Roslind watched as Alistair entered the apartment and greeted her with a wink. ⁅Good morning,⁆ She nodded, still holding the front of her nightgown awkwardly. The blonde girl came walking over, joining Roslind and Alistair in the entrance to the apartment. ⁅Hey Alistair, morning.⁆ Alistair turned to the blonde girl to greet her as well. ⁅Oh hey, it's... umm.... Accelerator! Good Morning Accelerator!⁆ Roslind wasn't sure what the girl's name was, but she was pretty certain that wasn't it. He seemed to finally notice her dress wear which made her face flush. ⁅Hmm, I guess I came a bit early... I guess I shall leave you to get changed and... huh, ah! If your looking for some of your belongings they should still be in your bedroom. At least that fairy had the decency to bring our belonging with us... so glad my sword is with me.⁆ Alistair seemed happy about this. His sword must have been very important. ⁅Weeeeeeelp, I'll leave you girlies to your changing... I'll make us something nice to drink.⁆ He headed off to the kitchen. Roslind watched him walk away and headed back to her own bedroom to change. Upon further inspection, her priests' uniform was resting on the table. Quickly she changed out of the nightgown and into her usual attire. The familiar white cloak felt comforting around her shoulders. Heidi felt her grasp on Altair's sleeve tightening. She couldn't look behind her, afraid to see Altair's face. His voice sounded strained. Maybe going to see him was a bad thing. He might not have wanted to see her. "Are you sure you're okay? Seems like you're holding onto his arms pretty tightly there." said the girl. Heidi nodded. "Yeah. Okay. We're okay." Her answer seemed to be enough to convince the girl. She looked them over once more before leaving and Heidi felt a rush of relief. There was no way of knowing what would happen to them this time, and she didn't want to get involved with anyone aside from Harley and Altair. She couldn't trust anyone else. Can you trust them?P "Hei . . ." Altair muttered behind her. Heidi thought she might be hearing things until he started to say her name a second time. "Hei . . ." He sounded distressed. This wasn't good. She was troubling Altair. He was probably hurt by her fall and now she was bothering hi -- large arms wrapped around her body. Heidi couldn't breathe. Altair was hugging her so tightly. Her body tensed up as the urge to cry became too overwhelming. Behind her, Altair started to speak, but choked up. “Hei... di…you’re here... I'm so sorry for leaving you.” With that, her small frame slumped backwards in his arms as the tears poured down her face. He was happy to see her. He felt bad about leaving. She missed him so much. Heidi wriggled in his arms and turned to bury her face in his chest. It smelled just like him. Everything was so familiar and inviting and she couldn't remember the last time she felt this safe and secure, not even with Harley. Harley brought his own sense of peace and tranquility, but not like this. Altair was the first to help her. He was the first to take a chance on her. He and his grandfather gave her a home and tried to make her feel normal. She wouldn't have even met Harley if it wasn't for Altair. "I missed you so much," she managed to tell him a midst the sobbing. She wanted to tell him that he didn't need to apologize, that she appreciated everything he had done for her, but the words wouldn't come out. She just called his name over and over again into the tear-stained shirt on his chest. She shouldn't have waited. Heidi should have approached him the moment she noticed him yesterday, but she was scared. Altair just disappeared. She had feared he did it to get away from her. Part of her knew that wasn't the truth, but the other part had a very strong presence over her rational thinking. @TwilightBlader @Iskandar

Roslind watched in a stupor as the blonde-haired girl from yesterday walked right past her. Did she really not see her? She trailed behind the girl and stood near the edge of the kitchen as she began to make herself breakfast. I know I cannot talk, but I did not realize I was also invisible. It left the priestess slightly irked, but before she could do anything about it, there was a knocking at the front door. Roslind turned in the other direction to answer it, hearing a familiar male voice call out, ⁅Knockity knock knock!⁆ Her feet moved a little bit quicker at the sound of Alistair's voice and she opened the door to see the tall man looming over her. Well good morning, she replied in her head, giving him a wave. Roslind stepped out of the way, allowing him to enter the space. He appeared well dressed, which reminded her that she was not. The realization that she was in night garments not intended for a man to see dawned on her heavily. The temple would be ashamed. Nervously, she pulled at the waste of the plain linen gown and looked around the room. She wasn't sure what happened to her clothes and she very well couldn't ask Alistair about it -- even if she had to ability to ask anyone about anything. There was a firm, yet soft, impact as Heidi felt herself land in the arms of the person below her. She looked up to see Altair's face close to her own. He was smiling with his eyes closed. The fall probably wouldn't have done much damage to her body, but to know he caught her started to make her eyes water. She missed him, a lot. "Oh dear god, that was close." he said, his eyes still closed. "You're safe now, but you should be more careful." Heidi nodded her head, though he didn't seem to see it with his eyes shut. "Are you two alright? That was a crazy fall." came another voice. Heidi looked away from Altair's face to see a girl come to a stop in front of them. She looked like she had been running. "I'm - I'm okay, thanks." Shifting in Altair's arms, she moved to get down. "Altair, you can let me down," she told him. It felt comforting and peaceful to be pressed up against the warmth of his body, but he looked like he was struggling to support her. He had sustained a few injuries in the past and he looked worse for wear. Heidi didn't remember seeing him look so beat up yesterday, but she only saw him from a distance. When he set her down, she kept her hand balled up in his sleeve, not letting go. She didn't want him to disappear again -- not Altair, not Harley. As far as Heidi was concerned, the rest of the people were just enemies. You could always take them out now. . . She shook her head and bit down on her lip. They would go away soon. She just had to hold out for a little bit longer. @TwilightBlader @Iskandar @Morrigan Aensland

Renée had a mouthful of cereal when Tessa joined her in the kitchen. She gave her a small nod and chewed her cereal, swallowing as Tessa greeted her. ⦇Um..morning.⦈ ⦇Morning,⦈ replied Renée between spoonfuls of cereal. ⦇Do you remember what happened?⦈ asked Tessa, ⦇I don't know how I managed to get to bed, or why I can't remember the rest of the day.⦈ Renée shook her head. So Tessachi didn't know either. . . ⦇Not a clue. I'm guessing the fairy-voice-thing did it. Not sure why though. . .⦈ she said before going back to her cereal. Renée's knowledge of the situation was no more extensive than anyone else, but she was more willing to just roll with it. Things were definitely weird, but why not make the most of the situation. ⦇Given the time the alarm was set for, I would imagine we have to go to school again. I don't really like school, aside from art class, but there might be clues or something if we play along. You can do what you want, but I'm going to play along for now.⦈ There was a strange beeping noise and Roslind jumped out of the bed. Panicked, she reached for the dagger sitting on the nightstand and stabbed the source of it. The sound stopped and she looked around, confused as to why she had been in bed. The last thing she remembered was talking to the blonde girl. Another young lady had entered the apartment before the blonde could reply and then she was waking up in bed to the loud noise. She looked down and noticed she was in nothing but a cloth nightgown. Had she disrobed and forgotten about it? Roslind hurried out of her room and into the hallway. Why did the number of things she didn't understand seem to only be increasing? She hoped one of the young ladies could explain things to her, but asking questions was virtually impossible. If only she had some way to communicate with everyone else passed head nods and odd gestures. Heidi woke up to the sight of a sleeping Harley. She smiled and brushed his forehead with her thumb. There was no memory of going to bed, but given their past experiences, she didn't question it this time. Careful not to disturb him, Heidi crawled out of bed and made her way to the bathroom. She needed to take her medicine. It would be a few days before it really started to take affect and she didn't want to put it off. She wanted them gone as soon as possible. There was a glass sitting on the counter by the sink and she turned on the tap to fill it with water. With a big swig, she swallowed down the medication and left the glass in the bathroom. This was Harley's room, so she hadn't expected to find any clothes that would fit her. However, when she opened the closet door, there was a section of shirts hanging up that were her size and a small chest of drawers with women's clothes in them. She changed out of the pajamas she was in, into a clean pair of jeans and a t-shirt. Heidi couldn't remember the last time she had worn clean clothes. She needed to shower, but that was currently the last thing on her mind. Her hair was tied back into a very messy, matted bun and quietly she slipped out of the bedroom. She wanted to find Altair. He might not be up yet, but that just meant she would be waiting for him. Heidi entered the hall of the apartment building to see all the damage that had been done the day before. They had heard the loud crashing noises, but hadn't gone to inspect it. Heidi chalked it up to someone already being dead considering there was also lots of loud screaming. The second floor hallway had a large hole in the middle of the floor. It made it difficult to reach the elevator, she she would have to go in the opposite direction to the staircase. She stood at the edge of the hole for a minute and just stared at it. Heidi didn't understand how someone could make a hole that big. There wasn't anything at the bottom, so the mystery remained. From her position by the hole, she could see a person in the hall downstairs. She shifted back and forth in an attempt to get a better view. Silvery hair and tanned skin poked out from beneath a familiar fedora and her chocolate brown eyes widened. "Altai -- oooooh --- aaaaah-- !" Her foot slipped as she had recognized him and with her bad luck and terrible coordination, she fell through the hole, screaming. @Magick @TwilightBlader @Iskandar @Morrigan Aensland

Renée watched Tessachi bob her knees weirdly and shrugged it off. She was a weird woman, but didn't seem all that bad. Renée chewed on her lip, eyeing her flatmate. ⦇So, do you have a clue what's going on? I dunno how long we have to do this for, but if it's telling us we'll go home then we're obviously not staying here.⦈ What a silly question. Everyone had been freaking out, but if any of them had really paid attention to the strange voice, then there was really no need to panic. ⦇I think this is kinda cool, like a manga or something! I mean, back home I got this magical paintbrush in the mail and I can use it to draw things that come to life or enter the world within pictures which is like super awesome and it makes me feel like a magical girl or something, but everyone else has the exact same power which takes some of the fun out of it. Normally in magical girl animes everyone has a slightly different power and there's super cool wardrobe changes that happen in brilliant sparkling glowing light, but none of that really happens back home. Man I wish it did though -- oh, right I'm rambling again. Anyway, I think we should just try and have fun. It's like an adventure.⦈ she explained in a single breath. Renée had seen the box her paintbrush was kept in, which meant it was here. She would need to test it out, but with everyone freaking out saying they didn't have magic or powers, she had a sneaking suspicion that her paintbrush would be pretty ordinary in this place. Beep, beep, beep, beep. Renée rolled over in bed, slamming her hand down on the snooze button of the alarm clock. That was weird. She didn't remember falling asleep. Her body jolted upright and sleepy blue eyes raced to the window. It was definitely morning light. She looked at the time on the clock and saw that it was just after seven. Had yesterday all been a dream? Quickly, she crawled out of bed and looked around the room. With how similar this room was to her old one, it was hard to tell. Renée stumbled her way to the door and flung it open. The familiar apartment hallway lay before her and she came to the realization that yesterday was not in fact a dream. Why is it morning? Were their memories wiped, or did they somehow just skip to the next morning? That was kinda creepy. It was like a whole section of time just didn't even happen. What other kind of powers does this crazy fairy have, she wondered while pouring a bowl of cereal.

The other girl hesitated. What for? Renée was being friendly! It wasn't fair of her to hesitate when she was so earnestly trying to get to know her new flatmate. She gave a wave and a shy smile before finally speaking. ⦇Hi,⦈ she responded in a quiet voice. ⦇Helloooo,⦈ said Renée, long and slow; egging her on. The big-boobed girl in front of her was clearly older and Renée didn't understand how someone who appeared to be an adult could still be this bashful. Shy people are soooooo boring, she thought to herself. The woman tucked her hair nervously behind her ear before finally responding for real. ⦇Um..I guess I am! I came back to get my gloves,⦈ she clenched her hand, smiling a little more, ⦇because a friend and I were going to investigate that loud noise, did you hear it too?⦈ Renée cocked a tiny blonde brow. Why did she need gloves to investigate? That was weird. She shrugged. ⦇I did. Nearly knocked me out of my computer chair. Was definitely not expecting that. It was like, 'BA-BANG-BANG'! With some loud CA-CRASSSSSSSHHHH.⦈ Her arms flapped around as she tried to explain what the noise sounded like. Renée realized she probably sounded pretty dumb and cleared her throat, her cheeks reddening. ⦇So um...⦈ she mumbled in an attempt to change the subject. ⦇I'm Tessa, by the way.⦈ SAFE! Tessachi changed the subject! She was all clear now. Renée had a smug looking grin on her face as she rested her fists on her hips. ⦇I'm Renée. It's nice to meetcha Tessachi! I dunno how long we'll be like this, but I look forward to roomin' with ya.⦈ She did a little curtsy and her platinum blonde hair fell into her face. Renée brushed the tussled locks out of the way with her fingers and continued to beam up at the woman. Big Boobie-cha -- Tessachi might be an acceptable flatmate if I can break her of her bashfulness. This could be fun. @Magick

♛ I have still yet to find that manga I was searching for with the gay side character. // sighs //
♛ I can't wait until elections are over and it's too late and I don't have to listen to politics anymore.
♛ Are we bitching about work? Also, Bueno, that really sucks. I hope things get better. At the restaurant that I work at, I'm basically the only server. Like literally. There are others, but I work 6 days a week and more often than not, I also work the 7th. We are ridiculously short staffed right now and everyone keeps deciding that they don't want to work, so I end up staying several hours late most days. I typically work until 2 or 4, depending on the day. My husband has irregular end of day hours, so I have to be done by 5 because he could call anywhere between 4 and 9 to say that he's done with work and needs to be picked up (we only have one vehicle), but lately I keep having to stay until whenever he calls, so I work from 10:30-8 or something like that. I've been coming in on my days off, like today -- I got a call at 4 asking if I could come in to work 4-9 and said that I would need a ride in order to do so. My boss picked me up -- and I work a lot of split shifts. I have my 10:30-2 or 4 and then I leave and come back to work 5-9 or something because we're short servers. Right now, I am literally the only person for Saturdays. There is no one to work the night shift whatsoever and I have no backup server for lunch. Last Saturday I had already done over 80 lunches by 2 o'clock, by myself. Which is the most I have ever done solo and our bartender decided she wasn't going to work that weekend so I didn't even have their help. Everyone else can just take days off or call in sick or whatever they want and I have to jump through hoops and make arrangements more than a month in advance in order to take time off. (I have a convention at the end of next month and it's my husband's birthday weekend so I had to find people to work for me and get it on paper this week so that they couldn't back out.) Honestly, I don't understand people. They say they want jobs, but then do whatever they feel like and never work. We hired three new people in the last 2 weeks. The first one worked one two-hour shift and never came back. The other two never even showed up on the first day. I constantly feel like I am the only person that takes work seriously and wants to not be fired for being a lazy piece of shit. I hate people. All I wish for is everyone to get their act together and do their job if they want to be employed. I don't understand people that apply to a place saying they want to work and then do everything they can to get out of it. You're better off just quitting because all you're doing is fucking over everyone else by claiming to still work their.
♛ If you buy me this for Christmas.
Spoiler: I did more things . . .
Adam joined Bonnie in the hallway and they both stared at the large holes left in the apartment building. ❝ I was honestly thinking for a second we had missed Ahriman, particularly Lauren being the host. ❞ Bonnie laughed, agreeing. ❝ True. That host does seem more likely to cause this sort of damage. ❞ From behind them, there was a long familiar meow and they both turned to look. Sitting on the floor of the apartment was Harbonnah's favorite ball of fluff. ❝ You little fucker. ❞ said Adam affectionately. Bonnie laughed as he approached the cat and knelled. Rubbish had been through a lot, even more than some of the Fallen. The poor thing was left at Adam's grandfather's to starve, until he was taken to Hell. Curious how he ended up here as well though. Adam held his hand out for Rubbish to sniff. The cat responded with scratching him, as he always did. With a little more effort, Adam was able to begin stroking the cat as he apologized softly. ❝ I'm sorry for leaving you in Hell... ❞ Bonnie clicked her tongue to the roof of her mouth and walked back into the apartment. She shut the door behind her and knelt beside Adam. ❝ Oh kitty, kitty. It has been far too long. ❞ Most animals did not respond well to Dark Angels, but she had managed to bond with the dirty cat somehow. Bonnie scratched under Rubbish's chin and smiled at the cat. ❝ I suppose you're hungry. ❞ Rising to her feet, she headed back into the kitchen and looked around for something to feed the cat. When she opened one of the cupboards, a large bag of cat food was sitting on the shelf. ❝ Well, that's convenient. ❞ She grabbed a bowl from another cupboard and poured the food into it. Bonnie set the bowl on the floor and clicked her tongue again. @cstar

The large bedroom in the apartment reminded Renée so much of home. A lot of her things were there -- Dio-senpai's painting that she stole --, in addition to even more art supplies. She had her own pottery wheel and there were giant blocks of clay on tables waiting to take shape. Her magic paintbrush was in the same decorative box that it had arrived in through the post and the room had a pleasing scented mixture of vanilla and acrylic. She jumped on the bed in excitement and gazed longingly at the painting made by Dio-senpai. Of all the weirdos here in this new place, she wished that at least one of her senpais would have been here as well. Or at the very least, Halley or Emmy-chan. She really liked both of them, even if they weren't quite as genius as she was yet. Amidst her bed jumping, Renée heard some loud crashing noises and a scream. They startled her and she tumbled off of the bed, onto the floor. ⦇Ow, ow, ow -- what on earth was that?⦈ Standing up, Renée held her wrist in her other hand and frowned. She landed on it in the fall and it was sore now. There was a computer desk near her bed and she took a seat on the chair. Things seemed to quiet down almost immediately and she continued to wonder what all that noise was about. Waking up the computer, Renée discovered that all her save files were on it as well. This was super creepy. It was like someone stole her bedroom and made it even better, but still creepy. She pushed off from the computer desk and her chair rolled halfway across the room. When it came to a stop, she heard the sound of footsteps nearby. ⦇Hm? Is someone there?⦈ Renée got up from the chair and walked to the doorway of her room. She could see someone exiting the other bedroom and walked into the hall to get a better look. ⦇Hey there. Staying here too?⦈ she asked, smiling. @Magick

Did you see? DID YOU SEE IT?? So you know how we don't know what happens to Apollo? There is going to be an eBook series starting in may about...
Bonnie had to resist the urge to laugh at Adam blushing. It was funny how cute it was and she figured by now, he would be over something like that. Apparently not. ❝ I honestly haven't been thinking about dating lately... ❞ he replied. Good answer. If he was honestly thinking about dating, then she would probably have to kill whatever mortal girl he found interest in. Adam was the only one she had ever cared about. Even her bonded mate was strictly out of a sense of duty. The only things angels loved was Father. Emotions were something they learned from watching the humans. There was no guaranteed way of knowing if they truly felt emotions or were just imitating the situation. Bonnie thought she knew, but even she wasn't sure. She watched as Adam grabbed his sandwich again and took another bite before saying, ❝ There is a totty I've been seeing a lot lately though, ❞ Her expression soured. ❝ she's a backpacker and we keep running into each other by chance where we happened to be clearing demons... but I haven't had the bottle to ask her out on the town or something like that... ❞ ❝ I see, ❞ she replied curtly. Adam looked at Bonnie and smiled a bit, ❝ Maybe that was for good reason? ❞ Her features visibly softened and she brushed Adam's cheek with her thumb. ❝ Maybe, ❞ she teased with a smile. Bonnie was about to say more when she heard a couple of loud crashing sounds. She jumped, and looked over at Adam nervously. ❝ What just happened? ❞ Cautiously, she walked towards the front door and stepped into the hall. Above them was a gaping hole in the ceiling. She could see the doors for the second floor and took a step back to avoid any falling debris. Bonnie looked around expecting to see someone hurt on the ground, but instead there was another large hole in the wall for the apartment kiddie-corner to them. ❝ What even -- did we miss Abaddon in the headcount or something? ❞ @cstar

"If it starts making you feel anything other than better, don't take it no more." "Okay," she replied. Harley joined her on his feet and Heidi set the bottle down on the nightstand next to the bed. "Should you take it with food?" he asked. She nodded. "Let's get something to eat. I wonder if there's actually any food in the kitchen . . ." Her stomach growled again and they left the bedroom to head for the kitchen. They had to walk passed the other bedroom where the roommate was staying and round the corner into the living to enter the kitchen. As they cut through the living room, Heidi noticed how well furnished it looked. She never really had the ability to care about things like electronics and such, but everything in the living room looked very new. They walked into the kitchen and started to probe the cabinets and fridge. It was all full. Chocolate brown eyes lit up in delight over all the choices. "So much food..." Heidi didn't know how to cook and she wasn't sure she could wait for Harley to make something. One of the cupboards was filled with snacks and she just started grabbing everything -- crackers, chocolate, chips, fruit snacks, and so much more. From the refrigerator, she grabbed a can of orange soda and used both arms to carry everything to the table. It wasn't the most balanced diet, but who could blame her? Before she died, there was some nuclear bombing and the toxins had killed pretty much everyone. She spent the entire time underground with virtually no food. Now, she was making up for lost time. Heidi opened up bags and started grabbing fistfuls. "Food feels good. I don't remember the last thing I ate." Everyone had been pretty sickly after what happened, even the healthier ones. She was no exception. One of the chips scratched the back of her throat and she coughed. Her hand ran over her neck and she took a deep breath. No one was going to try cutting her throat while she ate. "I don't want to keep thinking about it," she started, staring down at the table full of snacks, "but the paranoia. . . it's hard." She washed down the chip that had irritated her throat with the soda and took a large bite out of the chocolate bar. @Saxima

There was a long pause and Heidi could already predict the answer. If it took him that long to respond then he didn't make it to the end. ". . . No." he finally answered. "I didn't. I don't know who did either." There were a lot of them left when she died. She thought of Madeline and Elliot again. Did one of them win? As much as she hated them for killing her, she kind of hoped one of them had won so that her death wasn't meaningless. Heidi watched as Harley rolled over onto his back and groaned. "This is so depressing." he almost complained, playfully patting her thigh. Her cheeks burned and she looked away. It really was depressing, but she didn't know what sort of conversation to have. They were fighting for their lives and now they just weren't. How were you supposed to just flip gears like that? You know a thing or two about changing gears. ". . . I'm hungry." Heidi lifted her head. It sounded almost childish to hear Harley say he was hungry after everything that had happened. As if to agree with him, her stomach growled noisily and she sat up. When was the last time she ate something. "Food is good." Her body felt sluggish, like she had just finished running a marathon and all of the spent adrenaline was taking its toll and standing was impossible. She pushed herself onto her feet. Before getting food, she wanted to go to the bathroom. She walked across the room to the attached bathroom and shut the door. Heidi stood there, facing the mirror, and breathed. She was doing good right now. Images flashed in the mirror and she shut her eyes. They weren't there. Her small hands wrapped around the edge of the counter and she rocked back and forth. It was okay. She would be okay. They would eat and find Altair and then come up with a plan. They could protect themselves this time. You don't honestly believe that. She needed to believe it. Heidi opened her eyes and noticed a small white paper bag sitting on the counter by the sink. It had a pharmacy tag on it with her name printed in small black letters. Her heart fluttered in her chest. Shaking hands reached for the bag and tore it open. Inside was a familiar orange medicine bottle with a white cap. She read the label and her expression soured. It was her prescription. Her medicine being here was even more disturbing than Harley's CD's. She fumbled to open the lid and dug around for a pill. The bottle said it had a thirty-day dosage. Was that how long they had? Heidi dry swallowed the pill and closed the bottle. Balling her hand into a fist around the bottle, she opened the bathroom door. "Harley," she called for him, "I found something." She approached the tall blond boy and held out the bottle for him to see. "It's my medicine." She didn't know why it was here, but it would help. She would be okay for a little while. When she had her prescription, the voices were almost nonexistent. Heidi was able to live relatively normally. She wanted to believe this place would be a second chance, but the odds of that were slim to none. They couldn't be too complacent. That's how the earliest ones died. @Saxima
