Wow, Shingo, That is a pretty sound theory, I like it. but what makes you say that Aqua is the voice Sora heard. It could be, since we never actualy hear it. Then that would mean she is helping Sora because of his connection to Ven, since she cares for him. I think the reason Riku doesn't get the keyblade is because he starts to embrace the darkness. The kingdom key either is a keyblade only "good" people can use, or, by starting to embrace the darkness, his heart was neather very good, nor very evil. It wasn't strong in either direction, so the keyblade went to Sora, since his heart was stronger.
You're right. There is a reason why he looks like Xehanort, there's a reason why Baldy's clothes are the same as Xehanort's heartless, and there's a reason why Ven looks like Roxas. It is impossible to know for sure why, all we can do is keep on coming up with theories.
The problem with this theory is that a 'soul' is not part of the kingdom hearts Anatamy of a person. In the game, people are made of three things: A body, a mind, and a heart. I guess I makes scence if you say 'heart' instead of 'soul.' Also, "Larry and Baldy rhymes???" Oh come on, these are two made up names and they only rhyme because they end in 'y.' Well this does explain how Xehanort's hearless is able to think and plan, but Kanji is right, it doesn't explain why they look so similar. Ya, About the twin brother thing, they just used that for Bash in FF12, and it would be kinda dumb if they reused it so quickly. Somehow, the twin brother thing worked really well in ff12, probably the way it was presented or something.
Hey, you don't have to delete anything. Although It has been proven wrong, it was still a good theory, and it made people think. With all the speculating people did, we now understand a new area of the series better. It's a good thing to refference, and shouldn't be deleted.
Btw, if you don't think he lost his memory a second time, how can you explain why his name is an anagram for Ansem with and X? Here is the first part again “Aqua… Ven… Keyblade… who are you? I can feel it… we have met before… it was when… No… it isn’t you… It isn’t you that I have chosen… Why is it not him… Xe… ha… nort… is that you? Xeha… nort… Xehanort!" Obviously, we have the names Aqua and Ven that pop out, but the rest is still vauge. Something I notice though is that although most people seem to think that Xehanort is the one he chose, but it's not. He is saying, we have met before. No wait you're not the one I choose, why not? (and after he relises its not him, he makes another guess) Xehanort? is that you? It seems to me that at first he mistook Sora for Ven, the Roxas looking one. Although I don't think they are all that similar, other people in the game seem to mix them up. It seems, Since he hates Xehanort, that he attacks Sora, when he thought he was Xehanort for whatever reason. He relises he isn't after, though. I am very confedent that the fight with him is in the past. Is it true that the secred Videos were said to take place in the past and the future. I guess that could imply that the story of kingdom hearts itself takes place in the future, and the videos take place in the past compaired to the future. just a thought
Hmm, Your right, I guess that he could have had an assitant named Xehanort, which he didn't create, though I can't explain why he was called that. Although he does remember his time as Ansem's apprentice, it doesn't mean he couldn't have lost his memory. It seems whatever he is doing in the room of sleep is helping him get his memory back, since he is able to remember his "Old friend" the knight, who he knew before his memory was lost the first time. Also, he mentions the keyblade, something he would no nothing about after his memory was lost the first time. Another explanation is that he can only remember stuff well when he looks at something material that remind him of it. I supose that the scene you are thinking of is the one from Fm+ where he remembers his conversation with Ansem about stoping the exparements while walking down to the room of sleep. He starts remembering after he sees all the equipment used for the expairements. Also, it seems like he can only remember Aqua after seeing her armour. If this is so, then every time he would go down there, it would be like a visit to an old friend, even if the armour is empty.
I have posted my responce there. Anyways, I have a theory too, and I would like to know what you guys think of it. Part of the theory is that The tall, dark haired knight (Larry) is Xehanort. Since alot of people don't agree, I will briefly try to prove it. First of all, if you compare pictures of the knight and Xehanort (not Xehanort's heartless) similarities become very evident. They have the same unique chin that points up slightly, same eyebrows, and a similar hair style. It is (as we all know) possible to change one's hairstyle over time. One big argument is that there hair colour isn't even the same, and he is not old. First of all, he could be old. We don't how long he was with Ansem the Wise. Secondly, severe trauma can cause hair to white prematurely, and also memory loss, for that matter. There are alot of things indicating that he has something to do with the keyblade wars. Firstly, during Xigbar and Zexion's conversation in Fm+, Xigbar states that there is a direct connection between the end of the keyblade wars. and a memoriless man being found by Ansem the Wise. Xemnas makes several comments as if he knew stuff about the keyblade. An example would be, "Ah, The keyblade, such a marvelous weapon. If only it were in more...capable hands.(cue evil laughter)" He called the amour (which belonged to aqua) his "old friend" meaning he (Well, his other) knew her personally. Then there is The enigmatic solder as a secret boss in Fm+. The amour looks similar to Larry's, (the only differences, pointed out by Boywithhair on the Playstation.com boards, are probably due to the fact that one is in Cg, while the other isn't) but many people don't think Larry and Xehanort could be the same person because of the things he says: “Aqua… Ven… Keyblade… who are you? I can feel it… we have met before… it was when… No… it isn’t you… It isn’t you that I have chosen… Why is it not him… Xe… ha… nort… is that you? Xeha… nort… Xehanort!" When you come back for a rematch, he says how much he hates Xehanort. However, that is not necessarily true. I believe that Sora fights Larry is in the past, the distant past, even. I think this because the way you get to the boss is through a big swirling vortex that could potentially be a time warp. Additionally, since it is in Mickey's basement, we can assume that it way used by him to go back in time to witness the fight, possibly as instucted by Yen Sid while he was still his apprentice (explains the Star Seeker keyblade(Sora was given the star seeker by Yen Sid, so it looks like he gave it to Mickey by him too, during his training)) It is not so hard to think that Mickey has a portal to the past in his basement, since he has that door that leads to that black and white past world. So, based on all of that, I theorize this: Originally, Larry was not Xehanort. He could have been called Larry, for all we know. In fact he hated someone else named Xehanort, possibly baldy. This Xehanort was originally created by Ansem the wise to be his lab partner/ assistant. Since he was created, it explains why the name without the X is an anagram for "no heart." Eventually, he leaves to go find Kingdom Hearts or whatever, and Larry and the Chasers need to stop him for whatever reason. This would explain Larry's hatred toward "Xehanort." Due to a traumatic event, possibly what comes after in the video, he loses his memory and his hair turns white prematurely. He is then found by Ansem the Wise, who does one of two things: He mistakes him for the original Xehanort(It is possible that baldy wasn't bald when he left) and tells him that’s who he is Or he missed having a companion, since his other apprentices came after Xehanort, and named him after Xehanort. It is ironic that he should be named after the one he hated so much, but this can signify a number of things. Although Xehanort without the 'x' is an anagram for 'no heart,' it is also an anagram of 'another,' showing that there was one before him.(also, Xemnas' computer password at the beginning of the amour scene was 'another') Since he eventually becomes a heartless, he 'lives up to his name.' It can be said that he becomes 'another' 'no heart,' explaining the significance of their similar clothes. Anyways, they work together for a number of years, ect,ect... After Xehanort gets rid of Ansem the Wise, he has memory loss again for some reason. He would have looked around the office, seen things signed "Ansem," seen he was in charge, and pieced together (incorrectly) that he was Ansem. This explains what he is 'pretending' to be Ansem and why Xemnas without the X is an anagram of Ansem and not Xehanort, since he truly believed that’s who he was. So, what do you guy think? I am eagar to see your comments.
Hmm, those are some good, well suported ideas, but I don't think they are related. The reason Xemnas says it like looking in a mirror is because Riku looked like Xehanort's heartless at this point. There is a scean in Fm+, the one were Roxas and Riku are fighting, where Riku gives in to Xehanorts heartless then looks like him(i figured it happened over time, not all at once). As was said before, he smells like the superior since his heartless is currently in Riku's body. As for the bred in his bones thing, i think it refers to Xehanort's heartless doing evil things from inside his body. If they were tring to imply relation, it would sound more like "his bones were bred by evil" or something. Regarding the similarities to the Xemnas/Sora and Riku/Roxas battles,I can explain them. Firstly, Riku was having trouble in that fight, as shown by his giving in to Xehanort's heartless. It doesn't make scence for him to fight normaly, then fully give in. This was actualy his second time fightly Roxas (as stated by the second Ansem Reports). He would have realized he would have trouble since he lost the first time, and dicided to draw on the power of darkness, yet not give in to, to power of darkness. Since he was drawing on Xehanort's heartless, It makes scence that his fightling style would be similar to Xehanort's nobody. Also, Roxas and Sora have similar fighting styles for obvious reasons. So Essentially, it is the same battle with the "same people" in the same place. I think that is the point the creaters of the game were trying to get arcross. This is possibly a way to try to get across the connections between the characters to new players. Sorry to shoot down your theory like that... Although we do know nothing of there parents, I don't think think the new games will focus on them. For some reason, I don't really like the direction of, "Hey LOOK! those guys in amour look kinda like Sora, Kairi, and Roxas. They must be their parents, although there are three of them." I must say though, I liked your parent theory the best.
He only did it because some of the things you said were wrong. The names he gives are the offical ones. Awsome job, Kanji. That is alot of good work. The awakening theory explains alot. There is one thing I would like to comment on, though. I like the fusion theory, because I think Larry looks alot like Xehanort, and although he isn't old he could have had premature white hair growth due to trauma. The second one makes the most scence, but it would work even if he didn't lose his memory. Larry's body, Baldy's mind, and Baldy's heart wind up in Radiant Garden with Ansem the wise. He may have no memories of Larry, but he would still have his own. He would reasise that the expariements Ansem the Wise is doing are the key for him to get out of this mess, so he pretents he has no memory. After getting rid of Ansem the wise, he actually loses his mind for some reason, sees a bunch of reports signed "Ansem," sees he is in charge, and assumes he is Ansem. This explains why he "pretended" to be Ansem, and why Xemnas without the X is Ansem(with the X is "mansex"???) and not Xehanort or Baldy(Xyblad???), because he truely thought he was Ansem.
