Vert smiled at the advancing men, their grubby fingers reaching for Vert and her sisters when a gust of wind blew through the open door. Standing in the doorway was a rather unusual bunch. The men blinked and stared as their brains dully registered the new guests. "You're all better off stepping away from the girls before we have to hurt you." "I don't see how breaking a few limbs could ruin their lives any more than it already is. Hmph...why even bother issuing the threat when you'll just have to move them anyway?" Spoiler From the door stood four men... Vert gaped in wonder, "Tsukiyomi Ikuto...Kaname Kuran...Senri Shiki...and Professor Sasori?! My, I didn't think three handsome men would come to save us. You're all from my sisters' school aren't you?" Senri shot her an indifferent look and stepped forwards, "Seriously, if I get a single stain of blood on my shirt you'll be hearing from my agent." "Yes, yes...just get the job done. Cleanly, I might add." Each of the men nodded but only Senri and Ikuto stepped further into the dance area. "C'mon...we're leaving with you all." Noire set her hands on her hips, "And why would we go with any of you! First of all...none of you look even old enough to be in this place!" "You're one to talk... C'mon...let's just leave." Ikuto took hold of her arm and tugged lightly. Kaname placed himself between the girls and the men, "Get lost." It was all that he needed to say and the men scrambled backwards, fleeing into the crowd of dancing people. He turned towards the girls with glowing red eyes and simply glared at them. Vert turned her gaze away from the threatening Kaname's cold glare and past Senri's distracted indifference towards Sasori speaking with the woman that had accompanied them. "Who's that?" She would have to wonder to herself as no one seemed willing to answer. "So you believe your end of the bargain is paid in full, hm? Are you really that naive?" The black haired woman tapped the end of her pipe against her lips, "Let's just say I'm not entirely sure about that one's motive. But...when he reveals his hand I'll know it," She smiled down at Sasori's frown and patted his head, "Oh don't look so down in the mouth, Sasori, you'll give yourself wrinkles! Oh, who am I kidding, you're not even alive anymore...are you?" He continued to frown, "You believe you know all the hidden corners of everyone. It makes me sick how pathetic you are." Her smile vanished and she flicked her fingers against his chest, "You should have more respect. You do still owe me for what I did for you." At that, Sasori flinched, though only slightly. "Devious woman."
Luce glared at Scott, of course she couldn't be all that angry since they had made the right call. "You bet your @ss I'll be checking my stuff." Mentally she tore down all the notices to change the oil and get the belt checked in her car. She'd spent a good majority of her time working the bar, dealing with perverted idiots and complicated drinks for the money to buy that car. "Stupid Adam and his human torch fingers...swear I could just..." she muttered and continued muttering as Scott dragged her towards the car. Luce stared at Alexis and awkwardly looked away from her sister. "Well that's...I mean..." How do you normally explain to your overly b!tchy sister that you actually wanted to sleep with your not-so-much-brother. Sighing, she decided to just chuck the entire denial factor out the window, "Yes, Alexis...very eager. If you have a problem with that...maybe you should wear ear plugs at night." Being hateful was unnecessary but it was better than being embarrassed. It wasn't something she liked admitting. After all...how could she have known that after five years of living with three other men, she'd actually want to be with another of their foreign species. Her eyes drifted to Cat, another of her new sisters that she didn't exactly like. She frowned, Lenny wouldn't have let her out of the Roadhouse so early for something as worthless as this. Was he here? Dread and fear pulsed in her heart. Lenny wouldn't like what she'd done...he would know...he would just know! She kept her distance from the jeep Cat had arrived in and poked her head into Adam's car. She dug through the sack that was obviously packed with her things from her car. Only a small sigh of relief escaped her as her hands touched both of her pistols. Miss me boys? Digging further into the bag, she found her pack of cigarettes and an assortment of other things she needed from her glove box and several of the weapons she'd been keeping in the trunk of her car. Plucking the hair tie from the bottom of the bag and tugging her hair up into a tight ponytail. "Seems like everything's here...cept for my car and the fake ID's I taped to the bottom of the passenger seat." Even if Luce decided to make good on Scott's promise...she would have to remember to pay him back for her destroyed car. "All that strength and not one ounce of it went into saving my poor car." She kept one of her pistols with her, shoving it into the waistband of her jeans. "I'll make sure to get full payment for that car," she said looking pointedly at Scott.

Luce frowned when he complimented her smile. She'd never been told that before. She opened her mouth to retort but nothing came out. Struggling with the few words he had said, Luce stood still as he took a few steps back towards the car. She was jerked forwards as he moved. Surprised, Luce took a few steps forwards to catch herself and stared with wide silver eyes at her hand clasped in his. Warmth seeped up her neck to her face, "Um...I'm not complaining exactly but...you should probably let go. I'm not exactly in control all the time with my powers and...I don't think it would be a good thing if you dropped dead." As awkward as the situation already was, Luce actually didn't want to let go. Avoiding his gaze, she allowed a small childish moment to surface and bounced to stand beside him. Leaning into his side, she hugged his arm and squeezed his hand without a word. Second date my @ss... What happened to a date being going out to a place to eat or a movie? Pfft...yeah right...our kind in a movie theater? I must've hit my head harder than I thought when we rolled... On that thought, Luce lifted a threatening scowl up to Scott, "Scott...where's my car and everything in my car?" She felt dread seep into her stomach, "So help me if you tell me you left it there in the road for those filthy humans to tow away and examine, I'll tear your head off right now."
Luce stared at him for a moment as he turned a dark red. Chalking it up to him being weird, she adjusted his jacket, shoving her arms through the sleeves and as she looked down to zip it closed she noticed why he'd started to act funny. Exposed...it wasn't a word she used very often since it held very little meaning to her. She sighed, leaving the zipper alone for now and lifted her gaze to Scott again. He'd turned his head away from her to give her some semblance of privacy...but he was still a red color in the cheeks. "Oh grow up. You're worse than a teenager seeing his first naked chick." At the mention of the promise she'd made him make, she shifted uncomfortably from foot to foot and a previous thought came back to her. "You said I was your first kiss... Does that also mean...?" She tried to contain her smile, "That's cute... Scott's a virgin." It was a little funny calling him cute...but today was a funny kind of day. Only a small smile remained on her lips, but it was one her other siblings hadn't seen ever. Lenny was the only one she allowed herself to smile in front of...but it was just too adorable not to smile at Scott. She reached up and took hold of his chin, pulling his gaze back to hers, "I already told you I don't bite very hard. But if you sleep with me...a beating will seem like nothing." Aside from the lewd tone already filling the air, a part of Luce was holding him to that promise. Pushing Scott in the direction she wanted was easier than she thought possible. It was simple with ordinary humans...just a flick of the finger and a sultry glance had them chomping at the bit, but was it really that easy with her own kind? Not that she often wondered how easy it was for women to get Adam into their beds...probably not that hard...but it was strange to think of Scott never having that experience. Guilt ate at her insides. If she did sleep with Scott...she would be his first. But that was a bi--well maybe not that big of an if. Firsts were supposed to be gentle...nice, filled with warmth and love. Or something like that. Not that her first had been anything warm or loving like how she imagined. She wanted to give him that experience...or the option for it at least. "You probably shouldn't hold that promise too tightly though. I'm sure there are plenty of women in the states willing to...." Who was she kidding? As if she'd let other women give him a side-long glance...let alone sleep with him. "That's not very nice Lucy..you should share your toys." But he wasn't a toy...and definitely not hers. Her smile faded and she patted his cheek, "I'm sure you don't think it's such a big deal..." Letting go of his face, she zipped up her jacket and donned a tight-lipped smile, "Sorry about flashing you. Usually I wait until the second date for that."
Luce growled at him, turning her head to glare at him over her bare shoulder as she lifted her left fist to shake menacingly at him, "I'll show you hit like a girl." He pushed on her shoulder and she had to suppress her natural desire to bite his hand and shove him away. She shivered, goosebumps forming on her skin as cold water touched her flesh. "Th-that's great Scott...is this necessary? I'm going to freeze." Maybe he'd forgotten where they were. Forest or no...isolation didn't mean pouring cold water on her. 'If this is some sort of freakish fetish of his I'm going to kill him in his sleep!' Luce bit her tongue as he spread what she hoped was burn cream on her back. "Gosh...you always get to touch me and I never get to touch you. Seems pretty unfair to me. Aren't you always whining about being fair? No?" Making an uncomfortable situation hostile was Luce's special ability. Or at least she liked to believe so. Memories of slurs of curses and hazy faces flooded her hearing and vision. She bit down hard on the inside of her cheek until she tasted blood and the memories faded away. Scott wasn't like those men...he wasn't pushy...he wasn't violent with her and so far she hadn't heard him curse at her yet. "No...you can't peek at me no matter what. If I'm giving you permission for something like that I'm possessed or wasted. I wouldn't trust my judgement." She listened to him mumble that her tattoo was broken and fear ran like ice through her veins. She half turned, trying to crane her neck around to see her back, "Wh-what?! That b@stard, he promised he wouldn't!" 'Gaara...!' She scoffed when he mentioned fixing it tomorrow. "Tomorrow?! Are you insane? I need this fixed as soon as possible!" Her paranoia kicked in full force. Without that tattoo, she was vulnerable to possession...she wasn't safe! Why didn't Scott see that? Her thoughts ran dark and the chill on her skin bothered her even more. What if Scott was possessed...and this was his way of getting her too. Alone...away from the others...her tattoo disturbed...a perfect set up. But those thoughts were silly.... He moved closer to her, wrapping the bandages around her. She had to unfold her arms for him to wrap them around her and thus she felt uneasy. His warmth radiated off him and helped restore some of the warmth back to her cold body. When he apologized she almost asked why. Asking questions wasn't going to help her when he was going to explain anyways. "Hmph...maybe I should hit you a few more times to fix that. If you're in a coma you can't make me feel like this." She waited until he was finished and turned around to face him, not all the bandages covered her chest as they were focused on covering her burns on her back, but she didn't care at the moment. "All done, right? There's no need for more...okay? You should...probably take a step back or two.... I'd rather not feel like I'm cornered."

Luce watched him warily. She'd never heard that story from Scott before...or from Lenny. Was it true? No, of course it was true. Scott had never spoken that much that fast in one sitting. It was strange listening to him talk so much. Oddly reminded her of her father reading interesting stories out of the newspaper...which now that she thought about it...were all strange murder cases. Even if her father didn't know what killed his wife, Luce's mother, he had never stopped looking for the perpetrator. Shutting her eyes, she begrudgingly listened. The most she got out of his words after his story was that she was Jessica's substitute. That was fine...she didn't need much...being someones substitute worked just fine for her. He took her clenched hand and she opened her eyes, glaring at him with icy blue eyes. He held her fist close to his face, was he stupid? Luce growled, pulling her hand from his, "Set your jaw," she demanded. Swinging her fist, she hit him square in the jaw. She had no idea if her strength would break his jaw...which was why she'd asked him to set his jaw before she hit him. Luce didn't want to break any teeth out. All she knew was he'd fall...his jaw would swell...the damage extent was unknown. "I have to get kidnapped and nearly die for you to tell me how you actually feel?! What are you, a moron? You see this rip?" She tugged on the large tear in her jeans at her thigh, "There was a piece of glass sticking through my leg! You remember these burns?!" she shoved up the sleeves of the jacket and held out her arms, her palms up, "For seventeen years of my life I thought if I didn't feel pain I couldn't feel anything at all. Yet I still cried when my father hit me. I still begged when I was raped for the first time. I still screamed when blood from multiple lacerations decorated my body the first night it wasn't enough." While she was crossing the line of too much information..."Your sister...she's better off dead rather than living with the shame of being subjected to something like that. It would've eaten away at her soul. That kindness you saw in her...would've eroded away and made her just like me or worse...she'd wish she was dead for the rest of her life." She panted, out of breath from her heated yelling when his words hit her. Despite the awkward feeling she couldn't quite describe from listening to him tell her, at least, that he loved her, Luce's ears heated and she folded her arms over her chest, "You'd better not damage my tattoo. And don't you dare peek at me without my permission! And no touching anything that isn't my back. I so much as feel your hands wander and I'll hit more than just your face!" Turning her back to him, Luce drew down the zipper of the jacket and let it drop to the ground. She immediately folded her arms over her bare chest and glared at the bark of the tree. "It doesn't matter either way. Lenny's going to have me locked up and probably stuck in the Roadhouse for breaking his rules. I'll be lucky if he doesn't put a bullet in my head himself."
"Monster! You're nothing but a monster! Get out! I said get out, Lucy!" Luce flinched at the word monster, but it perfectly described her. 'I know what I am... Monster...demon-spawn...call it what you will. It's better than being a human.' Her thoughts were hateful but the memory that surfaced was even more so. She walked with Scott, ignoring Cat and the arrival of the familiar jeep. She met Scott's stern look with an uncaring one of her own and a sigh escaped her lips. More alone time with Scott...yeah, that's what she needed. Venting her problems by pushing Scott to the ground wasn't going to help anyone. Seeing Gaara if he was still hanging around wasn't going to help either. Scott would act first and listen to her later. Instead, she trailed after Scott, letting the memory that came with the word monster fill her head. Her father, drunk and hateful himself, shoved her towards the door. A few days stubble was left on his face. She could see the dark circles under his eyes from not sleeping for days on end. She often heard him rattling around in the kitchen when she was supposed to be sleeping. It was the second day he hadn't come up to read to her. The loneliness ate at her heart and shown clearly through her blue eyes as she looked up to her father pacing in front of the stove. He scratched at his stubble, paused and hovered his hands over the knobs for the gas before shaking his head and starting to pace again. He would do this several times a day, sometimes mumbling to himself but it never ceased to frighten her. What was he thinking? Why did he pause like that over the stove? "Daddy?" her voice was tiny...weak...shy...afraid. He stopped pacing and knelt in front of her, "What's wrong Lucy, dear? Did you have a bad dream?" His concern was real as he touched her cheeks with his rough hands. Frowning, Luce looked out the window at the gloomy day...but day nonetheless. "It's day time, Daddy. I was at school." He followed her gaze and rubbed his eyes as if the sun would suddenly disappear and reveal that it really was night. "Oh..." Standing, he patted her head of long silver hair and glanced at the clock. It read: 10:23 am. "But it's...Lucy, why are you home so.... What are you doing here, sweetheart? Shouldn't you be in school still? Your teachers don't like it when you skip classes." Luce turned her face away from his questioning brown eyes. "They told me to go home. They told me...to go get my Daddy." The longer Luce avoided his eyes, the more nervous the man seemed to get. He knelt in front of her again and cupped her face in his hands, "What did you do? Tell me," when she continued to keep silent, his patience snapped, "TELL ME!" Startled and frightened, tears streamed down her face immediately, "I didn't mean to! She was yelling at me...she said I had old lady hair. She said I was stupid and uglier because my mother was dead. I only touched her...it wasn't my fault!" She was pulled into a tight hug, squishing her tear-streaked face against his shoulder. "Tell me what happened after that. Why did they send you home?" At the first physical contact...sign of affection...from her father in a long time, Luce was reluctant to answer. Suddenly, she was shoved away from the warmth of her father. She was pushed into the wall and slapped. Shock delayed tears that should've come quickly. "Answer me!" "I don't understand!" she wailed finally, "She went to sleep, that's all! I touched her and she went to sleep! She stopped yelling at me, stopped pulling my hair, stopped making fun of me! I don't understand why you're so angry!" "Enough..." Luce had to force back the rest of the hurtful memory. That day had been a non-stop beating, emotionally and physically, she wasn't about to relive it all in one day. Looking around, Luce found herself in the woods surrounding the house, alone with Scott and his medical supplies for her burns. "Why do you bother? I'm not dead yet of infection...why should it worry me now? I swear...you forget I was in a car accident... I had several lacerations when I woke up and a piece of glass sticking through my leg. If I'm not keeling over yet...I probably won't. You're wasting your time with this." Biting her lip, another thought came to her, "Why did you kiss me in the first place? If you hadn't done that before....none of this would've happened. And I swear, if you say 'it's because I care about you' I'm going to knock you out. What do you get out of getting yourself involved with me? There are dozens upon millions of women out in the world that have looked twice at you that you could've used for this." She curled her hand into a fist, prepared for his stupid answer.
I'll be playing as Midna. I've okay-ed it with Bueno. I guess I'll post sometime tomorrow.
Luce turned quickly and lifted her hand as if she were about to catch the bottle. Instead it stopped mid-air, "I don't need a filthy human's charity." Closing her hand, the bottle crumpled in on itself rather quickly. She took a moment to stare at her hands. Was it really her power doing all this? Her heart beat faster but she wasn't sure if it was thrilling or frightening to know her power was capable of stronger things like this. If it was like this with only twenty four hours of gulping down pure demon blood...how much stronger would she get if she kept at it? She wouldn't need to endanger her brothers or Lenny anymore. Luce listened to him and a tiny part of her wished he could put a bullet in her...but not yet. "Heh...you can damn well try, little mutt. I'd give you my entire savings if you could just put a bullet in my sisters' head." It was disgusting how little the stupid human knew. He really didn't know Lenny at all. "Why doesn't the insipid mutt keep his grubby thoughts to himself. No one wants to hear the desperate ramblings of someone trying to get on Lenny's good side." Anger...no, something else...she couldn't describe it at all. "Hunters cannot kill my kind. And I doubt you'd be able to beat me down...ever." As if to emphasize her chilly tone, a cold Minnesota wind rustled through the trees, pushing her silver hair across her face. Luce wasn't about to let a filthy human kill her before she could kill the monster that made her like this. She wouldn't stop...not ever until Azazel was dead and then....then things would be over for her and her family. She would know what to do after it was over. Until then...she would make sure her brothers, sisters, Lenny and Scott never got hurt by his hand ever again. That demon had taken everything from her...it was time she took some of it back. Turning back to Scott and the car, she shoved him towards the vehicle. Luce didn't want to waste more time communicating with the filthy human.
Letting Scott drag her along, she shivered as the human spoke. He would never be Johnny to her...always just the human. Besides Luce's aversion to men that weren't her family, she simply didn't like humans. They knew nothing of their plight. Nothing of the real world around them and yet they acted superior. Luce would be the demon she was born to be...and if that meant harnessing her disgust for humans then so be it. Luce's blue eyes slid to the side as she turned her head just barely to see him, there was no way in Hell she was going to let him pour whiskey on her and touch her with those bandages. Reigning in her burst of emotion, Luce was caught off guard by Scott's whisper. She jumped and growled at him, "You're pretty dumb if you think I'm just going to stand by and let you get yourself killed one day." Lifting her head to glare at him, she completely forgot about her sorrow just moments before. Her eyes were wet and red but her old anger was quite real. "If anyone's lying here, it's you, Scott. If you think I'm going to let you take one step out of the Roadhouse with an attitude like that, you're sorely mistaken. I'll cuff you to your bed if need be."
Sorry, could you edit your last post. There's no way Johnny could've seen Luce's burns in the house.
Luce opened her mouth to protest when he started dropping uncomfortable questions. Or rather...just the one. But it was a big one. Her desire faded to a dull hum at the core of her body and she frowned at him. What did she...feel for him? Immediately her mind rejected any form of attachment she felt towards him, but her chest tightened. She already knew quite well how she felt. But...Luce had convinced herself it was a crush and would go away. Having feelings for her brother was wrong...even if they weren't blood related....but that had been before he told her he thought about her as more than just his sister. Her jaw clenched as her mind spun around the question. He was going to get suspicious if she took too long. "I..." she hated herself, "I don't know what you mean," loathed her very being, "Please don't try to make this about feelings. This is a one-night-no-strings-attached kind of thing." How could she possibly tell him the truth. She was disgusting. "Do you always make things suddenly personal like this? I know things got a little heated but--" She stopped. She had to. "You're the first person I've kissed." Didn't that mean... No...you could still sleep with someone and never kiss them. He was just saying that to make her feel like they had a bond. Her gaze dropped to the ground, pulling her hand out of his. But if it was true... Luce lifted a hand to cover her mouth. She pressed her palm over her lips to stifle a sob. Before she could even stop herself, tears had sprung to her eyes on the verge of spilling over to the brim. How could she...? Old memories of her own first kiss flooded her head. How unnecessarily cruel it had been. His lips had been chapped and bleeding...his tongue tasted foul and she'd gagged on it several times. And now she'd practically done the same. Luce clutched at the jacket she wore and blinked rapidly, trying to quiet the storm of emotion in her heart. Of course she liked him...more than she should have. So much it had hurt to think she'd never see him again. It hurt when she lied to him...and it hurt even worse to think she'd stolen something from him. She should not have been the one he chose to give that to. Luce considered herself unworthy of any form of affection. Even Lenny's was difficult to accept without a bit of resignation. But this was worse than when she'd blurted out if Lenny loved her. It was selfish to ask for more. Dropping her chin to her chest, her silver hair fell around her face without the usual hair tie that kept it in a tight ponytail. None of her family had ever seen her cry before...and she wasn't about to let them see it now. She was a wreck when she cried. Her shoulders shook even as she suppressed sob after heart-broken sob. Turning her back to Scott, she held onto her lust and swallowed down her real feelings. "I don't love you if that's what you're asking me."
I asked Bushy and he said it was fine for me to play Kakashi.
Croire's House: Croire hung up the phone rather confused. "Well that was the weirdest thing ever." "Wh-what was?" "My stupid sister. I wonder why she'd bring up that worthless man of hers. Anyway, it's none of your business! Did you put that shelf in the proper place?" "U-um, well...it's really heavy and I..." Croire hopped up onto the back of a chair and smacked the silver haired young woman on her head with a closed fist, "Idiot!" Glitter: Vert's eyes couldn't focus with the blinding and flashing shades of light pulsing from green to purple to yellow and orange and blue. The timing on the color change was completely random as well as the order of the changing colors. Someone shoved the girls from behind, forcing them further into the large room. Noire held a hand to her head, "What is this?" She looked around at the blissfully happy dancing people and started to laugh, "Hehehehe...what is wrong with these people?" A group of men wandered over to them, they looked dazed and their smiles were lazy, "Hey...you ladies are really pretty.... Oh wow...is your friend high already? Hey...I heard that it feels really good when you're high. You wanna come with us?" Noire struggled to take them seriously, "Are you nuts?" "My sister doesn't want to go anywhere with you. And what do you mean high? We haven't taken anything." They gave her a funny look, "High on the lights, girly. What...you came here and didn't know about it? Dude...you stumbled on something good. Wait, how did you get in if you didn't know?" Vert looked to her twin, "We have a membership card. The nice man at the front gave it to us." Their jaws dropped, "Virus gave one to you? Oh man....these chicks are awesome." Space for Lease: Kabukicho District: Spoiler Breaking down the door to a long abandoned club that was going to be rented out sometime, the three ANBU members flooded inside, turning their heads to survey the entire room. "Spread out...find him." They nodded and hurried off in opposite directions. Hearing a scream, all three converged on the dance floor. They stopped just inside the room and started at the white haired man holding two children to his sides, "AH....you came. I knew you would. It's such a shame...this..." The ANBU tensed as he moved one hand to cup the little girl's cheek. She whimpered, lifting dark brown eyes up to their masked faces. "Where is my dear brother?" "We don't know who that is...or where he is. Albedo Piazzolla...come quietly or we'll have to use force. Let the children go first." He looked down on them and smiled, "Now why would I do that? No...I'll let them go...yes. I'll let them go to join my sweets in the afterlife." "Now, Tenzo!" One of them clapped his hands together, "Wood Style: Silent Strangle Jutsu!" Holding out his arm, it quickly transformed and extended as a branch of wood, wrapping around Albedo. "Children, come on!" The little ones shook off Albedo's now restrained grip and ran to the Wood Style using ANBU member's side. "Ninja Art: Super Beast Scroll!" A bird rose up from a scroll the shorter ANBU member held and flew out the door, "Our coordinates and details will be given to Taicho..." Pulling off his mask and hood to let fluffy silver hair poof up and a Sharingan eye blaze forth, the ANBU member patted Tenzo's shoulder once as he approached Albedo, "Senpai?" "Don't worry. Now...tell me where the other children are. Where did you hide them?!" "Hm? I don't have any other children. In fact....if you hadn't come...these two would've ended up just like the others." He stopped and shut one eye, leaving his Sharingan to stare into Albedo's eyes, "You've done enough talking for now." Staring at the Sharingan, Albedo's head dropped to his chest as he fell under his Genjutsu. "There were others...he said so himself. Let's leave it to the others to rummage around in his head. C'mon...let's take him back to--" "Fooled you." "What?" "Senpai, look out!" Albedo tore through the wood holding him and clawed out towards Kakashi. Ducking, Kakashi leapt back to maintain distance from him. Opening his mouth, Albedo spit out a half bitten off tongue and flicked his newly regrown tongue across his lips, "I would've never known Kakashi Hatake was the one behind all those investigations into me. I see why they call you the Copy Ninja...but can you copy enhanced cellular growth?" The three took a step back, keeping the children out of his line of sight.
Every word that dropped from his lips made her blood burn hotter under her skin. Half of it anger, the rest a raw craving. How had she forced down and ignored this half of herself for five years? She should get a gold medal. She was doing so well at resisting...and now she'd thrown it all to the wind simply because...a tiny demon told her not to allow him near her. A tiny...jealous demon that she was enjoying disobeying. And then...he stood up, with her still latched onto him. Luce reflexively clutched at him. Her mild anger fading as rapidly as it had come. 'Not here', 'Let me help you'...she hated those words. She tightened her hold on him and bit the fleshy part of his ear, "It's always 'not here' and 'let me help you' with you. Why can't it be here? Why won't you let me help you for a change?!" Though a rational part of her mind knew why it couldn't be here, she didn't want to act on rationality. Her hold slipped and she moved against him purposefully. She wanted a reaction out of him more than she wanted to stop the nagging pain in her back. Luce didn't want to listen to his reasoning. "The Roadhouse would be better for that." Her breath caught in her throat and she looked up at him with hopeful, blue eyes. "You promise...?" Promise or no...she was going to get something out of this night if it killed her. A devious smile played on her lips. Slowly letting go, Luce tucked her face against his neck, "You can't be nice to me...I don't like nice," she purred and rolled her tongue across his adam's apple. She paused, a thought crossing her mind before she quickly discarded it and moved on to a new one. She didn't want to let go of his neck, but it was getting hard to stand on her toes just to tease him. "If you want to help me...you'll stop trying to push me away and give me what I need most," releasing one arm from around his neck, she grabbed hold of the zipper on his jacket she wore, "I'm not opposed to a little harsh treatment. I swear I don't bite....very hard." Nipping his chin, she started to unzip the jacket.
Croire's House: Croire rubbed her eyes and scowled at the phone, "The hell are you talking about? I haven't scarred anyone...." She turned her head when a young woman with long silver hair handed Croire a sheet of paper with a name scribbled on it. "Ohhhhh...that guy. Oh, why are you calling me about some old, stupid thing. I did it cause I hate your guts. What does it matter? The moron passed out really quickly." She frowned into the phone, "He had such an amazing tolerance for drugs...I'm surprised he was still alive after the amount I ended up giving him." Glitter: Glitter was a pure black club with bright neon purple lights on the outside. Just inside the door where was a hallway where people sat on black leather cushioned benches. The uneven boom of the bass sounded through the walls. Behind the group, Virus had followed them inside, his smile urging the girls forwards. He ushered the girls down the short hall and around a corner to a door that seemed to vibrate from the intense sounds coming from behind it. His smile faltered slightly, "I issue caution when spending time here." Virus plugged his ears with ear plugs and held open the door. Behind it was a huge dance floor with several towering speakers and giant spot lights that pulsed green, purple, red, yellow and orange. The music was an array of high pitched shrieks, uneven booming bass, and several other mixtures of sounds that made the music sound less like music and more like a throb of insanity. But none of the dancing people seemed to even care as they moved and writhed with the music. Vert and Noire shivered at the sudden on-slaught of sound and bright lights. "This music...what's wrong with it?" Vert yelled over the sound so she could be heard. Virus shrugged and waved to his plugged ears. Pushing them fully inside, he smiled and shut the door.
She was feeling pleased until he pulled away from her without responding to her more than she wanted. Disappointment and anger made her scowl at him. Besides acting weird, Scott hadn't responded the way he had the first time they kissed. And again, he brought up tending to her wounds. Letting her arms slip from around his neck, she grabbed the front of his shirt, "No. They'll heal overnight...forget about the burns." She inched closer to him, "Please...Scott, you're the only one." A twinge of disgust pulsed in her heart as she repeated a line she'd heard herself say several times a day. Funny how something that haunted her and was so difficult before came so easily to her lips now. Covering his hand with her own, Luce pulled his hand away from his chest and pressed her cheek to his palm. "Please..." Turning her head, she pressed a kiss to his palm. She knew that look, the quiet tone of his voice. For a big, strong Acolyte, Scott had a weak will when it came to things like this and she was going to exploit it. Leaning closer to his face, she kept the pleading expression visible and pressed a light kiss to his lips. "It doesn't hurt that much..." Her heart beat loudly and as if to prove her point, she lowered his hand from her cheek to her chest. Luce held his hand to her heart, letting him feel how fast it was beating. "It hurts far more somewhere else." Keeping her voice low, Luce pushed, or rather...made Scott push until his control would break. Scott was different...he cared about her, he insistently believed there was a good girl underneath the layer of hate and self-loathing she kept wrapped around her like a blanket. She pursed her lips, "If you want to carry me...you're going to have to pacify me first." Shoving, rather hard, on his shoulder, Luce shoved him to the ground and sat on his stomach, "Scott, forget about the burns."
Flooded with everything she was hearing, Luce's emotional capacity nearly shut down as Scott told her he cared about her. That was the second time he'd said something like that. He ran a hand through her hair and she suppressed a shiver. She stared at his face, uncertain if he was even real. It wasn't a question of if he was honest. Luce knew Scott wouldn't lie directly to her face. Not about something as sensitive to her as the nature of their relationship. Luce cherished her siblings and Lenny more than her own life. He smiled at her and warmth flooded her body. Inwardly, she cursed at herself. What an awkward time to be aware that she'd never been with another in the years she'd started living with Lenny. Her body ached for another's touch. Her heart skipped a beat and sped up. Recoiling into herself, she released Scott's clothing and hid her hands away in the long sleeves of his jacket. Down Luce... Is what she told herself but it didn't help much. She felt swallowed by the pressing lack of human contact throughout the years. Every inch of her body quivered and felt stretched tight. Her nerves felt like someone had set them on fire. All this over a smile and a few touches....she was going to lose this battle. Shutting her eyes for a moment, she let out a shaky breath. When she opened her eyes again, she'd cast aside the awkward, timid, fear that ate at her every night. He said she couldn't hurt him....as much bullsh!t as that was, Luce knew how to reign in her strength. Hating herself, Luce flung out her arms, wrapping them around his neck and pulled him closer. Gaara wasn't going to like it but in her current state, she didn't care. She kissed him. Forcefully and rough, exactly as she was taught. He said something about his birthday....it wasn't something Luce had marked on her calendar but...it must've meant something to Scott other than the day they were born into a world that would constantly be throwing middle fingers at them. Something other than the day that had ruined the rest of their lives. Shoving her fingers into his hair, she alternated kisses on his lips, desperately trying to pull a response from him. She was the strongest of their family currently.... She'd always been one of the physically stronger of them but now all of her abilities surpassed those of her siblings. She should be able to have whatever she wanted, either with her powers or simply by being the oldest there... Why should she squish down the need for one thing when she was on top of the world? Dragging her tongue across his lips, Luce urged him to open his mouth. She liked how he tasted...if that was weird, she wouldn't have known otherwise. Unlike Adam, Scott didn't constantly smell like one thing. She enjoyed variety...always had.
