I already can tell that the staff here are much kinder in general than KHInsider. I'll try to be a good member here so don't worry about problems from me.
Kingdom Hearts II was just not done as well and didn't give me as much excitement as the other two games plus it was ridden with yaoi fanservice as well as regular fanservice. The Organization was already declared the main antagonists so early into the game that I just stopped playing it and return to Re:CoM. It did not have a dark storyline like CoM nor KH. II followed too much of the movie plots and did not have anything to do with the Org. until the middle of the game. Kingdom Hearts I and CoM come very close for me. KH had the best original story out of the series while CoM was the most exciting. I still pick the first Kingdom Hearts.
Kairi is an alright character although I felt that she had the less character development out of all the little but large potential of the time she had as an active role in the KH series. SoKai is meant to be the main heterosexual ship of the series from what I see. I'm from KHInsider, infamous for its hatred of Kairi although it is more about her character than just blind hatred. I'm more of a SoNami fan because it is sort of seen throughout in CoM and to a lesser degree in KHII.
Wasn't KH1 Sephiroth considered one of the most difficult bosses in video game history? Someone correct me?
Originally Riku was made to be the protagonist of Kingdom Hearts. Many people complained about it thus SE gave the fanboys and fangirls Reverse/Rebirth in CoM/Re:CoM although that got half-assed compared to Sora's half of the game. It would not be too hard to change. Heartless could used as Summons while Maleficent and her allies could be used as battle partners while you fight the local good guys.
As much as I would had initially loved the idea of a Shadow Sora much like Sephiroth is to Cloud or Dark Samus to Samus in Metroid Prime, I would not had like it much. Sora isn't really the guy who would turn to the darkness. He's much too nice for his own good. "You're not ready for Soul Eater" -quotes Riku in KHII to Sora. Foreshadowing much?
I was pretty happy that I defeat Sephiroth in KH1 although I didn't like Lance Bass dubbing him in battle. It made up for the fact that I never fought him in FF7 (but in Crisis Core) I did. Was it worth it? Oh hell yes.
