ₓ Location » Woods ₓ Mood » Mischievous ₓ OOC » Team player Allen ₓ Being with the team and protecting the counselor could have been fun. But what he had in mind will no doubt be better. He would simply need to wait to have his attendance taken and for the best chance to slip away. Tedious. But at least he went out ahead of time and set up trip wires to knock down people and shake the leaves. Would probably only work to scare the jumpy ones, but hey it was only day two. These things always started small. After doing that in the afternoon he slipped back into the crowds. Everyone had been so busy they hadn't noticed him gone, which makes for a good alibi. That had been the only note worthy thing Allen has done today. And then the Hunt started. It was surprisingly easy getting away from the others, as Mr. Eyepatch allowed them to go where ever they pleased. He didn't seem all that into it, but there was still hope he'd last long enough for Allen to do as he wished. Those wishes being looking through everyone's belongings. His first stop was Pierce's cabin. She was his current target after all, so it would just be stupid not to go there first. Notebooks, diaries, anything with secrets written on them would be the first things looked through. After that he will just have to see what he came across. The anticipation was killing him as he waited for everyone to go into the woods for the coast to be clear.
xxxx→ Clothes ↔ Location ◦ Camp Circle/Woods ↔ Mood ◦ Hopeful ↔ OOC ◦ Arrives an hour late with Starbucks ← The fire was relaxing. Its crackling and warmth reminded her of a time spent camping when things were normal. A smile was able to form, no effort given. Such a feat was rather hard, as they always seemed a bit fake lately. At least during the times they shouldn't be, anyway. Only during... Drums stopped the day dreaming. No time for it now, since she had to prove she wasn't as lazy as day one made her out to be. The rules were then shared and seemingly the same as the year prior. Still a refresher was nice. If only she had not been reminded of the bears. Scary... Haha. Let's not worry about that, shall we? Instead she decided to focus on grabbing a flashlight and going to her group, noting everyone there. Noëlle and Sophie (not that she knew that one's name yet) were there. Alice, who seemed stuck with them still. And the other two whose names still escaped her. Noëlle spoke to her, snapping her out of her count. "Just making sure everyone is here and trying to remember the good hiding spots..." Was that annoyance? Oh boy. This should be her last year here. Lounging in a classroom seemed better, as she could teach and not have to worry about being slow. But this was also so much fun. At least Sophie took point, to which Sam had mentioned it was a good idea. With everyone else's flashlights lit and around her though... "I think I'll keep my light off unless needed, harder to hit like that right?" Not stupid, so they shouldn't think it was. Though now that she thought about it she was being too worrisome about others' opinions. That stops here, so long as she does a good enough job not to fail. A shout of good luck was heard and returned before the group was ready and moving.
xxxx→ Clothes ↔ Location ◦ Cabin C/Mess Hall ↔ Mood ◦ Curious ↔ OOC ◦ Aha. Shame. Will link clothes next post ← Upon waking Sam noticed most of the campers already out or still sleeping, allowing her to slip out and take a shower without the need to talk. Once that was done it was to the dinning hall where some waffles and eggs were gotten but she did not sit down right away. Instead it was intel time. The blond talked to some adults in the line and elsewhere. She had an interesting 'rumor' to ask about. Something about manslaughter. When they asked why she said it was just something she heard and names were left out. Even so, by the end of conserving with a small group nothing was found out. She sat down filled with the feeling of failure. At least the feeling was ignored as she ate and looked around, spotting her students and a few others, though nothing out of the ordinary by the time she got there.
xxxx→ Clothes ↔ Location ◦ Cabin C ↔ Mood ◦ Tired/Shocked ↔ OOC ◦ SLEEPS ← Sam didn't even know how to react to this. Was that a murder confession? Legally speaking it would at least be manslaughter...unless they lived, of course. Perhaps it should be reported. But if someone was to say something like that to people on the stranger level then maybe others already knew. Maybe she got off with some therapy and community service. Either way she felt as if she should be careful. "Wow..." finally speaking, "dived right into it." That was one way to put it. Tomorrow she would ask around about this one but for tonight she wished to stay here, lest she left them alone with each other which did not seem like a good idea. So to stay it seemed her turn, as Sophie was apparently uninterested. "I was also pressured into those things, high school can be like that. But one thing led to another... And somewhere I ended up in juvenile detention. Luckily wasn't charged as an adult, at least." Compared to the others she did not go into as much detail but if they really wanted to know they could ask. But now it was time to sleep. Showering would be left for the morning so Samantha was able to crawl into bed. However she did wait for the others to fall asleep first, especially the manslaughter one. When they were seemingly asleep her body fell backwards. The sheets embraced her and the pillow was welcoming. And then a well needed slumber finally took over.

And to think he actually wasted energy being offended. If he could he would start laughing. A loud, in your face type laugh. But instead he simply ignored that wanna-be cool guy and turned to the shy one. This one was hardly his target for the month... But anxious personality types were fun. He would have to consider how to go about this. But for now, as the others began to talk a yawn escaped him. It was nice timing as they were then informed that this was not required here. Good for today but it was such an easy method to learn about the others... He hoped they did more tomorrow. Either way he excused himself, grabbed a change of clothes, and made his way to the showers. During that time a strange exchange happened with a girl who yelled at him first but then begged for help. He took his time in doing so, using excuses as the door is hard to open and he couldn't find a towel. It would have taken longer or he would have left her but he needed to shower and sleep so it was dealt with and he did what he came for. After that he returned to the cabin dressed in a white T and shorts, saying a goodnight before laying down and going to sleep.
i see you liking my posts and im like...wow i've missed ashbear.
I'm too tired to read every post now so my examples could have been used already but this is a huge pet peeve of mine, or least the story about that kid. It's like saying 'you shouldn't be happy because I have it better than you.' Or 'you can't be hungry because I've eaten less than you.' Really stupid stuff. As for the assignment you should have the right to tell your teacher it makes you too uncomfortable, give a reason, and then not do it. If they don't see eye-to-eye that's a real shame but unless you're failing I don't see a reason to compromise on your morals just for a piece of paper. I did scroll up before posting and hyuge has a good idea too, so maybe try it.
xxxx→ Clothes ↔ Location ◦ Mess Hall/Cabin C ↔ Mood ◦ Tired/Happy ↔ OOC ◦ Whoop ← It was hard, stopping herself from stuffing her face. No need to make an even worst start, so she took her time and ate slowly. But even so the food was her main focus and Kevin's words were just background noise. At least she got the gist of it. Hunt tomorrow. Secret time today. But the rest became white noise. Blabbing like teachers in Charlie Brown. When full she became less anxious. Less worried about how the others viewed her since it she was less grumpy. Still, sleep was really longed for. Duties first, though. So when all was done and out the way she headed back with the students, finding the missing two on the way and having them join her. So when they were back everyone was there. She offered them a smile. "So who wants to go first?" She stood in the center of the cabin, speaking once the rest had a chance to get comfortable and put their names on the bed, if they wished to do so. "If no one wants to I will, since why should you guys be the only ones to share things? But if not then I'll just go last." It wasn't unlike the woman to go without rest for several days, or just a little at a time, so she can do this. Sure she kept complaining mentally but that's just because she was a lazy soul. But that can be put aside for the sake of them. After all she wanted to be a good example, if nothing else.

It was good and he hoped that the one laughed at felt belittled, even if only a little. Then the girl also gave an amusing comment. Ah, a peace keeper was it? Those types were his least favorite, far worse than the other guy. But either way he was then handing over his phone, having nothing else to give up. After that they went to the dinning hall where they had to listen to the one probably on speed who explained something about secret time. Sharing bits of information on himself was not his thing so it was most likely that he will give would be lies. All lies. And more than likely everyone will believe them. People were stupid like that after all. Then it was eating, which was nice as now he did not have to go on empty any longer. When that was out of the way he did not wait on the others and simply headed back once his food was gone. He would wait until everyone was back in the cabin as he sat on his bed. His feet swung, a smile plastered on his face. Already he had thought of something to say so when Eyepatch started their secret time he volunteered to go first. "If it's not minded, here I go. Something small....hm." He paused as if he was giving it thought. "I've been playing the piano since I was about six."
ₓ Location » Cabin A ₓ Mood » Excited ₓ OOC » Rolls more ₓ While awaiting a reply another boy had entered the reply. Seemingly shy, this one. That made a smile grow on Allen's face though it was made into a welcoming one. "Hey there, Alex. I'm Allen." Saying his name twice in a row was rather annoying, but day one was always friendly day. However it would not be repeated another time so the third person to enter was out of luck, if they even cared. And that very well may be the case for the next one to enter did not even greet those already there. How rude. Did he think he was above them? His canvas was probably still blank like that! It really bothered Allen and the urge to go up behind the other and wrap his arms around their neck had appeared. Though naturally he did not act on it. Instead he would put off getting at that one later, though in the meantime his existence would be ignored as he was. Though before what exactly he wanted to do to him had yet to form when Mr. Eyepatch began speaking once more. So this one was not happy to be here. That seemed like things would be easier for them but having another plain canvas around... Well, anyone who has lost an eye surely had something happen to them, so it was too early to say that. "Well I've claimed my bed. What else is there to get dibs on?"
xxxx→ Clothes ↔ Location ◦ Cabin C/Heading to the Mess Hall ↔ Mood ◦ Tired ↔ OOC ◦ Rolls around ← The way Sophie had treated the sticker had been something of a disappointment. And while it was nice to see someone who did not just bend to the flow it felt as if this one would cause trouble for her. Oh well, maybe it could be avoided. After all what she did not see or know about could easily be ignored... As long as no one else found out. Still, what a pain it will be to know this one's name. Oh, speaking of, seemed like she also saw through Sam's reasoning for it. How sharp. Or maybe it was just a joke. But then there was the dramatic sigh which brought her attention away from all that. "I'll give them back sometimes, so long as no one else knows." This bit was going to be kept to herself in case either was a tatter tale but neither seemed the type. Or so she hoped. A moment of silence was then made by the blond as the other two had a quick exchange. Oh nice for them to already know each other. Even better if they were on good terms, since fighting in her cabin would be such a bother. But anyway. The topic of dinner returned. After skipping dinner last night and missing breakfast Sam had no intention of staying here to wait for everyone else. However she did leave a note just in case, even mentioning where the mess hall could be located. "We'll go now and the others can just catch up." The whole cabin should probably go together but she was already messing up everything today so why not? So with that decided the ziplock bag was placed on the nearest wooden surface, a small dresser type table next to her bed, and she went to open the door. It was held open behind her for the others to pass before she went on her way.
xxxx→ Clothes ↔ Location ◦ Cabin C ↔ Mood ◦ Tired ↔ OOC ◦ Sam applies effort ← At the sound of the door opening and closing Sam's head perked up. So there was their other roommate. One still seemed missing but after a quick glance at her watch she realized that dinner was coming up and they shouldn't waste time. So after an inward sigh she stands up, noticing that the newcomer had placed her name already. That caused her to smile for explaining it would have been a bummer. First a greeting was given then she got a ziplock bag, opening it and holding it out to the girls. "It has to suck, but the rule is to fork over all phones, music players, and so on. If you have anything too big to fit just set it on my bed." She was not fond of this rule and last year she even gave them their stuff back, though in secret of course. So maybe if they proved to be a nice bunch she would hand them their phones and such back during the nights spent in this cabin. She wondered if any of the students she dealt with last year shared this piece of information. Hopefully not, 'cause if that made it's way to the other adults it could spell trouble. "When it's done we should head to the dinning hall, since it should be opening soon." Sentences were not the easiest things to form right now but at least after that little rest some energy had been restored. She just hoped that this first impression hadn't been bad enough for the others to hate her before she had a chance to be herself tomorrow.

xxxx→ Clothes ↔ Location ◦ Cabin C ↔ Mood ◦ Tired ↔ OOC ◦ Whoop ← Another had entered the cabin, a student she did not know well. A smile was given and a nod. "Seems so." After speaking the blond turned back to her things, grabbing a sheet of stickies that were often used as name tags. But as old as they were such things were probably treated with distaste and would only last a day, if that. Besides it would not do much to help her remember their names. She took a black marker and wrote Sam on one, peeling it off and sticking it to the frame of her bed. With that done she turned once more, moving over to the bunk Sophie had taken. "To claim beds, so there'll be no fighting over that." And so she won't have to ask for anyone's name ever. She wondered if she should offer to take it when the other was done but she also wished to lay down. If a student was doing it then it should be okay. So once the things had been handed off Sam made her way back to the twin bed separate for the counselors and fell on to its sheets. It was such a cold surface, relieving from the hot outside. The sun from outside did not reach it either, at least not in this hour. Not as soft as her own bed but...pretty damn good. Or maybe that was just how tired she was. All the weight was lifting off as well... Ah, she really should get up to greet the others, but she also really didn't want to. Tomorrow. Tomorrow she would act as one should when in charge of others. But for today she just wanted to lay here.
ₓ Location » Cabin A ₓ Mood » Excited ₓ OOC » Will probably get to Sam's post after sleep, unless I can't sleep ₓ A guy with an eyepatch seemed to be the adult in charge of his cabin. He never seen an empty eye socket before, how did it look? Simply asking seemed to be an easy way to go about it but it was still too early to be an asshole, especially when he was in such a good mood. Pierce had been so cute after all. That was just from a casual conversation too, which made future reactions very promising. Either way it seemed that he had been the first student on the scene so he smiled to Mr. Eyepatch, still curious about the socket. "Nice to meet you," he hoped, "I'm Allen." After speaking Allen had gone to place his bag on the bottom bunk of the nearest bed. It would be easier this way, because climbing down could awaken the one on the bottom whenever he would sneak out. Though only the bag was put down, it was not opened nor did he do anything else as his attention turned back to the older male. He would have to listen to what this one had to say before anything else, and his target was probably busy doing the same, so there was not many options to what to do now but to wait.
ₓ Location » Camp Circle ₓ Mood » Excited ₓ OOC » He's so caring. ₓ While standing in the circle Allen's eyes began to wander. It was not long before he saw the person who held his current desire, and just in time to see her fall. At the sight a small smile formed on his lips but was quickly erased before he made his way to her. It had been too late to help the girl up or greet her on the spot but he put on his best worried expression. "Are you alright?" he asked, dropping his own bag next to his feet. Maybe she wanted to forget that the fall ever happened, but it had been such a perfect opener. In fact he did not know if he would have been able to suddenly approach for a conversation like this without it. Only if they ended up in the same cabin would he have been able to speak to Pierce so easily on the first day. However, while waiting for a reply music started and the speaker came out. He still listened for her words, but his eyes went to the stage. This was his first time at the camp so it was all new to him, taking the boy off guard. How loud...and annoying. Nonetheless he smiled while listening. At the end of it he waited for the box to make its way to them, grabbing a card when his turn presented itself. Cabin A. After a peek at Pierce's it would seemed that he was not lucky enough to share one, but this may just work better like this. He grabbed his bag and made his way there, not wishing to overstay his welcome, not yet anyway. "Have fun." xxxx→ Clothes ↔ Location ◦ Camp Circle ↔ Mood ◦ Tired ↔ OOC ◦ Nothing ← So this was the guy's first year. Maybe if he had been here before she could stick a name to the face, like for Tucker who seemed to be coming back from a run. It was only her second year coming to this camp but apparently that guy grew up here or something along those lines. She wondered if she would continue to come here for years to come or not... "Ready as ever." The reply came with another smile but beyond that she would leave the other two to chat among themselves, as fading in the background sounded nice right about now. That desire was then aided by the start of introductions where no one could question her silence for it was required. All focus would be on Kevin and his speech. Now...if she remembered correctly she was in charge of Cabin C so after grabbing her things, and giving a bye to the others, she made her way there to greet the students once they came.

Either way she decided to wait and see if it came back to her on its own, not wishing to offend the other on their first day here. What a long summer it'd be if everyone disliked her from the start. "Yeah, just couldn't sleep," she said, a yawn coming on cue. No need to diverge secrets here, or lie, so this reply should do. xxxx→ Clothes ↔ Location ◦ House/Camp Circle ↔ Mood ◦ Tired ↔ OOC ◦ Thanks Dinny for pretty banner ← Every average living room tended to have a TV, chairs, and maybe a table or two. But this one, despite the extra space, was void of those things. Instead four beds occupied it, two on either side of the rectangular room, running along the longer walls. Each had a small nightstand next to it with various objects upon their surfaces. Each room upstairs were most likely used like this so that they could fit as many people as they could here. It was...crowded, to say the least. However, Samantha did find the time to have a quiet moment with her friend, the only reason she was back at this place. Roxanne needed her after all, as getting used to such a place was difficult. If only she could bring her friend to her apartment, but with those roommates of hers... "I..." Roxanne started, breaking Sam out of her daze. "I'm sorry..." The dark haired woman tried to fight back her tears but had failed to do so. And seeing her cry brought physical pain to Sam but the only thing the blonde could do was hold the other and say it will be alright. Though despite the endless apologies Roxanne had felt wonderful knowing someone had come to her. That it only took one text for the other to rush to her side. It felt empowering. And to say Samantha did it only out of the kindness out of her heart wouldn't be entirely honest either. They both fed off of each other in some way, though with summer coming up they will most likely have to find another to fill that desire. Which is why the two had decided to spend the night together, idly chatting and trying to make the most of their time. So when morning came the younger found herself worn out, wishing that she could just arrive to camp late. However as a camp counselor it would probably be a poor idea, so their time was cut even shorter. Maybe she should have just left a day early, but that was never going to happen. She got there before the students at least, though probably as one of the last counselors on the scene. Most responsible adult award goes to me... ₓ Location » Home/Bus/Camp Circle ₓ Mood » Excited ₓ OOC » I don't know how to feel about this banner ₓ Life was like a canvas that started out blank and was painted by events and people along the way. Most people had boring, plain paintings and were deemed pathetic. That's why so many died young. It was also the reason why he went out of his way to create as many events and bonds as possible to form the most colorful picture anyone has ever seen, which would surely grant him a long life. Hell, he could even become immortal. But that wasn't the only goal. It was also a necessity, needed to prove a point. During this fight to prove it several faces in his yearbook had been crossed off with a red x, marking that he had either done something to them (that something ranging from embarrassing pranks to tricking them into thinking they had a chance with either him or someone else only to have their hopes crushed) or lost interest. Compared to his desires the number of x's was pitiful, but it had been enough for his parents to despair. And now a new one had been made as the boy laughed over its pages, rolling in his bed once the red marker had been capped. What a great start to the summer! Oh. Speaking of... The raven haired boy sat up and hurried to get dressed, realizing that today was the day camp started. If he didn't hurry he would end up having to take a late trip. How boring would that be? So once everything was packed, yearbook included, he rushed out and made his way to the to greet a leaving group of students. Once there he took a seat and quietly hummed to himself, looking around. There was a cute redhead near by, older but it would hardly be the first adult he chased after. Only a plan to break the girl was forming but it was quickly shook off, as a target was already in mind. His current crush being it. And as 'luck' would have it that they were both going to the same location for the summer which will no doubtedly make these next few months quite fun. In fact by the time they reached the camp he could barely contain himself, near ready to blow the cover of a normal, calm kid he had kept all this time before he even stepped off the bus.
