Like I said it's a lightweight showpiece that would shatter at one clash. It's like those paperweight wushu weapons. But he makes an even better point with it's guarding capabilities. It's just not feasible to use that kinda weapon. It's maneuvers are limited to swinging sideways and down. Anyone can read it and evade it. You'd be lucky to win against someone using a knife.
Learn Canon Rock. Vegetate. Finish summer school. Waste like six hours a day here. Write some more, post some more. Practice basically everything that needs practice. Learn to draw. Find a power cable for my scanner. Buy an effects pedal. I dunno what else. Listen to Katamari on the Rocks?
Aw. That's kinda sad. You killed off that other girl. But, that was still an excellent chapter.
You're not seeing what I mean. I'm saying that this won't work. Riku-Heart+Heart=Nobody He does end up all in a complete part and he never was a Heartless. He may have been separated but since nothing happened to him making him a Heartless or Nobody then and there we can say that he never was a Nobody or had a Nobody. So, well yeah. I think that's how it goes. Edit: I would like to say that for the record there is no power of "twilight". There is light and darkness. Riku uses Darkness even though he still has light it doesn't give him power. He never uses light attacks or anything he couldn't do in Dark Form. This twilight thing is just no logical. All he said was twilit road to dawn. So if anything why doesn't anyone call it dawn power? That's all.
Sexy's Back Yeah I'm back. I think Enigmatic Boy's totally right. The purpose of a dao or voulge is to replace a blade for longer range. The obscenely long sword is made to look impressive and have no function. The center of gravity would be too far from the hilt for it to be effective. Also the sheer weight just makes it illogical. Anyways, they only make showpieces of that type.
I'd like to spar with some people here. But, that's topic for another day. I'm going to sleep I've school tomorrow. BTW I consider myself competent but even if I got serious my sister who is about six inches shorter than me could beat me into a living pile of crap. She kicks like a angry mule. One time I was holding the heavy bag for her and I wasn't standing right. So I got knocked over. Edit:WhiteRook true enough.
Yeah. I can understand minimal japanese and cantonese. But, not enough to get by or even close to that. But like you said it keeps a lot of the intent in when it's watched in it's original language.
Know what was too bad to describe? Hero dubbed. Seriously, I watched it on TV and it made even the most serious scenes seem ridiculous. BTWI think Ang Lee said something along these lines about Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Kung-Fu movies are more like musicals now. But instead of singing and dancing when you feel something, you kick ***.
Yeah. I see you're point. But, it only makes a difference if you're experienced in real fighting. Sparring and playing tag won't help if you get into a real fight. I have experience up to my eyeballs but it's not real fighting. Like I said it's whether you resign yourself to beat down your opponent or let them crush you. My dad says if I let go and didn't hold back I could fight better. I just have issues with hurting others. Edit: Yeah. It's mostly self taught. I only spar with my older cousin and we don't aim to injure at all.
Meltdown, Shinobi, Dragon Tiger Gate. All generally wire-fu types. Meltdown was a good Jet Li movie. The sequences were more in between wire and kung-fu. My favorite part was the Bruce Lee impersonators fight. Shinobi Heart Under Blade was more like Shaolin Soccer than anything else. It was heavy on special effects but I likes the action and story line. Dragon Tiger Gate was all wire-fu. But the dude could kick. It was fun to watch even though it wasn't technical at all. Compare it to Kung-Fu Hustle. Yeah, I love my movies. If you like this type of stuff you should take a look.
In case anyone was wondering. I'm decent with chinese sabers single and dual. I'm okay with a chinese spear and japanese oar. The katana is my weakest weapon. I couldn't actually fight to well with anything but a single chinese saber though. Two swords just kind get in the way and make it harder t fight. In essence it's to look good. I often hit myself with nunchaku, nine sectioned steel whip, three sectional staff, and any loose weapons. Sais get caught on my sleeves and I'm too afraid to touch hook swords. So there's my weapons experience. I believe it's a combo of both. I mean you can't fight if you can't lift your weapon right. Also, physical endurance is key. But, in general skill helps but it;'s attitude that makes or breaks the deal.
Same. It had it's martial arts movie feel, but the fights weren't totally outrageous. He looked like if the enemy did those things it could work. But, that;s just me. I'm all for wire-fu but sometimes it's nice to go back to the basic semi-realistic stuff.
Um, I forget at this point. I can't keep my thoughts together so I often see mistakes that confuse me later. I think this is one of those times. I could have been saying that it's impossible for a complete being to become a Nobody or someting along those lines.
Yeah, me too. Although his normal kicks and punches were a bit odd looking he could do some amazingly clean jump kicks and arm locks. I wish I could be that skilled. Yeah, I'm a martial arts nerd I actually look for technique. Although capoeira is basically useless in a fight like wushu I loved that bit. It just looked freakin' cool. The cool thing was he could do alot of stunts. Brings me back to long nights up watching Dragons Forever. Good times.
or Shinobi Heart Under Blade, or The Protector, or Meltdown? All these are good movies. Protector of elephants!
Spam? Someone already put that awhile ago.
You don't pwn me. (It does say that right?)
A scythe was originally a farming tool like the sai and machette. Only in Poland did it actually become a weapon. In Japan a sickle or kama was used though. It was associated with death due to the reaping of souls like the reaping of crops that came with the grim reaper.
I said it was baseless speculation and crackpot theories. But "Terra" (Not a confirmed name I believe) was in the gathering place in a sleep like trance thing(Looked like it to me). I meant Ven's armor I kinda messed up. Anyways that's all I had to fix up. I don't really know it'll be explained in the thing we all call KHIII even though it's not really gonna be called that.
Explain. Two swords or a sword with two blades. If the latter, a kadaj type or a darth maul type?
