Kel eyed the charm that Karina had pulled out following Aux's cat comment thought back to the frog one he had gotten himself from Kaida. He was still unsure how he ended up choosing one of his favorite animals of all things when making it, but he wasn't going to complain about it anytime soon. Back to his conversation with Karina, Kel raised a brow at the way she had paused. Part of him wanted to pry and ask what she was going to say at first, especially with how she'd looked away from him. "Yeah, he's definitely someone we can trust." For right now he decided against any further prying. There was still the who matter with the missing Castur after all and neither of them seemed to have any idea on where he might've gone. "Then should we just wait for him here or actually try to find him?" 13/20
Kel listen as Karina gave him a rough idea of what her future plans were, a bit surprised by some of the things that she had said. His homeworld offer had always been left open-ended so it not sitting well with her wasn't too big of an issue as he was never really pushing it as something that she had to do. Can't say that he would've even guessed that she would consider tagging along with Beuce as an option though. His hands found their way into his pockets as he adjusted his footing. "I don't see any reason why he wouldn't." He also didn't know much about him personally, but the intent here was to be encouraging so that little detail was left out. "Since my main way of helping has been turned down, I can at least wish you luck in whatever you end up doing. Be it wandering around or traveling with someone." True to form, he flash a small smile as Aux chimed in. "Wasn't he just here?" Posts: 12/20
"If he did forget, then he's certainly should remember now, though don't know how much of what I can do that he remembers. I've definitely gotten better since his time as Leo and Doctor L, but he still remembers me so he must've had some expectations." The more he tried to think about this, the more confused he was making himself, even if it was likely making it more confusing on himself. The multitude of personalities that he had was not making it any easier to figure out. His ears perked up When Karina had spoken to him. "If that's what you've decided to then, then that's fine. I made that offer since it didn't seem like you had anywhere else to go after all this was said and done." He'd also done it while ignoring all the various reactions he would surely get upon returning home after running away with a girl. Well, his mother would be a bit more forgiving of his disappearance if he'd did that though. "Since you're not taking the offer, what are you planning on doing then?" Posts: 11/20
If there was ever a time for someone to pop out of their hiding spot to reveal their intentions, it would be now given that they’d basically beaten all of the pirates and yet nothing from anyone. Even the remaining pirates didn’t make any attempt to flee for their lives. It was admirable, but he also knew that there was no real chance they had in getting away. Even if they weren’t just going around and killing most of them, if they got back then that would be more information that got back to Zulu and the less he knew about what they were currently doing, the better. To that end he saw it fit to not waste any more time in dealing with the few remaining pirates. As luck would have it, they had arranged themselves to be in a straight line, perfect for a zantesuken to cut right through all of them in one fell swoop. “As much I as want to go check on the others, I really don’t like the fact that Scroop was nowhere to be seen during that fight.” It didn't sit right with him, especially if he was still around lurking, then it wouldn’t be a good idea to lead him to where they’re hiding Jim and Farris. Zulu did still want that map and as Jim said he was the only one who could actually use it. Pirates Defeated: 3 Pirates remaining: 0/20 Words: 235 EXP: 47 Total EXP: 215 Post 10/20
Wiping away the blood that was starting to trickle down the side of his face from his newly gained cut he noticed that between the combination of Karina massacring the pirates and the way Aux and himself had taken care of the ones who had come forth to him, the few remaining pirates were being quite hesitate in making their next move. This allowed for him to noticed the destine lack of a certain crab alien that they had heard prior. “If your plan is to jump out when we’re exhausted, its not going to work Scroop!” He made sure that his voice was loud enough for Scroop to hear it if he was actually just hanging around waiting. Once his voice had settled, he looked back to the pirates who still hadn’t made any attempts to move closer and sighed. He would have to bring the fight to them it seemed. Oh well, it would lead to the same end either way and least with him he could guarantee it would be less brutal than what Karina was doing to the ones she was fighting. A single step forward had turned into a singular leap towards them that caused the pirates to scatter away, allow Kel to land in the middle of four of them. He allowed the tip of his keyblade to touch the ground, triggering the mines of minega to appear and seek out towards the nearest targets. Out of the five mines that were summoned, most of which had gone towards the closer ones to him and pretty effectively blew them up. A little more than what he was intending to do if he were to be honest, but it got the job done fairly well. After that last spell attention had been drawn towards him as another set of pirates headed off towards him, swords drawn poised to attack. The first attack was blocked and Kel was quick to kick the pirate back. The next one had managed to cut his cheek as he managed to move his head to the side right when the blow would’ve gone through his head had he not done so. He had saved himself from this attack, but this had left him unbalanced and ill prepared to block or parry the next attack aimed at him. It didn’t mean he was out of options though. Right as the blade was poised to strike his arm, a cloak of ice formed over the point where the blade would’ve connected and stopped it. For a moment the blade was stuck in the ice, then the ice grew had spread all along the blade and completely covering the pirate in ice. Readying himself for the next attack, Kel looked at the carnage that Karina had been bringing about on the pirates. It was way too late to stop her given the bodies that were piling her around her. Not counting the guy, he had just frozen in ice, he’d been avoiding trying to kill these guys. He’d definitely knocked them unconscious while giving them a reason to not try to face them again, but Karina was definitely doing that job better. “Consider it done.” He called back with a smirk as the next two pirates moved to attack him. The first once he struck first against easily, rending him unconscious and the next was blown back after his attempt to attack him had been met with an aeroga spell He was down, but slowly getting up. They had all seemed to have come to an agreement and Ignis was already one step ahead of them. In no time at all she had already scooped up both Jim and Farris and gone off to find a better place to hide them. It did mean that they were down another person for the upcoming fight, but with the intent being the ambush them they could still make it work so long as they weren’t too rash with things. Unfortunately, from the sounds of it they wouldn’t have the time to properly set up an ambush as the ever unfriendly voice of Scroop was heard getting closer as were the voice of what could only be the bunch of pirates that they had gotten to tag along. Karina had taken the heads on approach and attacked two pirates and brought all of their attention on her, giving him the chance to cast some magic to further disrupt their focus. He quickly moved off to the side and cast graviga on them. The spell had only managed to catch three of them which was fine for the time being as they were quite bewildered at the fact that they were now floating. He followed up by launching his keyblade at the trio in the signature strike raid attack, it quickly made short work of two of the pirates. The last one had gotten lucky and the spell wore off before he was attacked. It didn’t save him from the fall back down which did its own share of damage to him. Before Kel could make another attempt at trying to get Jim out of her, the latter was struck unconscious through less than ideal means. The only good thing that came from that was now he didn't need to try and come up with an excuse to get him to leave without Silver. They had managed to make it back to Farris even with the continued rain of bullets being fired at them and despite the few times that the bullets had grazed him, his stride never faltered. Once safely aboard the ship, they flew to closest place able to provide any form of safety and landed there. "While I do agree that we should make sure that Farris and Jim are secure as they rest, let's not jump right into last stand mode when we know so little about where we are. So maybe some recon would be better." A fight down here was more than likely inevitable, at least this way they could adjust to the landscape sooner and use that to their advantage when the time came. 6/20
That shrill voice had been the nail in the proverbial coffin, solidifying who this was in Kel's mind. "Yeah, honestly didn't think you'd made it out." Aside from the clear uncomfort in his voice, his words were true. There were a lot of people back then that he hasn't seen since that world and by this point, he could either assume that they somehow made it out like Leo, er, Zulu as he put it and went their own way. Or that the worse had occurred. He didn't tend to think about much, but it was a thought that did occur from time to time. "No, Kross was tolerable and much quieter than this." Zulu, on the other hand, didn't seem to change much from when he went by Leo and Doctor L for that brief period of time. With all the pirates that had popped up and all the weapons that they were holding, it kinda surprised him that they had managed to get behind cover without a scratch. Granted Karina was keeping their attention with all her taunting and deflecting of said projectiles. "Since you have what they want, we get you out of here and onto the ship with Farris! I may not know how long 1,000 ticks is, but now seems like a good enough time to head back." 5/20
Chrono always wondered why in the shows why people would bother with shooting at a large mech with bullets that very clearly did nothing to them and right now he was wondering the same thing, but feeling pretty grateful for their incompetence. One less thing to worry about in the long run as he turned off the lasers to give them a chance to recharge and swapped out his regular arms for the bladed ones and continued wreaking mayhem to all that was around him. When the explosions started to happen, that hadn't been caused by him, Chrys, Gladio, he immediately noticed that they were no longer shooting bullets at them, but instead had rockets. Something that could actually deal damage to them while possibly destroying the mechs they were in. Chrono had caught a glance at the rocket that was being aimed at him just as the wall of ice rose up to stop it. He might've lost a year or two to his life for a second there.
While Aux was one of the shady people in black helmet's that had caused them grief in the past, his own personal biased meant that Nequa was the one he was more so talking about. Either way, he let it alone and watched Aux continue to struggle with mopping the pink blob until it had formed into a living creature. Morph was what Jim had called it and just like that Morph had left, with Jim, Aux and the rest of them in tow. Their arrival at the captains quarters had ended with them finding the captain bound and gagged as a result of a mutiny lead by some Doctor L. Now the name alone had already brought up a feeling of unease that got worse when apparently it sounded familiar to Aux as well. "Greaaat, that doesn't make me feel any better." Despite the number of 'familiar faces' that came to mind there had been only one that gave him the same feeling as the name Doctor L did and shuddered at the thought of it being him again. "Of course not, we haven't done so before and its a little late to start now." 4/20
Kel certainly wasn't expecting the list of names of people that he did not know at all to all be people who wore black coats, none of which meant anything to him as he didn't know a single one of them. So he really couldn't blame Karina for the answer she had given him when there was to go off of in the first place. "Well, at least we can agree that whoever's wearing the black coat, in this case, is bad." He said to Karina before taking a look over to Aux and his moping endeavors and noticed him struggling with a pink blob. "Need any help? I know you got two mops and all, but that pink blob isn't going anywhere." Stubborn thing, whatever it was. Kel continued to watch Aux struggled before looking back to Jim. "Well, Farris is okay seeing as she didn't throw us overboard, not sure about everyone else though." Silver seemed to an alright guy, not as blatantly hostile as the rest of the crew was to them. "People in black helmets for a start." 3/20
The entire way there Chrono was taking the time to look through the controls to know what he was working with. Electrified blades that can swap out for the hands and two energy beams on the shoulders. The former would've been okay-ish to deal with when they made the attempt to capture it. As for the other weapons, he was just glad that the pilot was too focused on getting up from the magic bombardment Take had delivered to think about using them. Again the fact that he was currently piloting one would've been a dream come true be it not for the circumstances surrounding this situation. Once in the hanger, Chrono moved the mech towards the designated spot to avoid attracting attention. When he was in place, instead of going through whatever the usual docking procedures, his mech armed its shoulder lasers and started firing on the docked mechs in short controlled bursts. Mainly to avoid completely trashing the place this soon into the operation.
Kel did not share the same excitement that Jim did at this Treasure planet. It definitely sounded cool, especially if the treasures of thousands of planets were actually there. His eyes glanced over towards both Karina and Castur at the mentioning of a black hood. "Is it not someone you know?" He couldn't put the mental image of a black hood together with anyone that he's seen before, the closest thing being the coats that Karina and Castur wore so it was worth a shot. 1/20
"If you say so." Even though the acquisition of the mechs had gone smoothly, and hopefully the pilot of this one couldn't recall who had hijacked them while time was frozen for him. He should probably get a better idea on how that work once they got back to the castle. For a more immediate issue, Chrono hoped that this mech was as sturdy as it looked. As Tinarah and Take walked off to get ready for their part in this operation, Chrono decided to worry about the what-ifs later and tried to focus in on that task at hand while there was still time before it started.
