This is in regards to what White_Rook posed. Hmm, some good work, but I must say I do not agree. First of all, I am pretty sure it is in the past, as I stated in section 3B of my thread. (http://www.kh-vids.net/showthread.php?t=12395) If it's in the past, his memory couldn't have become it's own being since he hasn't become a heartless/ nobody yet. Also, memory can only form a being only in certain circumstances (I.E., possibly Naminé) In this case, I don't think that happened. Although he did lose his memory, Xemnas is able to recall things from Xehanorts past using the room of sleep. If his memory was its own being, then Xemnas wouldn't have been able to remember anything at all. I don't agree with what you're saying about Ven being Roxas. Although Nomura was indirect by saying Roxas was someone we haven't met before, that more proves that it could be Xehanort before he lost his memory, a nobody in their human form, etc. Since what you're saying is that it's Roxas before the Organization, he would be a nobody still, and therefore, be the same character. I'm not sure why you're saying that Ven is inclined to darkness. The keyblade he picks up is "the way to the dawn" signifying he was evil, but then became good. Also, how can you say that Ven is Roxas, and then say his somebody was evil at the time? We can see that Sora is currently on the path of light.
Although nobodies technically don't have feelings, they can form feelings from memory. Basically, the can still think, and if someone insults them, they know to be offended ect. This becomes a sub-conscious activity. Although they 'can't feel,' they do have 'feelings,' just formed from memories. Therefore, memory becomes essential to nobodies. Roxas is different though. You are right, it does seem like he can feel. This is because Sora, his other is still around. he still has a connection to Sora's heart, and therefore, it is like he has a heart. Xemnas suggests that if a nobody(Axel) gets close to one with a heart, they have a heart too. (this is in a new seen from FM+) This makes sense since he cries at the end of another new since. It all ties in with the theme: "If you make a good friend, then it is like your hearts become one." The nobody becomes part of the 'collective heart' and can therefore have a heart.
Ok, to start off, I will say that a lot of what you say makes sense, but I will point out a few things. I agree with most of what you're saying about Naminé, she is probably a piece of Kairi's heart, but she can't be her memories of Sora. She remembered him for the remainder of the game, everyone else forgot him too, and she remembered him before she fused with Naminé again. The possession theories do make sense, but the specifics are always hard to pin down. Personally, I like to not use the possession theory since they can be so inaccurate. I think the clothes can symbolize the connection between the two named Xehanort. As for the Keyblades, I've talked about that with people before. We decided, as Kanji said above, that you need a heart to wield a keyblade. Roxas' other is still alive and technacly still has a heart. Also, Nomura said in Secret Report XIII that Xemnas is the reason Roxas and Sora can wield two keyblades. I think Xemnas, unable to wield the keyblade, gave Roxas his power to wield the keyblade. Since Sora and Roxas are connected, Sora can also wield two keyblades. The two kingdom hearts thing always confused me. One thing I'd like to add is that In secret report XIII, Nomura says that if a nobody is killed before its heart is freed from the heartless, the nobody is plunged into darkness. But he didn't say what happens to a heart if it is freed after its nobody has already been slain. Those hearts could be possibly the ones that weave together to form Xemnas' Kingdom hearts
Forward: This theory was developed through theorizing with others for about a month. I’m sorry it is so long. I had to make sure I covered everything and gave sufficient proof. I give shout outs to anyone I theorized with, since you have all helped me develop this theory. I have split it up into 3 main parts and those parts into sub-parts for an easier read. Please comment to help develop this theory even more! I would actually like you to be as critical as possible. Table of Contents: (use Ctrl F to find certain parts) 1. About Xehanort 1 a) The Es is Xehanort. 1 b) Xehanort doesn’t have to hate himself 1 c) Xehanort’s “Heartless†2. Birth by Sleep 2 a) Intro 2 b) Room of Sleep 2 c) The room of Awakening 3. Worlds and Time 3 a) Memory of a nobody 3 b) Worlds are like people 3 c) Time: the past. 4. References 1. About Xehanort 1 a) The Es is Xehanort. This theory consists of the tall, dark haired knight (Larry) being Xehanort. Since a lot of people don't agree, I will briefly try to prove it. First of all, if you compare pictures of the knight and Xehanort (not Xehanort's heartless) similarities become very evident. They have the same unique chin that points up slightly, same eyebrows, and a similar hair style. It is (as we all know) possible to change one's hairstyle over time, which could account for the small differences. Although it was announced that the knights are all-new characters, it could still be Xehanort. His persona from before he lost his memory could be considered a 'different character.' That’s how Nomura likes to mess with our heads. One big argument is that there hair color isn't even the same, and he is not old. First of all, he could be old. We don't how long he was with Ansem the Wise. Secondly, severe trauma can cause hair to white prematurely, and also memory loss, for that matter. There are a lot of things indicating that he has something to do with the keyblade wars. Firstly, during Xigbar and Zexion's conversation in Fm+, Xigbar states that there is a direct connection between the end of the keyblade war and a memoriless man being found by Ansem the Wise. Xemnas makes several comments as if he knew stuff about the keyblade. An example would be, "Ah, The keyblade, such a marvelous weapon. If only it were in more...capable hands. (Cue evil laughter)" He called the armor (which belonged to aqua) his "old friend" meaning he (well, Xehanort) knew her personally. And finally, his eyes turn orange at the end of the video, signifying that he gave into the darkness. Orange eyes are the result of using the darkness too much, although it doesn’t affect those without hearts. Ansem the Wise had blue eyes, but then after he uses the dark portals too much, his eyes turned orange. A lot of the members of Organization XIII have orange eyes, but that’s because their others flaunted the darkness before they became heartless. Since the nobodies have their other’s former bodies, they have their eyes. As suggested by Kanji from the kh-vids.net forums, Riku wore a blindfold for a while, probably to hide his orange eyes. Mickey said he wore the blindfold because, "His eyes couldn't lie." This means that by looking into Riku's eyes, you can see he has been playing around with the darkness. We also see a color change in the ES, proving that there are circumstances were one's eyes change color. The reason I call them Orange eyes, is because they can vary from a dim orange (yellow) to a deep orange (goldish-colour), depending on how much one has used the darkness. The facial features are too similar to ignore, especially since he gets the orange eyes at the end of the video. 1 b) Xehanort doesn’t have to hate himself Then there is the enigmatic solder as a secret boss in Fm+. The armor looks similar to Larry's, (the only differences, pointed out by Boywithhair on the Playstation.com boards, are probably due to the fact that one is in Cg, while the other isn't) but many people don't think Larry and Xehanort could be the same person because of the things he says: “Aqua… Ven… Keyblade… who are you? I can feel it… we have met before… it was when… No… it isn’t you… It isn’t you that I have chosen… Why is it not him… Xe… ha… nort… is that you? Xeha… nort… Xehanort!" When you come back for a rematch, he says how much he hates Xehanort. However, that is not necessarily true. I think they made it make little sense purposely, so people would just ignore the possibility of them being the same person. I believe that Sora fights Larry is in the past, the distant past, even. I think this because the way you get to the boss is through a big swirling vortex that could potentially be a time warp. Additionally, since it is in Mickey's basement, we can assume that it way used by him to go back in time to get involved in/witness the fight, possibly as instructed by Yen Sid while he was still his apprentice (explains the Star Seeker keyblade (Sora was given the star seeker by Yen Sid, so it looks like he gave it to Mickey by him too, during his training)) It is not so hard to think that Mickey has a portal to the past in his basement, since he has that door that leads to that black and white past world. So, based on all of that, I theorize this: Originally, Larry was not Xehanort. He could have been called Larry, for all we know. In fact he hated someone else named Xehanort, possibly baldy. This Xehanort was originally a partner of Ansem the wise. He leaves Ansem, and then he then finds the chasers (The knights) and possibly trains them. During the video, there are instances that indicate that the chasers had a past relationship with Baldy. When Baldy is holding Ven by the helmet, it appears as if he is just torturing him by letting him squirm. However, if you look at Baldy's face when it zooms into his face, you can see that he looks like he's lamenting, almost regretful. Then he smiles a crooked smile and drops him off a cliff. He smiles almost all through the video, and normally, he would be all smiles after pulling off such an awesome move like that without even looking back, but he isn't. Even his smile before he dropped Ven off the cliff was much smaller than usual, indicating that it is forced. He also hesitates before dropping him. Additionally, when he saw Baldy, he started to run forwards, but was held back by Larry. Eventually, he leaves them to open Kingdom Hearts or whatever, and Larry and the Chasers need to stop him. This would explain Larry's hatred toward "Xehanort" since he had betrayed them. Due to a traumatic event, possibly what comes after in the video, he loses his memory and his hair turns white prematurely. He is then found by Ansem the Wise, who does one of two things: He mistakes him for the original Xehanort(It is possible that baldy wasn't bald when he left) and tells him that’s who he is Missing having a companion, (He doesn’t have any since his other apprentices came after Xehanort)he names him after Xehanort. It is ironic that he should be named after the one he hated so much, but this can signify a number of things on the symbolic level. Although Xehanort without the 'x' is an anagram for 'no heart,' it is also an anagram of 'another,' signifying that there was one before him.(also, Xemnas' computer password at the beginning of the “Room of Sleep†scene was 'another') Since he eventually becomes a heartless, he 'lives up to his name.' 1 c) Xehanort’s “Heartless†I am starting to think that Xehanort's heartless, was not a heartless after all. He did turn into a heartless, therefore creating Xemnas, but then he turned back without knowing it. This is why he could still think and plan. There are a couple of things that make me think this. First of all Nomura suggests in "another report XIII" (referrenced below) that Xemnas is possibly a 'special nobody,' like Roxas and Naminé. A special nobody just means a nobody that was born in an irregular way. Also, in CoM, Axel says that Sora was only the second person to return to his body after creating a nobody. This implies that one of the other members is a special nobody. Axel couldn't have been referring to Kairi. I can't remember if he actually said after creating a heartless or nobody, but either way, Kairi has no heartless, and technically, no nobody. Ok, it’s kind of hard to explain, but its true. Naminé is actually NOT a nobody. If you don't believe me, read the secret Ansem reports again. (Pages 9 and 10) Normally, a heart leaves the body and becomes a heartless; the body goes to the realm of in-between and becomes a nobody. Naminé was created when Kairi's heart left Sora's body, so Kairi's body never actually left to the realm of in-between. However, Naminé was still created as a sort of 'proof of losing her heart.' Naminé is not a nobody, because she lacks the very essence of what a nobody is: their other's soul and body. Notice how she is very plain? She is, in essence, part of Kairi, but she isn't a nobody. Since she lacks Kairi's body, she also lacks her memories. She is a very unstable 'being.' A nobody is a body and soul. Naminé is not a body and soul. She is therefore not a nobody. Therefore, he couldn't be referring to Kairi, since she had nether a heartless or a nobody. 2. Birth by Sleep 2 a) Intro Birth by sleep could mean a number of things. It could mean the birth of Xehanort as Ansem's apprentice through the loss of memory (or "sleep") of whoever he was before. It would be considered 'sleep' and not 'death' of this persona, since forgotten memories can be remembered again, thus 'waking up' his past self. It could refer to the birth of a nobody, or many other things, but I believe it is something new, since it appeared in the secret videos of Kh2. 2 b) Room of Sleep I believe that the room of sleep is able to put a nobodies' current self to sleep, to temporarily access his past self in a more vivid way than just remembering. There are many things that make me think this. Early in the Xigbar and Zexion conversation scene (referenced below) Vexen says something along the lines of, "What is he doing sleeping at a time like this?" This implies that he is actually ‘sleeping’ to some degree. Vexen is a scientist type, so he would know how to room works. He couldn't resist finding out. Also, if he was just referring to activity in the room of sleep as sleeping, that would be a pun, and Vexen is not one to make jokes, especially when upset. Secondly, the First thing Xigbar says to Zexion a little later in that scene is, "I not too good in that place. How 'bout you Mister Zexion?" The room of sleep is not confidential to Xemnas, other Members of the Organization can use it too. It seems, however, it is not as big of a draw to the other members. They can still remember their pasts, though not as vividly as in the room of sleep. Xemnas uses it so much, because he normally can't remember his past at all. And finally, when Xemnas goes into the room of sleep(scene referenced below), he presses something and the room 'turns on,' indicating that it's not just a room with a chair and some armor in it. The markings on the wall are those of a nobody, meaning it was made by or is used for nobodies (or possible both). The room of sleep is not even in TWTNW, but in Hollow Bastion, so it is not just because it is in the Castle that Never was, because it's not. My guess is that when a nobody is in The Room of sleep, it is almost as if they have a heart. Some would be repulsed by the fact that it is only an illusion, though Xemnas, not remembering how it feels to have a heart (as he stated before that dragon thing comes around during the last boss) would be compelled to make this Room, and use it. Xigbar did say that the room of awakening was the one not built by Xemnas, implying he was the one the build the ‘Room of Sleep’. 2 c) The room of Awakening It may seem that the ‘Room of Awakening’ is in Castle Oblivion, already made by someone else. This is not necessarily the case. I find it hard to believe that after 6 members living there for a few months that they were simply ‘unable to find it.’ As stated in the “secret director’s interview,†(referenced below) the Organization did many experiments on memory using Naminé. Perhaps all they were told was that they were experiments “for better understanding the heart,†but the true objective of Castle Oblivion was to get the information to build the room of awakening. Although it was originally thought that Castle Oblivion had the room of awakening in it, it could be that it was required to make it. Naminé was important to the organization because of her influence on memory. Xemnas needed her to make the room of awakening. However, Marluxia betrayed him, and tried to use her to overthrow the organization. After the events of Castle Oblivion, Naminé escaped the clutches of the organization and went on to repair Sora's memory. Being no longer able to gather information on the room of awakening, Xemnas came up with his "use Kingdom Hearts" plan. Yet it is also possible that he was able to build the “Room of Awakening.†It could have something to do with the fact that hearts released from heartless went to their Kingdom Hearts, since (as Nomura states in the interview below) it is peculiar for that to happen. Usually, the heart returns to the body, and in the case of a nobody being created, the heart remains suspended until the nobody is defeated, then the nobody joins with their hearts. If a nobody is defeated before their hearts are released from their heartless, then the nobody plunges into darkness. Somehow, they are able to collect hearts after they are released. Since we don’t know how they did this, it is possible it has something to do with the room of awakening. 3. Worlds and Time 3 a) Memory of a nobody In CoM we are lead to believe that the memories are stored in the heart, because things Naminé says. However, since Nobodies have memory, it would seem to be in the body or soul. Alternatively, Reiyyan from the Kingdomhearts3.org boards suggests that nobodies, may have some connection to their hearts to be able to access their memories. This makes sense since ‘special nobodies’ usually have problems with memory. Because the heart is in their other’s body, they could somehow loose access to their memories. 3 b) Worlds are like people Also, since a world is like a person, (with a body, soul, and heart) is it not possible for worlds to have nobodies, too? When the stars flicker out, that would be like them turning into a "heartless," and perhaps "The end of the World" that Sora visits in Kh1 is an example of a heartless world. Nobody worlds would be in the realm of 'in-between,' like Twilight town, Castle Oblivion, Yen Sid’s Tower, Dark Coastline etc… I think that the Dark Coastline, where Riku and Sora are at the end of KH2, could be the nobody world of destiny islands. That would explain why they found the bottle there, since nobodies are connected with their others. Riku even said, “At least the waves sound the same.†This illustrates a connection between the two worlds. In The Secret report XIII, Nomura says that the dark coastline contains the boarder of the dark realm, and the sea is the beginning of the realm of Darkness. However, it was not necessarily always there. 3 c) Time: the past. There are many things that lead me to believe the Fm+ Secret video took place in the past and not the future. First of all, Mickey appears at the end and with the star seeker key blade. Mickey probably got the keyblade from Yen Sid. Since Yen Sid gave Sora this keychain, it seems, since Mickey was his apprentice, that Yen Sid gave Mickey it while he was training him. After he got the keyblade from the dark realm he gave it back. This points to it being in the past. It seemed that he was just observing the battle, possibly as told by Yen Sid. When Sora goes to fight the Enigmatic Soldier, it is through a portal in Mickey's basement. Mickey could have used that same portal to get there. It wouldn’t make sense for it to be in the future since Sora currently owns this keychain. There are a lot of people who argue that it was announced that the secret video is in the future. This misinterpretation is from an interview. In a summary of the interview (referenced below), it was said that "The secret movie is connected to what is coming in the future! (Let the theories begin!) Nomura says it would be a shame if you miss out on it. By 'coming up in the future' I'm pretty sure it's talking about our future. As in when the next game comes out. Meaning 'the secret video is connected to the next game that's coming out." Even if it was referring to the game, what happens in the past is connected to what happens in the future. Therefore, it was never announced that the secret video is in the future. Also, There is a line in the first Ansem reports that says †One legend says its wielder [of the keyblade] saved the world, while another says that he wrought chaos and ruin upon it." So it must have been a legend by then. When it put it in the video, I think it was meant to say that 'this is the legend.' If it is a legend by the time this was written, it means it takes place in the past. Furthermore, Xemnas refers to Aqua’s armor as his ‘old friend.’ Whatever the reason is for this is irrelevant at this point. It couldn’t have taken place in the future, or Xemnas wouldn’t know who she was. Also, the legend that Kairi’s grandmother speaks of in Kh1 could possibly be referring to the Keyblade war. Lastly, in Kh1, King Trident regarded the keyblade as evil. It was as if he heard the legend of the wielder bringing ruin upon the world. 4. True, I remember what Axel and Naminé said now. Well, I guess Axel may not have understood what she was. As for Naminé, she it's sad enough to be a nobody, but imagine how horrible it would be to not even be a nobody? She may have called herself a shadow before because Vexen or some of the organization members might have got mad at her if she called herself a nobody. Also, from a dramatic point of view, I'm pretty sure we head Diz mention nobodies before, so it would be the first time it would connect 'nobodies' to Roxas. It's a moment that foreshadows Sora and Roxas' connection. I'm not sure what you're saying about the ES. The thing about Naminé is that she is sort of a once in a lifetime chance. Someone like her may never come along again. You would need. 1. a heart free of darkness to migrate to another body 2. a keyblade that can manipulate peoples hearts (made of six other pure hearts) 3. the person who now has two hearts would need to be willing to rip them out. 4. They would both need strong wills. 5. And love is a possible factor Someone like Naminé is a rarity, so I don't think so, yet it is still not impossible.
You're right, just because they have no keychains, doesn't mean they're not keyblades. The discription of the kingdom key is something like, "the keyblades true form." maybe, without a keychain, the keyblade looks like it's 'true form."
Seriously, you're just joking right? I guess they could be brothers and stuff, but I think that all that you said would be considered copyright infringement...
Hmm, maybe, I can't remeber. I don't think they had anything to do with Aqua and Ven, though.
I think those were the pods goofy and donald were in.
Which ones? do you mean the ones in the hall?
If you want to understand what is going on in the first 3 hours of KH2, then play Re:COm first. If you like stories with an air of mystery, then play Fm+ first. That is, if you haven't played Kh2 yet. If you have, I think you should play Re:COM, to better understand the series.
Are you going to back that opinion up? In the secret Ansem reports, pages 9 and 10. I guess that kinda makes sense. I'm not quite sure what she is, I'm just sure what she isn't. Have you all ever noticed that they never ever refer to Naminé as a nobody? she is usually referred to as a witch. I do hate when they call her that though, it sounds really mean. In CoM (Riku's story) Larxene asks Naminé if she knows what the connection between her and Kairi is and she replies, "I'm Kairi's shadow." Since she is not Kairi's body and soul she is not her nobody. It is as simple as that.
Ok, I will explain it a different way. A nobody is the body and soul of a person with a strong will after they lose their heart. After someone loses their heart, their body goes to the realm of in-between to become a nobody. Naminé is not Kairi's body and soul, in fact, she isn't anyone's body and soul. Since she is not Kairi's body and soul, she is NOT her nobody. Kairi's body and soul stayed in the realm of light and never left to the realm of in-between, therefore she has no nobody. This is not just my opinion or something I found on some whacko theory site or something. The fact that Naminé is not a nobody is stated within the game. It's funny it's causing so much argument.
Not necessarily. She corresponds to Kairi as her nobody, although she isn't a nobody. A good analogy would be to say it's like when a child gets a new mother after being orphaned. She is like a mother to her, yet she is technically not her mother. Another thing to note: Naminé is not different because Kairi has no darkness in her heart, she is different because Kairi's heart migrated to Sora, and was later released from Sora's body instead of her own. It makes sense that Sora's feelings and memories of Kairi are what created Naminé's subsequent 'body.' Also, we don't know if other nobody's names are anagrams or not because we only know one who isn't part of the organization. We don't know the names of dusks or dansers, we just know the type they are.
It doesn't contradict itself. she is less of a being thatn a nobody. A non being doesn't have to be a nobody. What he means is that she is less than a nobody. Although nobodies 'do not exist,' she exists even less, since she's not even Kairi's body and soul. It can be said that she is Kairi's nobody, since she was created when Kairi's heart left Sora's body. Thanks everyone! finaly, people who agree with me. It could all mean a number of things. It could be that after Sora was changed back, a new body was created for sora, while his old body became Roxas. but, as Kanji was saying, Roxas can be considered 'not a nobody, though since he was created when his own heart left his body, he is more of a nobody than Naminé. Roxas Doesn't have any of Soras memories, indicating that it is not Sora's body that became Roxas. There is one line that I would like to point out from Secret Ansem Report 10: "Sora and Xehanort retained their selfhood even after becoming Heartless." This could mean one of two things. the first is that, Xehanort actualy turned back into a person, without knowing it, after he became a heartless. The second is that Sora, from the time after roxas was born to the time he merged back with Roxas, was a form of heartless. For whatever reason Xehanort's heartless had human form, Sora did too.
Umm, Actualy, yes he did directly say she wasn't a nobody From Ansem report 9 With no darkness in her heart, Kairi produced no Heartless, and instead of vanishing, her body remained in the realm of light. In other words, both the Nobody called Naminé and the Heartless—proof of a lost heart—are extremely unstable beings who lack the bodies needed to produce a Nobody. Therefore, they also lack Kairi's memories. One reason for this may be that Kairi's heart did not return to the darkness when separated from her body, but rather migrated to another vessel…deep within Sora's heart. That is, Naminé is an alter ego of the Kairi who has directly interfered with Sora's heart. Could this be why Sora and those whose hearts are connected to him were able to have their memories controlled? She is a “non-being†in the truest sense of the word; having not even become a Nobody and with nowhere left to go, she is but the most fleeting of shadows. He goes on to say more about it later. Naminé is still a part of Kairi and was therefore able to rejoin with her.
Yep that's right. Naminé is indeed not a nobody, as stated in the secret Ansem reports. Normally, a heart leaves the body and becomes a heartless; the body goes to the realm of in-between and becomes a nobody. Also, she is a very unstable 'being.' I found this kinda weird and would like to discuss it.
Well, Kanji's right, and Nomura also said that Xehanort's past is basicly what that game covers. So, my guess is that he is in the next game somewhere. Also, when you see his eyes turn yellow from giving in to the darkness, I believe that it is ment to give away the fact that he is xehanort.
It could mean that the memories of them are locked in there. Meaning each room is needed to remember certain people or something. You're right, she is an extremly rare occourence. I really meant that he found her and then formed his plans around her talents. I didn't know that she only had power over people connected to Sora, but that makes sense. Where did you hear that? In An interveiw with Nomura (link below) he says "The Organization thought of Naminé’s gift to manipulate memories as a way to resolve the actual circumstances surrounding each of their abilities and attributes. The memories of those who enter were used in the experiments on memories going on there. Above all else, the Organization’s leader, Xemnas, was investigating the importance of memories. During these experiments, in order for these memories to be broken and then regenerated, those pods were made by the Organization. The pod Sora awoke from in Twilight Town and the pod Diz moved from Castle Oblivion to keep away from the Organization’s pursuit are the same thing. Also, there is an additional scene where Xigbar talks about the “true goal of Castle Oblivion†and when this particular scene appears, I think all mystery surrounding Castle Oblivion should become clear." It looks like she has power over all memories to me. It turns out that the Organisation made the pod, so I guess the room of awakening isn't that room. It may not have been there, or they couldn't use it. Also in that same Interview, Nomura states, that Castle oblivion was around before the organizaion. Anyways, another thing I've been thinking of is the possiblility of XH not being a heartless at all. I mean he did become a heartless, but somehow became a person again. In an interview as part of "another Report" http://www.kingdomhearts3.net/another-report/pages-26-27/ Nomura talks about the kh series in detail. He mentions that Xemnas is a special nobody, like Roxas and Naminé. In CoM, Axel mentions that Sora was only the second person to go back to there body. I think this all points to Xehanort actually coming back to his body somehow, without even knowing it. This explains why he can still think and reason, and why he kept his human form. Does anyone else find the mention of purebred and embelm heartless in the ansem reports to be wierd? Any heartless with an "Insignia" or a marking (probably meaning the heartless simbol) Is an emblem, meaning manufactered. This means that only shadows and Neo-shadows and purebred, and ever other single type of heartless is an emblem. Obviously, a heart captured by another emblem heartless becomes an emblem too. We can see this in the scene, early in Kh1, where a man looses his heart and becomes a "knight" Hearless(which is an emblem).
You're right, Shingo, the connection between Ven and Aqua are strong. Although I'm not sure that Baldy is as cold blooded as you think. There may be a connection between Ven and Baldy. Even the his smile before he dropped Ven off the cliff was smaller than usual, indicating that it is forced. He also hesatates before dropping him. Additionally, when he saw Baldy, he started to run forwards, but was held back by Larry. I don't know how they knew each other, but I'm guessing that they had a Student/Teacher relationship. Although he doesn't let it get in the way of the battle, Baldy still feels a hint of remorse. I've been thinking about that lately and I think I've come up with something. It could mean the birth of Xehanort as Ansem's apprentice through the loss of memory (or "sleep") of whoever he was before. It would be considered 'sleep' and not 'death' of this persona, since forgotten memories can be remembered again, thus 'waking up' his past self. I believe that the room of sleep is able to put a nobodies' current self to sleep, to temporarily access his past self in a more vivid way than just remembering. There are many things that make me think this. Early in the Xigbar and Zexion conversation scene Vexen says something along the lines of, "What is he doing sleeping at a time like this?" This implies that he is actually sleeping to some degree. Vexen is a scientist type, so he would know how it works. And finally, when Xemnas goes into the room of sleep, he presses something and the room 'turns on,' indicating that it's not just a room with a chair and some armor in it. Xigbar did say that the room of awakening was the one not built by Xemnas, implying he was the one the build the other one: the Room of Sleep. Also, I think that he believed the room of Awakening could awaken a nobody's past self for good. I think that Ansem the Wise may have made this room, and I think it is the room with the giant flower thing in Castle Oblivion. He was able to move the thing back to twilight town and seemed to know how it worked. Sora's past self was 'awakened' though that room and Naminé. Xemnas wanted to use Naminé to awaken his past self, explaining why the organization had her in the first place. However, Marluxia betrayed him, and tried to use her to overthrow the organization. After the events of Castle Oblivion, Naminé escaped the clutches of the organization and went on to repair Sora's memory. Being no longer to use the room of awakening, Xemnas came up with his "use Kingdom Hearts" plan. I know I wrote a lot, but "Birth by Sleep" is an important subject. Comment would be appreciated.
