It' s a right analog pad. For some reason Nintendo is the last developer in the whole world to figure out (or rather to be told by an angry third party developers mob) that a second analog pad is vital for 3D games. For the latest brilliant example of how much not being able to move the character and the camera at the same time sucks see the FF Type 0 free demo.

Rumor (and logic) says they will, this bulky piece of junk is for those who already bought a 3DS.

The source who first leaked this info a while back said it would cost around 10$.
The other rumor about a two built-in sticks 3DS being released later seems quite believable now.

There WAS a time-travel plot in the first VP, although that part of the plot was optional (best ending related).

What do you mean ? That B retconned as much as A ? Or that B cares as much as A ?

I do not care one bit about XIII-2 possibly retconning XIII, as soon as I saw that the Paradigm **** was back I didn' t care for that game as a whole anymore. As far as I' m concerned they can put what the hell they want in it, the stupider it is the merrier.
Some rap music ? Serah turned into an über-skilled sword and bow wielding warrior overnight ? A Pokemon summon system ? A time-line changing and possibly retconning plot ? Sure, whatever man, be my guest. *shrugs*

Well, I did enjoy Lost, even its time travel plot (which was the fate kind, whatever happened happened, also the Desmond Hume character was personified determinism), but then the writers were smart enough to deride time-travel plots themselves. ^^

That would be Word of God B (Aonuma), clearly God A (Miyamoto, who retconned himself more than once about the Zelda time-line) gives as much **** about the Zelda time-line than as about the Mario time-line.

They say it will be more story-driven than DQ IX (which relied heavily on silly sub-quests). If there isn' t any fee for playing solo I may get it on the Wii, this game isn' t nearly enough to make me want a Wii U.

Yep, he' s that awesome. Also, I enjoyed the Planet of the Apes novel (La planète des singes) much more than any Planet of the Apes movie.

In FFVII the characters could just ignore the huge meteor hours away from crashing on Midgard and play video games at the Golden Saucer instead. Same deal in FFX. Say what ? Hurry up and defeat Sin before it regenerates itself ? Screw this, Imma gonna ride chocobos.
It didn' t bother anyone because FF are video GAMES, they happen to tell a story but are bound to gameplay mechanics nonetheless. When SE says that FFXIII is purposefully linear to focus on its story I scream bullshit, its piss-poor game design has absolutely NO influence over the story quality or believability, it doesn' t enhance it in any shape or form. Actually, there just isn' t any valid excuse for poor game design, and FFXIII is as bound to gameplay mechanics as any other FF.

The L' Cies are running from the world ? Explain to me then why the hell Vanille and Sazh decided to go to Nautilus (a crowded and high profile town loaded with security cameras) the day of the national party (which is like Cocoon' s July 4), without even changing their damn clothes (which any Cocoon citizen saw them wearing on TV) ? If I was them I would have brought a freaking huge neon "L' Cie" sign, just to be on the safe side.

I agree that if the game gets too large it prevents some people to enjoy the story, FFXII story is just as complex as FFXIII story and yet lots of casual players complained that it was too complex.

There' s a big fracture happening nowadays in video games, some people expect games to be genuine games, filled with real challenges and requiring heavy involvement from the player, while some people just want an interactive experience, borderline passive, just pure entertainment, any hardship, complex puzzle or punishing aspect would just just spoil their fun and they can' t be bothered to not win.

FF was one of those license that happened to appeal to both types of players, but since FFX they slowly slided on the casual side. FFXIII forgot to be a game, it is reduced to an interactive story were players can' t loose, can' t get lost and just switch between pre-set AIs while watching the game playing itself in-between cutscene orgies.
Unfortunately FF is far from being the only license that gets screwed as a consequence of trying to please both types of gamers (and failing to). The sooner some clear distinction between genuine games and interactive experiences happens the better.

Also, the end-of-the-world-monster in FF XIII was called Ragnarok, and Lightning' s armor makes her look like Leneth Valkyrie (but not like an actual Valkyrie).

Am I the only one who actually bothered to read the page linked in the first post ?

Martin claims her daughter refused to hand over her account password after the teen posted the word "xxx" on her page (see the actual word for yourself on the linked page), and that's when the two began fighting over the computer.

Apparently the nice chat didn' t cut it. It happens sometimes.

I suppose they could make a law so that every alcohols have something scribbled on the bottle (like those silly obvious warnings printed on cigarette boxes). "Getting wasted can lead to piss poor decision making, to say the least"

If someone drank so much that he can' t even remember if he agreed to sex or not then too bad for him (or her), maybe he should have thought of that before drinking that much. If he did say no then it' s a rape and should be treated as such. As to how to determine who lies or not ... well, that' s not my job, but if there isn' t any solid proof on either side personally I' d let it slide.

Nope, it took me something like 40 hours to finish it, 50 hours to get 100%. I did' t bother to bear with the ridiculously low drop rate to get the last useless trophy but I doubt it would require 50 hours.
They say this one will be shorter to finish, 30 hours I suppose, but it will have multiple endings and more side-quests (think FFX-2).
