While sitting and daydreaming on a bench in the garden, Allison was yanked back to earth by the tone of her phone signalling a text message being received. She quickly opened it up and read Harley's message. I don't know if that's a good idea. I'm pretty sick. Might be contagious. Maybe it's the 'coccus imaassus' We can still text, though. Sorry, Alli. - Harley Pretty sick. Allison wasn't really buying it. He got sick within the span of a single night? Did he finally contract an STD? Oh god that guy. Nah he'd be sensible to wear protection. He's not that stupid. Still, she was saddened that they couldn't talk more face to face. Or rather, he didn't want to see her. And what the hell is imassus? Still, he seemed pretty serious about not seeing her today. He didn't even joke about being falsely older than her. Though she was a bit happy that he allowed texting. Getting up from the bench, she decided to hang out some place warmer, but wasn't sure where. While standing, she texted Harley back trying to decide where to go and whether she should visit him anyway. What the fudge is coccus imaassus? And would you be mad if I visited you anyway? You can't be that sick so fast. There. She had actually asked him. The die has been cast. Welp might as well wait and see what he says first before leaving. She thought sitting back down on the bench.
Allison woke up surprisingly earlier than she normally did despite how late she went to bed. I feel weirdly great. She decided that as comfortable as the bed was, she felt like doing something today and so she got dressed and left the room as quietly as she could, not wanting to feel Elizabeth's wrath. For the sake of checking because she was curious if she had received any text messages, she found to her surprise and delight that she did. Oh I hope it's not an automated text or something. Hey. Sorry I didn't say goodbye last night. I was tired. And had a girl over. Well, you probs didn't want to know that. Ahg, Alli. Life, you know? - Harley Allison stared at the words with a dumbfounded face. Really, Harley? Really? Could you possibly be more lonely and desperate than me? God, how MANY people have you been SLEEPING with since we arrived?! ARE YOU THAT MUCH OF A MANWHORE. She thought angrily annoyed as her face contorted into an angry gritted face before shifting back into her normal stoic face. She sighed as she responded to him. Well, i didn't say bye to you either. Felt tired too. Should we meet again today? Now that Harley had brought her mind back to the party last night, she remembered hearing that strange girl's voice again. She had said something unintentionally loudly. A certain John Quincy was found dead at the Astronomy Tower. Right where she had followed the police. So someone else really did find him. And she and a few others had found the body. Man, that's rough. It was rather unfortunate that most everyone had overheard the girl as she had stated this just as the overall noise of the room had subsided. Allison had been there a couple times. Always awkward stuff. Hissing as she remembered a few said moments, Allison headed to the Heliocanthea again after breakfast. Maybe Harley would assume to meet there again unless he had a better place in mind. Assuming he wanted to meet again.
Allison noticed that it was getting somewhat late and Quintus seemed occupied with Marcus, so she decided to to maybe talk and possibly hang out with them some other time. She looked around and saw lots of other people getting the same idea. I wonder how all of this is going to be cleared away? Is Marcus going to do it all? She was about to make her mind up about staying after and helping the poor guy, but- it had been sort of long day. Forced awkward social interaction tires a person out, and Allison was getting somewhat exhausted. The chase after Harley didn't help. Seeing as Harley was also leaving, she waved goodbye to him and went back to the dorm and did her usual bedtime routine before falling fast asleep on the bed. Some time in the future, they would have a long discussion about things, but for today she let it go on his part. He probably needed a well deserved break from even thinking about his problems, much less share about them with her.
OOC- DON'T WORRY COOKIIE. I'LL SAVE YOU. "Anthony huh? A hero eh? Heh sounds pretty cool," she replied with a smile. Allison then noticed that Anthony and Harley seemed to know each other. Oh interesting. And he's already got a title, sort of...hero of the hot springs? I should ask him about that some time. She thought as Harley began interacting with another spectator girl that was behind them. Turning around, Allison glanced at her before realizing she was thirsty and excused herself to get her favorite drink, Mountain Lightning. The girl she saw seemed sort of dangerous and rebellious? I'm sure she's a nice person. Though Allison clutched the top of her bag tighter. She always held the top whenever she had it on her, which was almost all the time. It did carry all of her stuff just about. She might've been a bit paranoid of thieves. When she got to the table with the drinks she grabbed a can and after indulging in the delicious sweet nectar of the gods for a few seconds, Allison took a look around the party. She saw the group that she had just left at the Super Nintendo, and a familiar person at the PS3. Assassin's Creed eh? As much as she wanted to, Allison had only ever played the first game. She also noticed that their wonderful host Marcus was also over there with Quintus. I should really talk with her at some point. She didn't look so good last time I saw her. Her eyes then suddenly caught something. Another fellow Asian. And she looked awfully lost and lonely. And you know what they say, Asians tend to group together with fellow Asians. Come on, she looks like she could use someone. Go on. Thus, Allison took her can and went up to the girl. "Hi there. Having a good time? Did you have any pizza yet? They've got Hawaiian pizza you know as well as sausage. Good stuff. Also I think there was also a combination pizza too. Lots more vegetables on that one. There's also some soda you know. Hahahaha..." she rambled somewhat nervously. A long time ago, Allison used to be able to tell different Asians apart. Not anymore, so eventually the question will have to be asked.
Allison smiled as she sat down next to the heterochromic one. Then she just stayed silent and watched the screen. Well great. Now you're stuck. What're you going to say now? Her smile turned back into her usual normal somewhat stoic face. She decided she would wait until they died or something before speaking. "Oh that was a great try. So I remember seeing you elsewhere before but you left before we could actually meet," she started, remembering that morning. Now that she thought about it, he had seemed a lot more depressed then than now. Dude. There was death. You seem to be the only that keeps skipping over those CRUCIAL DETAILS. Oh right. Death. She did tend to go over those sorts of things fast and not focus on them. Allison got the feeling that if she did overthink and feel things, she'd break and shatter. Best to breeze over them. "I'm Allison." she turned and smiled a small smile. Over the last few years she had managed to train herself to smile more at people. So that they don't beat her up or something over an unintentional scowl or some such. Socializing was still a bit painful, but knowing that Harley was in the room, calmed her some. He always did seem to superficially excel at socializing. She thinks so. Maybe.
Looking around a bit and after freaking out some more over the soda selection, Allison noticed that she recognized someone else in the room besides Harley. The kid from the hotsprings. With heterochromia. Oh hey! Ah but it looks like he's busy playing classic Super Mario with some other guy. Tough game that is. Well...maybe I could just...sit and talk anyway. Would that be a distraction? Ehh..... she thought worriedly. It was then she heard a somewhat loud announcement from another girl. Turning around Allison took one look at her and turned back around keeping a stoic face. She did not look like the gaming type. At all. She looked more like a model maybe, and someone with a lot of confidence and style, as Allison had never seen anyone wear multicolored lipstick before. She was sure only a few kind of people could ever pull off such a look and Allison was absolutely not one of those people. Not to mention she seemed way more theatrical that if she didn't seem so scary and imposing, Allison would've laughed at the sheer silliness of it. Oh man I wish I was cool enough to announce my presence like that. Well I'm not cool or close with anyone yet. Paying no mind to the obviously out of place girl, Allison made her way to the two boys playing on the Super Nintendo. "Hey there guys, can I watch?" She asked hoping they say yes.
I KNOW. I JUST- GAAAAH AMBITIOUSBARD AND BLINKYXX. TOO GOOD. TOO GOOD.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuU1YK0AJoU It's what your post reminds me of. And what I tried to base my reaction off of. XD
Harley had gotten closer and closer to her. Somewhat uncomfortably close, and yet she also yearned to be closer while at the same time afraid to. "H-harley..." she eeked out as he leaned in close and gave her a small kiss on her cheek before turning and high tailing east. Why. That. JERK. How DARE HE PLAY WITH ME. "COME BACK HERE, *******!" she roared as she charged after him. It really wasn't fair as Allison was not the most athletic person around and all she could do was follow after Harley's shrinking silhouette. But I'll always follow. I'll catch up eventually. She was somewhat sad that Harley was still an enigma, but all in due time. All in due time when he was ready. In no time they reached the building as the party was ongoing. It looked like a few people were already there, but it wasn't a night club. Not that she had ever gone to a night club. "Well looks like we made it. Oh wow there's still plenty of pizza! Oh sweet! Hawaiian pizza. OH DUDE SAUSAGE. IS THAT SUPER SMASH OVER THERE?" Needless to say Allison was excited about this. "Oh wow who set all this up? I need to thank them. It's been such a long time since I've touched a console..."
Did you really write all of that? @_@
"Ah! Wait a sec! I- oh all right. I'm sure we'd be fine anyway. There were flyers all over the place yesterday. They couldn't have taken them down so fast." moped Allison a little. She got the feeling that she missed her chance to know more about Harley. And chances to know people more deeply than just a friend were practically once in a blue moon. Well this'll probably cheer him up loads. It is a video game party after all. They left the gardens together though Allison wasn't sure if Quintus saw them leaving or not. Would she follow? Or would she think that the two of them being together meant they were together? Yeesh both those options are supremely awkward. She thought with a slight grimace. As soon as they left the gardens the academy was devoid of a poster. Ahhh shiz. Maintenance sure works fast. Good god. Turning to Harley she smiled nervously. "Uh...not to worry! I'm sure there'd be a few remaining posters in some of the buildings. Let's go to the girls' dorms real fast. There's got to be one on the bulletin board." she assured steering them north to the relatively nearby dorms. Just as they entered there was the bulletin board with news and events of the school and it was just about plastered with the flyers. "Ah here it is! It's happening right now at the Faculty of Student Life. We'll only be a few minutes late if we go now." Allison stated hurriedly as she waved Harley to follow her west quickly. "You can tell me about how you've been doing since we got here while we're fastwalking," she added with a slight smile. Awwww yeah! Smart move! "I'm sorry about the train incident, but I'm sure whoever got the brunt of your flames of anger didn't get too burned by it and forgave you. Who can possibly stay mad at you anyway? It's practically some kind of inane magical ability you have. 'Impossible to be angry at forever'." she joked trying to make him laugh. Allison figured he could use one.
OOC- Lols. Casual funeral. XD Also FUZZY. B| Hawaiian pizza is good all right? Pineapples and ham man. Pineapples. And ham. While Allison was waiting for Harley to get here at 3, she had just seen Quintus and was about to go over there to talk, when Harley arrived at that moment. Well maybe she'll be at the video game party. She thought as she smiled a small smile at Harley. What did she want to know? More like what did he want to tell. "Well, DUDE. Weren't you the one who said you needed someone to talk to during the random trip here that suddenly turned into an extended stay?" she asked daring to look at him a bit more closely. She tended to never really look anyone in the face during conversations. Most times because she was too short and ended up staring at their neck or chest or just the ground. Loyal fantastic ground. Good old ground. He looked a bit more troubled than she did. He probably had more serious problems to deal with than she did. All she had was loneliness. Who knew what he was dealing with. "Well to narrow it down some, how 'bout we start with the train ride. What exactly happened since I missed it? Your mood seemed to have plummeted on the second text." Looking back at where Quintus was sitting a distance away in the garden, almost hidden by some bushes and trees, Allison wondered how awkward it would be if she noticed their sort of private conversation. I'm actually surprised she didn't notice me first. She seems to be like me in that way. Noticing people first. Sometimes. Maybe she's just pretending she didn't. I guess we're still awkward in that way and not really friends. Well, maybe I'll get a second shot at the party. Oh the party. Her face brightened a bit as she remembered the party. "Oh before you start, there's a party today in an hour or two. I say that because I forgot the time....and the place. Now that I think about it, but I'm sure we could find a flyer or something. Okay do continue." she finished with a smile.
Okay I know I'm kind of really late to this. But What. What the fudge is with this play? @_@
I freaked out when you said I'd be banned. @_@ Just got to What's description of Coy City.
The next day Allison woke up somewhat late again. This bed was just too comfortable. Far too comfortable. And before she knew it it was almost noon. All right all right come on now get up. You only have 3 hours left before meeting Harley. Not to mention that video game party. Guess he should come along too. I wonder what games they'll have... she thought as she slowly and reluctantly rose out of bed and changed pants. She was wearing another white turtleneck and jeans as she again tried to be quiet as she put on her red coat/paperthin jacket to get brunch. She had a sandwich and then began to walk to the Heliocanthea. By this point it was nearly 3PM. Allison hoped he hadn't arrived there earlier than her, but she also hoped they'd be able to get to the video game party on time. If not, that was fine too, but it'd be pretty cool to be on time. She briefly wondered if that guy she had mistook for Harley on tumblr would also be there. Maybe not since he didn't know what Persona was but had Persona music. "Hee." she smiled as she arrived at the garden once more. Harley wasn't there. Well all right. I'm slightly early, but might as well text him anyway. She texted him again I'm here now. Spoiler Previous text for convenience from yesterday: Already there. Allison wondered what he had to tell her. This was probably the first time they would actually talk about his mysterious past and family. He didn't really need to know much about her family. He probably already drew a few of his conclusions the few times he saw her parents. Her mother was crazy. But maybe not as crazy as his family. I hope venting helps him. I'll safeguard all his secrets.
Despite initially finding the garden a bit boring after having walked around it for a time, Allison found herself entranced by the beauty and detail of each plant. Even if it was just a gigantic leaf, she observed it closely. No doubt she was going slightly mad after having imposed herself to be locked down in the garden for a time. It wasn't until the sun had started to set and there was no longer enough light to see the exquisite details of the petals of a flower did she finally leave. Though as she was leaving, she noticed a small shadow hurry into the girls' dorm ahead of her. What, is there a curfew or something? Eh. Allison paced herself and casually arrived back at the room. Immediately she noticed a suitcase and a note. They sure worked fast to get her stuff, and the note was even from her parents. She read it, then folded it up and placed it elsewhere. Then she quickly took a shower, hoping Elizabeth had already taken a shower and gone to bed, and went about her bedtime routine. Surprisingly, she hadn't felt hungry all day. Am I getting sick? I sure hope not. Wondering this, she fell fast asleep a few minutes later.
Acting like flowers and plants were really interesting was pretty hard. Even after reading a great many placards giving information about the scientific names and a brief description of when they bloomed and such. Stalking the police sure was hard. Luckily, Allison heard the tone the phone gave off when she received a text. Must be Harley. Uh. Tomorrow afternoon. 3:00pm sounds good. Meet me at the Heliocanthea gardens. I could use a friend. - Harley Hm. Well, she was already at the Heliocanthea. Confused, Allison replied to Harley, trying to be discreet about it as a few more guys in suits(detectives) arrived at the astronomy tower. Already there. She hit send and then took a second look at the text. Ohhhh. Meet here tomorrow!...well god damn it I already sent the stupid thing. I just hope he knows that I know that now.....oh who am I kidding, he's going to laugh at me. Bah. Since she was kind of bored anyway, Allison figured she'd hang out some more in the garden for a little longer.
As Allison was walking from the main building, she came upon a tree that happened to have a flyer on it. Looking beyond it, she noticed a huge mess of the same flyer all over the place. Well... Curious, she looked at the flyer more carefully. Ooooh....video game party? And pizza? Heck yes! When is this? The 19th? What day is today? she wondered as she took out her cellphone and noticed she missed a text message from Harley. Oh damn. Don't know how that happened. So the bastard finally answers eh? She thought with a smirk as she opened up the message. Sorry, sorry. You know how lazy I can get. Yeah, I'd like to meet soon, I don't remember what I was gonna tell you, though. Have to ask me again. Tomorrow, maybe? - Senpai Senpai again? This guy. This guy. Oh but she was too exasperated and tired to come up with a comeback and so she just texted him a simple reply. All right. What time and where? She put away the phone and then stared at the poster again. Wait. What was I doing again? Oh yeah this party. Allison smiled at her silliness as she pulled out her phone again. Ah the 17th. So the party's in 2 days' time. It was then that the sound of sirens caught her attention. Sirens? Here? But it's not even the city. Had it not been for this thought, Allison would have paid them no mind. She was so used to sirens from hanging out in Coy City so often with friends and such. This was the mountains. A prestigious academy that was like a college campus. What were the police doing here? This piqued her interest a bit and so she tried to casually follow the police to where they were headed after they got directions from the main building, sort of in a "oh I'm heading there too. *whistles casually*" manner. Except Allison couldn't whistle. It worked for the most part as she kept her distance and stopped at the Heliocanthia garden, seeing their destination being the astronomy tower. They had brought a stretcher too. And a coroner. Oh. Again? Why is this happening again? The e-mail? Like last time? Christ we are fated to die aren't we? It occurred to her then that she hadn't really thought much of that night when they had all arrived. That bloodlust. The search. The name. And the consequences. This was for the aftermath. I really need to talk to someone. I need to talk to Harley. But we said tomorrow. I...I really wish I...had someone. There were many times where Allison felt lonely, but never had she felt the depths as she did now. She did not have a single close friend to which she could share what she needed to.
OOC- Nice going. >_> Now we can't see the dream. Who the fudge keeps a rock to throw at people anyway? Allison had been so comfortable in bed that she had stayed until the afternoon, even though she had technically woken up a few hours earlier, but closing her eyes and basking int he comfort caused her to go back to sleep again leading to this predicament of another wasted day. Well it's not like I had any plans. Except maybe to call home to tell my parents to send more clothes and such. She figured she might as well get on that now while she still remembered. Getting up slowly, Allison changed out of her pants and tried to quietly put on her jacket and shoes and bag before slipping out of the room to go to the main office of building or whatever acted like a main office. She didn't want to disturb Elizabeth. When she got outside she shivered, the cold reaching deep completely disregarding her thin jacket. It was much colder in the mountains, and really after living relatively closer to the mountains than most everyone in Coy City, she should've gotten used to it, but no. Allison was almost always cold. Her hands, were almost always ice cubes with opposable thumbs. Ghost hands, her mother used to call them. The only time they were ever truly warm was when she was sleeping, the blankets warming them. As soon as she got out of bed, the cold returned to them. I wonder if I had someone to hold hands with, if they would get warmer. Or would they just let go because of how cold they are? Allison mused wryly as she arrived at the building in question. She awkwardly asked how to go about getting her stuff from her house to the school, but thankfully the faculty were very nice and helpful and told her they'd handle it and to just give them the address, names, and phone numbers. Finished with her one vital task of the day, Allison wondered what she should do now. Harley still hadn't texted her and she wondered if he even needed her help or company anymore. Probably not. It's been 2 days since we've arrived. Or something. He probably found his own kind of comfort. Heh. she smirked in minor contempt. Texting her he needs help then never taking her up on her offer of help. Still, she found herself texting her only friend once more. Harley. Please read your previous texts. Spoiler Previous text for your convenience from two pages ago: Hey. You never told me what had happened. Want to meet some time soon?
After finishing her meal and waiting a bit more, Allison decided that they could always meet up tomorrow, especially since it was getting late. Disposing of her trash and feeling relatively satisfied with her brunchinner, she reluctantly headed back to the room of doom. There had been hope of being fantastic roommates. Roommates turned best friends. That hope was gone now, or rather, it had become a very small hope. Elizabeth seemed like a very no nonsense person, and Allison was just about the opposite of that. She was a pretty serious person too. She took everyone seriously unless it was obvious they weren't, but Allison liked to think that she was a little more...easygoing. For now she would try her hardest to smile until it became too much of an effort to around her roommate. When she got back she said hello and changed pants again and went about her bedtime routine before finally going to bed. By then her hair was dry and somewhat tangled, but after fighting it a bit with a comb, it became straight and untangled once more as she laid her head to rest on a pillow and her soft cushion of black hair.
