OoC: Indeed, to L's office. I hope Diary gains Snake's trust soon. I like the idea of them being partners. IC: Snake didn't reply to Diary's messages. He didn't need to. It was obvious what they had to do next. While it seemed odd to 'tell the teacher' that they thought Just was a mass-murdering maniac, but then again other schools didn't have at least four geniuses on their staff. Snake nodded and stood up. Beckoning Diary, he moved towards the door. Siddoh watched Marcus. It seemed like Marcus was on Destiny's side. Siddoh checked Marcus' lifespan. Hmmm, Siddoh mused, That's pretty short for someone his age. It looks like he dies in a decade, give or take a few years. Wonder how it'll happen. Meanwhile... "Light-kun, what's going on?" Misa asked. "We have to get to L and tell him about Kira's reappearance," Light explained, jogging towards L's office, Matsuda in tow. He turned to Matsuda, "Do Mogi and Aizawa know?" Matsuda shook his head, "Nah, I only knew because you paged me. I figure they'll find out soon enough." Light turned back. If only Dad were here to help, he thought sadly. Soichiro Yagami was currently in a casket beneath a fresh gravestone. The force were still having a little trouble getting over it. At last, the three came to L's office. Light opened the door and the trio burst in. "L!" Light exclaimed, "Kira's reappeared!" OoC: Ok, I think I have a 'What If' sort of chronology up. As far as I can concoct, it's like Light magically never regained his memories after capturing Higuchi and thus L is still alive. However, Mello still went rogue to get the notebook and Soichiro was killed in the raid as per the anime. However, Mello magically escaped blame and is now a teacher at L's Academy. WTF, I thought it up and it still doesn't make sense to me.
L is supposed to have solved all the cases he went on and he managed to convict Higuchi and the rest of the Yotsuba group for mass-murder. Somehow, I think it would be good to have him on our side. Then again, it's not like I can trust someone I don't even know. I just wish I could trust someone here. Snake sent the four messages to Diary. "Light? Anyone?" Matsuda called, barging into the school. Misa trailed behind him, slightly miffed by the interruption. "Matsuda?" Light said, suddenly appearing from the shadows, closely followed by Watari. "Light, did you get the news?" Matsuda panted, "Kira-" "Has started killing again," Light finished, "I know. I saw on the news. We have to tell L."
Snake read the three messages. He had known Koi was up to something, and he should have guessed that it was him. After all, he had backed Just into a corner the first time he talked to him. Just probably saw him as a threat. Diary's message about the notebook triggered a feeling of dread. The notebook that kills people... Snake had seen it on his first day and it had disappeared when he went back to it. Was that the weapon now in Just's hands? There had been rules... Damnit, why couldn't he remember them? There had been pages of rules, but he'd only seen the first one. Snake scribbled his own message, You think Just has it? But why should I trust you? For all I know, you're working with him and Koi to trap me. Snake felt in his gut that Diary was on his side, but he didn't want to take the chance.

OoC: Rofl, I can't believe I let slip his first name. Wait, she knows Just AND Koi's name? Heh, didn't know that. I recalled the mic function because my friend was playing Brain Training but it didn't register his voice, so he shouted 'MATES!' into the mic. Afterwards the game held it against him and refused to acknowledge anything else he said. IC: Snake nodded and pulled out his DS. It was missing its microphones still. Snake hoped that Diary wouldn't ask about that. He pulled out the stylus and sketched a message on the touchscreen. He showed Diary the message. What have you got about Just? It read. Meanwhile, and the gates of the academy... "Ooh, I can't wait to find Raito again!" Misa said to herself, stepping out of her car, "With all the modeling work I just can't spend enough time with him!" "Misa-Misa, I'm sure Light misses you as much as you miss him," Matsuda comforted Misa. He absent-mindedly ran his hand through his hair. Misa had demanded that he have it cut, insisting that she couldn't have a messy-looking agent. (OoC: Matsuda's short hair from after the five-year time jump) Matsuda looked at his belt. His pager was beeping. Matsuda unclipped it and read the message. "It's from Light!" Matsuda said, smiling. The smile crumbled from his face like dirt as he read the message. "What's wrong Matsu?" Misa asked. "It's Kira..." Matsuda said quietly, "He's started killing again." And with that, Matsuda took off into the school.
I ran through those lines and Xemnas is my easiest voice. Worst is a tie between Riku and Roxas. On a more important note, I'm afraid I don't know how to record voice samples -_-" Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction? I really want the chance to voice-act.
OoC: So you take your DS to school? I hope you don't play games that use the microphone, lolz :p IC:Snake jumped as Diary opened her door and spoke to him. How had she know that he was outside. Was she psychic or something? Diary approached him and passed him her DS. Curious, Snake looked at the DS screen. There's something I wanted to tell you about Just, would you mind coming in for a few?, it read. Is she suspicious of Just as well? Snake wondered. He gave an obvious nod and the two entered Diary's room. Siddoh eyed Snake curiously. He wasn't sure just whose side he was on. Meanwhile, a fair distance across the school, Light Yagami stared at the TV with dread. Over fifty wanted criminals had died of heart attacks in the past few days. No... Kira back? It can't be... OoC: Heh, now that I suggested Snake dying, I can't get the thought out of my head :P. I think that with Snake and Diary working together to catch Just, then I get the feeling that Snake will eventually reveal his name to Diary.
I dunno, sounds ok. I can do a good Roxas or Axel (never asked anyone >_> ) or maybe a Riku. I think I could pull off a Xemnas, considering that I have a natural deep voice but can throw it to Kingdom-Hearts-helium-pitch if I have to.

OoC: Sorry about that. I was going to reply earlier but I had to go to school beforehand. BTW, Snake's plot was inspired by Just's paranoia! XD IC: Siddoh nodded, accepting Diary's request. Seizing his chocolaty treats from Diary's hand, he left to search the school. Meanwhile, another was conducting his own search. It had been a day since Snake last saw Just, but that didn't mean he had been idle. Snake had noticed how close Koi and Just had been getting, a friendship that had seemingly sprung up overnight. Snake also noticed that the two met in Just's room a lot. Snake was determined to find out what they were doing. Snake had been spending his free time in his room with his PSP. However, games didn't even cross his mind during that time. He had been working on his little black gadget for quite some time. Snake partially dismantled the DS that had been in his bag, removing the microphone system and implanting it into his PSP. With a lot of work, Snake found that he could record sound using the microphones and store them on the PSP's hard drive. When Snake was sure that Just wasn't in his room, he had hidden the PSP under Just's bed and set it to record. Snake noticed that Koi had entered Just's room again. He was itching to know what they were talking about. Siddoh phased through the door of Diary's room, entering the corridor. Instantly, he spotted Snake standing outside. Hmmmmm, Siddoh thought, reading the name, Marcus McKeller? I wonder what he's up to. Is he the one with the other notebook? Maybe I should check with Diary, just to be safe. Siddoh stuck his head through Diary's door, "Diary, there's a boy in the corridor looking suspicious. Should I check it out?"
Oh god, a desperate cash-in on a series with such a mediocre ending. After Deathly Hallows I don't even want to THINK about Harry Potter. I.E. Snape is evil. Oh wait, no he's not! He just wanted to get it on with Harry's mum, and Dumbledore was in love with a MALE dark wizard and yay for expositon about Dumbledore's family which we didn't actualy need. Oh look, Harry is part of some secret bloodline that was never mentioned until now and there's an ancient wand that Dumbledore mysteriously had and Harry is supposed to be the rightful owner. Oh, and Ron and Hermione get it on and have two children despite hating each other passionately until the last chapter. Seriously, fanfiction makes mores sense than that. And look at that, let's spend a chapter with a whole lot of expositon from resident emo Dumbledore who's dead but conveniently alive in a portrait to help the aforementioned traitor-oh wait, a good guy Snape. Oh, and Harry kills Voldemort by being a teenage Jebus. Riiiiight. *disengaging rant*
... omfg, there's more than one human being that's read that series? It's been so long (at least two years) since I read it, but I do remember that Mumpo started off as a 'special' kid that became inexplicably badass in Slaves of the Mastery. I seem to recall him snapping some guy's neck later in the book...
OoC: Omg, I single-handedly blew our chronology to kingdom come. Siddoh complained about Mello's gang, which is set after L and Watari die. IC: Siddoh eyed the bars greedily. The shinigami realm may have apples - tasteless as they were - but chocolate was a human invention. In that instant, Desti- Diary had Siddoh hooked. "So, what's your plan?" Siddoh asked.

"Hmmm," Siddoh thought, "Technically, I'm just supposed to be an observer, but there's nothing in the rules against helping a human, unless you..." No, Siddoh caught himself in time, I am NOT telling her that. "You don't seem that bad a human to have picked up my Death Note," Siddoh continued, "At least you're better than that other guy. What was his name? Blonde, scary.... Mihael something...? Anyway, the only good thing about him was that he had a lot of chocolate." "Anyway, I'd watch out if I were you. I'm hoping I'm wrong, but it's most likely Ryuk that dropped the Death Note here. He doesn't like me. He stole my notebook and said it was his. Once I found him I had to bug him the whole day to get it back," Siddoh trailed off from his little complaining session into silence.
As Destiny... no, Diary told Siddoh that she couldn't give back the notebook, Siddoh let out a frustrated whine. Siddoh listened as Diary continued talking. How did she know so much about shinigami? And the eye deal? "Oh, that's right," Siddoh said in a sulk, "Looks like you're genius enough to not need me to explain anything. If you already know about the eye deal and stuff, then you'd probably know how to find another notebook user yourself." Siddoh turned around in a huff. There was a pause. "Alright, I don't know, what do you want from me? I'm not a detective, I just work here!" Siddoh said. He looked at Diary. Suddenly, a thought struck him. "Actually," Siddoh began, "I can see any other shinigami in the human world without touching their notebook. If I saw the other shinigami, then I could see who he or she is following." There was another, longer pause, "Can I have some chocolate?" OoC: It would be hilarious if Koi took the disc back and the only thing on it was the message, "You underestimate L." In my opinion, the most likely thing for L to do would to have the only copy of those files in a USB that hangs around his neck or something. Just getting that out there.
