The pond suddenly turning into a whirlpool was certainly frightening. "Gurgi!" Aria cried out to the poor creature, only to realize she and the others too were being sucked down into the depths of the water. There was a moment where she thought she lost the ability to breathe as she was brought under, and then everything went black. Aria was coming to when Master Thallasa began to speak. She blinked and groaned, coughing up a bit of water and rubbing her head. "That doesn't look very natural to me," Aria groggily chimed in as she pointed to the water-like ceiling.
Aria nodded her head and then followed after the group. They were met at this large pond like thing, which Aria didn't understand why they just couldn't walk around the bit of land and look for paw prints. Who's to say Hen Wing ended up straight on the other side? What if she went out a different way. Still, Taran was already leading them in the pond, and Aria looked at the others before shrugging her shoulders and joining in to follow after them. "Maybe we can split up and search the other side of the pond for tracks?" Aria suggested as she waded through the water.
Master Midarah lowered her hand and then knelt down in front of Thea, putting a hand on her shoulder. "When things like what happened in Murgate Village come to light, the Magic Council feels absolutely responsible for letting it go unnoticed for so long. They are supposed to protect the world, and when this comes out, the reputation of the Magic Council is at stake and people question if they can really protect the world from such horrible things. So they hold an iron fist to try to set things right again..." Master Midarah sighed out. "It seems cruel to us... But it's sadly necessary sometimes. Otherwise people much crueler than the mayor and some of the town's people will get away with more heinous of crimes." The young woman looked up to Zephyr when he punched the wall and then to Gavin when he began to speak. She frowned slightly and stood up, dusting off her kimono. "Not just your past Gavin, but Thea's. And another in our guild as well. They know most members of the Divine Rose, and know that they have become successful mages despite their circumstances." Master Midarah looked to Thea and smiled gently at her. "This is why I requested Izra's release into our custody." The door opened, and a staff member bowed to the group. "Master Midarah, the Magic Council has reached a decision and wants to speak to only you." The master looked at her guild members and nodded her head to them before looking back ahead. "Very well. I will be back..." With that, Master Midarah proceeded forward, the door closing behind her. It was only a few minutes, but it seemed to drag on for hours while Midarah was in the courtroom alone. The voices inside were hushed, and hardly distinguishable. Soon afterwards, the door open and Midarah appeared to the group again. "Good news," she said softly to them as she placed her hand on Thea's shoulder. "Izra is coming home with us today. However, she will be under a 'house arrest' of sorts while the case is studied and the trial is underway. She will not be able to leave the guildhall unless I or an S-Class Mage accompanies her at all time. The others, Jack, Maliel, and Kyo will be taken to the place where the surviving children are being cared for to help out and be under close supervision as well. It's better than being imprisoned here though," she said with a brief sigh. "Izra will be waiting for us outside. The meeting with the Magic Council is over, so lets be on our way." With that, Master Midarah led the group back to the outside world. The sun was shining lowly in the sky, and crows cawed somewhere in the distance. A carriage waited at the bottom of the stairs for the group, as well as four rune knights standing around a figure. Izra was looking at the ground with heavy shackles on her wrists and ankles. They were nullifying her magic, making her feel more weak than normal. Her eyes had dark circles under them, her hair in front of her face as she stared at the ground. It didn't look like she received much rest since the time she seen the others. Master Midarah approached the guards and frowned at the sight of the shackles on the girl. "That won't be necessary. Please remove those from her." Izra hadn't noticed the others behind Midarah yet and kept her eyes down. The Rune Knights looked at each other and then reluctantly took the chains off of her. She did nothing to fight it, and didn't even move once the chains were removed from her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lakoda's eyes brighten when she saw the others return from their mission as well. Samuel and Everette looked ran down to the ground though and she felt sorry for the lads. She signed back to Everette a greeting and to rest well before she noticed Conrad sat by the window by the piano. She smiled when he motioned for them to sit with him, and then she took a sandwich from Shawn. "Thank you. Let's go sit by Conrad," she suggested. She then went over to her dear friend and sat down beside him, giving him a side hug. "How was your mission?" she asked as she looked him over with slight concern. "Everette and Samuel looked so tired... You're doing okay?"
Hai! Welcome to the forum. :3
"I reckon," Lydia mumbled in reply to the android. The room suddenly swayed oddly, making Lydia blink her eyes rapidly and shake her head a little. That seemed to cause her some more pain though and she winced, touching her head where it was hit. There was a wet, sticky feeling on there and she pulled her hand down, glancing at her now crimson covered fingers. "Whaddya know, I'm bleeding." She half-heard the conversation going, somewhat realizing that the alien moved on to someone else already. Was there really two people there? Or was she seeing double? "Don't mention shrooms if ya wanna take her on," Lydia called out to the one that was challenging the crazy chick and telling the android to back up.
I honestly only came back to find a few old friends and keep them close so I won't lose them again. But I remember respecting and looking up to you quite a bit Lux. I haven't really reached out to you, and I wish I did earlier before you left. I understand why though, and I hope you recover soon. Corruption's been around the corner for a while now on this site. I've seen close friends of mine go on staff and grow so distant with me that we never really talk again because how draining it is. There were times a couple years ago I was on the beating side of the stick if I reported something to staff, the person got in trouble, and then it would be found out I said something. We're going to miss you terribly, and I'm sorry you had to go through so much crap these past couple of years. I wish you well and a speedy recovery from all of this.
heyooooo! welcome to kh-vids~ how goes your day?
The gavel of the staff indicated that the time to speak out was done. "Your words will not sway me to change my mind," the Chairman's voice boomed. "What happened in that village had been unfortunate. However, you are still seeing the events with ignorance. We must go over all evidence before we are sure they can be trusted... Izra included. Master Midarah, teach your students to keep their tongue in check." Master Midarah's eyes did not sway from the head of the Magic Council. They were shining with determination, and she did not feel like putting her own students in place. "Chairman Gran Doma... I know there are regulations, laws, and rules to upheld. I know all evidence must be looked over with the upmost care. So since I have done the Magic Council so many favors in the past regarding questionable mages, I will ask one of my own; Let Izra come to the Divine Rose under my watch and care. I will take full responsibility of her and see to it she comes on the trial dates. If she continues to be interrogated and imprisoned here, I fear she will grow bitter of those who uphold the laws and let darkness take hold of her heart." "Master Midarah, this isn't just some child who's been cursed or has more magic to deal with than normal-!" "I am somewhat aware of Izra's history now that you've told me," Master Midarah stated with her eyebrows somewhat furrowed. "But based on what my guild members have relayed to me and the evidence so far that has been laid out, I see no reason to treat her with such hostility. She defected from her dark guild. There must be a reason for it. One from a dark guild doesn't put their own life on the line for an entire people who hated her. The mission she took on herself had no way for her to get any gain out of it save to give the children in Murgate a better life and bring those doing wrong to justice. She even denied the payment that was offered to her when she was hired to be rid of the village of rats and mice, was she not? That's not like a Dark Mage, Chairman." The Magic Council mumbled amongst themselves for a moment and then stopped speaking. "We will need a moment to debate a decision in private." "As you wish." Master Midarah bowed and then the small group was escorted out of the courtroom by one of the employees. The large doors shut behind them and Master Midarah turned to the others. "I told you not to speak up, but it was necessary," she said to them with a smile. "The council knows best, but they can be so blind by justice..." The young woman sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "Are you all holding up alright?"
"Good morning to you too, Illiana," Aria greeted the grumpy girl in a friendly matter. She listened to the conversation back and forth between those of the world, and then the mention of pig tracks caught her attention. As soon as Gurgi left, she looked at the others with renewed hope in her eyes. "It might be Hen Wen." Aria eagerly fetched her bag from her tent and slung it on her shoulders before coming up to the group once more. "I'm going to go have a look. If it's not Hen Wen, then I'll come back. Unless you want to come along as well." She made sure her communicator was placed in her pocket before she headed off after the fuzzy creature, beaming down at him. "Lead the way, Gurgi."

Aria fell asleep as soon as she said good night to Torrin in return. She had tried too hard the previous nights not to sleep and now her body gave into dreams. Instead of the usual darkness or the nightmare, her dreams went a different direction. Spoiler: Aria's Somewhat Good Dream She was surrounded by a pleasant light. There were warm colors of orange, pink, blue, and purple all around her along with fluffy clouds. She heard her name being called out to her and looked up to see two fuzzy looking figures beckoning her. One was a male, and one was an older female. "Mom... Dad...?" She somehow knew that's who they were. She couldn't make out distinguished features other than her mother had almost black hair that gave out a purple sheen while her father had brown hair. Aria felt joy in her heart as she forced herself to run towards them, closing the gap between them. She was taken into their arms, and hugged tightly. She looked up at them, but no matter how hard she tried, their features weren't clear. "When can I see you?" she heard herself ask them. The one she assumed to be her mother gently placed her hand on her cheek and touched foreheads with Aria. "Be strong, my child... We're proud of how much you have grown. Keep being that light in the worlds that everyone needs." Aria touched her mother's hand on her face and closed her eyes. There was silence, and then she opened them again, only to see they were gone. Aria was left alone again... As she stood there, she heard the sound of the wind whistling lowly behind her. The hairs of her neck went up and the familiar feeling of dread began to build inside of her. Aria felt her mouth go dry, and began to turn her head to look behind her. The colors had faded to black, and there was heavy breathing coming from the void somewhere- Aria woke up with a gasp, clutching the sleep bag tightly in her hands. She was a little shaken and was gripping the material tightly in her hands with white knuckles. As soon as she realized she wasn't dreaming anymore, Aria sighed out in relief and gradually let go of her sleeping bag. Her eyes glanced down to the family ring and she couldn't help but to smile a bit as she peered at it closely. Although her dream was weird, the pleasant feeling she felt during it was still in her mind. She then heard Fflam scream for help, and her mind instantly went on alert. Aria stumbled out of her sleeping bag and burst out of her tent, looking around quickly only to spot Qamar approaching Fflam and handling the situation. Aria could see the grey fuzzball and couldn't help but to smile a little and chuckle. "Gurgi?" She was surprised the little rascal was able to find them again in this remote spot.
Delivery of Cakes- Shawn, Yukyo, Lakoda Lady Erin chuckled. "Of course not! Help yourself to some treats." ~Smallish Time Skip~ The mission was a success, and the group was able to go back to the guild in peace. Everyone was satisfied and happy in the end, and the guild mates who went on this mission would receive their payments soon. Everyone was free to do as they chose now they were back at the guild. Lakoda stretched her arms above her head as she walked into the Guild. She was rather pleased this mission was successful for all the trouble they had gone through. "That went well in the end," Lakoda commented to the others as she headed towards the Main Hall to get some food. "I'm going to go grab something to eat. Would you like to join me?" she asked the two boys. Village in Peril- Conrad, Everette, Samuel Renza held the vial protectively to her chest, holding it like it was treasure. She then set it by the mirror and looked at them fondly. "I'll do my best to help out around here. I'll be the best helper ever. You stay safe on the road, okay? Write to me when you get home." The chief chuckled as he walked in through the door and placed his hands on Conrad's and Everette's shoulders. "At your own leisure, of course. You boys saved us all and deserve good rest. Thank you for all of your help... Until we meet again, be safe." ~Small Time Skip~ The boys were able to hit the road without much of a problem. The village was bustling with life when they left, and cleaning up was already being done. The large snake that was slain by the river had mysteriously disappeared. There were no tracks to indicate it had left, nor did its body end up down stream. It was gone, as if it never existed. The water was all clear of poison by this point, and the village was safe. One the way home, Samuel offered the boys an energy potion to sustain them until they got home. Despite having one himself, Samuel ended up passing out for most of the journey. He could barely keep his eyes opened as they arrived at the guild. Samuel exited the wagon, wobbling a bit as he carried his hefty backpack. "Finally... home..." He yawned loudly and nearly fell asleep standing up. He shook his head and looked over at the other two. "I'm gonna head to my room... take a nap or something," he said sleepily. He then trudged up the steps into the Guild and disappeared behind the doors, going towards the boy's dorms.
Master Midarah couldn't help but to smile at Thea's enthusiasm. The girl was still so innocent to the harsh realities of the world. "Thank you... Not a word unless you are spoken to, and try to keep your emotions in check," she said as she looked to Gavin, and then to Zephyr. "We're here for them, not us..." The group was soon led down the marble hallways to a Court Room of sorts. It looked like a grand court with black and white checked, marble floors and stunning architecture with a humongous portrait of the land of Era mounted on the wall above the main stand. Two frog-like staff members were seated underneath a raised stand facing each other and typing on type writers while eight Council members sat on one row with guards standing on either side of them, and then a man who seemed to be cloaked in shadows sitting above them. Master Midarah showed a hint of perplex on her eyes before she placed her arms in the sleeve of her kimono and continued to hold her head up. She and her small group were escorted to railings made out of wood and shaped to be an open box, sort of reminding her of where those accused of crimes stood on trial. A staff was thudded twice, echoing around the court room while demanding attention. The one in the shadows lifted his gaze to reveal his face and stared at the group with cold eyes. "Order. Today's topic is Divine Rose's involvement with the Murgate Village." Master Midarah pressed her lips in a thin line and held her ground. "I do not want to seem to be rude, Chairman Gran Doma, but I feel like we are on trial." "You're not," he stated frankly. "The ones you've come to testify for are though. State your business." The young woman sighed. "Very well. I appreciate all of you meeting with us on a short notice. We are here because my students and I are concerned with the treatment of those involved with the incident at the Murgate Village. My students here reported that those that have been taken into custody were the ones that helped foil the sinister plot that was going on behind the scenes; sacrificing young children to a spider demon. We understand that all who committed such heinous crimes at Mugrate Village need to be brought to justice, but those you have in your custody should not be the ones standing trial." "Are you questioning our authority?" One of the council members spoke out. Master Midarah scoffed. "Of course not. Laws need to be upheld to protect both realms of magic and non-magic. We are here to stand as a witness to those who valiantly did all that they could on their own to save and change the lives of those around them." "Have your students reported to you that the ones originally from the village were working along side Ex-Governor Nudgav? The one named Maliel was his sectretary, another named Kyo was serving as his butler, and Jack-" "Jack delivered goods throughout the village, yes I am well aware. But what would have you done if the Magic Council ignored your cries the first few times you sent for help?" Master Midarah's eyebrows were furrowed as the argument was beginning to become more heated. "If they would have left the village to get help, they would have been hunted down and killed. Or would have been at the mercy of the wastelands of the swamps and that Spider Demon. They did what they had to do to survive, but they didn't kill any child. Nor did they condone the sacrifices in the first place!" The staff was slammed on the floor twice, sounding like a gavel throughout the room. "That's enough." Gran Doma looked down on Master Midarah with a hard gaze. "Those you have spoke of will receive a fair trial. We must look over all evidence before we are sure they are as innocent as you and your guild members claim they are. You have brought the reports we requested?" "I have," Midarah said with a frown as she pulled out legal papers from her kimono sleeve and handed them to a staff member who bowed and took it aside. "We will look over those then and determine their fate then... As for Izra Tekuse, known as the infamous 'Necos', that is a different story." He shifted on his chair and leaned forward. "Her last name is actually Shirozin. We have found that she was once a member of a Dark Guild that goes by the name of Hydra's Claw..." Master Midarah seemed confused. "Hydra's Claw...?" "It has been forming in the shadows for quite some time. As far as we're aware, their activity has been quiet. But they still cannot be trusted. Though Izra Shirozin claims she had defected from the guild and is now an independent mage, we don't know her true intentions in Murgate Village. She will be thoroughly interrogated until we are sure she can be trusted to be out in the magic world again." (Feel free to speak or not speak up at this time)
Thanks Garrett! XD I appreciate it
Aria sat up straight when she heard Master Thallasa's voice and turned to the sound of them. She held the communicator protectively in her hands and listened as it sounded like Qamar was hanging around. Aria rolled her eyes and then held her communicator close to her ear to listen to Torrin. When he mentioned the younger ones, his thoughts went to Take and Tinarah... But hearing everyone was alright, she sighed out silently in relief. "Sorry, apparently Qamar was hovering outside of my tent," Aria said quietly for only Torrin to hear. "We had a talk of sorts earlier and... yeah... Anyways... We rescued a magical oracle pig from a bloodthirsty horned king? Apparently the pig has visions or something, and would reveal a scary weapon to the evil king that would end humanity or something like that. And he literally had horns. It was freaky. His castle was full of darkness, despair, and creepy thugs and bandits." She looked over to her bag and saw Glyde's torn cloak sticking out of it. Her cheery countenance fell as she held the communicator in her hand and rested her chin on her knees. "We... lost Glyde... He was keeping an eye out for us while we were rescuing the magical pig and... he was killed. Out of our sight... we came just as his light-" Aria felt her throat tighten and paused a moment to regain her composure. "...His light was floating away.... All was left was his keyblade and his cloak... Illiana and Qamar hasn't been getting along with each other... The whole team feels torn apart... I can't wait til we all get together again," Aria muttered the last bit. Her voice sounded drained, and devoid of her usual happiness.
