Oh shiiii. I was just trying to make him feel more comfortable. >.>
Quite a few people here are hetero. Not seeing why you are asking it. Of course, adding 'vanilla' kind of makes a person think you are also very boring and/or don't take care of yourself? Give yourself a bit more credit. xD
Rep is something members give to each other and we don't, as staff, want to use rep in such a manner. It could be considered favoritism and last thing I'd want is for people to feel that they were skipped etc, because there are many members on the boards. Sorry, but this one can't happen.
Sounds fair, man.
You cannot play! Nice. xD
I take the blame for so much. *hangs head*
I do agree that in time hopefully people will learn to treat homosexuality and heterosexuality similar. That in the end, they are both 'sex' and so we need to teach kids about safe sex, regardless of if it's same gender relations or opposite gender relations. The less people are informed, the worse things seem to get. Of course, this is going to take a while for religious zealots to get used to. Some zealots really don't want ANY sex education classes taught at all and sex in itself, whether straight or gay, is all taboo. These people are constantly screaming that abstinence is where it's at and you don't have sex till you're married and they toss out silly promise rings so that fathers hold daughters in bondage. Good stuff. When dealing with people like this, you aren't going to be able to explain homosexuality on even ground because to these sorts of people, sex is bad unless you are married. There are quite a few people that believe in it too. Also, since these people don't believe that homosexuals should have rights to be married, because reproduction is what sex is about to them... yeah, that just makes it worse. The people you'd have to win over would have to also learn that sex in itself is not a taboo, and that's a hard war to fight but I believe in time it can be won. What's ironic is that nearly any person I've known who was a 'preacher's son or daughter' turned out to be rather promiscuous, though of course, I hear about the 'good ones' too. In the end, the thing we can assuredly do is teach our own children as we have them and they come of age, that homosexuality and sexuality in itself aren't bad. There are aspects that are, concerning not hurting others emotionally, protection versus stds and pregnancy, and age issues, but these also can be instilled in children as they age. The more the younger generations teach and pass on to others, the more accepted things become.
I've always thought Mr Pumpkin's customization ruxed. Not sure how I was even nominated other than for the one picture there. Rooting for ya, pumpkin!
Well, that's not very fun. You're supposed to protest even just a little.
Nope. Quite dull here. xD I blame you as you left.
That's good then. xD
I could add a thread in the rules section since in principle, this isn't a bad idea, but it seems a terrible waste for staff to add a thread in each area of the board so that people know where to post things. After all, the rules in each area generally are descriptive and have that function as well as pointing out other things for members to know. As pointed out by Misty and Wolfie, if people won't read the rules in the first place, additional pointless stickies are unnecessary. Also, we really don't want to have extra stickies if we don't need to. So yeah, I'll work on that and post something up in the rules section but it wouldn't be right in each section of the board to have another sticky when rules there already cover the issue.
It started from nature, the multi-verse. We can't explain it all but the evidence points to nature isn't perfect but it is powerful and we are still evolving. It won't stop even if we humans decide to wipe ourselves out or if an asteroid strikes our happy planet. We use science to study and examine it. Science isn't a belief. It is a methodology or series of formulas and approaches. God/Yahweh is an imaginary friend to help people cope with what they don't understand and won't even try to study. Religion is a crutch and has some cool stories in it. Nature is what kicked it all off. Neither science nor Yahweh did as one is a method of researching things and the other is an imagination gone wild that is used to control other humans.
Hey, man. Sup? Cool to see you around again. Nothing that exciting to report though. xD
Can you give me the link or section? If it won't post at all, if you want to, send me the post in PM and I can look it over for script error....
No problem. If you need help with codes, they have plenty in the coding section here.
Yeah, beginning driving makes you realize how fast you actually are going. You get used to it though. Another few days or a week, and it will...
No, not really. I enjoy some codes but don't really do it.
It can help so you are defensive and mindful on what the other drivers do. Parking lot driving is good and also back roads are pretty helpful....
Good luck with the driving. It is fun and you'll get used to it in no time. :) Remember, it's like dealing with snakes. The other people are...
