That doesn't solve the problem : if the higher Nobody retained his mind, how can a third type of being be formed from his mind ? I don't think EaXsHmI's theory works.
Yes...well when it comes to complex plots, I don't believe in coincidences.
That doesn't explain why Larry looks so much like Xehanort. And I'll say it right now, the idea of a twin brother doesn't seem very satisfactory to me.
I have a question ; if a Nobody is only an empty shell, a body without a heart or a mind, how do you explain that : -it can think and plan -stronger Nobodies have a personality -stronger Nobodies remember their past lives (to me memories are part of the mind) : Xemnas remembers Ansem the Wise and his time as his apprentice, Xigbar remembers the Keyblade War, Saïx says Nobodies remember what it was like to have a heart...
Xehanort probably took his former master's name because he wanted to prove he had surpassed him (Xemnas boasts about how jealous Ansem is of his genius), and to fully obliterate him (after all, he did send him to a dimension of nothingness). You know, that's the whole logic of the student surpassing the teacher, and when said student is a psychotic and egomaniac bad guy, well you get unusual and crazy things, such as taking another's name just to prove you're better than him. It may also be because his name (Xehanort) reminded him too much of his unknown past, lack of memories and background.
That is a good question : why did Larry mistake Sora for Xehanort ? And what sense can you make out of this gibberish he talks to Sora ?
In my opinion, Xehanort only lost his memories of the time before he was found by Ansem. The memories Xemnas is trying to retrieve are thos of his past, which is linked to the knights and the keyblade war. I don't think he was named Xehanort before he lost his memories : that would explain he is a different character than the one from the secret ending. In a way, since he begins a new life, he is a new man, another man. The no heart aspect is linked to his unusual nature (Ansem said his talent was inhuman).
I really doubt Ansem the Wise would have created an assistant (that just doesn't seem right by him ; creating life is a very difficult process, and it was only after he met Xehanort that he started experimenting on the heart). Second, Xehanort couldn't have lost his memories twice : Xemnas has Xehanort's mind and his memories, and he clearly remembers his time as Ansem's apprentice.
I didn't read it in an official SE statement about the Organization : it just seems logical. In mathematics, x is the letter you use for an unknown number (in equations for example), and things like "Mr. X" for a guy who wants to stay anonymous is very common, I think.
The Organization used an X because it is the letter traditionnally used for something that is unknown, nonexistent or forbidden. Their names are anagrams of their original names with an x added, to show they do not truly exist.
Watch the subbed videos of KH2 Final Mix, you'll see the basis.
Well, I think it should be made perfectly wether it's "soul" or "mind". To me, A Nobody is a body and a mind : it has the ability to think, it has memories of its past existence, but it does not feel anything and won't have be treated to an afterlife, since it doesn't have a heart. The heart is the origin of emotions, and it is the part of the being that joins Kingdom Hearts after the body dies and the mind vanishes. In a way, the heart is the soul and is different from the mind. Strong Nobodies have a personality, however, because they had strong hearts before they became Nobodies : the memory of their past feelings is strong enough for them to act like they have a heart, in order to cope with their lack of emotion (of which they are aware). Rather than being dull, mechanichally thinking and acting creatures, they give themselves personality traits, affinities for an element, hobbies...They build a personality for themselves, so as to have something like a heart. Apparently, Demyx really wanted to believe he had a heart, because the absence of it and the feeling of void were painful to him : that is why he snapped and became agressive when Sora & co. denied him a heart. In a way, some Nobodies are convincing themselves they have a heart, with an indeniable efficience : when Demyx said "Silence, traitor", he seems like a man that has been wounded emotionally and that reacts with agression, but with a cold tone in his voice that was more Nobody-like. If a Heartless is a heart filled with darkness, and a Nobody the body and mind that were cast away, there's nothing left to form a third being. Except maybe the memories of amnesiac Nobodies...
Ok...that's interesting. But then, how do you explain the resemblance between Ven (shorty) and Sora ?
Hey, I was not the one to come up with "Larry" in the first place ; I suppose it was chosen because it reminiscent of Baldy (which just as lame). Btw, it's François, not Fransoi. I for one agree with NN006W's theory about Baldy taking Larry's body. I have tried and developed a similar theory in my thread (http://www.kh-vids.net/showthread.php?t=9945). The main idea is that Xehanort is Larry's body, Baldy's heart and Baldy's mind, but without any memories.
http://www.kh-vids.net/showthread.php?t=9945 It's very long, but that's because it's very developed.
Well come on, there is what ? 5 years of difference between the two ? 10 at the very most ? That's not enough for her to be his mother. About this Secret Report...yes that gives a lot of doors to open...so the heart of a world is formed with all life on it. What about Kingdom Hearts ? It probably means it's the heart of all worlds and thus of all life. This is where a heart goes when it's freed from its body ; but when a human's heart is freed, does it go to Kingdom Hearts or to the heart of the world he is in ? Was the Organization's Kingdom Hearts a completely artificial one ? Then what of the true Kingdom Hearts ? Where is it, how is it formed, when does a heart join it ? Oh...my brain hurts...
And then Baldy looks down on the knights and says in an ominous voice..."It's mine...the power is mine...the power of...Kingdom Cheese ! (Insert diabolical laughter)".
About the family thing : Aqua looks too young to be Ven's mother. Yeah I knew it was Baldy's keyblade right away : you can briefly see it converting into energy. As for the nature of that moon...I don't know : it confuses me, because its aspect screams Kingdom Hearts (like the one in TWTNW), but Nomura said it wasn't. And I can't think of any clues about it, except that it takes the sacrifice of a keyblade to reveal it (maybe's it's because it's difficult to unlock, or maybe that's just Baldy's way of opening doors...). I don't know...
Still talking about darkness. The moon is obviously summoned by Baldy, and through a keyblade's power, converted into pure energy : this moon is something only a keyblade can reveal, so it is either a thing that was locked away, or the lock to Kingdom Hearts.
If you want my complete, complex and detailed opinion on the question, see my thread on the Awakening. Long story made short, I believe Larry, Ven and Aqua were indeed good guys (I don't know about the Chasers in general), but that Larry had a link with darkness, a bit like Riku (after all, he and Xehanort are often compared) ; it probably has a link with that heart-moon Baldy summoned (Nomura said it was NOT Kingdom Hearts, right ?), but I believe it is a weapon of last resort : this is a power Larry has access to, but that is dangerous to him. If he uses too much of it (and to take down Baldy it's gonna take a lot), he may become overwhelmed and corrupted by it.
