Wasn't exactly sure where to put this. I appear to be having a slight problem, though I'm not sure if other people have encountered this. On a monthly basis at least, I receive a PM advertising random forums and the most recent had a link to this forum, claiming it had a casino and arcade games. The sender of these ad pms is under the username darkslayer. Still, I'm not sure if I'm the only one havin' this problem D:
Sounds pretty icky to me, to be honest. XD
Ah, ye can't deny it. XD B'sides, Vegito really done anything badass other than make a complete fool out of Buu D:
I strongly disagree D: What's more kickass than takin' out the strongest DBZ villain period usin' only one leg and an arm? D:
I dun't know if this topic is subject for close XP This topic is fer anime fans to share their 'encyclopedic' information about their favorite anime so that when other viewers watch said anime, they'll have a correct understanding of what's going on o: Itz best the info comes straight from the people who KNOW whut they're talkin' about, rather than from the occasional instability of Wikipedia Strong points are Dragon Ball Z/GT, Bleach, Naruto (regrettably XD) and some Inuyasha and Samurai Deeper Kyo
But then again, it's their choice. It's what they want to do, no matter how stupid it sounds. It's ultimately a matter of choice and it really isn't harming anyone's property or whatever to begin with
Its that time D: Shout out ze best or worse quotes from cartoons based on video games. C'mon, think back, you musta heard them then and there. XD
Yesshu o: I reminds meh of the old days when I still had a Dreamcast and a lot of good Gamecube games. XD
'Ooooooooohhhhhhh!' XD You weren't really missin' much in 3 except for the death of Louis D:
Oh yes, I think (there better be) some people recognize this. RoboCop was a film series that debuted in 1987 written by Frank Miller of Sin City fame and spawned two sequels. It's one of those movies that take place 'in the not-too-distant future'. The movie focuses on Detroit, Michigan, where crime has become so violent it's turned into a war all on its own. Criminals will not hesitate to open fire on police officers who have threatened to go on strike, which doesn't help anything. The reason being? OCP, AKA, Omni Consumer Products. It's a multi-million dollar industry that plans to create a new supposed utopia called Delta City in place of Detriot. However, crime has become their first priority and since crime has elevated to such a hazardous level where not even the police can step in, they think of the next big thing: the next level in law enforcement. The plan is to replacehuman soldiers with machines capable of properly enforcing the law and keeping casualties to a minimum. In charge of this 'RoboCop' project is **** Jones, Senior President of OCP and unveils a prototype machine planned for mass-production, which then unexpectedly malfunctions and brutally executes an employee. Typically, Jones isn't pleased with the results and wants better. Meanwhile, a fiercely devoted cop by the name of Alex Murphy, is brutally murdered in the line of duty by a ragtag of dangerous criminals led by Bod****er (Kurtwood Smith who plays as 'Red' of That 70's Show), which resulted in the complete loss of his arm followed by a gun shot to the head. His brain is brought into the project of Robocop and awakens several times during his construction before he is successfully completed the following year. 'Robocop' proves to be a huge success, but then a memory suddenly appears in Robocop's 'mind', which recalls his own murder repeated several times over. His programming is no longer in control and Robocop begins to act on his own by attempting to find the people who murdered him. The movie is sorta like a precursor to Terminator 2 as Robocop begins to exhibit bits and pieces and humanity before finally regaining his former identity as 'Murphy' at the end of the film. The movie was a huge success as there were few films where a robot begins to feel emotion and pain back in the day. In addition, it also led to the inspiration for a Japanese live-action sci-fi series with similar themes to the movie. The intermissions consisted of typical, light-toned commercials in sharp contrast to the movie itself. Robcop 2 was released in 1990, but didn't do as well as the first one. Instead, it received a considerable amount of negative feedback, mostly due to the resetting of Robocop's character, who had become human in mind by the end of the first film. Robocop 2 had the now-cliched plot device of a villain with a similar position/powers as the protagonist. The film mainly focuses on attempting to duplicate the Robocop project by building a 'Robocop 2' after OCP received a filed complaint accusing the first Robocop of potential stalking and the staff attempts to keep reminding him he is merely machine and not human. The first two attempts at Robocop 2 were a disaster as both committed suicide from excessive pain in their mechanical bodies. The only solution to the problem was for the subject to have a mindset just as strong as Murphy's and found their potential host in Cain, a drug dealer with a god complex who attends to make it big by selling the most addictive neurotic in existence, dubbed 'Nuke', to the entire world. He is mortally wounded before being 'killed' in the hospital where he goes through a much more grotesque version of the Robocop conversion. Like the other test subjects, he exhibits intense pain, but can only be subsided through canisters of Nuke and OCP's corrupt becomes evident. Robocop 3 was released three years later, but that's where fans lost interest Well, whaddya think of zis series? o:
That ain't whut I meant. I dun't believe in anything that hasn't been proven as actually existing. XP
Big the Cat from Sonic the Hedgehog. As temptin' as it would to be a badass character, I'd rather not live out their rough lives. I just wanna chill and relax. XD
It pretty much counts as a living indiviual. It's populated by organisms that allow other organisms to sustain themselves and so on. XP
I don't believe in what I haven't seen Werewolves and vampires have only existed in fiction but I guess some fans of said fiction genre got too attached into the stories and started tryin' to make 'em real. XD
Like most people said, not attending school shouldn't be illegal to begin. It should only be a matter of choice and not law though I doubt any parent would want their kid growin' up stupid unless said parent would personally see to them getting an education, as long as it's not the 'wrong one'
Best Game: Tight tie between Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Super Smash Bros. Brawl Worst Game: Superman 64. Game blew so hard my sister and I had to roleplay on it just to make it look good.......it didn't work D:
I've noticed quite a trend goin' around, especially on YouTube. A lot of people who play games (especially fighting ones), based on an anime can be REALLY ******ed at times to the point of verbal abuse This holds especially true for the Dragon Ball Z fighting games, such as with the Budokai and Tenkaichi ones. I mean, these guys REALLY don't know a thing or two about characters. This was pretty evident in the comments of a Budokai 3 video where a human player Goten with Fusion availible defeats Broly. Apparently, the outcome of the match gave birth to a bombshell of ******edness, throwing 'colorful' words everywhere just because their favorite character lost to a another character they thought was weaker. That being said, most people who play fighting games, ESPECIALLY the DBZ ones, over and underestimate every character there, believing that 'the strongest character' can and will win every single time, when that is not how it works because every character in a fighting game has his or her weaknesses. The true strentgh and effectiveness of a fighter depends wholly on the player behind him/her and not the initial advantages that game has. Another thing is the constant complaining of English voices. Of course, these people are too stupid to actually turn away and ignore what they see and instead, have to say how much 'EENGLEESH VOISE SUX BALLZ' I know this kinda crap has to get on your last nerves, too. XD
Suicide is both pretty stupid and cheatin' D: Sure, of course you've had quite a messed up backgrounds, but I'm pretty sure other people would've had it worse.. As a kid, I wasn't much of a social guy mahself, in fact, most of the girls didn't even like me, and I got picked on at times and I had faced two very stressful events on ze internet that had changed meh quite a bit, but I didn't go pick up a knife tryin' to run away from it. Look, dood. There are gonna be some bad times, but there will also be good ones too. No matter whut happens, live for today and look forward to tomorrow. I know I should be shot fer stealin' zat line. XD But it's a pretty damn good motto live by. Who knows, you just might be a millionaire tomorrow. Ya never know until that day comes around. Just appreciate all the things you have. I mean, it'd be a pretty damn big middle finger to your family if you just simply decide to quit on your life and leave everything behind just because ya couldn't 'take it anymore'. Suicide is NEVER the answer to your problems. Not EVER. Not one little tiny bit. Sure, you're allowed to bang your head in frustration, but it'd be a real shame for ya to add to the stereotype of emos by cutting yourself and further encouragin' others to cause serious self-bodily harm to themselves in order to run away from their problems. Besides, that's why we have video games. XD
Otherwise, known as the second part of Dragon Ball in the Japanese manga, Drgaon Ball Z was arguably one of the greatest anime ever to grace public television. Dragon Ball Z is a nice mixture of fantasy, sci-fi, and its most prominent genre, martial arts. The anime was first aired in Japan in 1989 and ended in 1995. It follows the original story from the manga, from the Saiyan saga to the Buu saga and includes filler episodes created by Toei, in which a plenty of fights from the manga were extended and prolonged, something DBZ had become notorious for, as well as other action-oriented anime that followed it. It had also served the inspiration for future manga artists, most notably, Masashi Kishimoto of the Naruto franchise Dragon Ball Z takes place a few years after the finale of Dragon Ball, in which Goku had defeated the offspring of the Demon King Piccolo in the Tenkaichi Budokai tournament to decide the fate of the world. Goku is now married to his wife, Chi-Chi and gave birth to a son, Gohan. All is peaceful until an intergalactic invader from outer space arrives on Earth in search of the legendary Dragon Balls. He locates the Dragon Ball that was kept with Gohan and soundly defeats Piccolo and Goku. The two enemies are forced to join together and eliminate this threat. During their second confrontation with this new enemy, the two are informed of their ultimate identities. Goku finds out that he is related to this enemy named Raditz, by being his blood brother, and that they are a race of human/ape hybrid aliens called Saiyans, while Piccolo learns that he is not a demon, but also alien, known as a Namekian. The two are narrowly able to kill Raditz after saving Gohan from being taken away, at the expense of Goku's own life, requested by his own arch-nemesis Piccolo. From that point on, the series takes a drastic turn from being a mythic themed series to a sci-fi series. Unlike most typical anime, protagonists early in the series are killed by stronger villains on occasion in order to add to the serious nature. After the Freeza saga, the series began to emphasize more on well-presented fights in lieu of story-telling, though the seriousness of these fights seem to compensate for this. Near the climax of the Freeza saga, Goku awakens a hidden, legendary power known as the Super Saiyan, a being said to eclipse any other fighter in existence. The Super Saiyan power becomes the protagonists' main weapon after the Freeza saga as more and more powerful forms of the Super Saiyan form are discovered in each saga. In said form, a Saiyan's hair becomes spiky and is forced up, which then turns to a brilliant gold color, and the body is enveloped in a gold aura. As the Super Saiyan form evolves, the aura and hair themselves begin to take drastic changes and each form becomes more powerful than the last, as the highest ever reached is the third level (Super Saiyan 3) After the anime had ended in Japan, it was dubbed in several countries around the world due to its immense success. The most prominent dubs were the ones for Latin America and North America. The Latin American dub retains the original material as no scenes are cut and the original soundtrack is kept the same. The North American dub was first handled by Ocean Studios, which contained somewhat of a heavy overhaul that included different sound effects, music and a new opening theme entitled Rock the Dragon, which became nostalgic amongst English-speaking fans. This dub was also heavily censored as well. Although characters getting punched onscreen is still kept in, sound effects in which punches connected were cut. Also, since characters constantly threw death threats, they instead threatened their opponents to be 'sent to the next dimension', though this is plausible since they do end up another world. Sometime late in the Freeza Saga, Funimation took over the dub and was broadcast in place of Ocean's dub. The censoring here was kept to a minimum as characters would now officially die instead of being blasted into another realm, though some of the blood is still cut out. The Funimation dub had new voice actors and kept in the original sound effects and a new soundtrack was composed by Bruce Falconer, whose work was widely considered to be better than the original one made by Shinsuke Kikuchi. The Funimation dub of Dragon Ball Z was perhaps the bomb that unleashed the anime explosion in North America as well as other English-speaking regions, and since then, anime had integrated into our culture. One of the ongoing debates in the Dragon Ball Z fandom were the original vs. the English, and had been widely regarded as one of the few anime with a superior English dub over the original voices with subjects touching on Son Goku's voice. Goku had been originally voiced by Masako Nozawa in Japan and had voiced him in DBZ and its anime spinoff, GT. In the Ocean Dub, he is voiced by Ian Corlett, who also voiced Mega Man in his animated series as well as the series arch-enemy, Dr. Wily. In the Funi dub, Sean Schemmel does his voice, who is widely regarded as the best voice actor for Goku, period as he gives him a proper masculine voice. Fans are somewhat irritated with Goku's Japanese voice as it has never once changed in tone or seiyu for that matter over the years. Whilst Masako's voice works well with Kid Goku, it completely throws off the character as Goku is an adult for the entire anime. Schemmel however, gave Goku a wider variety of character as his voice is given levels of ferocity and seriousness as well as upbeat tones as well. The English cast overall, presented a much better experience for the series Another comparison debate is the music. The original Japanese audio is merely recycled from the original Dragon Ball anime. As mentioned above, the English Funi dub had replaced the original, melodramatic soundtrack with a more serious-toned soundtrack that gave more characters an emphasis on presentation that most English-speaking fans found more favorable and 'badass' Dragon Ball Z was definitely one of the best anime ever, no matter how ridiculous it was at times. Unfortunately, today's anime fans are unable to appreciate its success in America and the impact it had there as well as anywhere else. It wasn't your typical everyday anime. It contained little fanservice at all, there were no 'emo' characters anywhere whatsoever, nor were there any stereotypes. No character was given plot invulnerability just for being the good guy. And only two characters in the entire series ever used a sword. Many characters, including Goku, have died more than once and at the near end of the anime, the entire Earth itself is destroyed. Perhaps the most sinister villain around was Freeza, who was essentially an intergalactic version of Hitler who was not only racist against a specific race, but was also insane and had even committed acts of genocide, only to face irony in the end after his death. During the anime's run, the series spawned a total of 13 movies, introducing new baddies for the Z Fighters to combat. The most popular and most recurring villain character was Broly, who had appeared in three movies. He was best known for his villainous role as an insane Super Saiyan as opposed to the rest who fought on the good side. According to his backstory, Broly had obtained the Super Saiyan form years before Goku did, and was shown to be mentally unstable, and held a reflexive hate towards Goku for having cried so much when they were born on the same day. The anime also spawned two TV Specials as well. The first being Bardock: The Father of Goku. As the title says, it revolves around Goku's father, his uprising and eventual death at the hands of Freiza after attempting to rebel against him with a rally backing him up. Just like Goku, Bardock was a low-class Saiyan, but with a special ability to see into the future. Bardock is the first ever anime character in history to be given a canon presence in the manga Funi is currently working on DVD boxsets for the uncensored version with their English voice cast having re-released two movies and the Cell Saga. Any opinions or questions? o:
Todays's kids a gettin' a bad education, gettin' spoiled by crappy anime, brainwashed by sh*tty bands and dreaaaaadful cartoons and exposed to too much of the internet, ESPECIALLY when it comes to MySpace. D: All in all, I blame the greedy corporates, parents and peer pressure
