Very unlikely. This really isn't the kind of universe where you'd get a plot twist with "the good guys are actually bad guys" : it's a fairey tale setting, and like all fairy tale settings it's mostly manichean (good and evil are clearly defined opposites). Besides, I think DiZ was a good example of ruthless good guy, so hellbent on revenge he used evil methods.

KH1 was mainly an initiation story, with Sora progressively becoming a hero. But of course it had all the themes that are common to the KH games, namely the importance of the heart, of emotions, the fight between light and darkness. KH1 alos had a "fairy tale" feel to it, which fitted the themes quite well.

CoM was of course about memories, while Reverse/Rebirth was about finding and accepting yourself.

KH2 had a major theme about existence and melancholy, because of the nature of the Nobodies.

I think the next game, the one about Xehanort's memories, will be mainly about fate : why and how did it all begin, the origin of the keyblades (which are a bit like fate, choosing people and giving them an extraordinary destiny) and probably the links and similarities between past and future.

The idea that Sora was still a Heartless until he merged back with Roxas is impossible : a Heartless is a heart filled with so much negative feelings it loses itself in the darkness. And I don't think Sora qualifies as a heart filled with negative emotions : he can't have been a Heartless, his heart contained little to no darkness.

However, it is possible his heart created a new body and a new mind for him, while the originals remained as Roxas. In the same way, Xehanort may have kept his human form and intellect because he became a Heartless willingly. He was not overwhelmed and dominated by the darkness, he used them. Xehanort was so special and maybe so powerful he created an unusual Nobody AND an unusual Heartless.

So you're saying that Sora lacked a body and a mind, but could still move, act physically and think (I know he's not very smart, but that's pretty extreme) ? How could his heart, which is only supposed to harness emotions, allow him intellectual and physical action ? Nobodies lack a heart, so they can't feel anything : they partially replace emotions with memories of emotions or a personality their mind creates. Someone lacking a mind and a body couldn't move around and think.

If I follow your logic, then Roxas isn't a Nobody either, since Sora regained his body. The Secret Reports say that if a Heartless escapes the darkness, the heart that has been freed returns to its homeworld and waits for its body and mind to return. But when Sora's heart was freed, he immediately regained his body and mind, even though Roxas still "existed" on his own.

You're right to point this out, it is an intriguing fact, but it remains a mystery. Naminé's best considered a special Nobody, since she has many of their characteristics.

Maybe he confirmed it in the Secret Report, but I thought that was clearly stated in the KH1 : Riku was originally meant to use the keyblade from the realm of light, how else could he have taken it from Sora ?

For the scene with Roxas and Xemnas, Roxas' line was taken from another scene in the game (probably when he meets Naminé, he introduces himself), and Xemnas' line is made up : you can hear it, it sounds too weird to be an actual voice-recording of that line.

I'd like to see Vincent, of course (I was always surprised not to see him, he would really have fitted into KH2, with the melancholic feel Nobodies have to them), and Reno as well. With the Other Report, we know it's possible Axel has returned to his original self, which could be Reno. How fun would that be ?

As to why Mickey didn't get his at the same time as Riku, I think DiZ provides us the answer in the basement one video : he says "I'll have to do sth special for those ears", or something like that. I guess even with all his wisdom, Ansem the Wise could not include Mickey's extravagant ears into his master fashion plan...

If the original person's heart was freed from darkness, the heart, body and mind will reunite to become a complete being again. If the heart is still trapped in the darkness, a Heartless, then the body and mind fade away into nothingness, never to return.

If Axel's heart has been freed from darkness, then he still exists in his original form and may return, especially since that would imply he's kept his memories of his time as a Nobody. Xemnas also mentioned that Axel may have "awakened" because of his contact with Sora's heart. It could mean he didn't go back to his heart, but rather changed to another, still unknown form.

Well, sorry, but I'm afraid you're gonna have to get used to it : this guy looks a lot like Xehanort, and one of the (if not THE) taglines of the upcoming game is "Memory of Xehanort".

Well, in all honesty I don't think Ven looks that much like Roxas. I mean yes, they do like alike, but not much more than Aqua and Kairi. There's probably more to it than fate repeating itself, but I can't see anything at this point.

The knights share their keyblade master status and spells with the KH main characters. I think that they are, in a way, their predecessors as heroes, and that Kairi, Sora and Riku will grow into the same role. In fact I believe the keyblade war will repeat itself, and that Sunset Horizons happens in the future (the three knights from Sunset Horizons being Sora, Riku and Kairi).

Yes he was hell bent on revenge to the point of becoming ruthless ; but what he wanted revenge for was Xehanort's betrayal. In KH2 we see Ansem the Wise before and after Xehanort's betrayal : he hasn't changed at all, except for those yellow eyes, which probably come from excessive use of the corridors of darkness. When would you set his time as Baldy ?

As for Ksemanr's theory, it is indeed a good one. I especially agree with "Birth by Sleep" being a future keyblade master's trials on the Station of Serenity. And yes, Roxas was already a keyblade master, but had to do it again since he forgot about it.

To me, Larry (or Gay as you call him) looks more like a younger Xehanort than like an older Sora. But it's true there could also be a similarity between him and Sora (after all, it looks like he's the hero).

"Memory of Xehanort" most probably refers to the memories he lost before ending up in Radiant Garden, memories of the keyblade war.

I believe that Sunset Horizons (the secret ending of KH2) happens in the future, whereas Fate of the Unknown (the secret ending of KH2FM) happens in the past. Why such a difference ? Because in the first, they pick up Riku's, Sora's and Mickey's keyblades, and in the second there is not a trace of those keyblades. For more developments, see my topic (http://www.kh-vids.net/showthread.php?t=9945), section "Tales of Future Past".

When and where did Nomura make such a statement ? And Mickey could perfectly have obtained the keyblade before the first game : he already had a keyblade when he visited Ansem the Wise in Radiant Garden, before Xehanort became a Heartless.

This theory about "Birth by Sleep" is really interesting, and it's very probable those two rooms have sth to do with memories. But why would Aqua and Ven be locked in them ? Or is the image of Aqua's armor just an illusion created by the room, a representation from Xemnas' memories ?

I don't agree with Ansem the Wise being Baldy : the character of Ansem the Wise was fully developed in KH2, and he was shown as a good man who let revenge eat away at his heart. I really don't think he would be this mad scientist type of guy who would plot for decades and play with his apprentice's memories. He said to Xemnas that their researches were meaningless in the end ; his eyes only became yellow after he was exiled by Xehanort ; and KH isn't really the kind of complex story with plot twists and conspiracies all over the place.

About Saïx's and Xigbar's eyes ; they are a consequence of their use of darkness : Xemnas, Xehanort's Heartless, Ansem the Wise and probably Riku (that's why he wore the blindfold) have these same eyes. Their origin is the darkness tainting the heart (notably through use of the corridors off darkness, that's what happened to Ansem).

It's true Roxas' and Riku's outfits have some similarities : the jacket, the long pants partially covering the shoes, the wristband. But I doubt it is really important.

Very good take on the reason for Mickey's presence indeed. A few loops, however :
-Nomura said explicitly that this heart-shaped moon wasn't Kingdom Hearts.
-if Mickey obtained the Dark Realm Keyblade only after Fate of the Unknown, why does he have the Star Seeker ? Which keyblade is that ?

The next game will not be called Kingdom Hearts 3, Nomura stated it, but it will be part of the series and will take place in the same universe. Think of it more like a spinoff rather than a sequel, since it will probably not feature Sora as a main character, and the game will not follow his adventures.

That seems a bit far-fetched, wouldn't you say (it's not even the same arm) ? If you had an actual theory about the reason for this connection, I would consider it.

The keyblade abandoned Riku because his heart was becoming weak : the keyblade is a mystical weapon and its power is linked to its master's heart. And darkness is dangerous to the heart because it eats away at it, it overwhelms it and enslaves it : negative emotions as anger and hatred are powerful, they give strength to the heart, but in the end, if not kept in check, they will devour it. The keyblade sensed Riku's heart was engulfed by the darkness and it chose Sora as its new master, since his heart had a potential just as great, and because it found its strength in light, a safer power.

Nope, Nobodies can think an plan because they have a mind, which is the origin of reflexion and most likely memories in KH. This game doesn't really fonction through anatomical principles. A complete being is a body, a heart and a mind. I don't think there is a soul in KH, because the soul is a vague term that comprises self-awareness, morality, consciousness, reflexion, emotions and all spiritual aspects. Emotions, morality and the spiritual aspect are already featured by the heart.
