Im still waiting for the 'Pikmin' of the Wii. Not literally of course. I mean that I want a new series that does something other then the usual platforming and action.Im sure something like that will come eventually, but it would be nice to see Nintendo say something about going in a new direction that doesnt involve Mii characters and have the words "Wii" in the title. With the motion plus im hoping they take full advantage and try to make more FPS and action games that repond well.

Gimp is a good alternative for those who lack the funds for Photoshop. And as for where to get started, this site has some very good tutorials and links for resources. Guildinn has some good tuts to launch from. They're even seperated by rank so you can easily know which are beginner, intermediate, etc. And like they said, PlanetRenders is a very good site with a wide array of renders. AnimeRenders also has some quality stuff if you're looking for anime related stuff. If you need any specific help, you can also ask the GFX people here, which are easily indentifiable by all the threads they make with their sigs.

I dont know if you can call it necromancy since none of those games are dead. At least they arent killing it like whats happening to FF and Sonic. And you may not consider them real games, but enough other people do that they're selling a ton of Wii fit, Wii play, etc. Those games are still all over the top sales charts lol.
