Danni made an o shape with her lips when Jay explained what The Spades were to her. And how he explained he didn't know any other details was satisfying enough to her. Danni finished up the rest of her sandwich and drink, dabbing her mouth with a napkin before she switched out her shoes for her rubber boots and slipped her rubber gloves back on. She looked over at what Jay was doing and shuddered. Man, it was scary how quick he was at finding what he was looking for. Nothing was private in this day and age. She looked back at Spectre and smiled a little, having sort of settled down. "I'm Danni by the way... Nice to meet you. Can I see that file really quick?" Danni took the file from the girl and looked at it more throughly, squinting at it. "Government... experiment...? Hold up a sec. Are you sure he will want to come with us willingly?" She blew some air from her lips as she looked at his powers and chewed the inside of her cheeks as the gears in her head started to turn. She glanced at Jay, then back at Spectre before looking out on the road. Jay was bent on gathering them all up before taking them to the A-7, and the A-7 didn't take no for an answer... Or that's what she understood."I can try to talk to him if you would like? Once we find him anyways." It didn't take long before Danni spotted a familiar face on the streets and she sat up straighter. "Hey, that's him, stop the car." The car came to a stop and Danni grabbed her file as well as Zeke's file."Okay. If it all works out, I should get him to come with us." She flashed the duo a smile and a thumbs up."Be right back!" With that, she hopped out of the car and shut the door behind her, jogging a little to catch up to Zeke. "Zeke? Hey! Um... You don't know me. My name is Danni.... I'm like you. I use electricity." She held up her LV bracelet for him to see and realized she had her gloves and boots on. "Oh, shoot, hold on, um..." She pulled off her glove and hopped up and down as she took off her boot. When it flipped off her feet, she quickly stood up and snapped her finger, showing a snap of blue electricity from her fingertips. "A-anyways... I know it seems weird, I was weirded out too. But uh, the A-7 is gathering a team of us for some reason. They contacted me today after my shift at the coffee shop. Here, this is my file." She handed Zeke her file, only forgetting she didn't put her glove back on and gave him a tiny static shock. "Oh! I'm really, really sorry. Um. Lemme put my glove back on, and my boot..." She awkwardly put her things back on, blushing in embarrassment as she held on to Zeke's file under her arm. "But uh, they have everything about me. They have everything of you, too. See?" She gave him his file with her gloved hand. "They have everything on the other two people they have in mind as well. So, uh, I think it would be a bad idea to say no. And it would be a good idea to come with me and go see what A-7 wants with us... So, what do you say, Zeke? Come with me, and let's head to A-7? ...Please?"
Danni chose to eat a Wuater Pounder with Cheese bacon with a medium Mister Pepper. She could smell the new girl, and wrinkled her nose as the heat vents were aimed at her, making the smell even worse. But then, she put two and two together. Food over money, the bad smell. Oh. This wasn't the normal kind of girl. She listened to the banter back and forth between the girl and Jay, realizing that the girl didn't know what Jay really was. How long was Jay in the police force... Danni kept her mouth shut and chowed down on her food for a bit and then chased it down with soda before she formulated a few questions. "What's The Spades...? And are we really getting paid by the A-7's?" Danni wasn't expecting an answer, but it didn't hurt to ask.
Danni stood there dumbfoundedly. She had so many questions running through her head right now. These two already knew each other? Blood money? The Spades? Why were they just standing around so calmly right now? Was A-7 really going to pay them or was Jay just bluffing? And all they had to do to get her to come was... buy her some... WcDonalds...? Oh my fucking... She waved her hands in the air and gestured opposite of the gate area. "Okay, cool, buy her a burger. Let's just get out of here!"
Danni quirked her eyebrow at Jay's response to her question, but before she could ask more into it, there were shouts that were ringing out. Danni's head shot up to look ahead of her as she heard screaming and yelling, and then she suddenly felt herself walking backwards against her will. "What the-?!" Shots suddenly rang out, and then chaos broke out. Danni's heart was going a million miles an hour in her chest as she saw flashes of red and orange behind her eyes and felt a familiar searing pain on her left arm. She suddenly felt herself being released from what was holding on to her, seeing that she was in an alley of some kind with a gate barricading her from what was going on from out there. She saw a shadow appear in front of her only turning into fully human, but Danni only processed some of her words as her body was shuddering from the pure adrenalin that was going through her body. Soon, the girl was gone, and Jay told her to stay put, and soon he was off too. "Stay- WAIT!" Danni clenched and unclenched her fist, pacing back and forth like a caged tiger before she saw people running down the street and then suddenly felt a strong presence nearby followed by a weird sensation crash over her. A familiar sense of dread washed over the girl and she swallowed hard before she pressed herself against the wall, hiding behind a dumpster. She was crouched down and had her ears covered by the time Jay came back. She was taking in deep breaths of air trying to calm herself down, but it was on the verge of hyperventilating. She saw his shoes, and her head jerked up to look up at him and she stood quickly to attention. "W-What's going on out there?!" she whispered hoarsely. "Where's the other girl?"
Danni was taken aback by the chivalry she was being shown and said an awkward thank you to him as she fumbled with her hands that were about to reach for the door herself. Danni did as she was told to do, sitting down in Jay's car as she waited patiently. She only had a vague idea what was going on, which she didn't like in the slightest, but if the A-7 was really involved, she didn't want to piss them off. She wasn't really sure where they were going until they were driving into the downtown area. Her stomach started to churn as she wondered to herself what had she gotten herself into. She placed her messenger bag on the floor and opened it, pulling out black and white converse shoes. She slipped off her rubber boots and put them away, last were her gloves. She hesitated for a moment, staring at her hand before she slipped off the glove, seeing a little spark of electricity as she pulled it off. She clenched her fist and looked up, taking the phone in her hands and looked down at it. "So... this is how we're going to find one of the other two...?" She didn't have to be told twice to tuck her valuables away and made sure to secure her messenger bag in the trunk of Jay's car, keeping her ID and phone on her in her front jean pocket. She pulled her hoodie up over her head as she walked, feeling quite vulnerable without her gloves and boots, but it wasn't often she visited this side of town and she wanted to be prepared. She glanced down at the spare phone in her hands, then around their settings before glancing up at Jay. "What's... your power? If you don't mind me asking..."
Danni was stunned to say the least of what was happening. Here she was trying to live as quietly as possible. She didn't make a fuss. She didn't even partake in the vigilante acts that one could participate in given their powers. Hell, she didn't even use her powers. Well, only for special effects in her rock performances but nobody seemed to know that. Was it because...? She pushed those thoughts down and swallowed, taking the folders in her hands and looked at them. Shadow manipulation? Dark and Light powers...? Why would the A-7 need them? And here was her file... It was nerve-wracking to say the least to see her name there with her job, what she did, where she lived, her powers... everything was there. They had her on complete watch. Nothing was really private it seemed. She was feeling nervous just standing there and so she closed the files and carefully handed them back to Jay. "You can call me Danni," she said quietly, taking off her headset from around her neck and wrapping the chord around itself as she put the headset in the bag. "I'll come along, but I don't know how much help I will be to you. I don't... really use my powers."
Danni shoved her gloved hands in her pocket, trying to get in the beat of her song. Today was not fun to say the least and she wanted to get home to her cat as fast as possible. But it seemed like life had other plans for her instead. She felt a hand on her shoulder and she felt a familiar surge swell up inside of her. But for nowhere it to go, god it hurt so bad. She held her stomach with one hand and winced as swatted the hand away with the other, whirling around to see an unfamiliar face and a cop badge flashed in her face. Danni's eyes went wide as she immediately took off her headset and stood there like a deer in the headlights, processing half of the information that was just spilled to her. She caught him saying her full name, saying he needed to talk to her. "It's not about Tiffany, is it?" she finally said, stepping back and holding her messenger bag strap as she stood there staring at the cop. She looked at the unmarked car and back at the officer. She wasn't so sure about this whole situation...
Danni just blatantly stared at the customer. "E... excuse me? You... want it all in the same... cup...?" Danni shrugged her shoulders and put it all down, trying to hide her face of disgust as she put the order in. "I'll... get it to you right away. Name?" After getting a name, she ducked her head and went to the bar, quickly putting the order together in her head as she was mumbling to herself it was a weird day today. What was it with people and weird orders of coffee? Couldn't anyone just have a normal order of coffee? After about five minutes and managing to do what the customer had wanted, she took his payment and handed it over to him. "Here, enjoy and have a lovely day." With that, Danni hastily took off her apron and took her tips from the tip jar, grabbing her messenger bag and shoving her headset on. She pushed play on her playlist and marched out of the coffee shop, head down low as she started to walk off as fast as she could to the store. She didn't notice the cop that was leaning outside her work, her mind was elsewhere at the time.
Four-thirty, it was finally here. It was a hectic day to say the least. Everyone wanted their orders done just right, chilled or warmed at just the right temperatures, have certain shots in certain drinks... Danni was about to take off her apron and finally call it a day when suddenly there was a voice at the counter. Danni looked to her shift supervisor who nodded to her to finish the job which she groaned and slipped her apron back on and trudged back over to the cash register, forcing a smile on her face. "Yes? How may I help you?" She adjusted the bangle on her left wrist, tucking it under her long sleeved shirt with her gloved hands.
"I want a Venti Carmel Frappuccino, sub mocha with 2% milk, light ice, two scoops of vanilla bean powder, extra caramel drizzle, light mocha drizzle, some chocolate powder, extra cinnamon powder, light nutmeg powder, extra vanilla powder, add some cinnamon dolce topping and dark chocolate curls, extra whip and extra butterscotch topping~" Danni stood at the counter, staring blankly at the customer for a moment with no expression whatsoever on her face. She was dress in her black apron, rubber gloves and boots on, her hair done up in a bun to keep it out of her face. There was a line almost out the door at this point, people wanting their coffee or tea, and this prick just wanted a complicated order done, stat. Holding back a sigh, Danni put it all in the system as fast as possible, putting it all in by memory. "Name please?" "Zane" Your order is going to drive me INSANE. Danni printed out the ticket, placing it on a Venti cup and handing it to the next available barista while handling his transaction. "Thank you, please wait right over there. Next?" The next person to step up just stood there and stared at the menu for a while. Danni stood there, shifting in place as she tapped her fingers nervously on the counter. The customer countinued to stare... and stare... and stare... "Um... sir...?" Danni finally piped up. "Can I help you?" "... What sizes do you have?" Danni wanted to slap herself in the forehead, but she offered a smile anyways. "We have short, tall, grande, venti, and venta." "... Not small, medium, and large...?" "N-No. Short is small, tall is regular, grande is-" "Ooooh, I get it now." "Yeeees. So, what will you have?" "... Do you have non-caffeinated drinks?" The customers behind this man were rolling their eyes and groaning, and Danni could feel the pressure mounting. "Um... We have decaf coffee? Or hot chocolate? Or a chocolate chip Frappuccino?" "Ooo! Chocolate chip Frappuccino sounds great. I'll take a large- excuse me, a grande." "Great, name?" "Berry." The transaction went by quick enough with Danni ushering the next customer in line. "Hi, I'll have a Venti Iced Carmel macchiato with 10 pumps of Sub Vanilla with Caramel Syrup with 25 pumps of Caramel Sauce, Nonfat, and Extra Caramel Drizzle." Danni blinked at the customer for a moment dumbfoundedly before the barista behind her yelled, "Order of a Venti Carmel Frappuccino for Insane?!" Her shoulders hunched as her cheeks turned a bright red. 4:30pm couldn't come soon enough...
☉ Username: Maka Albarn ☉ Character Name: Danni (Daniela) Hensley ☉ Gender: Female ☉ Sexuality: Demisexual, Lesbian-Curious ☉ Age: 21 ☉ Appearance: zip ☉ Eye Color/Occuli Color: Eye Color- Sky Blue Occuli Color: Cyan ☉ Chosen Path: Normie ☉ Starting LV: ☉ Power: Electricity ☉ Classification: Elemental ☉ Personality: Artistic with her guitar, seems stand-offish at first but warms up to those she gets to know. When she feels adventurous, she likes to get out of her shell and really express herself, but that side only really comes out around close friends and in shows. Other than that, she seems socially awkward and stand-offish, refusing to shake hands with strangers unless she's wearing special gloves, or touching them physically. People who know her make jokes that she's a germaphobe which is not the case at all. ☉ Short Backstory: Danni seemed to grow up in a household that was normal enough; she had a mom, a dad, and an sister ten years older than her with a "firey" personality. Her sister was a fire elemental, and proud about it. Danni remembers not seeing her around often at the house, and waking up in the middle of the night to arguments that would erupt in yelling matches. Sometimes she would hear the walls and floors banging like someone would get in a physical fight, but it would end with her dad breaking it up. Danni tried to get close to her sister, drawing her pictures or offering small "gifts" like flowers or a pretty rock she found, but they wouldn't spend much time together otherwise. Her sister didn't like to be home. One night, the fighting got so bad, Danni crawled out of bed to see what was happening, only to be met with a wall of fire. Her sister was unhinged, screaming at her parents she was going to kill them. When she looked like she was going to send a fiery blast at her parents, Danni remembered stepping in the way and putting her arms out, which made her sister stop a little too late. Danni's left arm was singed, but the look of horror in her sister's eyes will be forever engrained in her head. Danni's sister was arrested, and she was out of their lives forever. A year after this incident, when Danni was around seven or eight years old, strange things began to happen to this rather normal girl. The lights would turn off or on before she would touch the light switch, she started accidentally shocking people all the time on contact, her hair would get frizzy and crazy on days of thunderstorms, her clothes always seemed to be staticky, and she could sometimes make the cat's hair stand up on end all over in a poof ball with a single poke of the finger. Her parents worst fears were confirmed, and Danni had to be registered. Remembering the incident that happened with her sister and bearing the scar of the incident on her arm, Danni swore she would never be like her and kept everything under wraps. She learned if she wore rubber boots, the shocks wouldn't happen as much. Gloves were next. Hugs became a thing of the past, and handshakes and any other physical contact was off-limits in her head. She tried to be a good daughter; help with chores, continue to go to school for good attendance and grades, tried to be an active member in the community, but it never felt enough. Her mom was going to therapy constantly due to what happened and was on heavy medication and would be asleep most of the time. Her father chose to work longer hours and was never home anymore. Danni felt like she was alone and isolated in her teen years and often struggled with her own thoughts and confidence in herself. When she was old enough, Danni moved out with her electric guitar, and her cat black cat Suduko. She got a part time job at a coffee/tea shop, and does mini concerts and shows with a band that goes by the name of Fate's Showdown. The shows is the only time her gloves and boots come off in public, which helps with interesting effects if she gets into her shows. ☉ Main Theme: Spoiler [MEDIA-youtube]V5M2WZiAy6k[/MEDIA] ☉ Battle Theme: Spoiler
Lost Voices Mr. Drove eyed Lakoda a moment before looking at Conrad to answer his questions. "The voices aren't always the same. Sometimes it's someone we have lost and we have gone after them, only to lose someone else... It's only recently we heard a maiden's singing voice along with the ones we lost as if its been taunting us..." He then looked at the boy on the bed who looked back up at him and then Mr. Drove hummed out while putting his hands behind his back. "His older brother thought he heard a voice of a friend last night and went out to look for them. Felix went to follow, only to lose his older brother in a fog near some woods by our village here by the farms. According to him, these skeletal figures came out of the shadows and ran after him. He twisted his ankle but made it back home to his mother. His older brother wasn't seen again." The man looked to Lakoda once more, seeing how one boy was holding her hand while the other one stood to her defense earlier and was standing halfway in front of her. "So, what's your story miss? Your friends seem to be awfully protective of you..." Lakoda looked to Everette and then sighed out quietly as she let go of his hand. She didn't want to create mistrust with the client, as he seemed to suspect something was up with her. She put a hand on Conrad's shoulder and stepped forward, looking to the woman that brought them here in the first place before looking to Mr. Drove. "My name is Lakoda..." She was letting the charm speak for her as it glowed around her neck. "I cannot speak without this charm around my neck because I had my voice taken from me at a very young age by a hag. She attacked my family on the road and slaughtered them with a skeletal army... I escaped because a group of mages stopped by and scared her and her small band away. She escaped without a trace. When I saw the mission, I wondered if it was the same monster that destroyed my life. That's why we are here. We want to help any way we can and give your village peace once more." "I see..." The man stroke his beard a moment and then finally spoke. "There's going to be a feast tonight at the Town Hall, to celebrate our harvest despite these trying times. Why don't you come, and there we can discuss strategies of taking this monster down once and for all?"
Aria was trying to think of cheerful thoughts as they went down further into the abyss. The blue light was sort of calming to her, but the shadows it was giving off was kind of creepy. Soon they arrived at their destination, and Torrin warned her not to stand in the center. Aria looked up to see intimidating looking statues staring down at them and couldn't help but to shudder a little. "Alright, do your calling thingy so we can leave." Aria hugged herself, deciding to avert her eyes to just the names of the kings as she tried to settle her nerves. It was then her communicator went off and the voice of Boreas could be heard. Something about a swarm was on its way, not to be a hero and get to shelter. Aria blinked in surprise and glanced to the dark prince. "Torrin... That sounds bad..."
Aria tried her best to listen to Torrin's tale as carefully as she could as they descended down the stairs. Down stairs was not her favorite place to go, especially when it was dark. There was candles to light the way with a snap of a finger, but that did little to soothe Aria's churning stomach. And as the story went on, so did the stairs, and so did Aria's fears. Basements were not her favorite places to be. Get it together, she scolded herself, pinching her wrist as she walked. It wasn't so enclosed as she thought it was, until they suddenly stopped, and Aria blinked and had a good look around. Is it just me or are the walls getting closer together...? And then it was then Torrin decided to reveal the big news of where they were going. GREAT! JUST GREAT YOU COULD HAVE TOLD ME SOONER. BUT NOOOOOO. I'M ABOUT TO GO INTO AN ENCLOSED PLACE WITH DEAD PEOPLE IN COFFINS. SOUNDS LIKE LOTS OF FUN! It was either that or turn around and go back up the dark stairways alone and maybe get lost in the castles somewhere. Debating with herself briefly, Aria sighed inwardly and forced a smile. "And leave you alone in this cheery place? Nah, I'll tough it out. Come on, let's get a move on." Aria skirted around Torrin and started leading the way, feeling her heart begin to pound in her chest. Oh man, what am I getting myself into...
Aria was curious what kind of history lesson it was, but Torrin wasn’t going to explain it right now. Instead he lead them to a pretty impressive looking castle. Enzo was going to be left up to his own shenanigans while Aria was going to stay with Torrin to help him seek advice from a history lesson she hadn’t received yet. “Try not to get lost,” she said to Enzo as she looked around the place. It seemed like an easy thing to do around here for someone who wasn’t familiar with the place.
Aria smiled at the comment that her and Torrin's mom would have gotten along. But then the subject changed and she was intrigued instantly; something outsiders had never seen. Aria stood to her feet from the ground and dusted herself off, and then Enzo let out a huge belch that seemed to echo for miles on end. "Niiiiiiice~. So what exactly are we going to see at the castle?" Aria asked, wondering if outsiders were even welcomed there in the first place especially with how Nora treated them when they first arrived.
A couple of things melded together in Aria's mind as she watched Enzo. The way he moved and how he held himself plus other suspicions she had were starting to make sense now. And then when he said it was dark out and it clearly wasn't, it all clicked together for her. Though he never voiced his infirmity, and neither did anyone else for some reason or another, she finally figured out what Enzo's ailment was. How could she be so stupid? She never really thought there was anything wrong with Enzo anyways. Maybe that's the way it should be. Enzo didn't tell anyone he was blind, nor ask for any assistance. Torrin treated him like a normal human being. Did he know what she suspected? Probably. As Enzo spoke about his mentor, it was then Aria was reminded how good she had it back on Amerath. A loving uncle and aunt figure to take care of her, and a grandfather figure who would show up here and there on special occasions; she had it good. Sure there were some unpleasant circumstances, but everyone around her had it worse... so much worse. It made her somewhat grateful for the council's decision to hide her away, but at the same time she wished it played out differently... It was then Enzo began to sing to Torrin and Aria listened carefully to the words. She had no connection to share with these boys. She had her mother still, yet she never met her. The only true loss she had experienced that gave her so much pain was Mika... She could only understand so much what it would be like to lose her Aunt Anja and her Uncle Lanar. She caught Torrin smiling at her a little before he walked away to his mother's grave, and then she glanced at Enzo. "You know, Torrin's right. You are a strange duck Enzo. But I like you. You're a good strange duck." She gave Enzo a good couple pats on the shoulder, and looked to his mentor's grave, his name clearly visible now. "I'm sorry, for all the losses you've experienced... I've experienced only a little bit of what that pain is like..." Hesitating for only a moment, Aria then wrapped her arms around Enzo and gave him a side hug, standing there a few moments as if she was trying to mend any hurt and anguish that remained in his heart. She then let go, smiling at Enzo as she made her way over Torrin. On her way, she spotted a stray rose brush growing by itself away from the graves. On it was blue roses. Thinking on her feet, Aria went over and carefully plucked a few flowers and then went on. She stood back, hearing Torrin actually talking out loud to his mother as if she was there listening. She frowned when he mentioned he abandoned his peopled, but smiled when he talked about the Flammie. He then rambled on and then eventually fell silent, which Aria took that as her cue to walk to the stone, bowing her head lowly in respect and then placed her flowers down carefully. She then moved by Torrin and knelt by his side, looking at him before looking at the stone. "Your mother sounds like she was a wonderful woman," Aria commented softly. "I bet she would be so proud of you for facing everything today."
Aria's face fell when Torrin pointed out his mother's final resting place, or at least or memorial. Aria didn't know the full extent of what it would be like to be without a mother for her she had Aunt Anja to fill in that role. She could still see it affected Torrin greatly and her heart went out to him. She couldn't think of any words to say though and before she could reach out to him and pat him on the shoulder, he was already on the hunt for the name... They found him. The grave was in a sorry state, which made Aria feel kinda sad. She didn't know what kind of person he was whether he was good or bad. Nevertheless, she knelt down by the grave and began to pull the weeds out of the way so they weren't obscuring the name anymore.
When Aria walked up to the cemetery, it wasn't what she was expecting at all. There were rows upon rows of stones, some with keyblades and some without. Some of them looked new while others looked dated and weathered. She slowed her steps in reverence for the sleeping, feeling as if now she was walking on hallowed ground. Soon Torrin caught up with her and told her to look for a certain name and explained the title of the place. "You know, when you mentioned Sleeping Keys, I was thinking of an inn or a tavern of sorts. Not exactly... this..." Aria pushed her side ponytail back behind her ear, walking beside Torrin as she looked at each name on the gravestones. She tried to avoid to look at the ages, catching a glimpse of a child a few paces back. It brought her memories of a certain grave back home on Amerath. Torrin asked her about her discoveries if any back at the library and Aria smiled a little. "We actually found a book," Aria said with a hint of excitement in her voice, but keeping it low in remembering where she was at. "My world, the one that was swallowed in darkness, at least that's probably the case of what happened, yeah, anyways, it was called the Kingdom of Rain. My parents were Queen Lydia and King Samuel.... And my great great great grandparents were King Arius and Queen Maya. And King Arius had blue hair while Queen Maya had this gorgeous red hair which is probably where I got this purple hair from. And apparently I have the same eye color as my grandpa too!" Aria stopped when she realized she was talking a lot and getting a bit louder and Torrin probably wasn't catching the excitement as much as she was. She cleared her throat and patted her bag. "Quinna let me borrow the the book. So I got some reading to do on our down time." Aria breathed out happily and then went back looking at stones. "Okay, Ezekiel... Ezekiel, Ezekiel, Ezekiel...."
"Hm...it's farther than I thought..." Quinna scratched her cheek as she led Aria forward. "So...how's the Realm of Light anyway?" She asked curiously as the two walked by bookshelf after bookshelf each one lined with hundreds upon hundreds of perfectly arranged books without a speck of dust in sight. Aria followed close behind, amazed with how many books there could be. She remembered her days with her aunt how she would read books and stories for her homeschooling but those were very few. She never been to an actual library. Master Choma had a library, but it wasn't as big and impressive as this. "It's... brighter," Aria said with a slight shrug of her shoulder. "It can be peaceful and then not so peaceful sometimes." "Brighter? That's a little on the nose. Though I guess I shouldn't be so surprised." Quinna spoke with a hint of disappointment in her voice. "I guess by now you've noticed that my family and Torrin don't exactly get along. I'm sure Nora did her best to drive that point home. It didn't always used to be like that though." She sighed and shook her head. "Actually you'd be surprised to know that–Oh! Here it is! Uh. Not what we're looking for exactly but the section." She motioned to the four rows of bookshelves to their right. "Every book we have about the Realm of Light. Something about your family should be here somewhere." "Sorry, I'm not really good at explaining things," Aria said with a slight cringe. She listened to Quinna try to explain the family affairs, only to get distracted with their destination. Aria glanced ahead, seeing that they have arrived at the books. She started to walk around, letting her fingers run along the spines of the books absently. "I... wouldn't even know where to start looking," she said sheepishly. "I was seperated from my family at birth, and no one told me about my heritage before for some reason... All I know is the name Dorin." "Well that's rough...but let's see if I can help you find out where you came from! Just check for your last name." She looked walked over down past two bookshelves and motioned by the one she was now standing by. "This should be your best bet at finding it. Family histories of note belong here. The kings have always kept an eye on those that could potentially turn into their enemies. Um...not that you would or anything since you seem to be okay being here but...uh...yeah..." Aria giggled a bit. "I came here to be a support for Torrin. I didn't even know I was a legitimate princess until rececently. I dunno if my family could've been a threat... the kingdom fell to darkness, that's why I was taken away..." Aria looked to the shelves once more, staring at the many impressive titles there. There were kingdoms of many different names, and names that seem to have a weight to them. One title seem to stick out to Aria though, even though it didn't bare her name. "The Kingdom of Rain...?" Aria pulled the book out by the spine. It was an impressive book with gold cursive lettering, and on the front bore a rainbow opal stone in a shape of a raindrop. It reminded Aria of her ring she wore on her finger. Curious, she opened the book to the first pages and found herself reading aloud. "The Kingdom of Rain, currently ruled by his majesty... King Samuel Dorin and Queen Lydia Dorin..." She stopped and blinked, making sure she was reading it right and looked up at Quinna. "Did I just find it by accident?" "For Torrin? I mean the family issues are one thing but I can't see why he'd need any...oh...oooooohhh." Quinna grinned. "That kind of support huh? Don't worry. My lips are sealed." She spoke with a smile. "Oh! So you found it huh? Mm..." She leaned in closer and took a look at the book in her hands. "Mm...yeah. That's the latest version of this. Must've been updated by my predecessor. I think there's an illustration here of one of the old kings and queens." Quinna reached forward and flipped forward a few pages and stopped upon reaching an illustration of Aria's ancestors. The man was wearing a polished armor adorned with jewels and his wife was wearing an exquisite robe that, even on the page, seemed to sparkle with starlight. The man had long flowing dark blue hair while the woman's hair was bright red. "King Arius and Queen Maya Dorin. They seem to be your..." She checked the footnotes. "Your great great great grandparents. Aw they looked happy. And boy..." Quinna took the book from Aria and held it up next to her. "I can see the resemblance. Same eye color as Arius it seems. Seems like your whole family has a thing for that bright hair too." Aria gazed at the book in amazement. She wasn’t expecting to find so much detail of her family and here it was. She looked at her hair and looked at the illustrations in the pages. Now it made sense why her hair was the color it was. So many small details about herself was starting to make sense that Aria didn’t know needed to make sense at the time. “I wish I could meet them,” she heard herself say aloud. "Well maybe you can. At least your parents anyway. I don't see any death dates on here so they're likely still alive. I mean the book is kind of dated and all but still." Quinna crossed her arms. "You can borrow that book if you want. We don't usually lend out books to people but since you're with Torrin I can make an exception." “Really? Thank you!” Aria gave Quinna a hug seemingly out of no where and then realizing what she had done, she backed up and chuckled nervously. “I mean, thanks. It really means a lot to me.” "Haha...thanks..." Quinna scratched the back of her head and smiled at Aria. "If you have any other questions about anything feel free to ask and if I don't have an answer I'm sure one exists in here somewhere." “Thanks again,” Aria said, taking the book and placing it in her bag carefully. “I’ll be sure to take care of it and I’ll bring it back as soon as I’m done reading it.” With that, Aria was off from the library and on her way to find Torrin. With Maka getting permission from Arch, Aria contacted Torrin to know where he was at via communicator and after learning where he was at, started to make her way to the Sleeping Keys.
