Don't you mean she? Among the only other characters to assume the Yellowjacket mantle on Earth-616 was Rita DeMara. Granted, I am not up-to-date regarding news concerning Marvel film and Marvel appears to be pulling inspiration from sources other than 616 continuity. Rita however aligns with the criminal/anti-hero archetype they seem to be going for. Disappointed by Janet's reduced importance in the cinematic universe. :/
Can I pet it, Trigger? The ferret, I mean.
Who do you respect most and why do you respect them?
I don't actually live in America, but if I did my alarm would be set as such:
MOO WITH ME!
Back with low res cosplay photos. The material I ordered for Kitty Pryde did not arrive in time, so I ended up fashioning a last-minute cosplay together the day before con. What I've learned from this experience is to place orders waaay in advance. They might guarantee 24 hour shipping, but that doesn't mean squat if they ship it to you a week after you've placed the order. True story. Spoiler: Mary Marvel The design itself is simple enough, although the process was complicated as my sewing machine was broken. Everything above was hand-sewn. The cape is made out of felt, which isn't ideal (too stiff); I had to request a friend trace my body's frame beforehand so that the cape could be cut accordingly. It doesn't function like satin material where one might measure horizontally/vertically and then cut straight. So that was a pain. The lightning bolt is composed of three layers, a yellow felt base + two layers of [somewhat transparent] gold fabric (the belt is fashioned out of the same fabric). The reason I didn't use plain yellow felt and instead chose to hand-sew all that was because the dress itself wasn't bright red but maroon and I felt the color scheme wouldn't work unless the yellow was a darker color. The gold fabric was too fragile to sew on its own unless it was attached to a base. Thus, the majority of my time was invested in sewing the lightning bolt together (it was later attached to the dress with double-sided tape). I bought the beads for the cape from Party City-- to emphasize how last-minute this cosplay was! They attach to the top part of the cape, which is attached to the lower half via concealed pins. LOW RES PHOTOS. Cape was slipping in the last one. Oops. I'm kind of tempted to retry this costume now that I have more than a day to design it. Mary's costume is so charmingly characteristic of the Golden Age. And I like wearing skirts.
'Scuse me for the late reply, thanks. The saddest thing is meeting in-character cosplays in con and then... never meeting them again.
Yeah, I supposed as much.
Almost 99% certain I saw someone else using this Steph icon, did you make it?
I'm sorry, I have to show you another photo because that one does not emphasize the amount of effort I spent into that stupid felt cape. literally...
to give you an idea of how last-minute this cosplay was the golden beads were bought from party city. eh.
Well, I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to trying it provided that the circumstances were ideal but we are rarely ever thrown into such scenarios....
Wazzat, e-cigs? Mary Marvel.
I don't have any plans to start soon; I inhale enough secondhand smoke as is. I cosplayed. Photos were taken. Family reunion with my "brother"...
He should star in a British sitcom.
The designated candidates all seem in fine control of their mental faculties, therefore I judge that neither of them are in the slightest sense mentally insane. It of course depends how you define "insanity" as, a person could shoot down a school in cold blood and people would assume they were insane; they would have a chance at pleading it in court. Too often, "insanity" is used to excuse behavior which society merely views as detrimental (and the diagnosis discourages exploration into why they are as they are, because god forbid society played a role in their formation). Makaze holds some controversial beliefs, but nothin' insane there. Maybe just a little odd at worst. I could envision Amaury developing dementia somewhere down the line at age 60+. I don't think Fearless is insane either, but I think "Fearless" and "insane" complement each other well and as I think none of these candidates are particularly insane I am going to go out and satisfy a preference.
Accurate, but I'd still prefer Most Obscure Tastes. I mean, good grief, the profession I am looking into is characterized by caring about/preserving things which most people don't spare a glance for (archiving is as esoteric as it gets).
Ugh, OK. That was ridiculously obvious.
Spoiler: another failed response Mhm, I tried "below" but that didn't work either. Let's see.
Dunno about #3. Down. Arrow. Key. Keyboard. Look down. ?
