I wanna wait until Riku gets here. Pleeease?"Sora whined. "Alright. But no heavy lifting-" "No overdoing yourself and don't do anything to hurt the baby!" "Yes, Dad..."Sora ran off to the shore to wait for Riku. "Sora, where's the fire?"Selphie was helping a little girl find her parents. "Rikus gonna be coming to shore soon! I can feel it!"Sora smiled. "Sora, don't run! Your parents warned you about that."Irvine was helping to repair a roof. "How the Ifrit can I run like this?"Sora laughed, a hand on his belly. He headed to the beach, body full of excitement.
Riku sighed when the two finnaly came to the docks. "Glad you guys re feeling better. Valerie was getting impatient."he said. "I was not! I was just saying we could come back when they were ready to leave."Valerie said in her defense. "You were not going to leave Jeffrey behind though, were you?" "Are you still going on about that? We only did that to mess with your head." "Riiiight..." ----------- Meanwhile the island residents were doing a pretty good job cleaning the place up. People were sweeping up rubble and trash, giving the deceased a proper burial, rebuilding buildings. "C'mon, don't forget about the water!"In the waters residents were picking up trash on the beach and making sure no animals were hurt with the remaines. Sora huffed, being forbidden to go into the water in his condition. In fact, Sora's parents were making sure he saw a doctor to make sure the child was in good health. Not that Sora minded, but he wanted Riku there too....
"Have those two really been talking all this time?"Valerie asked as she and Riku passed Eden and Gexln. "Yes... I think it's best to leave a boat. They'll head to the mainland when they're ready."at the docks Riku hopped into a boat, taking the oars. Valerie sat down, her mind starting to wander of what they were doing on the mainland. ------------------------- Sora, on the other hand, was very busy. At the main islands residents were clearing up the rubble for people that were still alive and for food that was still good. Houses that were still standing housed refugees, doctors coming from the hospital to tend to the wounded. Sora watched the scenery before him, wondering if the same thing happened when Radiant Garden was attacked so many years ago....
Valerie pulled away just as Riku arrived. "Alright, love birds. Time to get to the docks so we can go to the mainland."He said. "Yes sir..."Valerie tried her best not to laugh.
Oh for the love of cupcakes...Valerie realized Jeffrey was being shy, pushing him into a more passionate than needed kiss. Riku saw this display of affection, rolling his eyes. "Better make sure they don't start going too far..."he started off to the island.
Valerie closed her eyes, trying to stay calm. Ohmygoshohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh....
"what, you're expecting me to do it? Oh come on, man, it's the guy thats gotta show dominance!"Valerie grinned, very close to Jeffrey. Riku was watching the two, suddenly interested.
"Dude, we should play his little mind games. Just to mess around with him. It'll be hilarious!"Valerie chuckled to herself. Riku's gonna see us and be all impressed and we'll try not to laugh our butts off because it was more like a 'play along' kiss....
"Probably yell something like 'kiss heeer' and all that jazz...."Valerie looked over to the docks, seeing the look on Rikus face. "Is he smiling? It's too far away to tell... Oh my gawwd, he better not be thinking what I think he's thinking...I think."she said.
"I can see that..."Valerie sighed. "Psh, look at us. Who knows what Selphie would be thinking if she saw us like this..."she couldn't help but laugh. Riku was looking over to the duo, getting the wrong idea. Psh, figures that those two would go all lovey dovey on eachother. If he kisses her, I wouldn't be suprised....
