You! You! Him! Her! O_O...THEM!
Hiiiiiiim!
James clamped his ears. Everything everyone was saying was making his head spin, swimming even. He couldn't get the voices out of his head. He fell to his knees, hard. He screamed, at the top of his lungs. "STOP IT!"
James gripped his sword, and looked down, shutting his eyes tight. "This just doesn't make any sense....you say we're dead......why don't I remember it? For that matter....why don't I remember anything?!" He stabbed his sword into the ground, the runes glowing bright red, the light getting brighter. "WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?!"
So, it's all, basically been the same for 40 years?
What exactly has changed, in all that time? I mean, I heard they removed Cookie Monster, saying something like he's making fun of people with addiction problems, and junk...oh, and saying Bert and Ernie are gay, or somethin' or other.
James coughed hard, struggling to get up. The runes on his sword started to fade, turning back to white, then not glowing at all. Finally, he managed to get up on his feet. He clutched his shoulder; apparently he hurt it when the demon sent him flying backwards. He looked at the one who called it off. None of this was making sense. "What is going on here, exactly?" he muttered, "If this is supposed to be the 'path to Heaven', how come there aren't more of us?"
Since I don't have MSN: No.
OOC: Well, the idea originally was, if there wasn't any 'security', there would be an encouragement to cheat/break the rules/mess things up for the other players, you know, keep it interesting. Thing is, though, nobody would do it. XP
It did. Everyone's taking off their masks, now.
James dodged the demons claws as he held it's head back, it's teeth snapping and thrashing to get him. This wasn't at all like the cartoons or manga, back when he was alive. Alive? Wait, when did he die? The runes on his sword started to glow again, this time, bright yellow. The demon seemed to delight in that glow, the more James showed fear of the creature.
James tried to keep his eyes on everything, trying to make sure nothing snuck up on him. He didn't anticipate the speed of the demons, though: One directly in front of him charged at him, throwing him back a bit and pinned him to the ground. James held his blade with both hands, keeping it in the demon's mouth, doing all he could to keep the demon from hacking him to pieces...and whatever else the beast had in store for him. If this was what the road to heaven was going to be like, he wasn't off to a very good start.
Be right back; need to go take a shower.
Several of the demons started to come from the trees. James watched as many of them as he could, but there were far too large of a number. He started to back up, towards the others. It was odd, though: As large of a number as they had, they didn't start attacking. They only moved slowly towards them. James' sword started to glow brighter. "Semper fi," he said again. He kept thinking those words, over and over.
I know somebody who tried that once...got two tickets as a result: One for speeding, the other because the doughnuts had sprinkles. :(
Skillet, Rascal Flatts, There for Tomorrow, Crush 40, and AIK.
At the moment, I really don't care; I just want to put Sora back into action again. Too many people keep taking his place.
OOC: Yeah, we're all having that problem. I'll try and think of something different, next time, where that won't matter. Sorry about that, guys.
James listened to Alianne as she said that. He drew his sword, glowing bright white, and assumed a stance. He's not sure why he said the next couple of words as he saw a couple of the demons starting to come into view: "Semper fi," he muttered.
James tried harder to stand up right, making just a little bit more progress. He finally noticed his sword glowing, but now starting to dim. He looked up, and saw more and more red eyes starting to appear from behind the trees just ten feet away from him. He turned around to see everyone else. "Guys," he said, "we've got some sort of company..."
