Does this post serve any purpose other than bashing Beyond?
You must be really fun at parties.
Can you blame him? She is pretty good looking.[DOUBLEPOST=1385521113][/DOUBLEPOST] Maybe they'll start saying video games are ART. PFFFT
It is if, like Lightning, they're only there to provide a source of angst and eye candy. If they're actual characters, I do have problems with it. I would hate it if official Persona 4 material dehumanized Chie and Yukiko like Toriyama is doing with Lightning. Lightning is such a bland character in my eyes that I have no problem with treating her like an object. I feel the same about some real humans, particularly politicians, certain celebrities, and almost everyone I knew in high school. The way I see it, the actors and actresses are real and thus have a right to decide whether or not characters in their likenesses are overly sexualized. Just look at that crap with the nude model of Ellen Page in Beyond: Two Souls. She didn't sue, but she definitely could have won if she had because of that "no nudity" clause in all of her contracts. I seriously doubt that Maaya Sakamoto and Ali Hillis would still be voicing Lightning if they had a problem with what Toriyama was doing with her. Maybe I'm misreading you here, but are you really trying to argue against my point with the concept that my entire point is based on? To clarify, my point is that there is no problem with dehumanizing characters that don't even have enough depth to seem human anyway. And yet nobody has any problem with men in media being treated this way. Why is it a problem when women are objectified, but not men? I agree with the sentiment, but they way you worded it is just as sexist as I'm sure it looks like I'm being right now. Are you really pulling a slippery slope argument? You're smarter than that. Need I go on? To be fair, who are we to say that our lives have any more meaning than any of the inanimate objects surrounding us? The only thing that affects any of the decisions we make is the state of the universe 16 billion years ago right before the big bang.
A broken image? AWESOME! I love broken images!
See, I didn't see him as that. In the cases where he acts all political and preachy, I see him as a parody of that particular kind of character. In the show he's preachy, political, and sometimes kind of a jackass about it, but it's taken so far that it becomes laughable.
She's just a few thousand lines of code, a 3D model, and a voice actor. I'd agree with you if she were more of a character, but come on. Her entire purpose is, without exaggeration, to be a source of angst and eye candy*. At least we don't have characters like Fang getting ****ty Halloween costume versions of themselves. *Note to self: Make a tumblr called Angst and Eye Candy, sell it to same kid in an emo phase for a lot of money.
I'd say it's very probable, though the fact that the new dog's voice actor was listed as a guest star makes me think that, at the very least, Vinnie's not going to stay. There's also this. Maybe we'll be seeing a spin-off or something.
Leave it Below to hate the only thing that makes something worth watching.
I just watched the episode. Basically, Stewie gave some Native Americans in Jamestown guns and it all turned to **** so he and Brian go to take the guns back, then Stewie decides to destroy his time machine to prevent stuff like that from happening again. Some bad writing involving street hockey happens and Brian gets hit by a car. Brian dies in a hospital. Lots of crying. Stewie decides to rebuild his time machine, but the only guy who could make a crucial part for it got arrested. Everyone in Quahog attends the funeral because apparently Brian was that important to everyone. Adam West complains that nobody went to his funeral. Stewie is clearly taking it the hardest. The Griffins get another dog, Stewie tries to kill him by inducing cardiac arrest, then bad writing happens and now they're friends. Overall, I give this episode a 2/10. The shift to focus on Stewie and Brian in the last few seasons was what turned the show from utter crap to something that I could actually enjoy and now they've ruined it by killing off one of the two good characters on the show. It's probably just the anger talking, but I wish McFarlane hadn't been so hungover that he missed his plane all those years ago.
Yeah, but I don't think that counts because there's only like three episodes.
Or maybe I just had such a shitty childhood that Ash letting Butterfree go didn't seem so bad.
Wait, that's already out? I thought it was due for January 2014.
Maybe the publisher shouldn't have made them release a buggy piece of shit.
Remember that thread I posted a while back where we all pretended like it's the future and we were having a big reunion but Amaury was mean and didn't play along? I'd kind of like to make a full fledged RP for that. If I do that, who would be interested in joining?
You make a good point. Why do I have you blocked again? You're much too smart for me to have blocked you. I'll have to rectify that.
Have you even seen how sexy ten year olds have gotten in the past few years? Most of them look at least like the 13 year olds I knew when I was ten.
No, that's just in BW. Black and White 2 go back to the younger protagonists.
