It surprised Karina when someone else sat down and talked to her that wasn't Beuce. She figured everyone else was too busy with other things. The tapping caught her attention of who it was, though it didn't persist as the man started to actually talk to her. Karina looked back half heartedly as she studied the newest member that they were apparently bringing along with them. She didn't think she knew his name, but he remedied that pretty quickly, leaving Karina no choice than to be civil and try to hold a conversation. "That is because we are no military group." Karina started by stating, she wouldn't be here if it was. "As my dad so lovingly put it we are a group of *kupo*up's, misfits, and outcasts that are just doing what we must because what else is there for us. And then there is Luna. I don't know why she hangs around us still, but I suppose we need an anchor." Karina tried to correct the man's thinking as she rubbed her face with her hands, feeling the wear of dealing with her father now and his accusations about all of them. Karina let her words hang in the air for a moment before opening her eyes again. "You can say my world is particular... Well I suppose it is as much my family as anything else. If my father wasn't who he was then I would have never had to learn Morse code." She supposed that she should explain, but Karina found no appeal to doing so. That being said he managed to reach out to her when she was locked away, she supposed she owed him that much. "The man who ran the security, locked up my friends and all that... Well that is my father. I am Karina Xares, the outcast misfit criminal daughter of General Alex Louis Xares. He leads the military on our world... which is about all that the world is. The code was learned because my father didn't trust anything being written down. If there was a transmission and he wasn't there, I was expected to memorize it word for word and then go report to him. Haven't had to do that for a while though." She explained before turning to look back out the window. "Anyways, welcome to the group. There are some good people here, and as long as you don't treat this like a military I am sure you will fit in fine."
Karina couldn't help but sit there and watch as everyone said their goodbyes. Karina knew that not everyone had someone to say goodbye to, but she had a bitter feeling towards those who did. She found their joy or trepidation to leave something worth envying. For the first time in a long time she had seen her family, her brother and it had not gone the way she wanted. She felt like she had to leave, get away from her family. There was no loving goodbyes for her. Instead Karina quickly made her way onto the gummie ship while others finished and sat quietly just watching out the window, waiting to leave. Waiting for the nightmare that had been being on that ship to be over. Karina didn't care about any pitstops or anywhere they were heading next, as long as she was away from her family once again. She didn't need them, she had proved that. She needed her friends and said as much to her father, she just wished it was easier to walk out. Easier to believe that they were all she needed when she saw some of them, including Aux, having tearful goodbyes. Even Steel who left seemed to have his purposes, but here she was... she hated it.
Luna approached after Aislinn finished stating her intentions. Aislinn smiled broadly as she turned to face the young woman, and instantly gave her a big hug. "I am so glad that you are safe.... I was worried about you and Kel both. After everything you confided in us, the last thing I wanted to do was leave you, but I had no choice." Aislinn stated before letting Luna go. "And unfortunately I can't come with you now." Her mind was made up, but Aislinn glanced over at Luna's family, then back to her. "But you all are plenty strong without me. I will take care of things here, and you have to promise to keep everyone in shape there, and to keep your head held high, regardless of circumstances." She didn't know how Luna was doing now with the whole princess of heart thing, but she knew that she was strong. Luna would be able to manage it, and Kel was around to help so she wasn't too worried. There was a difficult battle ahead, but Aislinn had no doubts that Luna would let her light shine through despite them.
While Karina was glad to see Shiro, and still curious about the man who managed to communicate with her, so much was happening that she found herself taking a step back. She needed the time and space to clear her mind, though she did wish that it would come easier. She couldn't help but watch where the captain took her father, couldn't help but wonder what was going on behind those doors. Her father stormed out through the doors containing his disdain as he marched straight out of the auditorium pushing a guard out of the way as he did. That couldn't have been good. Karina couldn't help but smirk slightly as she watched her father, the way he was fuming with anger, enough to break that face of peacefulness and finally let his violence out, at least slightly. She found herself trailing him out, just to see what he would do next, how far he was willing to go. He stormed to the nearest elevator and pressed the UP key. He slowed down his breathing until he returned to his level headed state. His head edged to the left. "I can actually hear you staring." He bluntly replied. "I suppose you must be having a lot of gratification. Best to get your vindication now. Seeing as how you'll never get any from me." "You can hear me staring, that is impressive. You really must have messed up then." Karina stated bluntly as she watched her father from a distance, slowly gauging his movements, preparing for any movement towards her. "I wonder what you will do now, that control has slipped from your hands once more." She mused, but not in a joyful voice, but one of almost concern. "Nothing you need to concern yourself with. I lost access to a powerful resource today. But as any tactician does, I adapt and move on. Whatever is necessary... is what I'll do." The elevator door parted as it arrived. He turned to his daughter. "You're more trouble than you're worth. Too stubborn for your own good... i release you." His dismissal of her was very cold and sudden. "So go off on your little escapade and fight to your hearts content. But just remember that any good soldier knows that a war has to end. And the winners will write the story. I wonder if they'll mention you," he callously replied. "Well that is the difference isn't it?" Karina couldn't care less of her fathers dismissal. It meant nothing to her that he gave up on her, it was actually more of a relief. "I don't care if I will be mentioned. It doesn't matter, but you.... it will kill you not to be mentioned in some form, won't it? You have never been good at taking no for an answer." She stated taking a step forward before the doors could close. "But know this, if you are mentioned, it will not be in favour. You will not be the hero of the story, those roles go to people like my friends. They are some of the best people I have ever met. And though I may have lied about my relationships, I will tell you this, I like Beuce, nothing you can do will change that. As long as that is true, I would not have, and will never bend to your will and marry someone else." Because no one else could make her feel as cared for as he did and she didn't know why, but she wanted her father to know that. "Ahh yes... your 'friends.' I was able to collect enough information on your group to surmise they will only take your so far. Lets look at your heroes shall we?.." he tried to recall in his head the characters from her group. "Kaida is a member of the order, but holds little authority from it. Faust is a wandering thespian of tricks. Luna is a princess that will make you a constant target. Ananta and Andrew are part of their individual extinct race, and their observed interactions confirm as such. Castur is a care-for-nothing renegade. Aux is reformed criminal at best and Beuce... is a king without a kingdom. It only makes sense you be his queen. That way you can rule over nothing. Just as you always have." "As unspectacular as they may be, their paths give them all the more reason to fight. We both know I am no queen, so Queen over nothing suites me quite well, lets me have the freedom to live my life how I want to live it." She stated before turning away from her father to return to the group so she could do just that, live her life the way she wanted to, and she could do it with her head held high. It felt good. Well that wasn't much help from Shiro, but Aislinn found herself looking at the group, looking at Xares as he marched out, watching as Aux spoke with his sister. "I think... I think I need to stay. By the looks of things this ship is going to need some help, and the guard might need a bit of a... woman's touch." If Xares was gone then someone would need to take over leading things, and while Aislinn didn't think she could just walk up and get the role, but she could work towards change that it would need. She could leave leading their world faction to Adrian and could focus on this one thing. "By the time you come back, I will make sure things will be better." She looked to the group and vowed. She needed to stay with her family, but this would give her purpose on the ship.
Arriving at the police station Jaycob sat at his computer starting to rapidly type things into the computer trying to figure out if there was any information on friends of Rex. Perhaps between the information they had received during their briefing, and what was on file they could track down someone to at the very least start questioning. The entire thing though was vague and just a shot in the dark, even Jaycob with his vast computer skills didn't know if he could do anything here. That being said he wasn't about to express that to anyone else, instead he put on a cocky smile and cracked his knuckles. "Just watch this." He stated confidently before suddenly alarms started to go off. "There is a shoot out. I should be there in case it escalates too much. Lets go. We can get back to this later." Jaycob stated to the others as he made sure that he had his own gun and badge on him before setting up a scan and running off towards his car, his police car instead of his casual one. "Perhaps some action will help clear our minds a bit, look at things from a better angle." Jaycob continued to suggest as he ran to the door.
Well with her brother now escorting her mother away, Karina was left a bit shaken. She didn't really know what to do with X-ray, but she didn't think he was worth killing, at least not yet. Other than that there was a bit of a void of silence, despite the chatter of children in the background. She felt bad for her mother, but more than that she felt like any hope she had left for her family was gone. She still had some hope for her brother, even as it died over time. Now however it was squashed out. Despite the loud, familiar voice, when Shiro burst into the room, she barely looked up. "Good, take this guy. He is part of the Red Society. I am sick of holding him down." She stated eyeing Kel a bit. She didn't fully know what happened, but was glad that he was here, it was just someone else to fill the void. They had to go, they had to do something. "Lets find the others." She quickly stated before looking back to Iso. "I trust you can take care of yourself from here. We should go." With that Karina stood up, leaving X-ray for Shiro to handle. She just started to walk, not actually knowing where anything on this ship was, she just needed to clear her head. Get to the elevator and then keep walking until they found the others, which she supposed would also be somewhere in the prison, but Karina had heard enough to know that there was some sort of central meeting place. Perhaps there. If not she could only hope the others would guide her, but she couldn't sit around and think any longer. Being filled in on what happened when they regrouped was helpful, but unsettling at the same time. Karina couldn't help but keep eyeing Kel, seeming a bit put off by what she had heard. It might have been stated that it wasn't his fault, but she couldn't help but still feel a bit hurt by it. She didn't like the pain she was feeling, not by any of it, so Karina found herself falling into silence, keeping a bit of distance until she could shut off her emotions again. They didn't need to see what was going on in her mind, no one did. Even as they were called to a more private meeting she couldn't be bothered to speak, that was until Karen spoke. "You are a emotional bias *Kupo*. Nothing about your trails were fair and I don't care what you say, I heard it all, I was also kept from testifying on behalf of some of those you judged even though I could tell you what you all know now. Your systems are corrupt, and it all comes down to him." Karina stared down her father, as he glared at her back before getting escorted away to be spoken to alone. She didn't care what was going on. She didn't care if he lost his job or didn't get punished at all, as long as he was off her back. Thankfully she had a chance to change before this meeting, so at least she wasn't staring him down in that stupid pink dress anymore. For once she didn't feel small around her father, maybe that was because her friends were around her, or Beuce. Maybe it was because her father seemed to be the one in trouble for once. She did not know, but she it was a slight weight off her shoulder, knowing that her fathers presence wasn't about to crush down on her and make her break more. "Since your family affairs affect our group." Aislinn replied plainly before running after AJ to the docking bay, where they had apparently just missed Kel and Shiro, and instead tried to convince AJ to return to the summit area where she figured the others would eventually show up when they finished their search. There was no use in running around on a wild goose chase, and chance running into a greater group of The Red Society that they might not be able to handle themselves. Chances were they were gone anyways. By returning to the summit room, Aislinn found Zeke standing not with Nathan, but Iso. She knew the woman less well than Nathan, but enough to approach her and thank her for taking care of her nephew. Aislinn ducked out of the meeting for a few minutes to make sure to get Zeke to his parents, making sure to run back before Adrian could give her too long of a lecture about what happened. She would have to deal with that at some point, but not yet. For now she had a meeting to attend, which quickly lead to a second one. Having not been with the SoS group for a while, Ailsinn didn't bother stepping into the conversations much. That being said, when the captain asked if anyone was willing to stay and help fix the chaos, and Aislinn looked conflicted as she looked to the rest of the SoS group. "Well I came this far to find you guys, make sure you are alright. Do you think you have things handled on your own. Things might be a mess here right now, but I still trust this ship and its intent. I trust it with my family." Aislinn spoke, but she did glance back to the door, trying to hide the bit of worry on her face. "With that being said, if you need more help, I am willing to join." She left the other part unsaid, but Aislinn was sure that they understood where the other part of her heart lay.
"Clearly you don't understand our laws, so you have no right to speak." Eric stared down Ananta quickly as he looked back to his mother who simply looked devastated as she was told all her hard work looked bad. "I-it is just ripped and torn. That is all. She looked beautiful when it was clean and her hair was done up." Karina's mother tried to defend her creation to the best of her ability, though she still seemed intimidated by what was happening. Karina in the meantime was more focused on the conversation that was going on after with Ananta and the woman. She didn't have a lot to say about it, except one thing. "Oh it is the same Aux, I can tell you that much. We were told our mothers were in prison and he flipped out. I have never seen him that upset before." Karina admitted as she looked to Iso, a little surprised what she had said about Aux. "He probably didn't come home because he was too busy helping us save the worlds, kinda got caught up in that." There was no use telling the other part, especially when they had another problem on their hands, being her own family. "Beuce, you can let them out if you wish." She added with a wave of her hand. She didn't care if her brother walked away, she wanted her mother out of there. She also wanted to get Iso to Aux and the kids somewhere safe. From there she didn't know what else she should do. Probably keep Beuce from killing her family too, they were asking for it, but she didn't know if she could settle with the idea of her brother dying, even if he wasn't who she remembered him being.
Eric stepped in front of his mother, fully pushing himself in front of her in a protective stance as he narrowed his own gaze. The way that he was being called out was not something that Eric would so easily stand for as he stood his ground. "You don't think we know there is something bigger going on? You think we left our real army behind for this motley crew of refugees that pretend to know what they are doing. Staying our hands for the sake of good relations. Where we are from you lot wouldn't have been simply locked up. That isn't a punishment. If you want to know how we deal with criminals, ask Karina, she could tell you all about it. Yet she is one of the lucky ones. She has been offered a second chance, yet you stand here and tell me that I am in the wrong. What is one girl when you could have an entire well trained and disciplined army backing you up. Her fiance alone... her real fiance, knows how to skillfully wield any weapon you give him. It would be a matter of weeks to master that one too I am sure." He stated as he stared at Karina's keyblade which he already told her to hand over to Scott. Meanwhile Karina hated listening to Eric talk. Hated that she was here pinning X-ray down while Beuce fought her battles. She was grateful that he was there to do that for her, but she would have rather dealt with it herself. "You really are blind aren't you Eric. Once I really thought you would always have my back, but you are just as stupid as the rest of them. That is not how any of this works. Besides, many of these battles can't be fought by armies. There is only a few of them, your men would end up hurting each other more than the enemy. Though I am sure you could come up with a cleaver solution for that one too, it won't be foolproof." She stated her tone cold, cut off from feeling anything she wanted to feel. Now was not the time, emotions could only lead to mistakes. "Whatever, let us out and we will be out of your hair, but I make no promises for dad or Scott, I am sure they won't be done with you so easily." Eric stated as his mother peered out. There was a sad look on her face as she looked at Karina. "I was so looking forward to the wedding. You would make such a beautiful bride." That was what hurt Karina the most. Her mother was a bystander in all of this and seemed the only thing she really understood through it all was that there would be no more wedding that it sounded like she had put a lot of work into. Her mother wasn't stupid by any means. She did know more than that, but there was certainly an extent of not wanting to speak too much when she shouldn't. She wouldn't overstep her bounds and that was the best she could do to get her disappointment across.
As thankful as Karina was that Beuce had stepped in, she really wished sh would have been the one to put an end to Luther, but she couldn't be choosy. With X-ray trying to attack her from behind, she couldn't fight on two fronts, and now she was already engaged in this one. Karina rolled her shoulders as she let the aura of flame that encompassed her blade, encompass her entirely. She then turned and struck at X-ray, who seemed to be deflecting it with his skateboard. She didn't let that stop her however, even as she heard her mother call out for her in the background, no doubt reprimanding her for fighting. It didn't matter though, it wasn't going to stop it. Even if she listened, even if she put down her keyblade right now, their enemy would just use that against her. There was no choice to fight, and frankly, Karina was itching for one. Fire flared up around as her blade clashed with X-ray's as he summoned his keyblade to him. He didn't seem to be putting much care into the fight though, mostly going through the motions, putting just enough effort in to keep her on her feet. That being said Karina had had a bad day and she found herself losing herself in the fight. Before she knew it, X-ray was on the ground and seeming to be giving up. Karina took no time in moving towards him and pinning him to the ground as she looked over her shoulder where she saw Beuce just finishing off Luther. "Good, the traitor deserved that, I just wish I could have done it myself." Karina mumbled as she looked to Beuce, only to catch the rambling voice of her mother, which made Karina feel a little bit bad. "Your father will be here for us soon. Just let go, stop fighting. You ruined your dress more. I am sure Scott will forgive you. We will get you cleaned up and get you out of here. You don't need to fight anymore. You can be a good wife." Her mother must have been in shock from witnessing all the fighting so closely. It surprised Karina a bit, but she supposed her mother had seen abuse but never the outright fighting and murder of war like this. Her brother on the other hand... It was Eric who just stared at her with a look that sent chills to her bones. "Don't be a hypocrite Karina. You call him a traitor, but have you looked in a mirror. Father said that you would marry Scott, but looking at you now, I doubt that is your plan. You would rather betray your family, your world, than marry him, and for what? Tell me Karina what do you gain from playing hero? The moment Dad comes up with another plan of how to secure the power to keep our world going strong for the next generation, he will kill you and you know that. We found you once, we will find you again. You are powerful, but not that powerful." Eric started to lecture her, clearly not caring who was around. "Eric it is okay, it will be fine. I will talk to your father, I will make sure things are still prepared. The wedding can still happen." Karina's mom seemed to calm down a bit now, but Eric didn't listen as he stepped in front of his mother, putting a hand out in a defensive position. "Don't be stupid, she isn't coming back. Look at her. Karina and Scott could have become the most powerful family on our world. They could have kept fathers legacy going strong, but she has no discipline. No matter how much you beg, without that it will get you no where. And apparently no amount of discipline will fix her." He looked pointedly at Karina's back as she kept herself focused on the man she was pinning to the ground. "Kaida.... Come take this kid so I can deal with my family." Karina didn't actually know what she was going to do. She wasn't going to hurt her mother, but the way her brother spoke... She couldn't ignore how it cut into her soul. Before he had been insistent, she thought he wanted her home and could live with that, at least to some extent. Listening to Eric talk now, she could tell he had given up on her. If she released them, he might turn around and try and subdue her. While she knew that she could overpower Eric easily, it still would create problems. He would at least make sure to lead their father right to her again, which she knew from past experiences, it could only go well.
There you are, pins have been added.
Well so much for that plan of battle, at least it meant time to find Zeke. That was if AJ didn't immediately run off the moment they did not stating where he was going or knowing why. He just went somewhere and Ailsinn knew she needed to make sure that he wasn't going to get himself killed. First however there was the issue of those in the cell. As much as she didn't like General Xares, she did want to help Nathan. Aislinn pointed her keyblade at the lock as she heard it click. Looking to the two men, she didn't give Xares time to say something stupid before she started to bark commands herself. "General Xares, get control over this ship, we will deal with those guys. The ship in in chaos right now and if you can't even do that, then what good are you. Nathan, we are going to get you your son back, I promise you that, but if I am to do that, then I need you to do something for me." She started as her eyes shifted to where AJ ran. She couldn't completely abandon Zeke, not now, but there was also a lot on the line. "Nathan, Zeke was taken too. I assume that he might be in a cell like you were, but I don't know. I need you to find him and get him back to Sarah, please." She felt like she was begging but she wasn't. She looked over her shoulder once more. "I better go check up AJ and see if we can find Kel." She said as she started to walk away, but looked over her shoulder once more. "Don't mess this up Xares, keep everyone safe."
Well it seemed that they found who they are looking for, or at least some of them. At least Karina recognized her own mother and brother, but not the other three that were in the cell across. Her father wasn't there, so at least that was good. Karina's mom looked up at her in what seemed to be distress and sadness. "Your dress..." Her mother started to say before a portal opened and she shut up. Karina looked over and suddenly summoned her keyblade. This wasn't good. "Why are you here now? I though you guys were called away, or was that right just reserved for Vanitas after he tried to taunt us." Karina said in a sarcastic tone. She glanced to her mother and brother quickly. As much as she claimed to not care that they were locked up, if they were harmed, she would be more upset than she wanted to admit. Her mother didn't deserve most of the crap that she had got, especially living with her father. She wasn't worried about her mother being in prison, but with the Red Society here, she was a bit worried. Not to mention that there was not one, but two children in the prisons on the other side. Karina started to step back away from the prisoners and she continued staring the two down. "If it is a fight you want, come get me." She taunted trying to move them back from the prisoners a bit. Well the escaped prisoners would be something that she had to deal with later, but for now they had bigger issues on their hands. As Aislinn continued on she discovered that Nathan was in a cell... but Zeke wasn't with him. If he wasn't here, then where was he? Perhaps in another cell. Her ears just rung at the though of that, everything seemed to be blocked out for a moment, even as the Red Society appeared. There was no just running now, she knew that, they had to fight, but all she could think of was Zeke. General Xares called out for her to let him out and that is when she snapped. Holding her keyblade up to those that threatened them, she didn't take her eyes off her target as she spoke. "We don't need you. Why don't you do something more useful and take care of your daughter, who is apparently still on the ship. Some security you have... my nephew is missing no thanks to you!" Aislinn snapped at Xares. There was a mix between what he told her when she offered to join the security, and the rest was just frustration at his own failures on multiple levels. Aislinn then launched herself at the larger of the two targets, trying to strike him down first, hoping to utilize the fact that he seemed... slow in the head.
It felt... good, to have someone comfort her. Karina had always pushed those away when they tried to be there for her, not liking the attention or anything, but at this moment, it felt good. It was nice to know, even if she thought they should blame her for their struggles that they didn't. How much of what happened was, or wasn't her fault didn't seem to matter anymore and she decided it was not worth while to hang onto. Karina let out a long sigh before looking at Kaida first. "Thanks. I don't know what might have changed it I played along, but I want to believe that you are right." She seemed to be trying to calm down as she took another deep breath in and forced a smile on her face. "Also he deserved it. Besides it didn't kill him. This dress was too restrictive to get a proper stab in." She exclaimed before looking towards Beuce. "I am free now, he won't get what he wants. My father wants power and control. He wanted me back just to get rid of me himself. As long as he can't control me it will drive him insane. In fact this entire situation is probably driving him up the wall, losing all control to the Red Society." Karina could only imagine the rage of her father, and hoped that he wasn't locked up with her mother in the prison. Though the seriousness of the situation seemed to fail her a bit when Beuce suggested that they kept going. Karina's face began turning red as she stammered for words for a moment. "I- um... What?" Karina stammered before trying to put it off as nothing. "Uh... never mind." She tried to leave it.
Beuce had went ahead and unlocked the manacles. Small white lines remained on her skin where the healing had tried to happen around the metal that was cutting into her skin, but aside from that and the tears in her dress, it was all that remained as evidence of her time in that cell. Karina rubbed her wrist absentmindedly while she listened to AJ. "While you aren't necessarily wrong AJ, the best place to start is here in the prison block. Vanitas told Aux and I that he put our mothers in prison somewhere, and unless you want to face the wrath of Aux when he gets his wits about him. You should have seen how he lost it when he found out." Karina was clearly more concerned about Aux and his mother than anyone else. "And if they did that to us, I am sure if any of you have people you care about on the ship, they might be in the same situation. So we either rescue those taken and then find the red society, or we find the red society where the prisoners are. Either would help." She pointed out again as a starting point. If this didn't pan out, then they could go for AJ's thoughts on where to look. After that they split up to find an empty cell block beyond. As they strolled through to continue to the next one, Karina found the guilt eating away at her every time she glanced over at Kaida or Beuce. She felt like she wronged them both, and as much as she wanted to hide behind the wall she had created in her heart, there was a part of her that realized how much she had been longing to connect with her friends again after her father separated her from them. She would just be hurting herself if she didn't face it. She would let herself be the same barrier her father had been for her, then she would have no one to blame but herself. "Look... I have to... um, apologize for everything that has happened to you guys on this ship." She started, slowing her step a bit as Karina looked for how to say such things. Apologizing wasn't something that she normally did and thus the words felt strange coming out of her mouth. "When I woke up and found my father waiting for me, I lied to him. He wanted me to marry a man from our world for his own military gain. Where I am from, the only way that he doesn't essentially own my life, is if I belonged to another man... through marriage. Out of panic I told him I was engaged... to Beuce...." Karina hated that she could feel herself blush. Hated it enough that she found her fist clenching at her side. "My father claimed that he was going to tell you that I somehow died. I assume that he couldn't come up with a logical excuse, so instead he told you I ran away and made sure to get a recording saying you guys would leave to looking for me to him." She knew at this point it didn't seem like she messed up too much, but Karina dreaded the part that came next. "He blackmailed me into getting engaged to this man. He told me he would make sure those of you in jail would suffer if I didn't accept the proposal. I tried. I really did. I let my mother dress me in this crap, do my hair and everything. I stood obediently as my father presented Scott to me, but I couldn't do it. When he started talking about life back home, about kids and being his happy little wife, I snapped." Karina admitted, seeming to be on the verge of snapping again. "I had stolen a pair of scissors from my mom and stabbed Scott in the neck, and when my father grabbed me I tried to fight against him as hard as I could. He threw me in max security and vowed you would get the worst punishment possible. I am sure that the reason you and Aux had to deal with that judge is because he called for it just to spite me. He made me watch! I know you didn't do what they accused you of because I was the last to see Lea and Shiro, if they are truly dead, then it is my fault, not yours, and certainly not by my hand!" There was some trepidation as Karina snapped, like she was expecting something to come. She hadn't so quickly forgotten about the collar that had kept her barely functioning. "So if you see my father feel free to punch him." She finished, but really she meant herself. She understood if they were mad at her and would want to punch her for this, expected it really. As Aislinn ran ahead, she found herself in a predicament. Aislinn ran her fingers through her hair trying to decide what to do. She wanted to keep looking to find Zeke, but there was a worry about these people getting beyond the prison block and making things worse for those who were hiding from all the chaos as it was. Aislinn looked to the prisoners and then back to the group. Aislinn looked to all of them before she slammed her keyblade into the ground as she transformed into pure white armor, letting the power from that transformation radiate off of her. "Calm down and get back into your cells. The guards might be out right now, but don't think we don't have the power to keep you in check. If you create any issues for those on the ship then I will have to stop you." She tried to threaten the prisoners putting on an air of power. One of few things that she figured might have a chance of working against this many prisoners without having to start a fight with them, which she really wanted to avoid.
Karina was surprise when Beuce came straight over to her and hugged her. What surprised her more is how much Karina realized that she needed it. She thought that she had built a pretty strong wall around her emotions through all of this, but the moment Beuce hugged her they broke down. As Beuce held her, she gripped him back, seeming to not be willing to let him go just yet. "I was scared you wouldn't come... that my father won." She whispered back so only Beuce could hear. Karina didn't need anyone else hearing and judging her for such things, but after the recording her father had played for her before, Karina couldn't help but have some minor doubts about it all. This moment managed to wipe them all out though. Soon however they had other matters to handle and he suggested splitting off into two groups. Karina stepped back and just nodded, trying not to look too flustered at what just happened with Beuce. After the talk back in Olympus, followed by whatever her father might have said to him after she said that they were engaged, she didn't know if he would want anything to do with her. "Sounds good to me, though before we go too far." Karina held out her wrists with the manacles on them, the chains just dangling loose. At least now, thanks to AJ the pain had eased a bit, the best it could while parts were still actively cutting into her skin. That being said all the small cuts from punching the mirror and the bruising from her father had started to heal over. Now all she needed was to get the metal out of her skin and she would be as close to fighting shape as she could get while wearing the ungodly outfit her mother put her in. "Can someone please unlock these. It was the one thing that Aux couldn't do with brute strength, even though he had his keyblade in hand." She stated still a little annoyed that he never managed to pick up on the fact that she wanted the manacles off first and foremost, yet it was the one thing he never helped her with. Aislinn arrived down to the prison a few minutes after the rest, just in time to see Aux being dragged away and Beuce starting to formulate a plan. "Alright the faster we find them the better." There was an annoyance in Aislinn's voice that she didn't normally carry. It was clear that she was still annoyed about everything, but the way that she was already walking gave the impression that she wanted to move fast. She didn't have the patience to stand around and talk right now. The longer she took to find Zeke, the worse it could be for him, and the more she would worry about what was happening with her sister. Adrian looked ready to bite her head off when she shoved Dayla into his arms and said she had to find Zeke. Apparently she was to be everyone protecting everyone at all times if he had it his way. He wasn't much of a fighter, wouldn't have done any better. He might have actually lost Dayla too if he was in her position. He had no right to judge her, and yet still his words cycled through her head, pushing her forward with less regard for those around her than she would usually have.
Stubborn prick. Karina knew full well that Aux wasn't as fine as he was trying to lead her to believe, but she decided to think of something else. "And I don't think you understand exactly what he can be like when he is truly angry. I am pretty sure so far he has been trying to save face, but now that things have gone to hell, his fury can best mine." She stated, phantom pains starting to ache in her back as Karina closed her eyes for a moment to just breath and try to forget it. "I am not saying I can't take him, but given that neither of us are in prime fighting state, it is better that you can at least tell the others what happened. He is in charge of this whole area, I would be surprised if he didn't show up." Because they were all bound to escape and that was another bit of control her father would be losing, and it would drive him insane. It was the same reason that he wanted to drag her back home. It wasn't because she meant anything besides the fact it was one thing that he couldn't control. The conversation didn't mean that much when the elevator opened and they were standing in front of two guards and their friends. There was no sign of her mother or anyone that could be Aux's mom anywhere here. Though from the other elevator stood her friends. Karina tried not to show the tremendous amount of relief that she was feeling as she stood there, looking towards Beuce and the others. She also became very acutely aware of the state she was in. Wearing a torn, dirty pink dress, with the back completely open by this point. The shackles around her wrists still remained, dented in as blood slowly leaked from under them, signs of the damage that may be beneath. Her hair was still half up, but some strands were loose, including one that was far too short and cut at a weird angle, not to mention the slightly swollen cheek from the slap her father gave her. Karina was just glad that Aux had managed to get the collar off, but she still wondered if that had managed to leave a mark as well. Before much could be said between the group, the guards managed to make Aux all dopey, and some other random guys claiming to be friends of Luna's decided that he needed to go to the med bay. Karina could only imagine how bad of an idea that was, given that they were prisoners. That being said, maybe they would at least fix him up a bit before locking him away again, if they were lucky. Karina's eyes then darted to Kaida and she instantly felt guilty. "Come on. lets get you all out of here. Apparently Vanitas and friends locked up some other people too we should probably find, then I will kick my fathers butt for rigging you damn trials. It is the least I can do for messing them up in the first place." Karina wanted to apologize, but she didn't want to touch that side of her right now. She had just been learning to let it out, but while they were still here, she couldn't sort through it again. Any emotions she showed outside anger would be used against her. It was because she cared for Beuce that her father made sure they wouldn't look for her. It was because she finally decided to be friends with Kaida and Aux that her father decided to torment them to get back at her. Any more connections that she showed would continue to be used against her, and not just by her father. No she had dealt with Vanitas enough to know he would use that to his advantage as well, and just because he left with that remnant of his, didn't necessarily mean that he was done. They would see him again soon, she was sure of it.
"You better have damn good reasoning then. I have been here far longer than you have. I have met with world leaders and council members alike with my brother-in-law to help with his role as world leader. Whatever you see here might not run as deep as you seem to think. I ask you to just think before you so brazenly decide to do something that would effect so many lives. And if it comes down to it, I am not afraid to stand against you if it means that my family and so many others will be safe." She would hear Beuce out, later of course, but she was annoyed with him, and on edge about the entire situation. Things were falling apart fast and Zeke was already in danger. She wouldn't stand for anything that would put him, or Dayla, or their parents in any more danger. "Now if you excuse me, I am going to get Dayla back to her parents and try and explain what happened to her son, then I will help you find the rest of the group, followed by my family and anyone else's that may have been taken as well." With that Aislinn turned with a huff and started walking away, her mind running with how the hell she was to explain to Sarah what happened to her son. It was a conversation that Aislinn wasn't looking forward to.
At first Aislinn was on the same page as Beuce, nodding to him. "Good to see that you guys aren't dead either. I was surprised to see you guys show up here." She mentioned trying to calm herself enough to seem cheerful and not in a slight panic. Beuce then continued to mention his last part of the plan, and that is when Aislinn turned serious. "You will not be doing such things if I have anything to say about it. Just how exactly do you plan to move thousands of people? Where do you think you will move them to? What makes you think this entire ship is evil? From what I have heard you have had dealing with what? General Xares? As far as I am aware, that Sho guy has nothing to do with this ship, neither do any of those who just attacked us. And Xare's is a sexist prick, that is for sure, but he is one man, he does not decide the fate of this entire ship. It certainly isn't as rotten as you seem to think it is, because guess what? My entire family would be dead if it wasn't for them! When I was sucked into the realm of darkness I had managed to by time but not stop the heartless. No they still invaded, but this ship swooped in and saved those who weren't fighting. That is hundreds of widows and children now on this ship from Ashen Rose. And we aren't the only ones." Aislinn stated her point very strongly as she spoke. "We need to find the others, save Kel, save his father and my god damn nephew, and then we will figure out what to do with Xares and maybe get you more acquainted with those running the ship, then you can see what to do. Certainly not jump straight to blowing the whole damn thing up. Blowing up thousands of peoples livelihoods."
Karina goes into level 2 power aura and attacks
Aislinn couldn't believe what she was witnessing. She wanted to yell at Kel to fight, but it was already too late. "Kel! Leave him alone!" Aislinn tried to reach out and grab for Kel but it was too late, he was dragged away and they were left standing their, all their enemies retreating. Aislinn stood still almost in shock as she watched the scene unfold, AJ working on freeing her in the meantime. The sound of the crying baby was drowned out as Aislinn's mind just turned. "They took Zeke, then Kel.... I won't let them get away with this." Aislinn said as she started to look towards the others in the room, spread out as they were. "We need to find out where they are, we need to get them, just... how. Do we know where they would take them?" Aislinn kept talking out loud as she walked away a bit with her legs now free, closer to where Beuce, Luna and Ananta were, so they could all participate in the conversation at hand. Well that was anticlimactic. While Karina was grateful that she didn't have to actually fight Vanitas, she was left unsettled and unhappy with how it ended. All Aux even got was his butt handed to him. Karina didn't give Aux a chance to say no as she stepped a little closer to him and grabbed his arm, wrapping it around her shoulder so that she could help carry him. "I don't care if you think you can walk on your own, this is faster." Karina stated to Aux keeping her voice even and cold towards him. She was trying to be helpful but didn't want it to come off as being too nice, not with Aux, not right now. "We need to find your mother as well. Guess we will just search the prisons until we find something." She knew that some of her friends were locked away, but Karina couldn't say where, meaning this was all a game of guessing as they searched bother for their friends and Aux's mother. His mother, not hers, because she was not as worried about finding her own mother, though if she did then of course Karina would free her. The only worry Karina had was if she was locked with her father. At this point she was sure her father would be frustrated enough that he wouldn't be able to keep his calm demeanor. If he was with her mother, or if she ran into him, it wouldn't be good. "I don't know what is going on on this ship anymore, but if we run into my father, leave him to me and run. Get the others." She instructed as they got closer to the elevator to bring them out of the deepest floors of the dungeon and hopefully to where the rest of the people they were looking for would be.
