I'm looking for a new sig and some shops seem well, too busy or the people vanished so I'm posting this as a general thing. If anyone would like to make me a Sig, I'd be grateful and well, think you are so cool. Username: Repliku (and go ahead and add that to the sig) Color scheme: somewhat dark but however else you feel would look decent. Text: Where will my Heart go? Render: http://ff-rpg.net/images/ReplikuBanner.jpg I made this out of all Repliku pictures so hopefully someone can use something out of it. So, there we go. rawr.
Did anyone else watch this? It's on again at 5pm to show the whole series on Sunday again. I thought it was really good and took aspects of the Wizard of Oz books but placed the series later after all of that. If you haven't seen it this week, I'd recommend it and it's airing on the Sci-Fi channel.
Hi, I reached premium, I think, and am wondering how to change the user title. I followed the directions posted http://www.kh-vids.net/showthread.php?t=26531 there but at the same time, it seems I do not have a spot for the option to change, or I am blind; both of which could be possible. My nick is also not pink so perhaps it takes time for the option to go through, unless the time limit is what I am short on. Not sure at this point. Anywhoo, help? =:)
I thought I'd post the complete guide I wrote up for the Jiminy Journal to help people out and for people to respond to. This way some questions could be answered early if a mod might sticky this, and people could see if this would save them some time. It's very long but it is also covering most of the Jiminy Journal. This all was done on Proud Mode and there are severe spoilers within. Also, these aren't the -only- way to do the tasks, but perhaps the easiest. I'm sure others have completed it and used their own easier methods too.
So, I didn't find another topic that covered this before unless it's from pretty far back. I was figuring it might be some fun to try to figure out Sora, Kairi and Riku's birthdays based on horoscopes and whatever else. Many Final Fantasy games included not just the character's ages, but also their birthdates, which was cool. It's too bad KH didn't. Here's my hypothetical dates: Sora: February - I think he's a dreamer and definitely a Pisces. He's inspirational and chivalrous and imaginative. Kairi: still debating. Riku: August sometime as a Leo. He has a great leadership feel about him and presence and helps motivate others.
Okay, I have to know here...after seeing polls on Roxas vs Sora and also some threads on why people hate Sora etc....why are there no threads about how much Roxas was an annoying emo brat? Am I the only person around that thinks Roxas was selfish? Am I going to get slain for saying so? =:) I felt more sorry for Axel and Demyx and even Xigbar than I did for Roxas when it came to existences expiring. Maybe someone else here sees my reasoning on why Roxas was a slight irritation to me. I don't hate the character, but just don't see why people don't seem to notice how rotten he was at times. Everyone can point out how bad Sora was or Riku was and some people focus on those negatives, but why not Roxas? Here are some things I noticed about the great character Roxas and it made me not really think he was such a wonderful person at all. #1. Roxas is -selfish- Roxas only ever seemed to care about himself through any scene of KH2 he was in. He found it necessary to prove himself, stand up for himself, do everything just to proclaim himself, whether he needed to or not. He left to go find out about why he had the Keyblade because it was about him and when he could get answers, he doesn't think. Everything in his existence seemed to be all about Roxas and he was really arrogant, even when losing. He probably could have convinced Axel to go with him, but instead just departs saying no one will miss him with a depressed, totally self-centered demeanor and doesn't even look at Axel -at all- to see his expression which was so sad. Sure, this changed when he went into the simulation because his memories were wiped and altered by Namine, but it doesn't change the fact he was all about himself throughout everything, and he only toned down because he was given "friends" and a fake world with less aggression. Reason 2: He didn't care about his Friends He really had no reactions about others suffering at all. He also was -so- dumb and yes, he was as dumb as people say Sora is, just not in the same exact way. It takes him hovering in the air and looking down at Sora and the painted glass with his friends in it to see why Sora fights and what's important to him. Roxas could have had friends too. He was a jerk about it all. At least Axel died for someone who would actually -like- him, or was appreciated after he gave his all. Sadly, even his scene with Roxas at the tower seemed about Roxas more than Axel. Reason 3: He didn't deserve the Keyblade even if he was part of Sora He had ties to others and yet refused to talk to someone who could -take- the Keyblade away, just attacked without a care and then tried to say he's so great. Roxas pretty well attacked Riku just as Riku had attacked Sora in KH1, bent on doing whatever it took to get his way. Why didn't he -ask- how Riku just took Oblivion from him after Roxas sent it at him in Strike Raid fashion? Roxas was out to slay Riku while Riku had to turn to Ansem so he would only knock Roxas out and not do any permanent harm. Despite Roxas's ferocity, Riku also was a lot more caring and sympathetic to him, Axel and Namine. He collected things so when Sora and he were together, Roxas wouldn't be forgotten. Some people may point out that Riku was supposed to capture Roxas, but Riku was -not- entirely sure he was for the idea and even tried talking to Roxas and learning about him. Riku consistently did things against DiZ's wishes because of Roxas and Namine. What did Roxas do for anybody? As I said, I don't hate Roxas, but there sure are haters for Sora and Riku out there, who to me did a lot more compassionate and benevolent things than Roxas did. Even if they did mess up some things, mistakes happen. Maybe the KH: Zero game with him and Riku in it will change my mind because there will be more of him featured in it, but really...why do people like him so much? I can't even say he's a -bad boy- because he's not and he's not a -tough kid- either. He's emotionally a wuss and selfish. He can physically kick butt but other than that, he was very empty to me. I really do ask to get some other opinions and not just to do a total rant here so I hope others post and well...maybe I'll change my mind on some things.
Not sure where to post this so I'll go for CoM since that is what it pertains to. I was wondering if anyone was ever going to finish the <subbed> versions of Reverse Rebirth; the remaining missing ones? Some that are not present are found in the unsubbed version. I have a curiosity to understand what is being said in the unsubbed versions and my Japanese is not that good but to pick out pieces right now. Is there any intention of adding to the subbed version?
Hello everyone. I have a very serious matter to post and I hope that others will take it as critical as I do. If it is wrong to post a link to a petition to sign, then of course I will delete this. However, I hope it is not. There is a very serious trial going on in Jena, Louisiana pertaining to 6 kids, 18 and younger who were attending a High School and have been brought up on very harsh charges for the crime they committed. This is a severe issue of racism and I urge you to read the following links, and to sign the petition if you feel it is as appalling as I do. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jena_6 http://www.petitiononline.com/aZ51CqmR/petition.html Yes, the boys were wrong to do what they did, in attacking the person, but at the same time, they certainly do not merit 20 years or more in prison because of it. Something like that is rather unheard of where I am and many people throughout Louisiana are protesting these trials. Racism is a disease that seems strong in Jena and again, I apologize if I should not post this here, but I'm trying to do my part by spreading the word around. If others too can spread this around it would be a great help. The petition needs support from anyone in the U.S. so that these kids get a fair trial.
As the topic says...Bad karma for what? Here's the post the bad karma was linked to. The above is a comment made to me in closing out a thread, offering up that I agree with closing it and well...apparently it merited bad Karma and a response of ... from someone I don't know. Now, this is just an example here to make a point and to wonder if others also get bad karma from people who just seem vindictive. You know, if I said something that was ugly, horrible, rotten, slamming, sure, hit me up for all the bad karma I deserve. I'm not posting this to complain, but instead to discuss what actually the Karma rating means to people, beyond just a way to get to premium status. To me, it has a sort of implication to say that you either contribute or you are just someone that is there to be a troll. Good Karma for me implies I agree with something strongly or the post somehow affected me in a positive way or you were just blown away by the merit of what was said, even if I disagree because it was so thought out. I've never considered giving out bad Karma, but if I was going to do so, it would be for a post where someone is attacking, trolling, or just being outright rambunctious and rude, trying to raise ire. Of course, that sort of person, I would probably just report to a moderator instead, since it takes a lot to get me going, but eh, I see the merit of having bad Karma. If this was posted inappropriately, I apologize now to the admins and moderators but I just could not see not making a comment on this and letting it just ride. If it requires movement or deletion, I will be glad to do so.
After watching the Zeitgeist movie, it inspired me to think up another thing randomly, that is not so different than some of the conspiracy issues pointed out there. Have any of you heard of the Skull and Bones? It is a secret society from Yale University and the members there go on to be nation leaders often. The group even has their own island because they are just 'all that'. I'd like to hear some opinions on this. This not only promotes American leaders, but also some leaders in areas across the pond in European nations too and elsewhere. There isn't much information on them, but what is out there is interesting and real. This is why I had such a crummy time determining if I wanted to vote for either Bush or Kerry because both were 'molded' for the presidency and I'd rather not have someone in that group being the President. Here are some sights to peruse if you want to know: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skull_and_Bones Under "Bonesmen" check out the list. It will surprise you. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/10/02/60minutes/main576332.shtml http://www.skullandcrossbones.org/articles/skullandbones.htm http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/0122-10.htm
Since we are on the Christian debate lately, I thought I'd bring up something that annoys me to no end. It is bad enough to me that some Court houses in the south have the 10 Commandments outside of the buildings, but when someone wants to put them in public schools for kids, that's where I draw the line. The reasons to me are clear, and to a Christian, I would think they would be too, but fundamentalists won't see it that way. I'll explain the point of view below and I welcome opinions on why someone might think either way. The 10 Commandments: Well, I want this in a school with kids of all sorts of cultural diversity! Basically this is saying that you can't believe in anyone else above God. The punishments for it were also quite strict and found in the Bible. This is unjustified and against our very constitution which allows Freedom of Religion. It also encourages a reason for some kids to bully others, mistreat them and low and behold if one was an uber Bible-thumper...it gives permission to kill. This is a good one. So all the people who wear crosses, fishes, have pictures of Jesus or sculptures, paintings of heaven scenarios etc are sinners. So why are true Christians wandering around with this stuff? Also, this was used as an excuse to deal with a golden sculpture of a cow...so apparently having any symbolism of any other religion is also bad. I think this one harms everyone in school and the country, doesn't it? Well, shucky darn, gosh darn it! So no one should ever say anything of the Lord's name in vain or... I don't know about others, but I really find it inappropriate to fill my kid's head with the thoughts of eternal damnation, killing etc all for a slip of the tongue. I'd rather my kid be in school learning the critical thing called 'education' rather than fearing what they hear and getting mad at others who do something like that. Seems such a fine thing for a Christian to remember. Of course again, we aren't all Christian. Some of us don't care about a holy day to a deity we disbelieve in. If Christians want to recognize it, fine. Once again, death is mentioned. Do you know how many kids will fear working on a Sunday because it is supposed to be so important but yet MANY Americans do that and it is required in some jobs? The Bible doesn't match up with what is really demanding from businesses today, but I don't see people being allowed to kill others for this violation. This one looks innocent enough. Of course you want to respect your parents. They brought you to life, take care of you, feed you, clothe you etc. However, what happens if say the parents are abusive and some kid cusses him or her out? What happens if a kid needs to get away? Well, there's that death threat again. I know just off this one I'm probably going to hell because I fought to be free of a very abusive and insane mother. Oh well. Murder in the Bible is considered to be a heinous crime. However, killing in the name of God is not. Any death not condoned by God is murder. The Bible is laced with 'killing' in the name of God. However, Cain murdered his brother Abel. See the difference? Due to the fact the other Commandments seem to say the threat of death often, I don't think I want kids to learn it's okay to kill someone for not believing in God or wearing a cross etc, but it's wrong to kill someone for being a bully, as long as they are Christian. Mixed messages. These are kids. It's fine to say to a kid, you shouldn't cheat on a spouse later on in life when he or she is married, but why are elementary kids caring about this at all? Now say a kid does know a parent or uncle or aunt or older person doing the naughty deed? Egads, killing, yet again! Why are Christian fundies so worried about video games and violent music etc when everything that is said in the very 10 Commandments and throughout the Bible is an excuse to KILL someone? This is a good one to put up. Sure, it's not nice that someone goes around stealing and that happens in school all too often. The punishment for stealing was often losing the offending limb but also... Well, this one isn't so bad since all it's saying is you will never make it into Heaven. Of course again, for those who aren't Christian, why would they care? This implies you should not lie, basically. If asked something, you should be honest. However, this has gone so far to say that if you think a 'false thought' you can condemn yourself to Hell. All in all, to tell the truth is a great thing but again, punishments for it were death, especially under oath. Mainly though it was this: Which is found in Deuteronomy as well as Exodus. So what it's saying is that you should not set up someone for a fall and lie to get that person in trouble. It's not telling someone he or she can't lie about other stuff. Just don't screw someone else over with a lie and false story. I place both of these together since in some Christian groups they are separated and in others, together. Now, why does a kid care about someone's wife? Kids are going to school to learn. Most aren't thinking about being envious over someone else's wife. They'd rather if they are of age, look at the girls around them. Seems fine that adults out of school can look at these nubile precious kids and yet there has to be protection for some man's wife and property. This is the whole meaning of what was implied here. You are not supposed to desire that which another man has. This is somewhat outdated anymore as most of the time we can just go get something at the store a friend might have that we want, such as a video game etc. However, apparently you shouldn't even be thinking that. In the end though, this one is not so bad either. However, the punishment for jealousy/envy and a desire for something someone else owns was death too. Lastly, some will debate some of these I have placed in here are from the Old Testament, though I posted a few New Testament ones too. However, here's what Jesus had to say on the 10 Commandments. No one to me deserves the right to say who has a choice to live or die unless that person is an actual harm to others as in killing someone else or raping. Rapists aren't even put on death row. There's my argument why I think the 10 Commandments should NEVER be posted in public schools. I can't complain about Christian schools, because the schools are focused on Christians teaching Christians. It's not my place to make such a judgment call. However, public schools are for anyone to go to and with that in mind, these Commandments have no place on walls. I had an idea sometime ago that perhaps if Christians wanted to do that so badly, why don't they offer up to also post other religious beliefs like the Buddhist 8-Fold Path or the Hindu Dharma but of course, this idea was always shut down. The reason why is clear, because nothing else is going to stand up to the 10 Commandments, which tells people to follow them or you will die. Others just don't cut it with all that said. My apologies for the long post but eh, I was long winded and wanted to get the thoughts out there as I saw them.
I have a slight gripe with Square-Enix. Why is there no Riku action figure but they went all out to give all of the forms Sora has, put Roxas as an action figure with Kairi and Axel....it just seems really wrong that Riku seems to get the shaft. Riku should have at least one KH2 action figure, though he could technically have 3 since he was himself with the blindfold, himself in his other attire, and then Xehanort's Heartless in the Org outfit. This is becoming more disturbing as I continue to watch more figures being named and he is not on them. It's kind of silly to me when the story is supposed to be about the trinity of Sora, Riku and Kairi and yet he is excluded. Is anyone else getting annoyed by this?
