The 3 upcoming games, Birth by Sleep, 358/2 Days, and Coded are coming out in 2009 (in english). I seriously doubt they'll be able to finish KH3 that early. The earliest we can get it is 2011. Now this hasn't been confirmed, but it's just very likely. Really, the most they would have done with KH3 right now would just be the story.
I suggest you choose your friends wisely then. It would be much easier for you if you have a friend who is willing to say "no" as well. This takes a lot of the power out of peer pressure and makes it much easier to resist. It's great to have friends with values similar to yours who will back you up when you don't want to do something. Just stay away from them if they continue to offer you such things. And of course if it gets out of hand, by all means tell an adult.
Yes, it will. I'm 100% sure that BBS and 358/2 Days will come out internationally. Not sure about Coded though, although Nomura said that he wants to put the game on a range of cellphones to be able to sell it outside of Japan. These aren't Final Mixes - BBS, 358/2 Days, and Coded will contribute a lot to the story of KH, like CoM. So expect them in the US soon.
From a Japanese gaming magazine: KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep A finisher attack technique called "Shock Lock System" appears. Screenshots of Ven and Terra are shown, but there is no new dialogue. Release date: TBA KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days Screenshot: Axel saying "How many times do I bring them back?"* Screenshot: Namine saying "Surely she is unable to endure it." (the 14th member???) The members of Organization XIII are assigned missions. Release date: 2008 KINGDOM HEARTS coded Release date: TBA
Nice find. I sense a boatload of news approaching... Hmm, I wonder what those two locked buttons below are gonna be. One of them will probably be for trailers.
Well, firstly, welcome to the site. Now: 1.) His name's Master Xehanort. He is not the same Xehanort from KH2. Why he is also called Xehanort is one of the many mysteries of the game, just like how Ven looks exactly like Roxas. 2.) The guy who posted before me is right (oh, and welcome to him too). BBS takes place 10 years before KH1, not a hundred. If you've watched the recently leaked trailer of it, or at least looked at some screenshots of BBS, you can see young Sora and Riku playing on Destiny Islands' beach.
Less than a month from now - August 2 and 3.
It's very possible this may actually be for 358/2 Days. Still... KHInsider Scroll down to the second news post.
Sora and Riku are definitely in it. The screenshot and the recently leaked trailer proves that. Because that fight wasn't canon. In other words, you could say it never really happened; it just foreshadows BBS. Nomura didn't even want to put it in, but a developer insisted.
Seriously? Come on, the character models for the PotC world in KH look much better than the ones in the actual PotC games. You can't beat that. Now, for worlds I'd like to see. Like Pika_power said, say "NO" to Disney-Channel-made shows and movies. From what I heard, SE can finally use Pixar worlds. So I say: 1.) Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest for the first visit, At World's End for the second. 2.) Toy Story - Zurg or the Prospector as the boss. 3.) The Incredibles - By all means, they should put this in. 4.) Treasure Planet - If you think about it, they might be able to pull this off quite well. 5.) Atlantis - Same as Treasure Planet. 6.) The Hunchback of Notre Dame - This would be the best world. 7.) Pocahontas - Maybe. I think some of these worlds have a good chance of getting into BBS though, especially the last four.
Multiplayer has nothing to do with the actual story, so all thirteen Organization members will be available.
Just a tiny update. There was an interview with Nomura recently where he talked about the upcoming gaming event, DKΣ3713. The interview was fully translated at KHInsider, so here's the KH segment: And here's what he had to say about TGS 2008 (which will have the 3 new KH games shown to the general public):
No worries, there's still DKΣ3713 in less than a month. I stopped expecting anything at E3 after hearing about what's to be shown at DKΣ3713. TGS in October was also confirmed to feature the 3 new KH games.
I don't really care; we can already order the FMs online. 358/2 Days might have the CoM members' voices in english anyway, which is the main thing people are looking forward to if Re:CoM ever came out internationally. They might release the FMs in english when they're finally done with the KH series (when Nomura has nothing else to do), but then again, I don't think too many people would be interested by then.
The Lingering Spirit is one of the new optional bosses in KH2:Final Mix. It doesn't have anything to do with the story, but it foreshadows BBS. Basically, the Lingering Spirit is Terra, and he uses a lot of unique Keyblade attacks. By "light spells", I think {Light}ningAmbition meant the data-like animations (as we can see when Terra summons his Keyblade in the recently leaked trailer), or maybe Terra's ability to change his Keyblade into different machines. I like how magic works now. From what I can see, Terra uses two kinds of fire attacks; there's one where he glides across the ground and one where he shoots a fireball which explodes into a ring of flames on contact - a very nice mix of the KH1 and the KH2 versions. Blizzard as well, which looks pretty effective in the KH2:FM secret ending. Then there's Thunder, which looks like Final Form's as we can see in the screenshot with Ven, and they can apparently zap it right from their Keyblades as we saw in the secret ending.
Gameplay doesn't count. Story-wise, Xemnas was the strongest enemy Sora has faced. If it wasn't for Riku, Sora would've been killed near the beginning of the battle when Xemnas disarmed him.
He said that KH was different from FF in that it's about one character, one story, something about "succeeded the blood". Anyway, SE keeps recycling character designs: Neku - Sora Cloud - Roxas/Ven Reno - Axel Zack - Terra
Nomura did say that it doesn't matter if the Lingering Spirit is Terra or not. In fact, that entire battle was non-canon; Nomura didn't even want to put it in, but one of the developers insisted. But the Lingering Spirit definitely is Terra. He has the same Keyblade, mentions Aqua and Ven, said he hated Xehanort, etc. The armor is the same as well. The secret ending is only more detailed since it's in CGI; it was just the lighting that made the armor's color look different. Although if you look more closely, Terra's armor in the KH2:FM secret ending has the same colors of that of the Lingering Spirit's.
We're excited because we will finally get some great news on KH after 8 months. And yes, everyone's aware that we won't be able to see the trailers; however, we also know that summaries will start flooding out+screenshots which are going to be from the trailers. And of course, there's Nomura interviews, release dates (for sure), etc. Isn't this WAY better than nothing? We can survive not being able to play a demo...
Don't worry. This is the first time I ever auditioned for something like this, and she said I was pretty good. Just, you know, try your best.
