Oh I understood what psa was an acronym of, I just didn' t know what a public service anouncment was exactly. No matter, I googled it. Is that why they' re both 30 seconds long ? I assume you' re given a length window or limit, that would explain why you keep it superficial. It doesn' t leave much room to elaborate on anything.

I realize that' s not what you meant, but that' s what your wording implied. As for the reason it could be perceived as something you made to feel good about yourself the vid I posted elaborates on that. Personnalymy guess is that you' re well intentioned but just not very good at wording things or arguing in general.

My point is that I don' t get your video' s point. I don' t know what a psa is, some sort of ad ? It' s all well and good to say that we should accept gays, but unless you elaborate a little aren' t you just preaching to the choir ?

Granted, accepting gays is not a position you should be expected to defend, logicaly it' s the default position, so what I' d do instead if I was to make such a vid is I' d list a few fallacies commonly used to excuse gay bashing and wipe the floor red with them. Hell, some bullies have the nerve to claim they' re the ones whose beliefs are being opressed, and the worst part is that they may be dumb enough to actualy believe it.

To be fair you did say that bullying led some gays to suicide, but sadly there' s a lot of bullies that information wouldn' t phaze at all. For instance those who believe that homosexuality is a sin tend to also believe that suicide is a sin, if you see where I' m going with this.

A lot of bullies don' t even realize they' re bullies, everyone think they' re justified. Their bullying atitudes are just a symptom, I' d rather go for the illness, which is the fallacies they' ve been spoon-fed. It' s a claim by claim process, and they don' t necessarily care whether their beliefs are logicaly justifiable or not. Not to mention chances are they' re not exactly the brightest bulb in the box, which is why it' s such a long and difficult battle.

You never anwered me but I think I know why you liked Funny Games now, the movie that spits on horror movies afficionados. Horror isn' t exactly the only genre that got ruined by the hollywood treatment you know ? I mean read some Asimov, then watch I Robot and cry.

Although I did enjoy a few of those formulaic slashers when I was young now I mostly enjoy those that mock them (in a funny way, unlike Funny Games, like Scream or Cabin in the Woods). Still, it' s not like Grave Encounters or Final Destination are worse than X-Men 3 ... >_>

Thankfully not all horror movies are that uninspired, like those Tummer mentioned for instance, although Hollywood keeps doing its best to exploit anything fresh that pops up ad nauseam. "Hey guys, Scream pretty much killed the hypocritic christian agenda formula, what now ? Oh wait, The Blair Witch Project turned out to be a huge cash-in ? Let' s make ten Paranormal Activity movies ! And throw in ten Saw and twenty remakes for good measure."

Your wording is a little clumsy here : sexuality isn' t the only thing people are bullied about, and one might retort to you why don' t you accept bullies for who they are then. Rethoric aside, what "irks" me the most about it is that it mentions a problem, but then it doesn' t address it at all, it looks like you just made it to feel good about yourself (whether it' s true or not that' s what it conveys). I hope the interview you mentioned in the OP offers something more concrete.

Just to be clear I' m not trying to put you down, it' s the opposite, I' m saying if you' re that concerned about it you should try and be closer to an activist than to a priest, I think that' d be much more efficient.

You should just clean your cd and run the game again before you try any of this though. My gamecube has acted all wonky in certain areas of certain games for no apparent reason in the past. Even after cleaning the (apparently unscratched) cds there was, say, a 33% chance for certain rooms to crash the game. Never happened to me with TP though, if memory serves it was with Metroid Prime 1&2 and Resident Evil 0&1. Thankfully TP allows you to save pretty much as often as you wish. Good luck ! ^^

I' m rather quiet when I' m with complete strangers, but much less shy otherwise, though that' s not a golden rule. Strangers or not, if the discussion is about something I' m interested about you won' t shut me up. Overall I' m on the quiet side.

You can "link" them without any cable : finish one of them and you' re given a password to unlock stuff in the other on a new game file. You start with a sword and one more heart, and my memory is a bit foggy (I emulated them 10 years ago) but I think in that case you do get to fight Ganon in the end. You' re then given another password for the game you played first.

Oh I' m not sure they' d mind terribly invading the country given all its natural resources (and fail to seize them XD). North Korea on the other hand ... But yes, I failed to mention it but it' d be better than invasion too.

Well sure, it's stressful, but pain tends to come with psychological anguish too.

I meant it' s better than just making the whole facility go boom. Or than waiting for them to use their nukes, on the off chance they' d be foolish enough to do that.

There is no such thing as an honorable death or an honorable weapon. It' s either painful or it isn' t. Apparently oxygen deprivation makes you feel drunk, until your consciousness fades away. Kinda like falling asleep. I can think of many much more painful ways to bow out and it certainly looks better than a nuclear hollocaust to me.

That being said, I wouldn' t put it past the US to use the MOP in a chilling demonstration, just to establish it as a deterant, whether its target is actually a danger or not. Wouldn' t be the first time. But frankly right now I' m much more concerned about the way they' re handling their drone strikes.

Well if you don' t feel like searching can' t you just cut the crap and create one yourself ? I don' t RP so I don' t really pay attention, but aren' t there crossover RPs here ?

Didn' t mean to sound rude (not a psychic, I can only react to what you actually say), I just wanted to point out the one problem you mentioned is the kind that isn' t exactly crippling and can easily be solved.

So ... of all the things life could possibly throw your ways, getting your ideas for an RP rejected (on a site run by morons) is the one that sends you to the deep end ? Dude, there are literally thousands of forums out there, just find a better one (or stay here, whatever). If I was you I' d troll the **** out of this site you mentioned, you' re burned there anyway so you might as well get a few chuckles out of the situation. Think of it as RP. ^^

Having different cirles and not caring about them all equally (familly first, then friends, then everyone else for instance) is quite natural, everyone social animal does it. It' s a component of the human behavior that many ideological leaders exploit, governments use it to instill patriotism for instance. Divide to conquer is pretty much the oldest political tactic in the book.

What I do is fight bigotry as eloquently as I can, whenever and wherever I spot it. Preferably backing it up with facts and logic, pointing out the fallacies of bigotry, otherwise it just comes of as a yet another brand of preaching. In my country racism is touched upon in this manner in school, when we study genetics for instance. Problem is fighting cognitive dissonance and/or stupidity is hard, you can lead a horse to the water but you can' t make him drink, however I won' t give up and watch it go rampant just because it can' t be weeded out completely.

This boss looks a lot like a Demon Wall (FF IV, FF XII). The FF Wikia mentions their original japanese names with phonetic transcriptions, "DemonzuWöru" and "Demonzu Geito". No idea whether "Demonzu" is singular or plural. I' d say it' s either Demon Gate or Demons Gate, but you should have someone who actually can read Japanese take a look at his Wikia page to be sure.

Well, I used Maya a little (the CG software Square used to make FF8). Reflections, dynamic lighting and particles required an insane amount of computing time, of all the things that software could do those three were amongst (if not the) most power-hungry. But then they named their engine "Luminous", I don' t know how well it can handle particles, but they clearly anounced that it would be focused on lighting algorythms. If they managed to make them not require much computing it should improve graphics immensely, a good lighting works much more wonders than using more polygons.

That was to be expected, yes. FF7' s 3D+CG combo was the biggest graphic slap a video game ever gave me, I mean a year before it I was playing with sprites on the Snes, but ever since the PS1 you just have to look at CGs to know how next gen real-time will look. More or less. Not that Luminous isn' t impressive at all, the improvments are just very predictable now. Compared to the jump from 2D to 3D/CG it' s kinda meh.

    So... lent

The meat was from Romania, I heard some of it landed in France too (Findus). It wasn' t a mistake, they purposefully used horse meat as filler to improve their cut. I guess some people could be horrified by the thought that they ate horse but that' s pretty arbitrary, more importantly the horses they used weren' t necessarily healthy to eat.
