I' m all for a much bigger world, SS felt a little too short for a Zelda. And please, no more sky/sea/train hub, I get that they' re trying to refresh the formula but exploring a vast and coherent world on foot never gets old.

As for it being innovative I' m cautiously skeptic :
    - New gameplay mechanics : Ok, that' s innovative.
    - New input methods : Dude, you just wasted your time reinventing the wheel. Sure, now I can point at the screen to aim, it' s still ****ing aiming though.

By those standards I didn' t find SS nearly as innovative as Nintendo said it was. I must admit the Wii-mote controls weren' t as horrible as I expected them to be, but I still wish we could play it with the classic pad. At least the WiiU pad looks like a pad, if they manage to use its gadgets wisely, meaning only when they are actually more convenient than the classic pad rather than all the time for the sake of it (which SS, PT and ST failed to do) then color me enthused.

Metroid Other M is a good example to illustrate this, it was mostly played with classic controls and it switched to Wii-mote controls only when it made sense.

Wait what ? Isn' t that what you were asking ? I take it the five would mean the story finally goes to new places instead of just filling the blanks, it could even take place after 4. In case I wasn' t clear the game focused on The Boss would be a separate game, not MGS5, at least that' s how I took what he said.

^ If it makes you feel better Kojima said that, in a way, Ground Zeroes is merely a prologue to MGS5. He also said he' d like to make a canon game focused on The Boss. Here' s the whole interview :

I suspect it is a re-imagining of Metal Gear, that' s what the ending of Peace Walker was hinting at (the last thing we hear after the PW credits is Big Boss saying "This is Outer Heaven", and that plural zeroes is a nod to another PW dialog line). I haven' t played the MSX MG, but from what I read about it its plot doesn' t really match with the MGS saga plot, which is probably what they' re trying to address here.

The character on this picture is Big Boss (he' s got the MSF logo on his shoulder), and the "From Fox two phantoms were born" line is a big giveaway that the plot will revolve around les enfants terribles (they were briefly mentioned in a PW post ending file).

^ They picked his name from that movie, but he' s actually modeled after Kyle Reese (The Terminator).

Not sure why you included Spiderman 2 as a **** movie, but I love the way you wrote Elektra. ^^
You' d be hard pressed to find a producer who doesn' t put his cocained nose where it doesn' t belong, so I' m not sure whoever produces the thing truly matters, I' m more anxious to find out who' s the director.

I read all three. I started to read Naruto and One Piece as soon as they were released in my country. I didn' t know what to expect at all, it was a completely random choice. I was a student back then and I was looking for a few shonens to get into cause all the ones I was reading before were done (I also picked Shaman King, Hunter X Hunter and later Death Note).

A few years later I "converted" a friend of mine to Naruto, One Piece and Death Note and he "converted" me to Bleach, by that time the huge three had emerged and I knew Bleach was one of them.

In the past few years my interest has waned though, I only read them online once a year. One Piece is the only one that sill feels at least as good as day one to me.

BTW, reading this thread sparked my yearly manga reading, I' ve only catch up to Naruto for now and ... is it just me or was the latest chapter reveal a load of bollocks ? With my distant readings I tend to forget half the plot and characters, but this latest reveal seems to imply a lot of inconsistencies, for instance :

Didn' t Obito "die" before the fourth became Hokage ? Admitting that he didn' t die, wasn' t Obito supposed to be a prepubescent teenager at best at the time an adult Tobi created the Akatsuki ? I couldn' t be arsed to re-read the whole thing just to refresh my memory.

Implying it' s either her or your father, buying stuff to smother your complaints ... looks like she loves blackmailing. Maybe you should try to put your money where your mouth is ? Don' t keep barking if she obviously couldn' t care less, act, go take a walk as soon as she doesn' t watch the door and switch your phone off or something. You have to make her understand that you' re her kid, not her doll, and that if she won' t give you freedom you' ll just take it.

Ever watched The Truman Show ?

I only equipped potions or elixirs and chose the close combat approach.

As soon as the start fights run towards him and start a 3 hits combo, it usually connects.
Most of the time when you manage to connect a combo VR teleports in your back mid-combo, but don' t stop hitting X : he' ll hit you (with second chance you should survive it), but if you strike him immediately after that it will often phase him, allowing you to strike him once more and to use a potion before he comes to his senses. Finally, the Heal Strike finish command did wonders for me, three well placed Heal Strike should be enough to dispose of VR.

Basically keep hitting and healing. It' s not exact science, you' ll probably need several tries to get the hang of it, but that' s how I beat him in less than an hour with all three characters.

I wasn' t bitching about it as much as trying to explain why some would feel justified to do so. I knew exactly what I was signing for. I mean come on, the original game was just an obscure phone app, of course it was anecdotal, we would have heard a lot more bitching if it wasn' t.

    Besides :

Coded seems to fit that definition, but hey, if you' d rather simply describe as a sequel then it' s cool, whatever. I' m not sure you were being literal, but the issue seems far too trivial to get pissed about.

Tee dus I guess ? I don' t know how to spell the dus part to convey my pronounciation. Point is I pronounce it like any French person does. Does anyone know if Tidus means something in Latin ? In French most words with an "us" suffix have Latin roots.

I suspect the point is to "hang out with grown ups" rather than have beers. I assume she' s single, correct ?
I' m often tight on money myself, even in dire situations I end up spending money in futile things, because as futile as they may be they' re the one thing that will brighten my day and help me forget all the other privations for a little while. I don' t know all the details, but if she' s a single mum raising her kid(s) on her own with the lousy pay she gets from a dull job then it' s completely understandable that she would look for a way to release steam. You should speak to her and try not to make it sound like a confrontation, just to see if I' m on the right track.

    Atheism

I was merely stating how it looks like from where I' m from (I went to catechism for years btw), anyone' s free to jump in and explain which pros I missed. Besides, tbh I was thinking more about faith in general than religion per say.

I know not everyone is the same, I' m talking to you but you keep dancing all around. That' s ok though, I think you just don' t want to half-ass it or bother writing pages and pages . Plus, Spam Zone and all, I think I' ll shut up soon.

That' s not faith, that' s trust. If you get suspicious you' re free to re-do the experiments yourself or to hunt fallacies. I don' t have faith in what I' m told. Either I found something that was evidence enough for me or I didn' t. If I do give my trust without sufficient evidence for me then that would be me betting because circumstances forced me to, I wouldn' t turn that trust into a belief. Skeptic here. Not everyone has the same standard for evidence though, I get that.

Yeah, I noticed that sometimes people' s actions don' t match their professed belief, or that their what they call a belief doesn' t actually qualify as a belief, it' s more of a hunch.

I talked about hope because that' s the only good thing faith could bring I saw you mention.

It doesn' t, not to me, it' s what I just said. I only mind the consequences your faith might have on your actions and decisions.
If your faith doesn' t color your actions in a way that affects me negatively in any way then good for you, keep it up.

Wait, this is getting confusing. Maybe we should have agreed on a definition for religion first. If you define religion as the book then sure, it' s just a book.
