Kross's lips lightly parted as a sickly yellow aura surrounded the Behemoth they were targetting. The culprit was steel, this shocked him, was he seriously going to face off against that thing alone? He knew the magic of barriers varied among persons, and this barrier had a sinister aura about it. Steel was upset, but for what reason? He learned the hard way that having a keyblade didn't make one invincible, and how was he supposed to help if he couldn't even reach out to Steel? He grit his teeth."No!" he shouted at Steel."Are you crazy? You could get yourself killed! I don't want to lose another close to me!" He shouted out, trying to reason with the stubborn boy. As anti social and quiet as Steel was, Steel was still an ally and a friend of Kross."I can't--Ah!" He gasped as someone Snagged him up, carried him bridal style away from the barrier. It was Ananta. Kross's brown eyes widened as he looked up at Ananta, putting a hand to his chest and the other gripped her, his shy nature returning full force. They got a good distance from the barrier and he looked back, seeing Steel face down the Behemoth. 'Please don't get hurt..' he thought to himself. He was placed on his feet and he had to regain his footing after the impromptu transportation. He looked at Ananta and frowned at her words."That's the thing, he may not want our help, but he NEEDS it."He said. Steel had been an ally since the Beast's castle, and he didn't want an ally to get hurt because of their recklessness and frustrations. He snapped his head at a resounded roar, coming face to face with another Behemoth. Acting on instinct, he skidded back, Ananta wasn't so lucky, being thrown behind the monster. Though she regained her footing and managed to land a series of hits on the Heartless. She went back to meet him and her words made him mutely nod. He brandished his keyblade in a stance and charged. The Behemoth stomped and tried to scoop Kross up to throw him, which was perfect. Instead of being thrown up, Kross jumped and landed on its giant maw. He used the protruding mouth as a boost to throw himself in the air. He then threw himself, shifting in mid air so he was diving upside down. He turned his head and the behemoth was right in his face. It was like a slow motion quick time event. He pointed his keyblade and a blue aura surrounded his being. "freeze!" He cried out, a pike of pure ice slammed the Behemoth's face, making it stumble back in both surprise and agony, trying to shake its daze away. This was the opportunity. Kross reached out his hand and nimbly flipped over just as he landed, on his feet he ended up and skidded a bit. He threw himself around and ran at the dazed Behemoth, jumping up and landed on its head. He poised his blade back and slashed, thwacking the horn and making the Behemoth thrash about. He threw Kross off, the mage beginning to sail through the air, panic entered his mind, he couldn't reorient himself and he would surely slam into the wall. Spoiler: West Gate Heartless Injured Spoiler: West Gate Behemoth: 38 BP spent
The Behanzmoth was getting more and more sluggish, showing visible signs of fatigue. It just then stopped moving, seeming to sway slightly from the exhaustion and their constant attacking taking its toll. Kross would have pitied it, were he not so angry at them. He charged, poising his blade. Finally he could prove himself to these people, finally he could prove he didn't need to be babied. He was more than capable of taking care of himself. He leaped in the air, poising his blade slashed right down the middle, there was a momentary pause before the giant monster roared and split apart and the two halves fell, a heavy thud could be heard as the heartless faded out of existence. Kross landed to the ground and looked back to Ananta, grinning and gave her a thumbs up."Two down, two to go!"He said, turning to the remaining couple of Behemoths. he glared and gripped his keyblade and shuffled more beside Ananta."We can do this, we can take care of this section, you ready?"He asked her. He brandished his keyblade in the direction of the Behemoth."Let's do this!" He said, beginning to charge at one of the behemoths."Take this!" He shouted. Spoiler: West Gate Heartless injured/killed Behanzmoth: 22 BP (DEAD)
Kross panted after his onslaught, his eyes glaring defiantly at the Behanzemoth. He then saw Ananta rush at the large Heartless and he smiled at the display. Ananta was very strong and he admired her greatly. He then saw her hiding under the monster and walk towards him. He tilted his head as she laughed and watched her pass him only to come back around. He saw her stand infront of him and he stood straight out of his tense mage stance. He looked up and listened to her words. His eyes slightly widened to her question, what was she asking? WHy was she asking this? They were in the middle of a battle right? He frowned and watched her hurry off to sit in a corner. He sighed out and looked at the giant heartless. He couldn't get distracted by something that was going to confuse him in the end anyway, he wanted to make this big dummy pay for hurting her. He gripped his keyblade again and took his stance."Ananta, you don't need to worry about that...of course I meant you! You're practically the most legit friend I even have on this team. Right now, we have to focus on taking these monsters down and getting that mirror working again so we can get OUT"He said. He didn't want to run, not right now, but it didn't matter. He was here, and he was going to fight. He started his charge. The Behanzmoth turned its attention to him and wanted to line its strike up. Unfortunately, for all its power and dexterity, it was still too slow. He easily hopped on its arm and skitted up the lengthy appendage, his body glowing yellow. He jumped forward right past its head and while doing so, raining thunder spell after thunder spell on its poor head. Spoiler: west gate Heartless injured: Behanzmoth(38 BP)
All of the pain, the rage, the bottled up unbridled hurt manifested itself in Kross's hateful glare at the remaining Heartless. He was going to wail on this big jerk for hurting Ananta and being indirectly responsible for making him the basketcase he was today. There was no one who would stop his wanton rampage on these unfortunate terrorists. The way they shambled about, the way they stole hearts, the way they burned entire worlds and tore families apart. He wanted to tear them apart, to let them know how it felt. His mind was on that hateful instinct, an instinct he had kept sedated for two years. After his initial assault on the Behemoth, which was finished off by Steel, he turned his gaze on the second, determined to take this one down. He was determined to prove himself, to stop being the weak child everyone assumed him to be. He gripped his keyblade, just looking at the thing made chills of anger boil up his spine, it lit up the sun shaped scar on his back. He charged at the giant Heartless, the heartless in turn tried to get in a hit with its huge hand, but Kross was quicker. Quickly, he leaped up and landed on its arm. Good, he wasn't taking damage so far so he'd have to keep it up. As he traveled up the monster's arm, it began to try to throw him off. He leaped and slashed at the horn, clinging onto it and wailed on it with the keyblade. He tried to make sure there was little collateral as possible, he didn't want to see Ananta hurt again. He finished his combo and kicked off of it as he jumped, landing on the ground and immediatly did a roll to reduce shock. He looked at the hulking Heartless with a smirk."That'll teach you not to hurt my friends, you big bully!" Spoiler: West Entrance Heartless injured: Behemoth: Spent 38 BP
There was only one Wyvern left, and Kross was very much relieved of that. The remaining Wyvern idly flapped its wings, as if it was taunting him. He gripped the hilt of his keyblade and drew it behind him slowly, leveling his hand and his palm faced the ground."All right, big and ugly..come and get some!" He said. The Wyvern charged, and Kross did so in tandem. Instead of fully charging into the wyvern, he jumped, front flipping and landed on its head. The confused heartless thrashed its head to try to knock the Mage off but Kross was much more nimble than that. He gripped onto the Wyvern tightly, gritting his teeth as the Wyvern crashed into the wall, rattling his insides. The Wyvern clawed at the wall with its huge talons, trying to throw Kross off. He held on tight and his glare sharpened."You destroyed my home..killed my family..I will destroy.you.all.."He said in a venomous calm tone. His body glowed a yellow color and he rose his keyblade up while still gripping onto the Wyvern. Multiple thunder spells rained down on the thrashing wyvern, multiple booms heralding Kross's wrath. even if Kross's anger was matched by an angry puppy, he could bite, hard. The Wyvern was a ruined mess when Kross was starting to calm down. He leaped off of the now-dead Wyvern and turned his sites on the hulking Behemoth. He could see noticeable wear marks on the giant heartless. He breathed in and then back out, digging his heels into the ground and then charged at the Behemoth."Gahhhhhh!!!" He yelled out, poising his keyblade and then swung, sending blizzard spells at the behemoth with wild abandon. Kross swung his keyblade. He was done with the ones surrounding him, It did feel pretty good killing these things, even if he wasn't trained to fight Heartless, it was nice to wail on them for a bit of psychological relief. There were three left, and then they could work on the larger ones. They had better fish to fry and working with Ananta could help them defend their flank. He heard Ananta and he nodded twice, agreeing with her method."Okay! I'll join you with the Wyverns in no time!" He called out to her. He faced the three remaining Air Battlers. He brandished his Keyblade and leveled it at them."All right, time to cut loose."He said, charging. The three Air Battlers started charging and flanking him. One charged at his left and he timed his jump, just at the right time. He landed on the charging Heartless and immediately grabbed its head, yanking up. The Heartless shot up, prompting the other two to follow in a speeding chase around the hall. He looked up, seeing a wall approaching ahead. He stood and bent his knees, kicking straight off, and flew right between the pursuing two heartless. All three crashed into the wall and landed in a heap. He landed and walked to the incapped pair. A quick Thunder spell dispatched the three bunched up Heartless. He looked around and then turned, running towards the cluster of Wyverns. Ananta had already dispatched one, so he would go for the other, leaping up and grabbed its head, bonking it multiple times with his Keyblade before using a Blizzard spell to decapitate it. He kicked off and landed to the ground, the Wyvern landed to the ground and burst in darkness. he looked up and waved at Ananta."We're making good progress!" He said with a smile. Kross saw something that made his heart skip a beat. Ananta's platform was getting bright again. A door appeared and out stepped his life-long crush. She succeeded, he was fearful something might have gone wrong. Mentally, he scolded himself for the lack of faith. Ananta had always been strong, emotionally and physically, and dammit she was smart too. She came up to meet the others and his gaze met hers, his breath hitched a bit and heard her as she spoke to him."Ananta."He started gently."The path of the mage is the path of wisdom. All of our life, we're been fighting enemies that could take our hearts in a second, every minute we lived, we lived with the notion that we could die in the next few seconds. This trial...it draws from our many experiences in battle, it tests our capacity to defeat an undefeatable enemy.."Plus Beuce is an impatient sod and he wanted to get this over with so we can move on to part 2."And I undoubtably believe that we can defeat this monstrous entropy." He said. As Anta walked up and defensively hugged his mother, Kross's lips upturned just slightly."I will never separate you from your mother. I'm glad you made it, Anta."He said and looked at the mold."I should have placed more faith in you, I feared you would have gotten hurt..or worse."
Kross was in serious mode and he was going to seriously kick the crap out of these monsters for hurting his allies and barging in like they owned the place. How dare them.. An old wound reopened, A rage that for two years, he had kept hidden both from his friends and from his masters. The past that he thought he forgot, that he thought he let go was surfacing in this battle. A dark part of him wanted to destroy these...abominations, these defiances of natural law. He was going to destroy every last one, they would never hurt anyone again. He snapped to reality when Ananta spoke and his expression brightened as she attacked the Air Battlers by throwing her keyblade, an interesting tactic."That was coo--oof!" He was cut off when Ananta jumped right into his arms, his hands went up in reflex, catching her legs and he stared at her, mixture of shock and concern."Ananta.."He trailed off before she immediately jumped from his arms and charged into the fray. He stared for a moment, then he gripped his Keyblade and prepared to charge. One Air Battler was unfortunate enough to get in swinging distance and Kross charged, swinging his keyblade akin to a cornered animal. He destroyed the Heartless, skidded to a stop and leveled his keyblade at another, he saw two others encircle them and he looked at them, his body glowing yellow."Bad mistake, Thunder! " Spoiler: West Gate Heartless killed: Air Battlers-4(9BP each) Total: 36 BP spent
Kross had enough of the Air Battlers, now was time to take care of something a little bigger than them. He set his sights on the Behemoth, eyes glaring. Now to get to the hulking monster. He eyed the Air Battlers flying around him. Stepping stones..that was what they were. He got an idea. The idea was set, now to carry out the deed. He dug his foot into the ground, gripped his keyblade and faced against the hulking Heartless. The roar it projected rattled his insides but he would show no fear, this was what he trained for! He brandished his keyblade and dug his foot some more."Ananta, I'm not going to let this giant jerk hurt you anymore!" He cried out, his feet moving to carry him across the ground with gliding grace and a nimble that was unsurpassed. His eyes sharpened as he ran, dodging the onslaught of Air Battlers trying to defend their hulking master. He jumped over one, putting his foot in its face to propell himself upwards. The same pattern was done for any of the air heartless that dared stand in his way. In mid air, he was face to face with the hulking behemoth.. His glare widened and he gripped his keyblade. He reached up, straining his arm and caught the horn, twirling around it and landed on the head. The behemoth began roaring and thrashing about as spells of blue, yellow and a couple of different colors rained down on the Behemoth, the caster being the navy haired mage."Haaaaaaaaa!!!!!" He cried out, finishing with a final, ground shaking Thunder spell before he backflipped. He landed to the ground and jumped back, sliding and snapped into his stance, smirking."Take that.."He breathed heavily. Spoiler: West Gate Heartless injured: Behemoth(Injured): 38 BP, going full force!
Kross brandished his keyblade, it was two heartless that he downed but he wasn't done, there was still more to do. He had to also protect Ananta, Steel, and Rain from further harm. He rushed, jumping up to meet the gaze of one of the Air Battlers. He took the fetal position in mid-air and kicked off of it. He wasn't aiming for the Air Battler anyway, he had a more exotic plan in mind. He backflipped and landed right on the behemoth's head. He went right for the horn, stopping infront of Ananta's resting form and looked at her."Don't worry, I got this."He hooked his arms around the horn and jerked back, once the keyblade made contact with the horn, the hulking thing roared and reared back its head. Kross adjusted his position so it was a strong front stance before guiding the behemoth by the horn to a group of Air Battlers. It wasn't long before the stomping ensued, one popped in darkness right when it met the hulking monster's large foot and another met the same fate. He breathed, his concentration sharpening as he spotted an air battler in his periperal. At last, he relented his grip on the Behemoth and bashed its horn before jumping off and caught the clawed hand of the Air Battler. He winced a bit at the claws dug in, drawing some blood but he lifted his keyblade arm slowly and swung in an arc, cleaving the head of the Air Battler right off before it relented its grip and Kross fell, landing and immediately rolling to reduce impact. Three more down, many more to go, and it was going to be troublesome finishing off the rest. It looked like the rest of the Air Knockers were taken care of, and that was a good thing because Kross was beginning to get tired of the small fries. The Behemoths were waiting to attack, thankfully they had somewhat more restraint than these small ones. He gripped his keyblade and saw Ananta get knocked back by one of the Air Knockers she had knocked back. He pointed his Keyblade up and then aimed it at Ananta, one good deed deserves another.A green light surrounded Kross and soon the green light seeped into Ananta, a healing warmth spreading through her."You healed me, so I'm going to heal you in return, Ananta!" He exclaimed. They needed each other. He knew Steel could hold out and in no way he would underestimate Ananta's strength either. He turned his eyes on the Air Battlers now. He took his stance again and held his hand out."Ananta, you ready?"He asked her. He already knew the answer, so he charged. One of the Air Battlers charged right at Kross, trying to attack him. He nimbly bounded up, right above the air battler and stomped on his head a couple of times before bounding off, aiming for a higher one. He swung, his free hand behind him to counterbalance himself in mid air and split the Heartless down the middle. He shifted his weight to turn in mid air in time to see the one he off of earlier charging at him. He swung his keyblade up and guarded against the attack, flying back. He back flipped in mid air, reorienting himself and pointed his keyblade at the offending Heartless." Freeze! " he exclaimed, sending a sharpened shaft of ice at the heartless, impaling it and instantly killing it. He dropped to the ground and slid back, retaking his stance. This was tough but they were making solid progress. The others were doing well too, so he wasn't planning to give up anytime soon. He charged at the group of Heartless."Haaa!" There were a lot of Heartless, a lot, and Heartless were a little stronger than the enemies he was trained to fight. 'Despite that, I gotta fight this kind of darkness. I'm not going to fail you, Master Yen Sid.' He thought. He gripped his keyblade and then leveled it at one Air Knocker."All right, time to enter the fray."He said, targetting three of them. He rushed along the ground, surprising one of the air Knockers, now that he got it off guard, he could safe guard Ananta from future attacks."Take this!" He said, splitting it along the middle. It looked like he had succeeded, but then his world went white as he felt one slam into his back. The body slam sent him into a moment of pain. He flew forward, his front sliding along the ground. He blacked out only for a second before he slowly sat up, looking back at the taunting air knocker. The blasted Heartless caught him right in the back, right where the scars from his battle with Etrius, and the battle with the heartless in the outback. He grit his teeth and shook the stars from his eyes, getting up with the help of his keyblade. he gripped it tightly like a crutch and leveled a glare at the Heartless, it charged again but he was ready, and oh it was going to pay. It swiped down and he threw his keyblade up, knocking it from its attack and while it was reeling, he swung up and split it straight up the middle. He then turned his gaze towards the last and as he charged, it went airborn."Oh no you don't..!" He exclaimed and summoned his key glider. He rode, maybe if he got the timing right...and there! He dismounted from his keyglider and dropped down, the contraption jack-slammed the heartless and went right through it, running it over and making it pop in darkness. He dropped down near Ananta and held up his hand, the keyblade appearing in his hand. He turned his head and regarded Ananta."There's a lot!"He said."What's the plan? We need to hold them off until the others can get that mirror working again, We need to get out of here!" Spoiler: West Gate Heartless killed: 3 Air Knockers(7 BP each) Total spent: 21 BP
Kross rose up, it looked like there were only two Air Pirates left since Steel took out the other two. It looked like the last two were easy pickings anyway. He rose his keyblade up and pointed the tip at the two."You wanted a fight, you got it."He said in a deadly tone. He smirked as his body glowed a chilling cyan blue. "You have been a pain in my neck. It's time for you to freeze " He said as an ice block shot from his keyblade and slammed into the two, popping them instant. He breathed heavily and eyed the hearts as they ascended to..wherever they were going. He looked to the side and to the far end where Ananta was facing a sizeable group of Air Knockers. He gripped his keyblade and turned. 'I got to help her..' He thought to himself. His feet carried him on pure instinct, the paternal protective side of him carried him across the way. He bounded up, his keyblade brandished and he dropped down, his keyblade over his head as he let out a battlecry. "Haaaaaaa!!! GAH!" He swung down, hard, and cleaved one of the air Knockers right in half, the two halves popping instantly in darkness as a heart ascended. He cartwheeled to Ananta's side and held his mage's stance."We'll fight together!" Spoiler: West Gate Heartless killed: 2 Air Pirates(5 BP each) 1 Air Knocker(7 BP each) Total: 17 BP spent
Kross glanced up as the air pirates circled them, four for him and a good few more for Ananta. He would worry about the hulking monstrocities later and focus on the smaller batch. 'If we had Karina here with us, we could easily take out the big ones..darnit, why did I let that Heartless attack me in the outback?' Kross silently mulled over, but sharpened his focus in time to see an air pirate lunge at him. It was that one moment in time that reminded him of his first spar with Karina. Silently, he wondered how strong she had gotten. SHe always had strength to boot but she was so reckless and it worried him. He swung up his keyblade and thwacked the heartless, skillfully nailing it in the chin, this semed to provoke the other three to attack him and he went right to work, blocking, jumping and swinging at the heartless in a graceful manner. He landed to the ground, two more down, one more to go. This one swooped down and he jumped, swinging but missing and the air pirate caught him by the arm, jerked him up and carried him off of the ground. He grit his teeth and his legs thrashed."Get off..get off!!" He cried out, the claws digging into his arm painfully. Sparks began to encircle his body as he glowed yellow."I said...get off!!" He yelled, thunder raining down and struck the heartless, creating a large BOOM sound along with audible buzzing. The Heartless let go, and Kross dropped to the ground gracefully, watching as the heartless popped into darkness, its strength to live spent. Spoiler: West Gate Heartless killed: 4 Air pirates(5 BP each totaling 20 BP)
They defeated the Hook Bats and the Rapid Thrusters like clockwork, and Kross was glad of that, the small fries were easy but they could be troublesome in greater numbers. Now the issue was the tougher opponents and he had a good number of choices. Those Air Pirates had been giving the two the most trouble and he still owed them for hurting Ananta. Speaking of which, her jumping on him made him land on his behind. He stared at her curiously."Ananta..?"He murmured, but as she got up, he did too and apologized to him, but for what? He sighed."Don't worry about it." He said smiling. He then watched her go and fight the heartless, right..time to put that brain of his to work too. Putting Master Yen Sid's teachings into practice in the battle field was easier said than done but what other choice did he have? He breathed in, closing his eyes. Think think think..What could he do to trap them again? He opened his eyes, time to move. He gripped his keyblade and charged. Two Air Pirates caught on to his charging and went after him. Perfect, all according to plan. He was nimble and quick, and they were fast, which was perfect. He then suddenly ducked, the two pursuing him looked at each other questioningly before seeing what he was ducking from. Two more Air Pirates were in their way and they crashed into each other, falling into a heap. Kross skidded to the side and then charged, taking out each Air Pirate, releasing their hearts. Spoiler: West Gate Heartless destroyed: Air Pirates: 4 (Total: 20 BP) EXP writer NOT EQUIPPED
It didn't take long until Kross spotted the female trudging up the stares, and even if she didn't show it, he could feel a sense of..victory seep off of her. She completed her task, and not a moment too soon either, he was getting bored and frankly, a little lonely. He saw her pause and turn away to look at something and he craned his neck, getting a look-see. SHe was looking right at Gexln's platform. "If there's one thing I know about that guy."He started, as if he could read her like a book."It's that he's very stubborn. He's too stubborn to fail this. Have faith." He said, for Xero would see Gelxn again. Something caught his attention. A flash of light appeared on Gexln's platform before he saw the boy receive his fragment and come running up to the mold, to where they were waiting. His lips upturned to a small smile."You did it, nice job."He said, turning to the mold."The others should be here soon..I'm putting my faith in them." and one particular person that had yet to come up and place her fragment in the mold: ANanta.
It was absolute chaos in the sanctuary, something he thought he would never see, but it happened. It happened and there was nothing Kross could do to totally stop it alone. He had managed to divert some of the Hook bat's attention but it didn't get all of them. However, his diversion idea did work, if he could keep working just like this, they had a chance. Ananta was doing well for a novice, albeit her technique was unrefined but in the battlefield, when was grace needed? Steel was pretty powerful himself, damaging one of the bigger Heartless quite heavily. THey needed to keep this up until the mirror was at full power, then they could escape. He gripped his keyblade tight in his hand and held his palm up, there were currently six hookbats that were attracted by Kross's previous onslaught of their five comrades. They were clumsily flying from side to side they were the weakest of this army it figured they'd be so easy to kill off."I'm not gonna be useless.."He trailed off, he remembered Ananta's face, then it faded out and Steel's face showed, and it kept doing this until his mind imaged Hkaru's face. His body glew yellow, anyone in a certain radius would feel their hair stand up on end."Everyone, I won't run away again...not again!" He exclaimed, looking up. The Hook bats closed in and Kross leveled his keyblade, then pointed it up, glaring at them."SUck on this..!" Kross used thunder on 6 Hookbat(s)!! It was then he heard it, someone was calling his name. His eyes snapped over to where ANanta stood, he could barely see her in the mass of Heartless but his mind knew one simple fact. ANanta is in trouble! He ran and jumped out, swinging and hooked his keyblade into one of the Hookbats trying to entrap ANanta. His hair ruffled and he grit his teeth, his body glowing yellow. He yelled as lightning rained down like hell on the heartless entrapping his friend. It wasn't enough to pop all of them but at least they would give Ananta some breathing room. Kross used Thunder on two Hook Bats and two Rapid THrusters! Spoiler: West Gate Hook Bats killed: 8 Rapid THrusters killed: 2 EXP Writer: NOT EQUIPPED
It looked like Steel was joining the two in the fray. It was good because it didn't look like the two were putting a dent in their enemies. Kross brandished his keyblade and pointed it at the Heartless. They seemed significantly different than the Unversed that Master Yen Sid taught him to fight. They didn't feed on negativity like the Unversed did, they were born out of pure darkness which made them a little tougher. With Ananta and Steel by his side however, there wasn't anything he couldn't do. 'we can beat them..' He told himself, but putting a dent in this kind of army will be difficult, especially something this big, unless he could lure the small fries in first..that's it!'If I can lure those bats over here, I can nail them with my Mine Square!' He felt small bubbles of anger rise up in him as Ananta got hurt by one of the heartless. He sped towards the bats and waved his keyblade."Hey you jerks! Pick on someone your own size!" Five Hook bats turned their attention to Kross , then flew towards him.. "Okay..." He murmured, waiting for them to get closer..and waiting..and..NOW! Kross used Mine Square! Kross cleaved a heartless in half and his ears picked up the sound of slashing from nearby. He looked back and saw Ananta fighting with him. A small grin was on his face before he turned his attention to a heartless charging at him. He swung up his keyblade and knocked the heartless into the air, finishing it off with a blizzard. He jumped back a little bit until he was close to Ananta."Don't let Karina get to you, Ananta. She says those things but I know the truth about her. She cares about us, and that's all there is to it, now come on, time to show these bullies what we can do!"He said and charged, heartless after heartless flew into the air from Kross's focused swings. Karina wasn't the only wielder with something to prove. Kross wanted to prove he could pull his own weight too, even if it meant he would get himself injured.
The heartless were pouring out of dark portals, and they were swarming towards different entrances. If they got out, people outside of this place would be in it deep. A swarm in particular were heading towards the unguarded West gate. Suddenly, four or five of them burst into darkness as Kross leaped over, cleaving them apart and landed infront of the Western entrance. Hand out in front, keyblade behindh im and stance straight, he faced down the heartless army. he knew full well that he didn't have a chance alone, but he had to hold them off, at least until they could finish repairing the mirror. They got close and his face was set in a battle ready grimace. He swung his keyblade. "Thunder!" And so, his battle began.
