Uhhhh, that's the point. An egg doesn't simulate how terribly obnoxious and needy an actual child can be, anyone can ignore an egg with a face drawn on it, it's harder to ignore something that simulates that babies cry constantly and you get absolutely no sleep when you have one. Also, I think the program should be done around 14-15, because frankly nowadays 17-18 is way too late, even one of the nicest most innocent girls I knew just barely made it to 17 without having sex, most girls hardly make it that long and are already having sex and potentially getting pregnant by 15. So, to be effective something like this needs to be implemented before any of that happens, as a deterrence.
