I have read the manga and the books and well the manga is absolutely awesome. You it is really great you gotta read it.

My favorite scene is from Rurouni Kenshin OVA Reflection when Spoiler Kenshin dies it was my best scene ever. BTW I know it is not Canon, but it is still one of the best scenes. "Would you say, I became a Hero?"-FFVII Crisis Core(Zack)

I just finished the book, AND IT WAS AMAZING. I totally loved the book and hope that I am not the only one who has read it.
