//Satoya High School// Scarlett didn't react to Dale's summary of the job. Typical paranormal stuff, I guess. She had to admit though, she was a bit disapointed that they wouldn't be able to use a lot of magic. She had kind of been expecting some glorious battle mission to save some kidnapped guild member or something like that. Oh well, this was going to have to be good enough. Silently, Scarlett followed behind Dale as they went on their way to the mission. Dale didn't seem as open as he had been last night, and Scarlett figured that that was a one time thing with this guy. He was probably just pissed off and needed to vent and she just happened to be there. But.. Pissed off about what? Most likely that Levi guy talking to Johanna. That was the only thing that really made sense. So did Dale like.. Like Johanna? Or was it more of a big brother type of feeling. Oh well. She didn't really care that much. She had a semi-alliance type of thing going here with an well known member, and she didn't want to ruin that. As they entered the school, Scarlett frowned a bit. She had never actually gone to school before. She hadn't even been in one to be honest. It was a weird place that smelled like sweaty boys and failure, and it didn't look like a very fun place to be for seven hours a day. She took in her new surroundings, double checking her bow that was hooked around her back. Dale said no magic... But he didn't say no bow usage... She stepped into the Principals office after Dale and nearly laughed to herself. So this is where I would have spent lots of time if I had gone to public school...
Scarlett looked at each member as they approached the table, swinging one of her legs absentmindedly. She hadn't really noticed any of these people yesterday. Good. The less loud and obnoxious people to deal with, the better. She sighed, pushing her seat back to its normal position when she observed one of the members blowing a kiss to some other chick. Umm okay. Cool. It's whatever. But, that was weirdish. She leaned over and nudged Dale with her elbow and made a slight nod of her head towards the member. Plus, her accent was weird. Scarlett hated weird accents. Yet again, she leaned back in her chair, this time pushing her hair out of her eyes. "Okay so, what's the plan?"
Scarlett's first night at the guild wasn't exactly a cake walk. She had remained awake past midnight, staring at the bottom of the bunk above her. This felt weird. Wrong, almost. She had never slept in the same room as anyone else before, except for that one time she discovered a hobo sleeping in the bath tub of an abandoned house that she broke in to. Yeah, not one of my better nights. She pushed herself up into a sitting position, leaning on the wall behind her. She ran her hands through her hair, sighing. It was so quiet here. Like, a weird quiet. Not the stressful quiet, but a still silence. There wasn't a threat around, unless you count the other girls deep in sleep. Scarlett didn't really know what to feel. It was just plain awkward. And it was about to get worse. She woke up curled in a ball, shivering. When she heard the other girls moving around, Scarlett jerked up, reaching down in between the wall and her bunk for her bow. She had hid it there the night before, just in case. As she brought it up, things came crashing back. The guild. The people. Ugh. She sat up, combing through her hair with her fingers. Day one was off to a sucky start. She got changed into a pair of black stretched out jeans with rips in all the right places, perfectly framing her build. She through on a faded gray tank top that was probably a bit too low that necessary. It only took a moment for her to through her hair up into her casual ponytail and walk out the door, into the main guild hall area. She walked straight up to the Job assignment board and was happy to see that she was on a mission with Dale. A small breath of relief escaped her mouth as she turned to find him. She scanned the room and found her exactly where expected; in the corner of the room. Well, this could either be really awkward or really chill. Here's goes nothing. Scarlett made her way across the room, not caring to look at anyone else. She pulled the seat out across from Dale and sat down promptly. "Looks like you're stuck with me today." A smirk crossed her face as she leaned back in her chair. It wasn't really in a flirty tone, it was almost more of a pitiful tone.
Scarlett signing up to go to High School. Ew. Also, buying and equipping one Gaia Bangle.
Scarlett nodded and followed quickly after Dale. What had gotten into the guild? Was it some sort of enemy? If it was, was this guild even prepared? Seriously, this guild was very low class if someone had broken into it already... She sighed, pulling out a arrow and preparing to nock it. She had deadly accuracy, especially at close range. Once they had reached the girls' dorms, Dale had already began yelling stuff out, but Scarlett took a different approach. She banged on the first door loudly with the side of her fist, knowing that that action would get the attention of whoever was inside.
Ew plz leave.
It's also something I don't say very often... Scarlett thought to herself, still wondering why she was even here. She just kinda looked around the room, thinking to herself. When he mentioned that she had basically nothing to gain by talking to him, she muttered something under her breath. "It's not like I have anything to gain by talking to anyone else in this stupid place." Whoops, that probably wasn't the right thing to say to someone who was so high up in the guild. Oh well, she didn't really care at this point anyway. "Maybe I'll take you up on that offer sometime... And trust me, I've dealt with enough crap from some guys already, they can't really offend me at this point." She looked around the room as Dale began to use his ice magic to clean up the mess. I wish I had learned ice magic, its seems so cool and useful. For a few moments there was a silence, and Scarlett considered saying something along the lines of 'See you around' or something like that, but her thoughts were shattered by the sudden sound of a girls screaming voice. Her eyes jerked up to meet Dale's and her bow was in her hands in a matter of seconds.
"Nah, I totally get it." Man, those words felt foreign in Scarlett's mouth. But hey, this guy hated Levi too. That old saying.. 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend'? Yeah, I guess that could apply. "That Levi guy tried to pull the same crap on me before Johanna came over. I thought about giving him a straight kick to the balls to be honest." She shrugged again, the corners of her mouth twitching up and her eyes shimmering in a mysterious way. Scarlett leaned back against a wall, feeling a little bad for Dale. He clearly like this Johanna chick. That much was obvious. A few moments of silence passed before Scarlett spoke again. She ran a hand through her ponytail, knowing that she agreed with Dale. "Yeeeah. I don't do so well in the 'normal' department either. But I guess I'm used to it.. I mean, er, over it. It's not a big deal." Her eyes flickered back and forth for a second, hoping he didn't catch that. This was weird. Awkward. What was she doing? She didn't have deep talks like this. It just made things too personal. She sighed, not really knowing what else to say.
Scarlett inched away from the boxes now, sort of surprised the guy hadn't blasted her to pieces. When she managed to get a better look of him, she realized that it was Dale, from earlier. Oooooh. It made sense now. She suddenly felt aware of how awkward and creepy she looked in this position, but she didn't really care to be honest. "Yeeaaah." She muttered in reply to Dale remembering her name. "It's just that some people are so stupid and I just.." She stopped when he asked the question about what she was doing here. Uhhhh... For a few moments, she thought he was asking what she was doing here at the guild. Trying to find a place to live, not just jump from town to town. Try to actually gain something out of the pathetic life I was given.. Nope. Not going into details. He would have to settle for vagueness. Althought, that didn't seem to work out to well for Levi.. Oh well. "Uhh.. I don't know. Just kinda hoping to work on some stuff... And things.. And ya know..." Well that went well. Screw you brain, why do you have to be so stupid? She shifted somewhat awkwardly, shrugging her shoulders a bit to make things more casual.
"Yeah, I know who Dale is." Scarlett said blankly, her mind floating back to the near-fight just a minute ago. Scarlett gave Johanna a sharp look through the corner of her eye. I literally told you my name ten minutes ago, but you were probably too busy flirting to notice. Just another typical girl.. Scarlett sat up on her bed and yanked the first thing out from the top of her worn out bag. The bag didn't hold much, just the bare minimum needs that she had been living on. The corners of her mouth turned up at the sight of her favorite item of clothing. She yanked the darkened leather jacket on, relaxing at the familiarity of each rip and tear. At least some things stay the same... She stood up abruptly, tossing her bag onto the bed. "This one's mine, so don't even try to take it from me." She swished her loose hair that fell from her ponytail and turned to leave the room. "Scarlett. That's my name. And I'm going out." With that, she exited the room swiftly. She didn't actually know where she was going, so she just kind of wandered around. The Guild Hall was, honestly, probably the coolest places she had ever been. It had large ceilings in some places and pretty awesome architecture. She pulled the jacket tightly around her and continued down the hallways, alone. She pondered about exiting the castle somehow, but it was probably a risky move on the first night. That was when a loud noise shattered her thoughts. What the heck was that? Time to do some exploring I guess.. She shrugged to herself, following the sound as it echoed down the hallways. Eventually, she made her way to an opening of a room. The noises were the loudest now, and Scarlett could tell why. A figure was alone in the room, and seemed to be trashing some furniture. Scarlett, who was now extremely curious, slid into the room quietly, stationing herself behind a stack of boxes. She watched this guy for a minute or so, taking in his raw power and what looked like severe rage. That's one way of controlling your anger I guess... In an attempt to reach a more comfortable position, Scarlett stretched out her right arm casually, but didn't exactly notice the small box just in her reach. The box tumbled off the top, causing a avalanche of three or four more to go tumbling down after it. "Damn it." Well, that was unexpected. Scarlett, knowing her gig was up, stepped out from behind the boxes. She hadn't really gotten a good look at the guy while he was going on his rampage thing, but she sure hoped he wasn't completely unreasonable.
Scarlett leaned back against the table, falling back again into a silent frustration. Her thin eyebrows were furrowed into as much as a line as she could manage, and her arms remained in a crossed position. She didn't pay much attention to the other guild members due to the fact that her eyes were glued to the Dorm assignments. She cursed under her breath as she realized she was stuck with lover girl over here, Johanna. Ugh. Great. I'll bet her room is all roses and flowers and happiness. Greeeat. Scarlett's let out a deep sigh, and was about to complain about her predicament when Levi stood up abruptly. Something seemed to have started between him and.. Dale? I think that's his name. Scarlett sat silently, raising her eyebrows at Dale's deep interest in Levi's mask. Yeah, why is that anyway? I don't believe any of Levi's bullshit about it causing fear. It's gotta be a coverup for something. Her eyes opened a bit at Dale's offer of a fight. Dang, she was totally placing a bet on him. But of course, not to her surprise, Levi made up some comment about how insulting it was to fight an injured man. HA. This Levi guy had a lot of nerve, and Scarlett couldn't wait to see him get epically crushed in a month. Add Dale to the list of people that Scarlett didn't completely hate. Scarlett pushed away from the table and left the main hall without talking to anyone. She yanked her very limited things behind her and made her way down to her assigned dorm, and proceeded to nearly gag when she opened the door. Johanna had already been settled here, but the looks of things. White walls surrounded a very light-hearted room, and Scarlett hated it. Although the large window was a nice touch, Scarlett narrowed her eyes at the many cages. Birds, right? Ugh. Greeat. Johanna would be annoying anough, and now she had to deal with her stupid birds too. Well, here's to a terrible time with a guild full of mostly idiots. She flopped herself down on the bunk furthest away from Johanna, sighing loudly as she did. Top bunk or lower bunk? Eh, whatever. She didn't really care. Who knew how long she would be here anyway? This was certainly a different lifestyle than she was used to. It was a lot different actually. Gone were the days of hopping from town to town. No more breaking into abandoned buildings to find materials to sell or food to eat. I guess this could be a good thing. It's just going to be a while before things calm down. She sighed again, staring up at the bottom of the bunk above her.
Weapon: Bitchiness... And sharp nails. //Guild Hall// Could this Levi guy be any cheesier? Honestly... Scarlett stood up from the table, her eyes rolling in clear annoyance. "How about I spare you some jewels so you can go buy yourself some better flirting skills? Or better yet, just stop trying altogether." Honestly, this guild thing was turning out to be a big mistake so far... Scarlett then turned to Ren, who had just know took notice of her most likely due to the fact that Levi had ignored him. Yay. I'm the second choice, she thought sarcastically to herself. "So far, you've turned out to be the only semi-likable person here. Try not to ruin that." It wasn't really a full out compliment, but it was probably the best anyone here was going to get. Scarlett turned around as a girl approached her, steaming about something she had said a few moments ago. Scarlett simply let it roll of her back, not really paying attention to what the girl said. She was too nice, defending other people she didn't even know. That type of attitude would get her killed sooner rather than later. That was something Scarlett had learned from a very young age. Oh well, that's her problem. "Brothers and sisters? For some reason, it looks a lot more like a bunch of strangers trying to show off. But maybe its just me." Scarlett added much needed sarcasm to that last part and rolled her eyes as the girl walked away. "Can't even finish what she started.. Typical." She muttered, shrugging her shoulders. Not my problem.
//Guild Hall// Scarlett let out a half-snort half-laugh of sorts when Johanna mentioned how 'brave, courageous, and willing to help' these people were. "Sorry, but I think you must have got a bad batch of new recruits, because these people," she motioned to the morons still fighting, "don't really seem like the type you're looking for. In fact, they don't really seem like the guild-type at all." She sat up quickly, accidentally brushing her hand across Ren's arm as she did. Eh whatever. "I'll bet most of them won't last longer than a few jobs. But I bet you get a lot of people like that nowadays." She flicked a piece of red hair out of her eyes and adjusted her bow to a more comfortable position on her back. "The name's Scarlett. And trust me, I'm not going to be one of those people." Her tone showed confidence and almost a little boredom was reflected in her voice.
//Guild Hall// Scarlett put the glass down and finally took notice of the food. She picked up a fork and toyed with it for a moment, not really interested. She glanced up at the lady who had started talking to them and offered a slight up-nod to her. "Please tell me they at least have vending machines here, because I'm gonna need a pop sooner or later, water ain't gonna cut it forever." She sighed, leaning back on the table and putting her hands behind her in a resting position. So far she wasn't all that impressed with this guild, and she really just wanted to get out on the jobs already.
//Guild Hall// Scarlett ignored this Levi guys attempt at victimizing himself. She would have probably just ignored everyone the entire rest of the day, if not for YET ANOTHER GUY coming directly up to her. Let me guess, another self-absorbed snob looking for a bed-buddy. Not a chance, pal. She opened her mouth to tell him to get lost, but apparently he had other plans. The guy had kind of ignored her at first, and she had to admit that made her a little frustrated. She was contemplating pushing Ren away too, but she soon caught on to his trick. He seemed to be flirting with Levi as a joke, and the corners of Scarlett's mouth twitched up in amusement for a mere second. She swiped a drink off the table and brought it up to her lips in an attempt to hide the small smile forming. If this Levi guy didn't realize what was happening, Scarlett was sure that she'd end up bursting into laughter mid-drink. Let's hope this guy isn't a complete moron.
//Guild Hall// Scarlett had just gotten done dealing with one overconfident weird flirt, and yet here came another one. Maybe this guild was waayy less professional then she thought. Ugh, well, too late to back out now. She looked over at the person who had winked at her (Thomas) and rolled her eyes. "I think you better start paying back everyone who made the mistake of betting on your pathetic attempt to show off. And if you call me 'babe' one more time, I'll make you wish you didn't." Her time was sharp and demanding, with her eyes squinted a bit in annoyance. Wasn't there anyone here who was professional? Or was this just one of those lame guilds that thought they were so much better than everyone else? Ugh. Scarlett decided that when it was time to room, she would find the largest one and claim it for herself. No one here so far was even worthy of sharing with her.
//Guild Hall// Scarlett would have just ignored the newest addition to the moron club, if not for the fact that he chose to sit right freaking next to her. Bad move, buddy. She turned to make some completely rude comment, but was met with the sight of the creep staring at her. ....Can you spell desperate? Who did this guy think he was anyway? She debated between simply launching some attack on this fool, but decided on a more simple approach. "Sorry, but I'm so out of your league." She said in a matter-of-fact tone, giving the creep a two-handed shove, hoping to cause him to fall off the table.
//Guild Hall// An extremely gorgeous girl with shimmering dark red hair entered the Guild Hall fashionably late in a swift motion, her bow hooked around her back and her hair tied up tight in a long ponytail with her bangs pulled out. Scarlett's hair swished back and forth as she walked through the doors, her bright eyes shimmering with satisfaction. She didn't care that the older members had already given the whole newbie speech, she didn't need their help. She had a plan to climb to the top of this guild faster then any of these pathetic newbies could imagine. As she took in her new surroundings, she noticed a fight breaking out. What bloody idiots. Morons who think they are hot stuff have already picked a fight. How childish. She took note of each one, assessing their noticeable flaws and making predictions on how to take each one down. "I'll bet everything I own on the fact that you all are complete morons trying to show off skills that you don't even have." Scarlett propped a chair out from a table and took a seat on top of the table, resting her feet on the top of the chair. None of these people seemed to be worth her time of effort by the looks of them.
Name: Scarlett Annabeth Wane (Scarlett with two t's.. Yes Skyheart I'm looking at you...) Gender: Female Age: 19 Description: Scarlett is a stunningly beautiful girl, but that's not the only thing memorable about her. She has dark scarlet-red hair that falls down past her shoulders, and a slim but athletic build. She reaches 5'7, and is usually seen with a smirk on her face. Spoiler: Picture of Scarlett Personality: Lets just say, for such a small girl, Scarlett can really pack a punch. Literally and figuratively. She has a hot mouth and isn't afraid to say what's on her mind. She has never really cared about how what she said affected others, and therefore has defected a carefree attitude. I'll bet you can't wait to meet her. Weapons: Her ancient yet loyal bow and quiver stocked full of arrows, sharpened to the prefect point and ready to strike. Armor: She gots none at the moment AS: Quick Blitz, Quick Blitz, Cure Strengths: Working alone, quick thinking, mostly physical attacks due to her magic ability not being the best, running, and climbing, Weaknesses/Fears: Oddly enough, Scarlett fears being alone. She's scared to face the fact that she might not find anyone ever in her life that even wants to be her friend, as cheesy as it sounds. She is also not a big fan of heights, and bugs. Hates bugs. History: Scarlett's wealthy parents were thrilled to find out that their firstborn child was a healthy baby boy, who they named Maxus. What they weren't so thrilled to find out about though, was that he had a twin sister. She were so disappointed in this, because they had only wanted a son that they could send to an academy to earn honors for his family. Because Scarlett's parents were so upset with their new baby girl, they didn't put any effort into her at all. Literally. For the first 14 years of her life, her parents interacted with her as less as possible. Nurses and maids took care of her meals, exercise, personal hygiene and minimal entertainment. She was allowed outside once a week during the day, and that was all. She grew up as a very quiet kid, not knowing what she did to deserve this horrible treatment. Her only escape was through the broken lock on her window. Late at night, when she had already tried to cry herself to sleep, she would sneak out the window and run. Deep into the forest behind the house was a tree trunk that was broken in half. The hollow top half was the perfect place to hide her most prized possession. The Bow. It was the only thing that kept her going through the dark days spent alone in the room. She had found in half-buried in the forest grounds, and instantly knew it was special. The bow emitted power as soon as you came around it. Whenever Scarlett held the bow, she felt like the most important person in the world. If anyone walked through the forest, they would undoubtedly notice the hundreds upon hundreds of holes in trees, targets set up, and imaginary dummies destroyed by countless arrows. She simply picked the arrows up when she was finished, and returned it to the quiver. As Scarlett defeated countless imaginary enemies and monsters, one thing stayed constant. The bow and arrows condition never dwindled. They remained perfectly sharp and edged, ready to snipe down their next victim. This was Scarlett's escape, her paradise. Things all came crashing down the night of her and her brothers 14th birthday. Her family had gone out to celebrate Maxus's coming of age and to congratulate him on his large improvements in his magic skills. Like usual, Scarlett was left behind. All she got for a birthday celebration was a half eaten cookie shoved through the food slot in the door. She had learned not to think about what she was missing anymore, even though it hurt her not to be out celebrating her birthday also. Scarlett hasn't cried in 3 years, and she didn't plan on crying anymore. She had forced herself to become emotionally drained, not trying to feel anything. So Scarlett waited that night, curled up in her cot of 14 years. Except they didn't come home. At least, not when they were expected. Scarlett didn't think much of it. Big deal? They were out partying a little too late. It's not like that was new. But, something felt different. She heard a loud knock at the front door. Maids scrambling to open it. Through the thick door that held her prisoner, she heard nothing but muffled voices. Then suddenly, a maid cried out. Scarlett pressed her ear up to the door, shivering against the cold of the metal. "He's... Not going to make it." It was about three hours later that Scarlett heard the news. At the diner, an argument had erupted between Maxus and an annoyed worker while his parents were outside. The worker became so furious that he shot a spell deep into Maxus's heart, and there was little hope of him surviving. About three days passed before news spread through the home. The nurses spoke in hushed whispers and quiet sobs. Scarlett knew that he was gone. But, she didn't know how much her life was about to change.A week went by, with the whispers dying down and many crashes and bangs throughout the house. Food came only once a day now, and it was usually just a biscuit. Scarlett was furious. She was tired if being treated like an animal. She told herself that in 3 days, she would break out and see what was going on. So the days passed, and there was practically no noise from the outside of her door. The food had stopped, and Scarlett was completely confused. She spent the three days huddled on her cot, allowing herself to think of all the possibilities. It wasn't till the dawn of the third day till she noticed it. A small silver key had been slid under the bottom of her door. She scurried over and looked at it closely. It looked as if it... No... No way this could be happening... She slid the key into the lock, and pop. Her door was open. Overcome with joy, she burst out of the room... To an empty house. The furniture was all gone. The vases, the tables, beds, everything. All that remained from the previous life was a small cracked picture frame containing an image of Maxus when he was little. It took her only seconds to figure it out. They had left. Gone. Moved away. And they had left her, almost to die. Left. Abandoned by her own family. It stung. It hurt. But she refused to break down. Instead, she gathered what supplies she could fit into a bag, pulled herself together, and walked out the door, making sure to grab her prized bow and arrows on the way out. Since then, Scarlett has been constantly on the move. She only stopped to learn very basic magic skills from professors here and there, and took off before anything else could happen. With her trusty bow hooked on her back, she felt invincible. The idea of joining Sapphire Eclipse came to her a few weeks ago. She had no clue what she was doing with her life, and wanted a purpose. Joining a guild gave her that purpose. So, here she is, trying to work her way up to the top. *started from da bottom now we here* Other: Character Build Chosen: Hunter Character Build Weakness: Defense
