I once saw an interpretation of how God made earth in seven days according to evolutionary standards. I believe in both religion and evolution, there's no point in choosing. I believe that it all came down to one source, and that source is God. Just my opinion. EDIT: Furthermore, to dwell a bit on that...I do believe in God. I'm not sure if he's (if he's a he) a physical or non-physical entity, I just believe there's some sort of higher power. Maybe it's not even what we think it is. But I believe there's something higher than us that would be called the true God, so to speak. And I don't think he has any personality or anything, I just think he's there.
Whether or not they're in a relationship, it's obvious they have feelings for each other. The cave scene kinda says it all. And she's his light. I love the threesome but you can still have a three-way-friendship with two of the friends dating. Not to mention they're fictional characters who can make it work.
Haha, I actually DO somewhat agree with that stereotype =P Guys can be way too promiscuous. Female presidents would bring disaster? Ouch, that must hurt a woman's pride. o-o
I think that we went down the wrong road once we started dressing boys in blue and girls in pink. Think about it: you see a little girl wearing a blue dress, awww how cute. But people still get confused when they see a little BOY wearing PINK. This is where it begins, and it gradually grows...to what they play with, to their leisure time, to sensitivity. Like many of you said, boys are looked down upon for crying. Not only does that deprive a male of his emotions, but wouldn't you say it works as a girl stereotype as well? I'm sure there are girls out there who choose not to cry. Remarkable, though...my friend at one time saw the apron I had to wear in a school musical. I said "It's a bit feminine, but that's okay..." and he said to me "I don't really believe in masculinity." I found it interesting and relieving that there are those who think like that.
Luckily, if you look at the homosexual movement in comparison to other historical movements, this movement IS still moving a great deal faster..
See this? This is the laws of homosexuality in the world. I doubt society has moved on completely yet. First, they have to prove to the people who think it's a choice that it's not a choice, but something you're born with. Then, they predict that after THAT is fulfilled, they have to prove to those same people that we don't have a disease (which many people already think in that light). For this, no. I don't think it's a choice. I know it isn't.
That's exactly my point. I want to know why the people who do think it's a choice would think that a gay guy or gay girl would choose a hard life. It would be stupid to do so.
Please indulge me by telling me why those people would choose a hard life such as that?
1st time: One try 2nd time: More tries than it took to beat Misty with a Squirtle ._.
It's fine if that's your opinion, I respect that. But when you spend half of your life in puberty trying desperately to force arousing thoughts about women onto yourself, each one of which do not work, I think you know if it's a choice or not. ;) It can't be environment. I said it before and I'll say it again: a child who is raised by a same-sex couple has been confirmed to have no differences with that of a child who's been raised by a heterosexual couple. I can say it many times, it's not environment. Some people have heard that it occurs in the first 6 years of your life. This would make sense, because according to my child development class, in that time frame, who you are as a person is mapped out. But at the same time, this would mean environment, so it's unlikely that this is true.
I know what you mean about gene, but I don't think it's the right terminology. You ARE born with a sexual orientation. Whether it be straight, gay, or bi. It's NOT a choice. For anyone who believes it's a choice, take it from me. Nobody chooses to live a life of hardships in a world of social norms where so many people look down on them for being gay. Nobody wants to choose to live in fear with the many hate crimes against gay people. And I know for a fact that some people wanna live perfectly "normal" lives, but they just can't. And you can disagree, but a straight point of view is kind of hard to take in when you don't know what it's like. It's not a lifestyle, it's a part of you. And it's not an environmental influence, or else a child who is adopted by a same-sex couple would turn out gay. And they've done studies that show that a same-sex couples children have NO difference when compared to a heterosexual couples children. Whatsoever. But, I don't know about it being a "gene". But I think I know your aim.
I think love is a very strong word. And someone mentioned that they didn't believe in one true love. I agree and disagree at the same time. I think there IS one person (maybe even more) who you're meant to be with, but I believe you can love plenty more. Let's try to think about the difference between like and love too. I mean, there are many forms of "like" as well. Such as limerance. That can feel a great deal about love. I'm always afraid to say I'm in love in case I'm not..
Personally, I prefer Mandy. I think Mena had the potential, but she was incredibally lacking in the enthusiasm. :p She DID sound spaced. However, I think she fit the role of Aerith in Advent Children. But she didn't necessarily say much to ruin the sound of Aerith in that movie. She had many more lines in KH2. But I still loved Mandy as Aerith MUCH more than I did Mena.
Hey there! I'm new, if you hadn't noticed already. This registration came up spontaniously, so I guess I was in a "forum-y" mood or something. Usually I join them when I need something to take my mind off of...other things. So message boards can come in handy! But I'd also like to clarify that although I am indeed a newbie on these forums, I'm anything but a newbie to how forums work. But if there is anything I should know about this forum that seperates it from others, I'd appreciate it if you would let me know. ^_^ Anyways, I'm Jest. KH fan, of course. And I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you. Stop by and say hi! (haha I love saying that...it ALWAYS rhymes.)
