It has nothing to do with how skilled the programmers have become, on the X-Box 360 multi CD games were released quite early on (when I said up to 25 Gb per game I really meant up to 25 Gb per disc).

Nintendo is already warning everyone that buying an external hard drive is pretty much unavoidable, whichever model you picked :

It leaves you with either 3 Gb (cheap model) or 25 Gb (deluxe model).
New Super Mario Bross U only needs 2 Gb, but Wii U games in general take up to 25 Gb.

Yeah, it' s also one of my all time favorites.I own a backward compatible Wii and two Gamecubes lol.
I wish they had an HDMI connexion, I' d gladly pay a pretty penny for that. Couldn' t care less about the Wii U for now.

    I believe it also inspired the Xenosaga ? I only played Xenogears. I' d gladly emulate them but my PC isn' t powerful enough. ;~;

Everyday Tv shows are badmouthed, bullied, beaten, left on the side of the road to starve, outright killed even. If they could speak, they would tell you how sad they are, how glad they were to have a family. The question is not "can they reason ?" nor "can they talk ?", but rather "can they suffer ?"

    ...

Oh wait, they can' t !

On a more serious note, challenging others' opinions is our only way to better ourselves, whether it be as an individual or as a society. I wish people could stop being all butt-hurt over opinions, at least when it comes to something as subjective and utterly trivial as entertainment. Hypertrophied ego much ?

They' ve been brainwashed into thinking homosexuals are trying to "recruit" their kids. I' ve never seen any proof of that, surprisingly, but they claim they do have some. I' m not sure Ugandans care about proof anyway, this is what you get when people have been encouraged to take things on faith and barely educated about logic. They' ll believe any claim, no mater how moronic, as long as it comes out of a priest' s mouth.

They actually got some support in the US, mind you.

Reminds me of that time my parents allowed me to make a phone call to "Santa".
The price of the phone call ? 2,75 francs per minute.
That look on my father' s face when I asked for a magic wand ? That was priceless.

Oh, and I forgot to mention, if (or rather when I guess) that law is passed then not denouncing a homosexual = 3 years jail time.

What I read is that Catholic associations asked her to pass that law, "as a Christmas gift", which she accepted to do.

Whenever you guys talk about school I feel like I' m reading Chinese. You seem to have more opportunities to custom design your courses than I had, but that' s all I can tell. When I was 16 I had to chose between L (literary), ES (Economics and Social) and S (Science). I picked science. Here' s a few things I learned when I was 17 :

    - Biology : evolution, immune system, geology, plate tectonics, genetics.
    - Maths : imaginary numbers, primitive functions, differential equations.

What did you guys learn when you were 17, assuming you picked a scientific orientation ? I' m asking because I watched this recently and I wonder how accurate it is :

I also saw a video of a religious teacher reluctantly "teaching" evolution, or at least what apparently passes for evolution in his mind. It almost made me pray for it to just be a bad joke (no really, I mean it, that video weirded the **** out of me).

I never play online, I never even tried, but I suppose the comments made there are just as witty as you-tube comments (meaning it' s a cesspool). It shouldn' t come as a surprise, given the amount of kids/teens that play video games and the cathartic and competitive nature of that activity.

I assume it would be very hard to police, if not impossible, but I' m not sure we should anyway. Sure, I' m rather witty and I don' t keep my tongue in my pocket so that' s easy for me to say, but most of all I think it' s my perspective on that kind of behavior that allows me to dismiss it so easily : as far as I' m concerned someone who' s insulting everyone and everything is just making a fool of himself big time. In public. He might as well draw pictures on him with his own doodoo, it' s almost comical to watch.

At the end of the day I' d pick prevention over prohibition in a heart beat.
I' m afraid freedom of speech comes with freedom to insult, we can' t police speech without amputating ourselves in the same move.

I can' t make you want to feel better. No one can, and I' m afraid you won' t feel any better until you actually want to.
You didn' t chose your pain, but reveling in it is very much your decision. Freedom of choice, as long as you don' t physically harm anyone but yourself whatever choice you make is none of my business, especially when you seem to have a good grasp on your situation.

I' ll just shut up now. Good luck though.

In a Buffy episode (S03E18) Buffy' s struck with a spell that allows her to hear everyone' s thoughts. She randomly catches the thoughts of a student about to suicide, here' s what she tells him :

[Buffy finds Jonathan in the clock tower with a rifle.]
    Jonathan: Go away!
    Buffy: Never gonna happen.
Jonathan: You think I won't use this?
    Buffy: I don't know, Jonathan. I just –
    Jonathan: Stop doing that!
    Buffy: Doing what?
Jonathan: Stop saying my name like we're friends! We're not friends! You all think I'm an idiot! A short idiot!
Buffy: I don't. I don't think about you much at all. Nobody here really does. Bugs you, doesn't it? You have all this pain and all these feelings, and nobody's really paying attention?
Jonathan: You think I just want attention?
Buffy: No. I think you're up in the clock tower with a high-powered rifle because you wanna blend in. Believe it or not, Jonathan, I understand about the pain.
Jonathan [bitterly]: Oh, right! Because the burden of being beautiful and athletic, that's a crippler!
Buffy: You know what? I was wrong. You are an idiot. My life happens to, on occasion, suck beyond the telling of it. Sometimes more than I can handle. And it's not just mine. Every single person down there is ignoring your pain because they're too busy with their own. The beautiful ones. The popular ones. The guys that pick on you. Everyone. If you could hear what they were feeling. The loneliness. The confusion. It looks quiet down there. It's not. It's deafening... You know, I could've taken that by now.
    Jonathan: I know.
Buffy: [holds out hand] I'd rather do it this way. [gently takes the rifle from Jonathan as he hands it to her]
