Roxas saw the look in Namine's eyes and knew he had to elaborate. "When we went to the Realm of Darkness, he was there...and so were Nathaniel and Xehanort's Heartless," he said, remembering how Riku told him who he was fighting when he asked, since he pointed out how similar he looked to Xemnas. "They were working together to release the Darkness that was threatening to come in contact with the worlds."
Roxas lowered his eyes to his hands as he pressed his lips together, his eyebrows furrowing at the thought of the man. "Smith," he stated clearly, his sight lifting to Namine as he said the name.
Cigarette smoke. xD It's weird I know, but a few friends of mine are the same way. Haha. My sister is the one who likes the smell of gasoline.
"Okay, um..." Roxas lowered his hand and took a seat across from Namine, on the edge of the coffee table; he wasn't worried about it breaking under his weight. "There's a reason I asked how you were feeling, and I'm afraid it ties to who I'm about to talk about." He had his elbows resting on his knees as he gazed at the girl sitting on the couch right in front of him, mentally preparing himself for the story he was about to tell her.
Eh. It's alright. I like the smell of cigarette smoke better though, even if I don't smoke. xD
Roxas lifted his right arm to the back of his head, considering his left shoulder hurt and it would be too painful to do the motion with that arm. "This is...complicated," he said uneasily, really not wanting to talk about this for Namine's sake. He wasn't sure how she would handle it. He definitely wasn't taking it well. Kairi had her gaze on Riku, but when she saw him look toward the doorway, she turned to look in that same direction. He hadn't told her anything, unfortunately.
Aw man. xD Lame.
"Right. See ya," Roxas said, then pulling the phone away from his ear and ending the call. He set Namine's cell back where he found it on the coffee table before turning his gaze to her. She wasn't going to like any of this, and he had to admit that he was scared to tell her. Smith was terrible to her in the past, and even mentioning his name was sure to frighten her. Roxas didn't like this, but he had to do it.
Are you kidding me? I love the smell of coffee!
"Yeah, sounds good." Roxas nodded even if the conversation was over the phone, thinking of it as a bad habit. Another bad habit of his was ignoring his injuries, which were hurting him now that his adrenaline was gone. He didn't have time to tend to them, though.
I don't actually. But it smells amazing. :3
"I only told her that it was a set up," Roxas said, his eyes leaving Namine and moving to the coffee table he was standing next to. He wondered if Sora and Riku told Kairi anything yet, but he knew that they must have just gotten there. That wouldn't have been enough time.

"Good. Everything looks fine here too," Roxas said into the phone, his eyes still resting on his girlfriend. "The only thing that's wrong is that Namine's dizzy. That pretty much proves that he wasn't lying about what he said." Of course he was talking about Smith, and of course Roxas never wanted to believe him. But it was obvious, even to him, that Smith wouldn't lie about something so cruel. He enjoyed it far too much.

"Yeah, it's me," Roxas answered immediately, confirming Sora's obvious suspicions. "Namine's fine. I'm guessing you're with Kairi?" He looked to Namine when he said her name, glad to see her sitting down since Smith was making her so dizzy. That angered him, but he focused on the conversation he was having for now. Kairi looked to Riku instantly, her eyes showing the millions of questions she was wanting to ask. What was going on? Why wouldn't either of them tell her what was going on? Why were they so out of breath when they got here? And why did they look so stressed? Riku saw Kairi's expression but didn't say anything. Instead he gave her a look that said, Just be patient. Things would clear up momentarily.
Hahaha. Which are gross. xD
Roxas went straight for the couch as soon as he was in the living room, seeing Namine's phone on the coffee table set in front of the furniture. He bent down and grabbed it, starting to dial Kairi's number since the possibility of Sora having his phone on him was slim to none. He brought the phone to his ear as he stood next to the coffee table, hearing the ring on the other line. Kairi turned at the sound of her phone, still standing in her entrance hall now that Sora and Riku had shown up. She was a little confused, neither of the boys really telling her what was going on and why they were back so soon.
....I really have no idea. x3
