I'm guessing that's for 358/2 Days and nothing more (which, as it stands, is quite impressive that they were rounding up a cast this early). I don't believe Re:CoM will come stateside. Isn't the PS2 effectively dead anyway? Last-gen systems died pretty early this generation, except for the GBA, which lasted like two and a half years after the DS came out.
I'm VERY skeptical about this. It hasn't even been a year since we heard about three upcoming KH installments, NONE of which have been released anywhere, and so I have a lot of doubt that a fourth KH game is under development as well. For a series that has an actual story arc of a plot, I find it hard to fathom that there are four completely separate installments simultaneously under development. Besides, doesn't the team have their hands full working on Versus XIII?
For God's sake, no one upload the higher-quality video!
Cool! And yeah, it sucks that there's been no news at all, despite the fact that only four months ago Square Enix said that 358/2 Days would be released in Summer '08. >_>
Sweet! I actually listened to all of Drammatica last night (well, except the Front Mission or Live A Live songs, since I've never played those games--although technically I haven't played Heroes of Mana either, but I've listened to the entire OST before, and loved it overall), but now I can't wait to get home and download these high-quality mp3's! You claim they're higher quality than the m4a's I've listened to, and I'm gonna hold you guys to that claim!
On the left-hand page of the 358/2 Days pages...at the bottom of the screen, int he !Check box...what exactly is that thing? We see Roxas, Saïx, and what's that rising next to Saïx that Roxas is staring at?
A demo!? I guess its release date is a lot sooner than we all thought. It may even be out sometime in Q2 2008!
A shoddy translation, but interesting info nonetheless. Still, it really does seem like this game is just like Chain of Memories, in that you're just reliving the events of past games in the series, but with a new overlying story (similar to Mega Man Xtreme and Mega Man Xtreme 2).
"To obtain it, you must lose it." Very similar quotes were prominent in Chain of Memories: "Ahead of you lies something you hold dear -- but to claim it, you must lose something first." And also talking about Castle Oblivion: "In this place, to find is to lose and to lose is to find." Also "To lose and claim anew, or to claim anew only to lose..."
Don't get your hopes up just yet. A game's director wanting the game to be released internationally means nothing, or at least extremely little. It is the game's producers who ultimately make the decision (I think...it may actually be some other department of the company). I'm pretty sure Nomura wanted FM+ to be released internationally, and we all know what happened there. Since Japanese cellphones tend to be considerably more powerful than American cellphones, I can't even see a reason how it COULD be released internationally.
At the same time, it is a bit weird to see PS2-quality music playing alongside scenes from games on systems with sound chips inferior to that of the PS2's.
I don't find the information on the trailer music pointless at all! It is a bit disheartening, though, that no new music was used. :(
Yes, because when has 1UP given false information before? 0_0 My God, I can't believe how many people here actually believe this ****. 1UP is a completely unreliable source (especially when it comes to KH, as we've seen many times before), and really, take everything they say with a formula unit of salt (they're not even worth a single grain).
Is Aya pointing a gun at her mouth, like she's about to commit suicide? Or do I just have very poor depth perception?
Whoa, Golbez (assuming that the character on the far right of the scan that's right beneath the logo is supposed to be Golbez) looks NASTY. I love it!
First of all, you're all jumping to conclusions by assuming that this is a fighting game. We still don't know for sure. Second of all, if Sephiroth and Cloud are in it, I wouldn't be surprised if they get an unfair amount of spotlight time. :(
Heh, I'm not surprised that people here are the most excited about Vs. XIII, considering this is a KH board, and Vs. XIII won't be too far off from KH. 'Course, I'm no different.:D Although, I have to admit that FF XIII looks amazing too. I remain fervent in my belief that it will be the best Final Fantasy game to date, and that Vs. XIII will completely trump any KH game.
OH...MY...*******...GOD! FFIV for the DS...wow, that's just insane. Sweet, I had no idea about it until you posted the info. Thanks, Xaldin!:D
Ugh, so many Linkin Park KH AMV's....
