Maybe, but it still doesn't explain why it has trouble after awaking from standby which feels like it's something on my end.
Here's a curveball for you guys that Google just couldn't find an answer to. This is only the second day this has happened. I have a Win 7 64-bit laptop, and to access the internet I have a wireless dongle that plugs into a USB port. Since I'm in and out of my apartment all the time, I tend to just close the lid and put the laptop to sleep. It has never given me any problems when I do that. The last couple of days, when I wake the laptop from standby and log back in, after the dongle connects me to the internet again, I can't load deviantART. I can load my mailbox, Tumblr, here, Pinterest..but not deviantART. I'm not entirely sure why, but the page will take over 2 min. to load before finally spitting a Err.101 - Connection Reset at me. All of the other pages load within seconds. Like I said, it just seems to be deviantART, which is a little frustrating as now is a busy commission month for me. I've tried using different browsers, and I get this same result in IE, FF, Chrome, and Rockmelt. Clearing my cache from both in browser and Control Panel has not helped. It's not blocked here in the land of rice: I've been able to get on before, and I do get on after a hard restart of the laptop. I've tried turning off sleep settings for the dongle but there doesn't seem to be any. Ejecting the dongle via "Safely Remove Hardware" has not worked either. The only "fix" I have is to restart the laptop after it wakes, which I think is unnecessary. Any ideas why it's doing this, and to just one website?
Dern it, can't play it for a long while. I don't want to buy a 3DS in the land of rice because it might not work back in the states. But my god did I bawl at the end of Unwound Future...
I remember doing the Secret Santa last year, but not sure if that counts..and actually I think that was a whole other pin altogether.
Mmkay, let's see if I remember what I had. I'm sure I had Premium Craze The Promise Everlasting KH-Vids 2010 and 2011 Castle Survivor Party Lover But since the last two can't be given out right now, I think it's just those first five, plus that random ??? pin. Maybe not The Promise.
Mom took this photo literally hours before the power went out: Luckily this 100-ft pine only took out a portion of the fence, not the neighbor's shed and thank God it didn't fall toward the house. Everyone back home is okay, the generator has kicked in and f course Mom's practically dancing around that she caved in and bought one. I've still been watching the storm carefully: nothing feels worse than seeing this massive superstorm pounding on your family's door and you're on the other side of the planet, unable to do much of anything except hope and pray.
Oldest in general? The Packard Bell I played around with when I was 3 or 4 years old, back in the early 90s, but won't boot up anymore. Oldest working device? My Sega Genesis. Almost all of the games for it still work (even if I have to blow on the cartridges a few dozen times).
I agree with the above bit. If the dog likes the taste of breast milk and it actually is beneficial to the dog, then pump some for the dog and feed it that way. Dog may not bite much now, but one day she will, and a bite there could lead to all kinds of infections (and also be hella painful because, let's face it, boobs are sensitive). I suggest therapy, not for much for the breastfeeding bit but the guilt. I'm more worried about depression more than how weird bf-ing a dog is.
...well, I have her hair, so I won't need a wig.. I may just have to give this one a go, if anything it'll impress the nerdy coworkers I have who would probably appreciate it.
I get to dress up for work this year, and get to teach my English classes in costume. Only trouble is I can't do anything owned by the Mouse. Suggestions? Also yay I just looked and saw I have Halloween off...too bad the people here don't really do Halloween.
Mortal Kombat? FATALITY. Also, lol, it's a dragon. I was born in '88, which was a dragon year. As is this year. / easily amused
I already said no one gets to blame it on me this time on Facebook. I'm in the land of rice. And if it was me, there'd be a whole lot more shakin' going on than just a 4.0
Ah, okay. Thanks for clearing that up. I definitely must have missed a post on that or something.
Literally....I logged in today and all of my trophy points are gone. What happened? Did I miss something? Or did I lose them because I've been more of a lurker lately?
The first one was my favorite. "Here, YOU eat it."
The customizable avatar idea looks cool...but it's also feeding my suspicion that it could very well be a Facebook game. I don't mind the card system here, especially for a browser game. Probably will be a bit easier than button-smashing (and your keyboard will thank you for it,too.)
Yay, I feel special now. :3 Mine would have to be my new Chinese name: Xiao Hudie (I can't do the marks where I'd like to). It translates literally into "small butterfly", but it means "young butterfly". A young man in Shanghai gave me the name after we spent the day together and he had remarked that I had a very young "baby face".
You know, part of the reason I joined was the folks here. Part of the reason why I'm still here is because of the folks here. And I'm 24. You figure I'm nearly a quarter of a century old, yet I still hang out here when the Mouse isn't wearing me down. Why? You guys. I can have a bad day, but then I come home, peruse the Spam Zone, have a laugh or two, and I feel better. And I (think I) made some awesome friends here. It'd be tough to leave, but if I ever did, of course I'd fin a way to keep in touch. Also helps to remind myself that I may be 24 and on a KH forum, yet there's bound to be grown men older than me on a MLP: FiM forum.
This would be fantastic if it ever got released in English. I just pray it doesn't turn out to be a Facebook game or something.
^ I like the above ideas, maybe have a select few that get to be 'beta testers' for new features. I'd also would love to be able to lock my own thread without an admin, but use one to unlock it, especially in the tech help section once a question's been answered after two posts or so. Also, maybe have the ability to change our own username a set amount of times each month, after that have a staff approve them so we don't have too many name changes at once. I think this was already suggested, though.
