My sister is a big fan of crime shows and thought the same thing. There's a big difference between television and real life. The lawyers are also very aggressive in these cases because they don't want people who will be intimidated. I'm not saying don't do it but be aware that it's not going to be like Netflix Original Series Making a Murderer. These are real people who (potentially) took the life of another real person.

I just want to toss in that it's all well and good to get out of jury duty when you have a valid reason to, but if you're at all disturbed by some of the bullshit that goes on in our judicial system, jury duty is a (small) way to do something about it. There's no reason to dodge it out of laziness.

You can try hitting some thrift stores and yard sales. I've seen them going for $15 or $20 at them.

none of my issues are like... with products i've bought rn exactly. I took my phone to a repair shop recently and they broke it further so i've had to talk to them, i bought something from a website that then shutdown so i'm trying to get my bank to refund it, i have to make a drs appt bc i finally have health care and need to get some things sorted out, and I was banned from amazon payments like years ago bc they couldn't verify my identity and i'm trying to get it lifted

it's all just one big uuuuuuuugh and now i'm filling out college apps bc i'm transferring again and originally I thought I could apply for free bc I went to a community college and that's how it works in new york but apparently since I did a semester at a four yr school that deal is off the table
so now I want to remove the college I applied to for ignoble reasons, since the money hasn't been paid the app hasn't been sent so I should be able to but I can't find a way via the website and I don't want to pay $100 and UGH UGH UGH UGH

I'm pretty sure Amazon also has a system where you can transcribe audio for money. I've never used it and I can't recall the name (it's 4:30 in the morning) but I've read about it on tumblr. I doubt it pays too well but all you need is a computer and listening & typing skills
