The last time I used 3DS Max was more than 10 years ago, so my knowledge is fuzzy and quite possibly outdated, but here' s my two cents anyway :

    - You can only import vectorial images (i.e. images that are defined by mathematical coordinates, like 3D objects, they don' t have any resolution).

    - If you want to use bitmap images (.jpg, .gif, .bmp etc ... images that do have a resolution) you can only do so by using the image as a texture. Go to the texture editor and there should be a way somewhere to open an image file and use it as a texture. Then you just have to create a 3D object, a plane for instance, and apply the texture to it.

    - Apparently in recent 3DS Max versions you can just create a plane and then drag and drop a .bmp file on it :

I found Joss Whedon' s reaction to the Buffy reboot announce, it' s a mail he sent to Kristin Dos Santos (E!Online) after he found out there was nothing he could do legally to prevent it :

The project seemed to be stucked in limbo for a while, but I just stumbled upon this :

Track and Field, the day Konami invented controller fapping.
Castlevania 64, the day Konami tried to make a 3D Castlevania while barely grasping the most basic tenants of 3D gameplay.
    ...
And a bunch of other games whose names are long forgotten to me.

Do you mean that I butchered the Italian pronunciation when I wrote it, or that pronouncing it in Italian rather than English is butchering ?
There' s no way to properly convey the Italian pronunciation to an English-speaking reader.
Here' s a better way to convey it : just click the sound icon on the Italian side of this page. http://translate.google.com/#en|it|sforzato

Nope, I tried to associate a sound to it and failed miserably, so I just don' t pronounce it.
When I see one of your posts I just figure you' re ... oh right, him.
Let' s not even talk about libregkd. ^^

It' s Italian so I pronounce it as Italians would, as it should (something like Sforrrdzato).

    Or in Italian.
It also means strong in French, but the "e" at the end means it' s describing something/someone female.

What' s the point of doing a remake if they want to change things ? They might as well call it FFWHATEVER and make a brand new game instead. A few tweaking ? Sure. Added things (new materias, bosses, summons, or even an added sequel as in the FFIV remake to close the genesis chapter) ? Hell be my guest ! But changing the story or the gameplay ? GTFO !

I don' t see why that scene would be problematic, nor even the Barett-Cloud date scene. The scene that would truly be disturbing in HD would be the one where Clouds takes a bath with the whole gay pride gym club and ends up butt-hurt.

I forgot to mention that the franchise will be rebooted in theaters. None of the original actors are involved and Joss Whedon has nothing to do with it, so, do not want.

Big fan. Be sure to watch Angel too, the first season ain' t that great but it gets better. There' s also a few interactions between the two series (Angel season 1 happens at the same time as Buffy season 4 etc ...)
Supernatural reminds me more of X-Files than Buffy but whatever.

Looks like I wasn' t clear enough.
I' m not complaining about them trying new things, there' s nothing wrong there, I' m basically complaining about them fixing or throwing stuff that weren' t broken. I also think they' re often wrongly praised for innovation (oh hey, look at that, you can vaguely aim a sensor bar that keeps loosing track of your position, let' s just forget that the 1985 Nes Zapper allowed us to aim directly what we wanted to shoot without any bug).

But hey, they' re successful anyway, good for them.

First off, a rumor that quickly surfaced after the game's unveiling: Rising is a proper sequel in the Metal Gear Solid saga. This, according to the Kojipro official Twitter, is not the case. "We've only said that the period setting is several years after MGS4. Metal Gear Rising is not part of the Metal Gear Solid series. At present, we can't say more than this."

What, swing an inaccurate remote around for every tiniest basic move conceivable, praying that the console won' t loose track of the remote position ? Sure, I can do that, doesn' t mean it' s funnier, nor more intuitive, nor more accurate than using a classic controller.

I' m not complaining that Nintendo try to think of alternative input methods, if some people think it' s funnier to aim physically rather than using a pad then good for them. If some people think it' s fun to move Link using a touch pad good for them too.
If Nintendo actually manage to think of game-mechanics that couldn' t be done with a classic pad, which is rare, then hurray.

The problem is that in the end, from what I' ve seen, only 25% of the gameplay at best couldn' t be implemented with a classic controller, yet they deliberately chose to ignore that fact and give the middle finger to people who' d prefer it. It' s as dumb as, say, not letting players chose a difficulty, skip dialogs nor deactivate Navi/Fi. It' s a good thing to keep children in mind, but treating everyone as a child is just ******ed.

I bought a classic controller to play Muramasa, and it' s been collecting dust ever since. Even Metroid Prime 1 and 2 from the Trilogy cannot be played with it, makes me wonder why they even sell those things.

It' s not, it' s just a definitive confirmation of my nagging suspicions.
They' ve forced their latest gadget input method whims on players for 10 years, I foolishly entertained the tiniest hope that they would realize how dumb it is someday, what with them claiming that they' re trying to reconquer hardcore gamers and all ... Guess not.
