It's sad how many we've lost over the years. Thank you for giving us so much joy, both in and outside of Kingdom Hearts.
The fact of what her role in the story was. It's not like she's there just to be there. She's not like Xion where if you take her out of the story the story would be the same. She might not be in your face like Sora and Riku are, but she's still important.
Okay, so we've got this game's End of the World and World That Never Was, but there is still supposed to be one last Disney world, right? 'Cause let's be honest, I'm pretty sure most of us KH fans are more interested in the Disney worlds than we are in the original worlds.
Why would the writers give her anything to do in the earlier games? First game was to establish Sora's story. Second game was to expand on the Organization plot. At no point in any of the games before KHIII was there a need to focus on Kairi.
If she gave in, that means she gave up. If she knows Sora is coming, then she wouldn't give up and be consumed by the darkness as her heart would be filled with hope and light. The only plausible explanations for Dark!Aqua is either Xehanort really did possess her or it's a fake Aqua created to mess with Sora.
It still doesn't make sense for Aqua to give into the darkness as that would mean she lost all hope. Considering she knew Sora was coming to save her and stop Xehanort once and for all, why would she give-in to the darkness as if she just gave up on life?
First off, she was pretty much in a coma for a majority of KHI, so it's not like she could do anything. Secondly, you act like the moment she got her Keyblade in KHII she was supposed to automatically be on the same level as Sora and Riku or even Aqua. Kairi was always a support character and she did her job as one. If you want to talk about useless KH girls, Naminé and Xion are who you should be looking at.
Maybe now people will shut the hell up about her being useless.
So we'll finally get to see what the final Disney world for the game will be. I really hope it'll be something classic. As of right now, Toy Story is the oldest world in KHIII and I would really like to see something before the 90s.
According to Nomura, his favorite world hasn't been revealed yet.
I would say that this is a hint towards something, but since the only Disney movie in theaters right now is Ralph Breaks the Internet and Ralph was already confirmed to be a Summon...the chances of a Wreck-it Ralph world in KHIII is next to none.
They couldn't even make Frollo a boss in KH3D in the same sense as Clayton was in KH, which would have been easy to do. I doubt they'd make Gothel a boss in KHIII.
I can't wait to see what the main boss of Kingdom of Corona will be. Obviously it won't be the actual villain from Tangled, so that leaves either a Heartless or Marluxia. If it turns out to be Marluxia, that'll be a big demotion considering he was the big bad of the Chain of Memories Arc.
Considering that it's Halloween, I was honestly kinda hoping they would have had a surprise reveal for a world based on Hocus Pocus. I feel like it would perfectly into KH universe.
About time Zeus finally made an appearance in KH.
Why Vanitas though? I would have gone with Axel or Aqua or even Cloud before I got to Vanitas of all characters.
Man, it's been so long since I've seen the movie that I barely remembered him. It's great that they actually got McNally to reprise the role though.
One, does anyone know who is voicing Buzz Lightyear? When we got the English clips of Toy Box a few months back, it sounded like it was Tim Allen, but I'm not 100% sure. Especially since they got Jim Hanks to reprise as Woody instead of Tom Hanks. And two, who is Joshamee Gibbs? That character does not sound familiar to me.
But here's the thing; It had been established that Aqua knows for a fact that Sora was coming. She should not feel any hopelessness if she knew absolutely that Sora was coming to stop Xehanort and save everyone.
I hate what they've done to Aqua. It makes absolutely no sense for her to give into the Darkness.
