The only gripe I have about what you're saying in terms of it being comparable to games that only take place in medieval England or games that only let you use a pistol is that there are exponentially more possibilities in both of those areas as opposed to literally only two in regards to gender. Male and female. That being said, I agree with the first thing you said. Game took too long. I'll be happy if it turns out to be good, but I simply don't care enough anymore to be hyped about it.

If you've never watched anything on a 120 Hz TV before, it might be a little strange at first and make you want to throw it out of a window. I'm one of those people that just can't get over it because I'm so used to how 60 Hz looks. Everything above 60 Hz gives me this feeling that everything is shot on a camcorder. You can turn the option off, so if you end up hating it as well, there's that.

That's a tough one. Unless your laptop/computer at the moment is 10+ years old and barely functions, you're not going to be able to find a worthy replacement, let alone a high-end laptop in the $300-400 price range, regardless of if it's refurbished or not. I'd say a TV for your room if you don't currently have one. Always nice to be able to relax in bed and watch the tube. c:
My outlook on the Wii U is pretty similar to my outlook on the current state of the Xbox One: I would love to own one. There are plenty of games I'd enjoy playing. I just don't want to spend that kind of money on either when I want the PS4 more, and I can unfortunately only have one of the three in the foreseeable future. :c
