" Um yeah I did." Lilly said.
" Oh um sure.... but come in." She said stepping to the side so he could come in.
Lilly ran down the stairs, " I got it!!" She shouted and opened the door. " Oh Seth.... what are you doing here?" She asked.
Lilly walked down the hall to Laura's room. " Hey Laura. Laura?" She asked, there was no reply. She ran down the stairs and into the living room. " Mom where's Laura?" She asked. " She's at a friends house, spending the night. Why are you so worked up, you usually don't care if she's gagging on the kitchen floor." Her mom said joking around with her. " Oh I was just wondering." Lilly said. But she knew that she was over-reacting and she didn't know why. " Um I'll be in my room." She said and walked up to her room.
" Oh sorry." Lilly said feeling bad and walked away.
" Sorry to distrub you I just wanted to know how you were doing." She said.
" I'm going to go see if he's all settled in." Lilly said and walked upstairs. Her mom chuckled and went into the kitchen. Lilly knocked on the door, " Matt?" She asked.
" Lilly why are you doing all this?" Her mom asked her once Matt was upstairs. " Well mom I feel bad for him. I know what it's like to be put up for adoption." Lilly said. " Ohhh honey, I know." She said. OOC: sooooooo sorry for taking so long to post I'm watching austin powers, my bro wanted me to see it. It's funny but kinda stupid, actually really stupid.
OOC: it's fine BIC: " It's no bother at all....... the phone is right through there." Her mom said pointing to the kitchen.
" Well his parents died and he's going to be sent to an adoption home if he doesn't find a place to stay." Lilly said. Her mother instantly understood. " Uhh yeah... I guess it's ok. He can stay in the guest room." She said. A smiled apeared on her face. " Thank you mom! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!" she said hugging her mom.
" Lilly you know you're grounded. That means no friends." Her mom said. " I know but I was wondering if he could stay here for a little while." Lilly said. " Why?" Her mom asked. " Ummmmmm........." Lilly looked at Matt. She didn't know what to say, she didn't want to talk about his parents in front ot him.
" Thanks." She said walking up to the door. Before she walked in she took a deep breath. " Here it goes." She said and opened the door. " Mom I'm home!!" She said. Her mom came out of the kitchen. " Oh good Lilly I need you to........ who's this?" She asked staring at Matt. " Um mom this is Matt. He's a friend from school." She said. Her mom looked back and forth between them.
" Yeah that's it right there." She said pointing to a small white house with flowers in the front yard.
" Yeah I have a younger sister, Laura." Lilly said.
" It's nothing much. It's boring, that's for sure." She said.
" Oh well that's ok." Lilly said and was silent after that.
Lilly walked off the bus and started heading to her house. " Why so quiet?" She asked.
Lilly stood up and started walking off. She looked back to make sure Matt was coming.
Lilly stared out the window thinking of what she was going to say to her parents.
Lilly walked onto the bus and sat down.
