Our previous president talked about "moralizing capitalism" for a while, which seems to be the broader topic you' re trying to reach. Sounds like an utopia if you ask me, considering no one has the power to pass nor enforce laws on a global scale. If memory serves you said yourself in another thread that competition is unavoidable in societies.

I' m afraid all we can do is wait for capitalism to reach its unavoidable conclusion and crumble, any law we might locally pass in the meantime would only delay this for a while. Trying to think differently and base our economy on our needs and available resources rather than our impulses would only ostracize us from those who couldn' t care less. Just look how popular a topic ecology is in, say, China.

Moralizing capitalism ? Lol, we might as well be talking about burning water. But then I' m no economics expert. Far, far from it. I' m not claiming there' s no answer, I just never saw one that looked realistic to me.

Wait ... are you Belgian ?

I don' t really see what' s the problem : although I rarely see that kind of message printed in newspapers I suppose it' s not exactly the first one ever mailed. Freedom of speech + competition driven societies = this. You' d have to be blind not to see Belgium is in a tight spot right now, and Switzerland' s thirst for money is notoriously unquenchable.

Anyway, as you already mentioned, if Belgian companies were desperate enough to consider downsizing I' m not sure Switzerland would be their safest bet.

I was interested at first, back when Darren Aronofsky (Requiem for a dream, Black Swan) was supposed to direct it. Now I' m just whatever, wait and see. Though I' d rather have a Wolverine sequel than his 100th needless origin story *cough* Superman *cough*, especially so shortly after his previous installment *cough* Spiderman *cough*.

    - Girls get all wet as soon as he pops up, they' re glad he skipped the ridiculous spandex.
    - He' s badass and funny, so boys don' t ***** about his lack of ridiculous spandex either.
    - Claws and regeneration don' t exactly involve crazy-ass CG, his powers are amongst the easiest to sell.

Tony Stark works well for the same reasons, although his powers are a tad more difficult to convey. Even if they filmed those two just washing dishes for two hours people would still pay to see it.

Probably because Disney doesn' t share the same type of contract with SE as they do with Pixar, a lot of KH copyrights are Square properties.
Organizing a temporary promotional event is one thing, both sides turn a profit out of it, but making something more permanent wouldn' t be very interesting for Disney since they already have a lot of material to choose from that is entirely theirs. Not to mention KH is nowhere near as popular as Star Wars or Indiana Jones. I' m afraid Disney only sees KH as a side marketing tool, catering to gamers every now and then.

Apparently the owner of Dysneyland Paris had a very hard time making a Jules Vernes inspired Space Mountain, the Americans weren' t too keen on letting him create something that isn' t 100% Disney and, gasp, not American ! Kill it with fire !

I think he' s got a point. If you' re just looking for something that tingles you the right way, emotionally or aesthetically, then although it does qualifies as art, in a way, it also qualifies as porn.
