She was a fan of hamburgers and fries but as the girls were grouped together there seemed to be no reason not to continue riding with them. Perhaps it was due to laziness that prevented her from getting up at the time. No matter. Whatever the reason they had gone to another place to eat. That probably wasn't the best idea. The cause of the accident had been such a blur that Sophie really had no idea how it happened, especially once they were spinning out of control. Her head went into the glass window, causing it to bled and throb. Though, luckily, her ice powers were activated by adrenaline and fear which was enough to make the window shatter so it could not happen again. That was the only time she could use them though for after that she was out. When Sophie came to there was shouting, none of which made sense as the girl struggled to just open her eyes. Everything was just a haze. "Ack," she began coughing which caused her body to turn. And though it hurt to do so the girl began getting to her feet. Though once on them she just fell back to her knees. "Should cheeseburger," Sophie said. And she didn't realize it but her voice was quiet and hard to form, thus her sentence was missing a few words.
A reply hadn't been excepted this quickly but overall Victoria was glad Teagan was calling her. Even if it was to say no, despite her note saying not to call in that case, it took away the time that would have been spent wondering and worrying. Or at least, that was her guess. "Oh, h-hey. Can I-I help you with something?"
"You want to save the eggs?" If mice were going to catch up with a vehicle, and possibly fight a human, than they would be needing help. Though despite talking as loud as she could in this form she was not sure if Fang could hear her and was only hoping for the best. Especially when it came to the mother, for she could not be trusted there. In fact, there was no trust. But if they could use her that would be great.
She stayed, waiting in silence. And though she could not read people well she thought that this had been the best approach. So if it failed nothing would work. And that meant she was not at fault. "I don't have many friends," was the reply when Arianna finally spoke again. "Perhaps two, I think, and they are still close to me." She decided to leave it at that so after a slow nod of the head she began wandering off. Victoria had not made it far when her phone began ringing. She took out the iPhone with a pink case decorated with white flowers and started at the number displayed. It was not one she noticed, and it wasn't the phone they stored her Red Flag contacts which didn't have names saved for caller ID which made her nervous. So she took a few moments but in the end she finally answered, putting it up to her ear. "H-hello?" For as stupid as this one was Alex applauded him for not dancing around the question. That actually made him happy. "Well me and my mates are sort of a sponsor for this group of Alphas and they really like people with active powers like yours. So they sent me to see if you were interested in joining them and their fight for human rights for all of our kind." Vincent frowned at how eager they were to get out of there. Perhaps he really should have left the talking to Jack. Either way he made sure to step in front of their path, quickly placing a card with his number in the center and a smile under it on Thallen's lap. "If you change you mind any time soon." After that he stepped away, returning to the waiting room where he took a seat and grabbed the first magazine from the stack next to him. That was most definitely a no, wasn't it? What a shame.
He was safe, hurt, but safe. And yet the tunnel had caved in and there was no way the truck or even a person could climb out of that rubble. Did Theodore... It could be possible he lived, the truck's roof shielding him from the falling stone. Or that the front of the truck was away from where most of it landed. No way could he dig that out by himself and yet the boy found himself at the rocks, pushing some away. No real effort was put into it though as he was tired and hopeless. "T-the others... To the school?" No. They wouldn't wait for them. No way. Humans could not be trusted to do such a kind thing. Not with all these dangers around. Perhaps they could just make camp around here somewhere and make plans for the day. First, though, he handed Heidi and Madeline some pain killers in case they were hurting as much as he was. He promised to see if they needed medical attention later, but for now all he wished to do was rest. He wasn't the only one, either, for the girl was out quickly. Following her lead he took a spot right there after fixing his suit, having not put it on properly in the rush. Moments later he was out.
Following Theo's orders Elliot grabbed a mask and put it on then the suit before grabbing the bag he had brought with him before, going on to the roof as soon as he could. He waited for the brakes to hit, preparing himself in a way which would hopefully have him land the safest as possible. There wasn't really time for thought though, just action. Once their cue came up, the sudden stop, which sent him flying to the ground. Once he landed his body rolled some before he was able to get to his feet to run out of there.
Elliot turned to look upon Heidi and the piece of paper she had, taking it for a better view. At first glance they looked like phone numbers but a second more would reveal there were too little or too much in some of the lines and without all of them matching up that theory was tossed aside. It wasn't like phones worked, either. "Hm... T? Theodore or his father I'm assuming..." Probably the father. A copy. A copy would probably be wise to have, just in case the paper was lost. And so both could work on this if Heidi wished to do so as well. So he withdrew his little notebook and made sure to copy the numbers down exactly as shown on a fresh page before handing the paper back to Heidi. "Should ask Theodore about this once he returns. Until then I will see what I can make of it."
The group had returned to the camp in time for Elliot to hear trucks running. What a wonderful thing to have, and quite needed. They should-wait. It was Theodore who had said that, wasn't it? Smiling for the first time in a while, well, a smile without twisted thoughts behind it, Elliot greeted his friend. "G-good thing you're awake..." The reunion would have to wait for it seemed that trucks were ready to go. No need to waste gas and surely everyone would be wishing to leave as soon as possible. They couldn't stay here much longer either, with dwindling supplies. Though maybe a return could be made if they did not find a place better suited for them and needed the shelter quickly. In any case he boarded on the truck Theodore would be driving, though only after making sure that they packed everything they had.
Elliot's attention shot towards Heidi when the girl fell. Nothing seemed to have happened, but he went to check it out anyway. There was a smell he did not trust and a hole, so this place was marked untrustworthy in his book. At least it was not a waste for there were labcoats, one of which he put on. The extra warmth and pockets it provided could prove useful. Though the smell made him check it out first; it seemed safe. They were exposed to whatever there was down here either way so no harm in this. Then the goggles. Never knew when they could help, so he made sure to have a pair as well. If there were any extra to carry he offered his assistance, though was ready to leave now. "S-should we check out the next path? Or go back?"
With the other alphas able to just walk in whenever the fact that someone was knocking cause Rosalie to jump from her seat. Had she actually forgotten to unlock it? That was her hope but one look outside proved her wrong. Who was this man and what did he want? As careful as possible she opened the door, feeling confident that if he brought trouble her power would be more than enough to protect herself since it worked on most. If he was one of those types that it failed to work on then... Then she wouldn't know what to do. She was too vain to admit or even show signs of fear though, despite it building. In fact she made sure that her voice showed no worry and that she felt secure. "We aren't open yet, though come back tomorrow and I'll have the place running." She doubted he was here for the beer since everyone should know that it hadn't been started yet. And even if it had it was too early to let in customers. But she didn't know what else someone would need her for, not a complete stranger anyway.
Unsure of which way to go himself Elliot decided to go with Quin's choice, as it was probably the one he would have made himself. They had started down it but it was not too long afterward where the small girl started mumbling for someone to go away. Heidi must have quite the mental state to be like this, he figured, but so did he and yet he was able to keep moving forward. She was holding them back like this. He couldn't just say that though, not when he had only just met her today. Or was it yesterday. It could have been past midnight now. Oh, if only he had brought his watch along but he had actually forgotten it. And on the worst possible day too. Either way the point remained the same. No being mean, not now. So he turned to her, wondering if she was talking to them or someone else, someone only she knew. He couldn't ask if she was okay now though, since Quin already did. This left him to remain silent until she replied. Or at least, that was the preferred option. No such luck would find its way to him though as shouting was heard. And judging by what the voice was saying it had to have been that annoying, forgetful bloke who he didn't want to be associated with. He would have no say in that either though, as instead of silence he called out for him to stop only to be cut off with the collision, which also force him to be very much involved with Cherno. Hurting, he pushed the boy of while grumbling with annoyance. "Could you not have been more careful?"
I was going to make Nix Brotherhood so editing that now.
"Naturally," Andrea said at Ari's request to think it over. While it would have been nice it wasn't expected for the other to go with her right away. She could only hope for a reply before the memory of this day faded away, for it would be annoying to do it all over again. However, if it failed, a second try wouldn't be all bad. Either way she handed Arianna a white card with a phone number and sunflower behind the numbers on it. "A call would be nice when you've made up your mind. Even if you haven't a word within the week will help us know how your decisions is coming along, so I can decide if I can leave the state or not. I suppose I can also answer anything else, now or later. Is this all for now?"
The guy's expression made Alex wish he could punch him there and then. That would be so much easier than talking to the bloke. "A new, overlooked one. Fire Starter Weekly. We really love the people who can start fire with their bare hands and footage from the bank says that's you. Is that true?" This is where most would smile as they realize they have the upperhand. But something like that didn't matter to her. It was unimportant in everything but life or death situations. Even then she wasn't sure if she ever cared if she died. After all the afterlife could be loads of fun. No one knew. Though not knowing has made her to be sure she would always come on top from those situations, if presented to her. Anyway, moving on. "Andrea. Shall I say nice to meet you? I know you but you don't remember me. So I'm unsure." Idle chit chat. Apparently that was a thing others wished she worked on. "We were both in Red Flag together, working alongside other Alphas for human rights. The government doesn't even want society to know we exist though. Aren't they awful?" She didn't actually have an opinion on them despite working for a group who hated human government, or at least quite a few members did. Still, she couldn't say most. Most, to her, was at least 80% which wasn't the case. Though she only knew 60% of the group. So only 60% were counted. "You left for a reason I'm unaware of. Maybe it was too hard with your memory, though they wanted to help with that... So maybe not. I don't know. They wish you'd come back with me."
"I'm your fucking house keeper, can't you tell?" Oops, this wasn't exactly a great start. He tried laughing to pass it off as a joke and smiled at the other male. "Really poor humor, my bad. I'm Alex, a reporter, for a magazine all about fire starters. Want to tell me your story?"
It bothered him greatly that he was sent out like some dog to fetch someone comparable to a stick, as it was hardly worth his time. This person was probably weak and stupid, yet he was forced to put on a smile and act nice while talking to the boy. Hopefully he could at least get this over with quickly. And with that thought the boy knocked on Vergil's door. Oh, good. The target had stopped and replied, and without aggressive tones. Even if she could be aggressive herself, whenever not apathetic though that was rare, she had formed quite the disliking to rudeness. Especially when she is being polite. Though how she defines polite is probably different from most. Either way the blonde continued, expression and tone unchanging. "You have quite the problem with memory, don't you? Wasn't sure if that was true or not, not until now anyway." She paused. She had already thought of what she thought was the best way to handle the situation but sometimes plans do no go as they were meant to. Thinking and applying were so different after all. "We were allies, yet you look at me like a stranger."
When Teagan had ran out of the room that feeling to cry returned. She was so awful at this that surely her life would remain running errands for the others until her brother gave up hope for her improving, in which case she would be- A shiver ran up her spine. She couldn't even think about that. It was too awful. Dying would be so much better than that. Marking this up to be a failure she left her personal card which had a blooming blossom on it and her number, though was otherwise blank. It was far too vague in this situation, she thought, and so she found a blank piece of paper and pen so she could write a note. After reading it over she frowned at all the crossed out words but the thought of redoing it was way worse as she just wanted to go home now. So she set the card and letter on the table before exiting the house.
The glass of water was taken with a smile form at long last and Victoria down it pretty quickly once she was seated. Doing so allowed her the time to calm down without the pressure of needing to speak any so for that she was grateful. Once finished, however, she could only place it on the nearest table and look at the papers around her for a stall, which was a bad one. "T-they look neat..." Though she hadn't the slightest clue to understand the blueprints. "And I don't mind, honest." Get to the point, she told herself, can't keep the others waiting forever... "Out there? O-oh... Um... I work for Red Flag... W-well, not work for. No one really works for it, we're equals... Well, maybe not m-me... It's a... It's a group. All alphas. Wait, we were supposed to confirm if you're an alpha first or not..." she grimaced at her mistake. "Are you...an a-alpha?"
[ Contact Information ► Mood: ... ► Location: Tunnels ► OOC: N/A ] Shortly after they headed off the sound of footsteps could be heard from behind. He jumped, spinning around only to notice Quin there. Her voice sounded as if she thought they were stupid, which was not totally uncalled given the foolish act committed here. "R-right... Slipped my mind." He was just really curious if he could get Heidi to be the vessel for a summoning though, if the tunnel turned out to be clear anyway. Though maybe Quin could help with that. First thing's first though, what was in this tunnel?
This one was tricky. They had already collected addresses of most of this group expect for this one, all they had was that she walked through this street on her way to the bar yesterday. Only through luck did she run into Arianna when the girl took the route she was checking out at that time. This was good, since she was not fond of the local tracker. Way too skittish, that one. They almost passed each other but the blonde reached out to stop Ari, making sure to do so gently so they would not start a fight here. And a bad first impression would be useless. "Excuse me," she said, her voice void of emotion, "could you spare a moment?" Victoria nodded at both of the first two questions, being unable to find her voice now. She even actually felt like crying from embarrassment, though no tears were visible. If only she considered that running away idea more seriously. Too late now though so she decided to just enter the house. Maybe she could get this done with quickly so she could go home and hide for a few hours before watching a movie to hopefully forget this ordeal. "C-can I...we...sit?"
