While I didn't entirely find it surprising, it was really great they allowed you to make use of the online coop feature. Granted there weren't many created lobbies, but I've been mostly playing with my friends anyway. I'm a little bummed about the lack of iron sight system like in COD, but it's quite enjoyable nonetheless.
I must say, it was a lot more fun that I thought it'd be (based on the demo). It's just too bad there are too many other games I would rather spend my money on. EA would've totally had my business for both Dead Space and Mirror's Edge if this month wasn't so packed with other competitive titles.
lol, well I'm sure Noctis won't be wearing a suit for the entire game, but Nomura explicitly said the outfit in the first few trailers would change. It's probably still there in some shape or form, but if we are to go by Nomura's word, then it won't look 100% the same.
It's not pessimism. It's human nature. In fact, you're the one inciting personal gain as pessimistic, not me. There's nothing wrong with helping others if it means to help yourself as well. It just so happens that there is no example of helping behaviour that can definitively exclude any possibility of personal gain--of any magnitude. Feel free to give an example of a situation that says otherwise.

Nomura already stressed repeatedly he was going for realism. He wants this game to feel like it's taking place in a present day world that we can identify with. Nomura also said in earlier interviews that the outfit Noctis was wearing in the first few trailers would greatly change when the game actually comes out. This is a bit disappointing because I thought it was an awesome outfit, but be prepared for an exclusion.
They did, but you can't confirm if that's a player playing or a CPU/AI enemy. EDIT: Looked it up on wiki, which states '20 playable characters'. So I guess you can play both sides.
All helping behaviour is arguably motivated by personal gain. In other words, we help to help ourselves. That sums it up pretty well for me. And I'm totally prepared to counter the first person to bring up altruism.
There are slight nuances that don't make them clones/replicas, but I have thought for a while that Nomura needs to stop recycling old material.
How dare you forget Shigeru Miyamoto.
Most likely in versus mode. Not sure about in the story mode.
You're 13. In a few years, you're gonna look back at this and laugh at yourself.
dun hate on teh Riku battle. he gives u xp. respect dat sheet.
This joke is so terrible, I actually laughed. XD
Impossible to do on Veteran.
I couldn't really care less about this who ripped who argument with NXE. I just want the party chat. I find it ridiculous that from the get-go you couldn't have private conferences with more than one person at a time. At least now I can private chat with all my friends at once while playing COD and not have to listen to the prepubescent garbage that flood the game channel.
Don't see where Neku said they were the same. They are different, but that does not definitively make any of them better than another. I used to own all three consoles: Wii, 360 and PS3. I bought them all for different reasons (mostly for their exclusives) because there were titles on each console that I wanted enough to make me buy each console. There is no need for any console to be better than the other, and I don't see why people have to constantly try to make everyone else in the world agree with their choice. It's childish really. It's almost as if people can't afford to buy more than one console, so they have to get out of their way and justify why theirs is the best and everyone else's consoles suck.
Should you get a 360? Depends on what you like (I've grown used to giving this advice). What console to buy depends on looking at the games offered for them. In the end, you're looking at exclusives. Multi-platform titles don't matter because they're offered on more than one console, so consider the exclusives and make a decision as to which one has more titles you like. Anyone can boast why they're console has the 'better' games, but remember that what's 'good' is an opinion. If you have no interest in any of the 360's biggest exclusives like Gears or Halo for example, then obviously the console may mean squat to you, and that's your right. The same goes for the PS3. Think for yourself. That's all.
Got my copy earlier today. I've held off playing it until my friend gets back from lecture tonight so we can tackle campaign.
Locked? Very strange description. Can you possibly do a Print Screen when that happens? I'd like to see exactly what it is you're dealing with.
