Oh, yeah, I ain't gonna win this. xD You're both lovely, but I'm going to have to go for Jayn with diversity in genres. Plus, I mean, I also follow her on YouTube, but I follow Amethyst on Facebook and Soundcloud.

I meant here more than Fanfiction.net, really. I usually get one or two comments for a short-story there, but, yeah, same deal applies here. I should just aim to complete it to feel a sense of completion. But then there's also self-editing and rewrites. Thinking of just starting over with all of my stories here, actually.

    To the aspiring writer:

    1. Always have an ending in mind. Work towards that. Free-styling your way to an indeterminate spot is what gets you into trouble with Writer's Block, and it will confuse you when potential readers have questions about the direction of the story.
    2. Write out an outline. If you always know what your next chapter will be, it'll be easier to write.
    3. Take criticism well. Sometimes, people just aren't going to get your style, humor, or whatever. You don't have to change to suit everybody's wants, but it doesn't hurt to aim for the widest appeal.
    4. If you're going to write a Twilight Fanfiction based around BDSM, please take time to not romanticize the aspect of abuse without consent which the community is sick and tired of being shelved with. **** you, E. L.

While everything was going down between Goof Troop, Base sat on a bench some distance from the discussion. He'd been late leaving the portal and only just located his party after stopping for ice cream. Even though the business going down seemed serious, Base was just as serious about finishing his ice cream; he'd paid a fair amount of munny for it.

"Beuce, would you let me know if you guys need me?" he called over, nonchalant. It was also with a moutful of ice cream, so maybe his words weren't totally clear, but... eh. He'd had enough trouble tracking them down. This wasn't being lazy --- this was taking a well-deserved rest.

You don't own my life! I'll foolishly start more fanfictions than I can handle and sob myself to sleep when I find it doesn't get a fanbase.

Honestly, that's another problem with fanfiction. Especially here. The rules, understandably, state that you just can't flood a story thread with useless "This is great. write moar" one-liners. While that's great, I probably would have finished a few of the stories I've shared here if I knew people were really following along with it.

Support your local fanfiction writers, kids. Have the confidence to comment what you really think. Nobody (of much import) is going to judge you for liking a story, and the author will treasure you forever even if your comment is more constructive criticism than lauding.

It was a tough choice. A lot of great, creative minds to be counted amongst, and, truly, it was an honor just to receive a nomination. Thanks to whoever. I am appreciative.

Hexin is not just creative. He's prolific. Geared towards character development and adamant to updates in his OC's fanfiction, he has my vote.

Yes, hmm, I'm afraid I'm dead too. Attacks based off Disney rides. Those graphics. The animation. Tangled. I am dead too.

    A fellow impressionist, eh?

I will be sincere, since I know how aggravating it can be to hear a voice in your head, miss it, and be told, "Wow! It's so perfect! Sounds exactly like them!" The miss is the case of Ansem the Wise, unfortunately. As Tale pointed out, you lacked the flourish and character of Christopher Lee's voice. In fact, it also lacked the timbre. His voice was not merely low, it was hollow and powerful.

Xemnas, on the other hand, was superb. Without parallel. It REALLY sounded like him. It had the tone and, most importantly, the character in tact.

Continue to work at it. You have a marvelous voice, and you do seem to know what you have in mind. I look forward to hearing more.

Wow, I am very surprised no one is talking about the fact that:

Chris Pratt is eaten. Alas, much like Quicksilver's presence in the latest Avenger's movie was so built-up only to have him fall, Chris Pratt goes down in the line of duty. Also, down the throat of a very large Dinosaur. One minute he was cracking goofy one-liners with the charm of a fiver year old at Disney World, the next he dropped to the bottom of the food chain.

It was like watching "Old Yeller" all over again, but if you actually saw the bullet actually go through the dog's head, because there was a lot of gross chewing involved with Pratt's gooey organs. This likening is strengthened by the fact Mr. Pratt is the personification of a Golden Retriever.

Rest in Peace, Owen. The world will never forget your sacrifice. At least there's still Starlord.

Actually, I haven't seen the movie yet, but could you imagine if that happened?

Tumblr lost it. Imgur lost it. People who don't live on the internet lost it. Christopher Lee was just one of those seemingly permanent fixtures of Class and Profesionalism whose power could be demonstrated more in a single action than most can show in a lifetime. These are not just nice things to say. He was, truly, a Legend.

And, just like Robin Williams and many other of the most talented and gifted in their craft, he could "make Shakespeare out of Shlock", to quote a well-spoken article I read today on his passing. That is the mark of a great actor.

The first image has the whole Doll approach down. The second one... well, I mean, a shocked grape with a moustache and long goatee has what to do with gaming exactly?

I rather like the backgrounds in both, the use of shading, and, yes, I do see what the second image is. But now you can't unsee a brown-haired grape with its mouth agape, can you?

I'm finally going through with an idea that's been pitched to me for some time. I'm going to market my story-telling abilities, and become a narrator for hire. As this is a fresh take on this page, it will be straight and to the point for now:

Here is a sample of my work:

There's some legal stuff to go over:

    General Rules:
    • It's just for you. You can't sell what you get. You can, of course, share it with others, but please limit that when it comes to books or subject matter that is not in the public domain.
    • No sexually-explicit material. Nope. Nothing. This includes primary and secondary sexual features.
If you want me to read a fanfiction, I have a few separate rules for this:
I will talk prices with you. I will likely be most flexible with the price for these, since I shouldn't be making too much money off of it anyway. But I would like to be compensated for my work.

If you want me to read something you wrote that is not fanfiction:
I may. If you really, very badly, need a audiobook version of an original story you wrote. Also, I'd have to see if it would be worth my time. If you have the license to sell the book and an audiobook accompaniment, this will be the most expensive route. It would be Pay for Hire.

If you want me to read a book in the public domain:
    • Yes, I will likely do it.
    • This is the preferred reading.
    • This will feature the most standard prices.
If you want me to read a popular story that is not in the public domain:
    • I MAY do it. Case to case basis. This would include stories like, but not limited to: Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, etc.
    • I don't want to be too greedy with these. Most of these books HAVE audiobooks existing, and my rendition would be taking away money from that. If you're hiring me for these, you are hiring me to just have me read it to you in my style. I would prefer you actually own a copy of the book, as this would make me feel a little less used.
    • If I get so much as ONE Cease and Desist letter, this is the category that goes out the window. Hopefully, it never comes to that.

If you want me to read a story that is not in the public domain, you didn't write it, and virtually no one has heard of it:
Nope. I'm sorry, but I cannot do this. Not going to take that risk.

If you want me to read a series:
I would you rather not. If you absolutely have to, it will be have to be proposed soundly. Doing a series would be seriously draining and will take a great deal of time to do.

This thread IS Mod-approved. Thanks to @Misty , @cstar , @Captain Rogers . I record with a Rode NT1-A microphone. The whole reason this exists is so I can take a trip to get away for a little bit. I've been living with family too consistently and we all need space. I have been trying to get a job since I've moved, but it's been three months, no luck, and money is running out; let alone enough to plan a small trip somewhere. I normally don't beg for money or work. This is a very different instance. I need this.

Wait, second thought here... Selfies? does this mean that Aliens have seen my junk? I keep a pretty messy room and I send pictures to other people to help me motivate myself to clean it up, so, yeah, I'm pretty sure Aliens have seen my junk.

Actually, it's the NSA. There's no A after the N, because those are two different Federal Institutions. NASA goes to space, and the NSA stands for "National Security Agency, while NASA stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration. So, again, the NSA is spying, while NASA goes to space.

Hold on, speaking of NASA, I just got an e-mail directly from them! Oh Em Gee! This is incredible! They sent me something they found in space that circled around us a few times! Apparently, it was back in 2002. I can't believe what I'm seeing!

I am, personally, not in favor of the Death Penalty in general. It's, typically, archaic and absolutist. Plus, to its negatives, innocents have been wrongly convicted and sentenced to death. Overall, I am quite Liberal minded, at times. I was raised Conservative, so I do have the vantage points necessary to look at issues from either side of a two-party system. And beyond.

We know he committed these crimes. We know that, for the most part, he's mentally-stable, but seriously corrupted. That's saying nothing for all that he's done to further Islamophobia in the country and religious intolerance. He hurt people. He killed people. He made more than a mistake. He made a conscious decision to do something evil, no matter how you slice it. I am going to say something I do not say very often:

To me, he deserves the Death Penalty. I do not revel in the wake of his demise, but it does not leave me with any burden to think his life will end for what he has done.
