As Hotel shot at her, Aislinn turned her body, protecting Dayla with everything she could. Luckily nothing hit the child, but Aislinn found herself routed in place as Hotel seemed to pay no mind to AJ. Perhaps she should have gotten away while AJ had been providing cover, but she hadn't wanted to leave without Zeke at her side too. Now it didn't seem to matter. She clearly wasn't going to be going anywhere out of her own volition and Dayla was getting more upset and scared. At this point Aislinn was getting desperate to figure out what to do about this. She was locked in place, and because of the way she had turned to protect Dayla it wasn't a comfortable place. There was very little fighting she could do from this position. She knew that this was not ideal and that AJ would likely be mad at her for such things, but Aislinn couldn't care at this point. She needed to protect her family. "Let me get Dayla back to her family. If I can return her, then I will go with you, willingly, no fight." Aislinn called to Hotel. She would have to trust the other three to get Zeke back, but given that Nathan was gone as well, she knew that Kel would already be on the search, she could trust him to do it. Of course he had to deal with two of them as one of them gave up. "Aw come one, can't you deal with the blonde one. He seems to be a pain in the butt." X-ray complained as he still stood there watching everything happen. No one had attacked him, so he wasn't going to attack them. Perhaps they would just give up, if not then he would dispense of them quickly so he could get out of there. Well Zulu was as uninteresting as ever. He seemed to think his mere words could stop Karina from doing what she wanted, but of course, Karina couldn't care less about what he had to say. "Give it up already." But it seemed that he didn't have a choice. Something stabbed Zulu, and it wasn't one of them. Karina watched for a moment as she suddenly saw Vanitas appear. He immediately began to taunt her, and Karina found herself rolling her eyes at him. "Is one of those loved ones my fiance? And was that place outside the ship?" Karina seemed completely unfazed about the news of her mother. It wasn't that she didn't care about what happened to her mother, it was more that she knew that her mother had dealt with worse for longer. She would be fine sitting in a cell for an hour or two while Karina cleaned up this mess. Aux on the other hand didn't take the news as well. She could hardly act in time to stop his rage, as the one that had stabbed Zulu. Karina could only listen as a small conversation took place between Aux and Vanitas. This was Aux's battle to fight, she knew that. She didn't not wish to step in. That however left her to deal with Vanitas, which he happily reminded her of. Karina stood up straight and just looked at Vanitas as he turned back towards her. "I agree, I can let Aux beat that thing again. I think it will be good for him. Now I get to get my anger out on you, and I have had a crappy day so far. It will feel good." Karina said it with more confidence than she actually had. Vanitas has been a handful for a group of them, on her own she didn't expect it to be easy, and she was still in pain. "Clearly your threats are idol though, you speak as though you are confident in your plan of using loved ones against us, but jokes on you because I don't really have any." Those she care for most would be fighting right now. Being sent to a different part of the ship wouldn't stop them. "So lets go." She held her keyblade up, but wasn't ready to make the first move.
Karina did not expect things to go the way that they did. She figured that with his keyblade, Aux would do the magic keyblade unlock thing. Instead he opted for brute force. Normally Karina would have called him out on his methods, but given his freakout earlier, and the fact that they still needed to escape, she held her tongue. It did however leave her hands locked up, the first thing that she was hinting at him getting off. Either way for the most part she was freed, her bracelet even seemed to clink to the ground on it's own accord. Whatever was happening now seemed both helpful and worrisome, especially given the voice that came over the intercom. "Maybe my fa-" Karina had started to give an optimistic reasoning for what might have happened, but before she could get too many words out, someone else stepped in the area that made Karina grown. "Oh great, it is you. Here to bore us to death with your attempts at being cool?" Karina asked dryly as she slowly worked at getting out of her manacles. She might not know as much about slipping out of manacles as Aux, but if Aux could break her collar with his strength, certainly she could do something here. He had already taken enough force from the shock that she wasn't going to ask him for anymore help. Instead Karina started putting all her strength behind yanking her hands a part. Each time she did, the metal bit into her skin more, causing her to wince even though she didn't want to, but on the third try, the chains between managed to break free, separating her two hands, even if the shackles themselves still remained on her wrists. With her arms now free, Karina swung them forward, flexing a bit and doing everything she could to rip her dress more in the back, making it easier to fight. She could feel the dress rip to her lower back, and in many ways, Karina was embarrassed by this. It wasn't because she thought it was scandalous and no one should see, though that was certainly something they concerned themselves with on her world. Karina was more embarrassed by the scars on her back. Mainly she didn't want anyone to look upon her with pity. Though given it was Aux, she doubted that she had to worry about that. Now that she was free and able to move Karina summoned her keyblade to her and just looked at Zulu. "I appreciate you trying to be a threat and all, but I need to go expose my dear father to be the *Kupo*face that he really is. I am sure you will understand." Karina stated as she tried to start pushing her way past Zulu towards the elevators back up to where her room was so that she could wear proper clothing before making a fool out of her father. It would at least be better than in a torn dress, after all, she needed to be able to move, and Karina highly doubted that her father would have a guard watching an empty room at this point.
After Beuce had finished with what he had to say, there was a few more questions before Adrian had stood up. Aislinn silently cheered for her brother-in-law, hoping for the best for him. It wasn't long though before she realized that those hopes were in vein. He was nervous and stumbling all over his words. With a sigh, Ailsinn waited a moment before standing up to interject, much to some of the council's dismay. It was mostly General Xares however that had a problem with her speaking up as a non-world leader. This was overruled, but Aislinn couldn't say that she was surprised by his annoyance. She had once tried to join the guard on the ship, but Xares had made it clear they didn't need her. He had implied that she would be of more use watching children. It was this attitude that brought them to the talking point that she and Adrian had prepared. It was mostly about education for the children in a place where so many cultures collided, and support for those who wished to educate just kids from their own world. It was a bit of a complicated matter, she knew that, but at least it was now being thought about. For that Aislinn was grateful. It was moments later that her bracelet fell off and Aislinn looked around concerned. They seemed to not be making a big deal about it, but Aislinn wasn't sure that it wasn't a big deal. Something seemed off and she wanted to find out. Before that was really a possibility a voice came on the intercom and Aislinn cringed. This wasn't good. Suddenly a portal appeared and Zeke was sucked through. Aislinn was on her feet in seconds, Dayla in her arms. "Zeke!" She cried out, looking around to see that Nathan was gone too. "Zeke!" She cried out again as a sudden x appeared on her. "You are so noisy. Why don't you just behave?" The man on the skateboard said as she shoved his hands in his pockets looking at the group, and at the girl who was crying out. "Make our jobs easier and surrender, maybe I won't hurt the kid." He said lazily, eyeing the infant that Aislinn was holder. Aislinn was not willing to give up that easily. She knew that these guys meant trouble, and she wouldn't get Zeke back by just walking away. A flash of light enveloped Aislinn as her form was now surrounded by brilliant white armour, as she went into her paladin form. With all the sudden changes, Dayla started crying, and Aislinn tried her best to bounce the infant while summoning her keyblade to her free hand. "Zeke is four, if I find out you hurt him in any way, there will be no end to my wrath." Aislinn promised.

Zeke began to clap and laugh as Faust was doing the trick for him. "Cool. Show me, show me!" The kid begged wanting to know how to do the magic, but was becoming rather loud in the process, causing a lot of people in the near area to turn and look at them. Aislinn cringed from behind, realizing how loud Zeke was getting. "Zeke, you can watch, but you have to be quieter." She tried to instruct the small child. Zeke nodded and whispered back. "Okay... So can you show me mister?" He continued to ask wanting to learn.
"This is boring... Tell me a story." Zeke complained to Nathan while sitting on the mans lap. Aislinn looked over and tried to shush her nephew. The boy pouted and squirmed before squirming his way off Nathan's lap, having spotted something that could be cool. He ran past Aislinn, and with her hands full with Dayla, she couldn't grab him. "Trick. Show me a trick." The boy was suddenly in front of Faust, who he remembered for the magic trick earlier. He wanted to see more. Aislinn sighed and cringed as she leaned forward and whispered to Faust. "You can say no if you want to."
Karina had let her wall crack a bit to admit that she was glad he was there, but the way that Aux reacted make Karina put those walls right back up and leave her with a stoic expression as she just looked at Aux, and listened to the alarm. "Turns out there are guards here. I was starting to think that they didn't exist." Karina commented before sitting up and turning so her hands were visible to Aux. The manacles she wore were dented to the point where Aux could probably guess that they weren't comfortable for Karina. Some of the spots were dented in at the edges, where the most visible damage could be seen from them cutting into her wrists. Karina didn't seem to acknowledge it though as she glanced over her shoulder at Aux. "Just help get these things off so that I can help you." She snapped at him, hoping to get Aux's mind back to the task at hand and not worrying about the alarm. Her father was in the summit right now, and she imagined he would want to deal with her himself. That meant they might have some time to actually do something. Even if it wasn't escaping, they could possibly send some sort of signal to the others. She couldn't do that if her hands were still locked though. Kel mumbled to himself and Aislinn leaned over and scolded him. "Watch your language, there are children around." She told him before turning her attention back to the meeting, smiling when she saw Beuce stand up and talk, asking his questions. She found it interesting, the questions that he was asking, and for the most part agreed with his points. She had been there to fight No Heart herself. She didn't think it would be as easy as these two gentlemen seemed to think it would be. However without being a world leader, she had no right to speak here. At least not until Adrian called for her help, but right now was not the time for him to speak, not with a conversation this heavy at hand.
Karina had not expected Aux to snap in such a way. Given what she had been through that day with her family, Karina found herself instinctively flinching and curling away from Aux again. At any moment Karina expected some form of pain to come. It wasn't that she thought that her collar would shock her, but a part in the back of her mind remembered the beatings. It had been what she expected from her father, but had not come, he hadn't lost his cool to that degree yet. There was a good couple moments after Aux stopped yelling that she stayed away from him, before she realized what was really going on. It was just Aux. Aux got as angry as she sometimes did. It shouldn't surprise her that much, but she had not thought her comment would be taken in such a way. Especially when she tried to keep things light by talking about how she stabbed Scott. Though she supposed that was still a heavy subject for the most part, it just was a bit entertaining to think about. "Calm down Aux. I just...." It was hard Karina realized. She had been rapidly building walls, protecting herself for what she thought was to come. Admitting any feelings was rather difficult. "Aux, I am glad you did." She finally said, looking back towards him. "I think it was a matter of time before I broke completely. I had to watch Kaida's trials, and yours. One more and.... I have never been good at dealing with my anger, and the pain from the collar has been getting to me." She didn't think she would be able to take much more before breaking down and choosing to deal with Scott instead. "Since you have been here talking to me I have felt more... in control I guess. I am grateful for that." Karina told him as she watched him managed to break out of his handcuffs without the collar going off. She didn't think she had the resilience to do what he just did. Her pain tolerance was not that high. "So you think you can get us out of here?" There would be no point in getting off the manacles and bracelet if he didn't. All that would do was alert the guards to a problem. Speaking of that though she was surprised they weren't actively watching the cells. Maybe that would make things a bit more convenient to get out. Once they were out however, she didn't know where they could safely go.
Karina would trust the group more if she could be around the group. If she could talk to them and make the decision with them, but that was not an option. Instead she had to make the choice and trust them to be able to deal with it. When she was locked in her room she was a bit more confident they could get her out than in Maximum Security. That was probably exactly why her father went to such extreme measure. But before Karina could really finish contemplating that thought, Aux said something else that had her moving to look at him more. She still didn't fully sit up yet, she felt like it wasn't worth it, knowing it was likely a matter of time before she got knocked down again by another shock, but she propped herself up the best she could with her hands still secured behind her back. "You purposely got yourself thrown in here?" She asked before sighing. Aux definitely was trying to be a good person. "Idiot, now we are both stuck. If that guy got you the information to where I was, wouldn't you have been more help on the outside, where you could actually talk to people?" She asked, not having high hopes that the two of them could break themselves out of there. Aux also asked about her stabbing her fiancee, and Karina gave off almost what could have been considered a smile. "No he did not cry unfortunately. This dress is far too tight to get a proper swing in, but trust me, I tried." Karina stated before remembering the torn and tattered back of the dress from her fighting and wondered if any of her scars were visible. Though she supposed at this point there had been a few people who had seen them. Kaida, Ananta, anyone who was there first to offer her aid when she saw her father in that illusion. "He did cut off a bit of my hair to keep while I 'made him wait.'" Karina said with clear disgust. "And threatened me back with the same scissors, but at least I know even if he comes back around he won't try and kill me. That is too boring for him, so I have time for the others to come around. I think Scott and my father underestimate my ability to deal with their bull*Kupo*" As she said the last part the collar gave off a slight shock, this one was lighter though, more of a warning to keep her calm than the full blown shocks she had been getting. Aislinn had not known that Luna was engaged, she had honestly thought that Kel might have had some interest in her. "Oh I was not aware. Good for her." Aislinn stated before Nathan reminded them that it was about time for the summit. She watched as he picked up Zeke and put him on his shoulders. Zeke was giggling the entire way, and Aislinn smiled. She sometimes felt bad that her nephew constantly bothered Nathan, but he was so good with the kids and took some stress off all of them, she couldn't help but appreciate it. Aislinn followed Kel and Nathan to the Auditorium, where they say near the back. It was further away than Aislinn would have liked, but she could manage. Technically it was Adrian, not her that was registered as their world leader for the time being, so only he was allowed access to the inner circle, but Aislinn didn't think that would last long. It wasn't that she didn't have faith in her brother-in-law. She really wanted to think he could do this on his own, but organizing... and public speaking were never much his specialty. At least when she was in the city guard she had to deal with enough political stuff that she adjusted, and could figure it out. That was why tucked into her pocket was bullet points of what they should say and how to go about this meeting, just in case she needed them. However for now she gave Adrian a thumbs up as he entered and sat down in her seat, proceeding to take out a jar of baby food to feed Dayla during the meeting. 30/30
Aislinn almost laughed as Nathan spoke to them. "Girlfriend? Hardly, if anything this was one of my missing friends. We were traveling together and him and Luna fell off the ship. I tried to find them with no such luck. If you are looking for a girlfriend for Kel, look more to Luna than me. He is a bit young for my tastes." Aislinn said winking at Nathan as she laughed and took a seat with them, feeling like it wouldn't be too intrusive to do so. She appreciated Aux's attempt to help, but Karina didn't find it as helpful as Aux might have thought. She listened to him talking about his past a bit and all Karina could think about was that she wished her father cared to train her. She wished she didn't have to see her family. "Trust me, I learned that lesson when I lost my keyblade. I found out exactly how far my strength got me. It did next to nothing for me. Vincent died to protect me from a phantom version of my father. I let my father scare me into submission then. But not anymore. I fought back, and not what it got me." Karina took a deep breath, because it was hard to look someone in the eye that you were responsible for getting them into their current situation. "Not only did it get me put in Maximum security... though it might have something to do with me stabbing my supposed fiance with scissors I still from my mom. But my father swore that he would make sure every one of you were punished to the maximum degree. Because I fought, you and Kaida's lives are hell. What am I supposed to do?" Karina was earnestly asking. If Aux said she should marry Scott... well Karina just might if it meant getting her friends to safety. "I am not ready to give up yet, but when must you stop fighting and accept your fate for the sake of others. I want to believe that everyone else will rescue us, but how long will that take? Is it better for me to just marry who my father wants me to and get you guys out?" If her spirit was broken it was more because she couldn't figure out how to deal with things. The shocks caused constant pain, to the point where when they happened she could barely move anymore, but she still always found a way to defy her father. However she worried when it would get too much and bring things to the point where her friends couldn't help them no matter what they tried. She feared she had already crossed that line. 29/30
"Yeah that is the plan." Aislinn confirmed for AJ. She wanted to give him some sort of motivational speech about there being more he can do than he thought, but she was cutting it close on time and didn't want to waste too much more. "I will talk to you guys later okay? I will make sure that Kel gets the notice about Karina." Aislinn confirmed as she grabbed Zeke's hand again and the boy looked up at her. "Auntie, I am hungry." Aislinn let out an exasperated sigh, when the summit started, food wouldn't be an option so she just nodded. "I will find Kel after I get Zeke a snack." She confirmed before walking off with the kids. When Aislinn went to get a snack, she had not expected to run into Nathan. Actually her back was turned ordering the food when Zeke ran off on her. By the time Aislinn turned around Zeke was already bothering his favourite person on the ship. The young boy had run up to Nathan who had sat down to eat with.... "Kel!" Aislinn strolled over towards Kel with a smile on her face. "Sorry Nathan. Is he bothering you? Zeke come here and eat your snack." She tried to tell her nephew as he niece tried to grab out for a piece of the cookie and Aislinn just sighed. "I will get you your food later." She tried to tell the baby knowing that she wouldn't understand as she tried to hand the cookie to Zeke. "I am glad you are safe Kel. I haven't seen you since you and Luna fell overboard on that ship." Aislinn said before remembering what else she had to say. "Oh right, apparently... Faust... I think that was his name, heard something about Karina. He said he heard a guy say she was in the deepest cells or something." Aislinn quickly added on as she switched Dayla to the other hip to ease her arm.
Of course her father didn't address her accusations on the matter of the trails. He was off to do something else that was much more important. As her father walked away, Karina collapsed onto her side. Blood trickled out from under her manacles, where she had been tensing against them as he collar had been shocking her. In her moment of rage she had been able to ignore it, but now it was all that she could think about as a few tears managed to escape. Aux now had seen her in a dress, she figured crying couldn't be much worse as she managed to say, "it hurts, so much." But her words were barely audible as she curled up on her side like she could somehow protect herself from another shock if she curled up enough. "Thanks for trying Aux, but I couldn't even beat him in the elevator on our way down. He had me in restraints like all my fighting was nothing to him. I don't know if I can destroy him." She would have liked to think that she could beat him. For a while now she thought she stood a chance. But seeing how easily her father had been dealing with her, that didn't seem possible. The whole situation was AJ was weird and left Aislinn a bit uncomfortable as she thought about how to answer everything that he through at her. "AJ calm down. Look the guards aren't out to get you, they are here to keep the peace on the ship, that is it." She started by explaining before she held up her hand that had been on Zeke's head to AJ to show a similar bracelet. "But I can't use my keyblade either, it is just a part of being here. Most people you can just take away their weapons and that is enough, but you can't do that with us. No civilian is allowed to walk around here with a weapon, it isn't needed anyways." Aislinn tried to explain, keeping as calm as possible, hoping that if she showed how calm she was, that AJ would follow. AJ then went on to talk about where Kel and Luna were, which was not the same as Faust told her, but it was good to know. She would still have to try and talk to them soon when she found them. The conversation continued and it took a bit of an uncomfortable turn. "AJ, we can't just leave this place. I can't just hop on my glider and go, and I certainly can't just take only my family. I get that you don't trust it, but there are a lot of innocent people here that have no where else to go, and Sanctuary is doing good things for them. If it wasn't for this place, I would have lost my family, the only family I have left. I am helping my brother-in-law organize and lead the people who managed to get off my world before it entirely fell, if I take them and go, then I am leaving all these people behind and I can't do that. And while I don't know of anyone from the worlds you mentioned, that doesn't mean they aren't taking refuge here as well. How can I just pick up and leave that, even if there is something you don't trust here." Aislinn tried to explain, just as Faust showed up and reported what they found. This time she actually had some inkling of who he was talking about, though she didn't know the girl well. Faust had continued to entertain Zeke, while AJ continued to explain. The boy had a huge smile on his face, even though he still hid behind Aislinn a bit. He seemed rather pleased with it. Meanwhile Aislinn was left to think. "Well I can't say I ever really liked General Xares, but the trails, they sound like they might be rigged partly from the outside. Stacking up people against Kaida, which doesn't necessarily come from within. Though she was unlucky to get Karen as a judge. I can see who I can talk to about getting another trail maybe, but don't do anything too irrational. After all, while there might be problems, there is still a lot of good here." Aislinn tried to explain again before looking to Faust who had finished his tricks. "Those were great. Though perhaps you should see if you can track down some of the others and share the news you know. Unfortunately there isn't much I can do to help until after the Summit. Though I will let Kel know if I see him before the meeting." Aislinn told him. 27/30
Karina hated the way that her father spoke about her friends, but then Aux opened his mouth and she decided not to try and defend him. "Piss off Aux." She replied to the dress comment. Of all people to join her, it had to be Aux didn't it? Well he was also probably the only person capable of pissing someone off enough to end up in max security. Aux didn't seem to know when to stop either as he kept talking until her father electrocuted him and then turned to her for a moment. Karina glared at her father as he called her friends trash. "You might be right about this one. He isn't the best person in the world, but don't you dare call the rest of them trash! Most of them are better people than you will ever be. Kel, for example was the first one to offer me a place to go after finding out that home was not an option. Kaida offered me a cloak and a comforting hand when I was at one of my lowest moments. Beuce... Beuce is the best person I have ever met. He is good in a way you could never comprehend. I am actually happy when I am with him. Happy. Do you understand what that means for me? The only trash I know is you!" Karina couldn't help but yell at her father. It took a moment before Karina noticed she wasn't shaking because of rage, but from the electricity that coursed through her system. This wasn't enough however because her was asking Aux about things that he should have no business dealing with. Karina bit her lip and kept her mouth shut while Aux was speaking, but when he was done, and her father looked to her again sneering. "At least he is trying to be better, unlike you." She retorted before continuing. "At least he doesn't rig trials. You requested that judge didn't you? There is also the fact that you locked me up during them. I could have helped. I could have done something to help Kaida and you knew that, didn't you? You knew I last to see Shiro. He was the one who gave me my mark of mastery and returned to my friends. Kaida hadn't been away from us since then to do what they accused her of. Lea disappeared, but not when they claim. He put together a group of people to help against the one called Nequa. He took me with him and taught me that I am not defined by my past. I am not defined by you, but I define myself! He might have been betrayed, but not by Kaida." Karina stated. She didn't know if her father actually knew this, but she knew it was intentional keeping her away from the trials. "And you will never achieve the greatness you dream of. It doesn't exist." As Aislinn walked, she heard her name. Approaching was AJ and Aislinn smiled brighter. It was nice hearing her friends where alright, but actually seeing one was better. "AJ! Good to see you are alive and well. Is Luna and Kel around? They aren't among the ones in prison are they?" Aislinn couldn't help but blurt out her questions as Zeke started to hide a bit behind her, and Aislinn let go of his hand and put a hand on his head instead. "Sorry he is a bit shy when it comes to knew people. "How have you been?" She then asked finally regaining her composure a bit and speaking to him more normally. 26/30
Aislinn nodded back at Faust. "Got it. I will meet you there soon." Aislinn stated before she turned and left the boy to go find Adrian. He was likely to be in a study, even with the kids around him. She would rescue him so that he could finish his preparations. It also made her do something other than look over his shoulder. She had some issues just letting him do his thing, There was a part of her that constantly wanted to help him and give him advice, even when he didn't want it. She knew that she was a bit of a control freak, but at least she was working on it. Soon Aislinn found herself at the study, and scooped Dayla out of her chair. "Come on Zeke, lets leave daddy alone for a bit so that he can work." Adrian gave an appreciative grunt and half wave as Aislinn walked off with the kids to meet back with Faust. Dayla held on her hip, and holding Zeke's hand. Karina was barely conscious through Aux's trial. She listened vaguely, heard another rant, but she was honestly not as invested in Aux as she had been in Kaida's trial. She couldn't afford to let herself get invested in it either though. The trial was a lot shorter than Kaida's too. It didn't take long before yelling from the judge brought her around to consciousness a little more. Karina sat up and looked at the screen to see her father escorting Aux away, then it was silent. The silence seemed to last longer than she would have expected, but it eventually was interrupted by the sounds of footsteps. Karina knew that rhythm of steps, knew exactly who it was. "So are you here to bring that muzzle that you promised?" Karina asked looking in substantially worse shape than when he had thrown her in there to start. She barely registered that Aux was there, but she didn't want to. Not at least until her father was gone. If she showed any signs of being happy to see him, her father would move Aux as far away as he could before she managed to say a word. 25/30
With no more responses coming, Karina tried her best to relax and let the pain finally ease a bit. Between the shocks and her banging her arms against the bar, there hadn't been much chance to let it ease off. That didn't last long however as Karina kept listening to Kaida's trial. It was clearly rigged, as Karina found herself almost appreciating how Kaida replied to that. It meant she probably got in more trouble, but Karina could at least appreciate that Kaida was brave enough to say it. However when Kaida was carted off, Karina looked at the screen and she swore that she saw him smiling at the camera, smiling at her. He knew this was going to be the outcome. The camera quickly switched off of him however and to the prison where Kaida seemed to be off. She couldn't see clearly what it was, but at that point Karina was upset again. Her collar zapped her, but Karina didn't let that stop her simmering rage. She had managed to get through the rest of the trial without getting too upset, but seeing how it effect Kaida. The state she was in now, and the fact that her father had been smiling about it. Karina didn't care about the pain as she threw herself at the cage trying to break out, only to be repelled back and for the collar to go off once more before it stopped. Karina was left on the ground barely able to think straight as she stared at the tv and the jail where Aux was being taken away. 24/30
This entire conversation was weird. First off the Summit wasn't for a little bit, or else she would be there now. Then there was the treason thing that Aislinn couldn't possibly fathom. At least at the end was something about Kel. Aislinn tried to process this one thing at a time. "Alright, so some people are getting ready for the summit, but what do you mean that Kaida is on trail? I get Aux, but Kaida?" Aislinn first questioned, but she had been away long enough she knew that there was not much she could do to help on that front. Instead of trying to deal with that Aislinn thought of the third thing. "Well it is good to know that Kel is safe. I have to pick up my niece and nephew, but if you want company to the infirmary, then I will happily join you after. I would like to see and speak to Kel myself anyways." Aislinn admitted. Perhaps it wasn't the best place to take the kids, but she was sure that Zeke would like to just go for a walk anywhere at this point. 23/30
Karina could only sit and watch as the boy start to move around in his cell. She was almost surprised when he seemed to start to hear something, if the way he stopped indicated anything. It wasn't long before he started tapping again and Karina had to sit and start to try and translate again. She wasn't sure about the first word. While she believed that she was getting the right letters for the most part, but she didn't understand what it meant. The rest of it however she made out for the most part after hearing it a few times. The missing letters were easy enough to fill in to make it make sense. At least this time it would be an easy response, and she figured she would have to be quick before the guards caught on to what they were doing. -.-- . ... (Yes) was all that Karina managed to reply before it was starting to get bothersome to do. Hopefully he managed to get enough information to provide help. Aislinn smiled back at the boy and decided to walk and talk as she started back towards where her brother in law was. "I am Aislinn. I used to travel with the SoS group for a while but I had to come help here with my family." Aislinn explained to the boy before continuing. "Though I can't say I know who this Carbine person is that you speak of. No one by that name or description when I was there. Have you seen Kel or Luna though? Last time I saw them they fell overboard the ship we were traveling on. I have been trying to keep my eye out for any sign of them since, but to no such luck." Aislinn explained to Faust, hoping that he knew who she was talking about. If not, it was likely they never made it back. 22/30
Karina would have remained laying on the floor in a curled up ball, if the tapping on the screen didn't become louder and more irritating. There was still a small corner view of the prison below the main image of the trail. At first Karina had ignored the sound, focusing more on what was going on with Kaida. She wished that she could be there and help, after all she had seen Shiro not that long ago. He was the one that helped send her back to SoS. Her father would never allow her out of here to help the case, not when he already planned to rig the case against her friend. The tapping had become too much to ignore however and Karina forced herself back into a sitting position, trying to see what was causing it, and if there was a way to make it stop. The latter of the two thoughts was likely not possible though. As Karina focused in on the screen, she started to realize that the tapping sound had some rhythm to it. It took a bit, but soon she was realizing what she was hearing, it was Morse code. Once upon a time her father had taught her the code so that she could receive and recite messages to him if he wasn't home and missed something, he never did much care to keep a paper trail. Slowly her mind started tilling in the taps with letters, slowly she started to understand more of what it was saying. She could pick up on some letters at first, then words, though what was sent didn't make too much sense to her. Karina furrowed her brow as she thought of the reply, repeating the taps and dashes in her mind. Send this back. What did he just want someone to reply to the message? He had been talking with her friends, perhaps he was trying to help. Either way she had to do something. Karina looked around her cell desperately trying to figure out what she could do. Given that they were in prison, perhaps the place they were being kept was not too far away. She could at least try and reply with something. Backing up towards the bars on her cell, Karina started to rock back banging her head against the bars, in what seemed like frustration and desperation. This however instead was an attempt to hide what she was really doing, as she banged her manacles against the bar as hard as she could, spelling something out herself. .... . .-.. .--. / .. -. / -- .- -..- / .--. .-. .. ... --- -. (Help, in max prison)
Scout ships, yeah sure. Karina knew that he was lying, but she still wondered how much her friends bought it. While Karina wanted to have faith in them, but given her situation, things were looking rather grim. She couldn't help but think that it was starting to feel hopeless. Her father was taking Kaida to trial and she couldn't help but fear the worst of it. Karina didn't even know if she wanted to watch, but it wasn't like she had much else to do. After her father left the room, the tv flipped over so she could see the trial as they started. Karina didn't realize that it was going to be her father representing Kaida. "I am sorry... I am so sorry." Karina hated that she didn't have enough strength to do what was needed to save her friends. She had been weak. She failed again, but this time it wasn't to stand up to her father. Last time not standing up got Vincent killed. This time Karina tried not to immediately bend to her fathers will, and instead it was going to hurt everyone. Before her father could even do much, the judge was already yelling at him, part of her felt smug that she treated him like that, but the other part worried her about what this meant for Kaida. Of course, it was soon clear that it wouldn't be good for Kaida with this judge. She wondered if her father set this up too. She listened closely to the case, and again Karina couldn't help but let her anger get the better of her. "Kaida would never do that! You don't know wh-OW" Her body jerked and jolted as he collar shocked her again. Karina convulsed, pulling against her manacles, which cut into her wrist more and made it hurt all the more. "Make it stop!" Karina called out desperately, this time not in anger but sheer in pain and anguish. It was both physical and mental at this point. Karina was breaking down to some extent and she didn't want to hear any more of the court case. Even as she caught the fact that her father didn't immediately try and prosecute Kaida. It couldn't go well at this rate and Karina couldn't stop blaming herself for that. The more she blamed herself though, the more upset she got, and thus the more chance she had to get hurt again. She didn't know how much more of this she could take. "Someone help...." She cried quietly wishing Beuce, or anyone really was there. She just didn't want to be alone or with her family anymore. 20/30
Aislinn was about to walk out to find her brother in law, when she heard the boy at the bar say something particular. She raised an eyebrow as she looked over to him momentarily. "Excuse me." Aislinn approached the boy. She did not recognize him from her time with SoS, but that didn't mean that he wasn't a part of them. "Did you say you were with SOS? You mean like with Kaida, Ananta, Beucefilous and all them? If so do you mind answering a few questions for me?" She could take an extra minute or two before getting her niece and nephew, Adrian would be fine for a bit longer. 19/30
