OOC: People pay attention, they just can't do anything about it sometimes. Just depends on the situation, really. BIC: It seemed ages since she had moved, her limbs sore and stiff. She licked her lips, frozen, since she hadn't spoken in a while. Her voice would sound distant and unlike hers when she did speak. What had she been doing all this time? Not like it mattered right now. Time hadn't stopped for her or the others. Even if she was to think back, it didn't matter. It was the past and not like she could change any of her actions (or rather no actions). Kairi smirked to herself, listening to the others talk about corruption. "Not everyone stays corrupted either," Kairi added softly, the strangeness of her voice expected.
Kairi was still in a bit of shock, wondering how she had missed the obvious signs. "So y-you and Riku.. " she muttered, finding it difficult to get the words out. She pointed at Sora, mouth wide open and a perplexed look as though she were about to ask something, but quickly shut it and shook her head with an annoyed mutter. A big smile broke across her face suddenly as she hugged Sora, although a shadow of dissapointment lingered in her eyes, "I'm so glad for you two! Aw, I always knew you two were close! I mean yeah, I'm a little.. annoyed? I suppose, but still, you two would make a cute couple." Monica frowned, "Really? That many? How does anyone intend to carry all of those? Geez, at least check if there are holsters or something.." She seemed to be in a bad mood, glancing up from the little journal she still kept close by, and rubbed her forehead as though she had a headache or something.
"He has a crush on me, doesn't he?" Kairi asked, tilting her head in confusion.
"Sora, you don't have to say any more," Kairi said, looking a bit said, "We always knew it would come down to this... Are you okay?"
"Yeah, Sora, of course," Kairi said, following him, "What do you want to talk about?"
Kairi walked over and gave him a hug, "He'll be fine Sora. He always is."
"18? really? Meh, never too old to die. I still feel like the oldest compared to ya'll" Monica muttered, not really paying attention to Sora. "SOra, are you okay?" Kairi asked.
"Guns? Aren't ya'll a little too young for those things?" Monica muttered, running a hand through her hair, " What am I saying? We're overrun by heartless! Then again putting guns in ya'lls hands still seems more dangerous than Neoshadows.." Kairi didn't know whether to be sad or furious. Those two, what were they thinking? Worried, Kairi was. Riku.. And Eden too of course. She shook her head, "I hope they'll be okay.. This better not make anything worse, for either of us."
"Riku, you can't. It might be too much for you. Besides, even if you can, you need to find your special person first!" Kairi said, pausing for a moment as she felt her cheeks get a bit red. She heard Eden and nodded, "There are other ways. Maybe other survivors can help.." "She's right. This ain't a time for sacrifice," Monica muttered, looking away from them since she felt horrible when she spoke in front of people, "Let's go already.."
Kairi followed them, in case back up was needed, but she would have been useless since all her attention was on Riku and Sora. She looked a little down. Monica followed as well, curious of the events. Her fingers ached from having held the book so long, the book she now had in her pocket. "What;s going on?" she muttered softly.
Kairi, who had been watching the events with alarm, shook her head. "Its like Eden said. My heart was with Sora so I could use the light to call him back. Eden and I don't possess the same link, so really, she'd need to find someone that's close to her. Maybe someone she cares about could actually help her past this.. and her transformation isn't exaclty the same. Most people who turn into heartless do so instantly. Eden isn't. ISn't that a bt strange?" Monica opened her eyes, having fallen asleep from the pain of the wound and the stress of the recent events. She stood up, wincing slightly, and realized the atmosphere had changed. It wasn't the same air of concern of before, but rather worry and fear. Monica frowned. New problems had arised.
Kairi began slashing at heartless too and looked over at the gas station, intending to go check it out before a few heartless got into her path. One of the heartless almost got her leg if she hadn't seen it in time. "Hey! someone should check that place out!" she screamed as she managed to get rid of a few heartless. Her experience in battle was little so she still had to put all her focus into battle.
Monica frowned at the idea of being weaponless for the time being. Still, she understood and made no objection. Even the thought of moving her leg made her cringe in pain. Kairi simply grinned as everyone chose their weapons before wonder what Riku and Eden were talking about.
"I don't understand.. I am sorry.. but why that gun? Its powerful but nothing compared to the laser weapons I threw down. What's so fearful about that gun? Other than i could have," Riku paused, tears still streaming from his eyes, "killed her..."
OOC: *huggles the stuffing out of ya * xD I've missed you T.T And I have a matter of minor importance to speak to you about >.>
OOC: Happy New Year to you too Xeph ^^
Riku started sobbing, "I'm so sorry.. I.. I don't know what came over me.."
"Thanks Sora," Kairi muttered, looking out the window for any more large manifestations of heartless or signs of survivors. Monica sighed, looking relieved to be alive although a bit injured. She clutctched the book tightly to her chest. "I'm Monica by the way, in case anyone was wondering ya know.." She instantly shut her mouth as she realized some commotion came up. Kairi giggled. "At least try to keep your story straigh guys. Now what were you talking about?
Riku kept his eyes locked on Mage but hearing Sora, he put the gun down slowly and finally dropped it on theground. He was shaking and he put a hand over his eyes. "I-I'm sorry.."
Monica hissed at the pain but listened to Eden and nodded. She clutched the book tightly, still in her free hand, which helped bear some of the pain. "Right, but let's go already. I'm afraid more may come if we stay here too long.."
